We were able to go out to the very first event for The Fall season Islands. Farmers market is a wonderful place for fresh food, crafted items and a visit some of the wonderful pets they're trying to adopt out. Make sure to check out rumrunner's bakery as well as the Two Birds Greek Cafe. These are some of our favorite vendors there and they are always there to serve you with a smile with amazing and fresh food. There are places to buy food and crafts for your human as well as animal friends. It's a great way to spend your Saturday morning out talking with people and enjoying the beautiful late summer and fall weather.

easy to get to and very shady where most of the vendors are located.

This is absolutely the worst “Farmers Market” ever! There were only one or two vendors selling produce - neither of which appeared to be fresh from farm. They also had no prices on any of the produce. If y’all gonna call it a Farmers Market you should actually have actual farmers selling locally picked produce from their own farms. Big disappointment - will not go again.

They didn't have anyone with produce. We did get our dog treats from "wheelies" we like their products. Otherwise, most of the other items were too arts and crafts for what we were looking for in a Saturday market. We will try them later in the season just nothing for us right now.

It's was hot. Summer in Savannah . But please be advised ,produce isn't on the menu. This is mostly a craft fair. There are bakers who attend. I'll be heading to Forsyth Park for fruits and veggies

I visited this market this past Saturday and was surprised by the assortment of venders and quality products. This is a great place to find quality produce, prepared foods, honey, seasoning, soaps, candles and more. The vendors are very friendly and there are no crowds, parking is easy.

Pretty much like every other farmer's market these days. Some pretty good stuff but everything priced ridiculously high.

We are never disappointed! I recently got a super yummy hot honey from local beekeeper, T's Bees! Too many yummy vendors!

Yelp
My kids and I had the morning free and we had some time to kill before a birthday party and I had been meaning to check out Island's Farmers' Market (IFM), so I decided to pack them up in the car and head out to check it out. Previously known as Wilmington Island Farmers' Market, this year (2019) it is located on the property of Lighthouse Baptist Church (401 Quarterman Drive at the corner of Highway 80 E & Quarterman Drive) on Talahi Island. According to their website, the hours are every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. from March-June and September-December, rain or shine. Parking - There is parking on the premises. That Saturday, a few weeks ago, the info booth for IFM was located in the back to the right, if you are looking at the market from the parking lot (not sure if their location changes from week to week). They informed me of a Kids' club called "Little Sprouts Kids' Club". I got a card for each child and every time the children go to IFM, they get a little sticker (kind of like a punch card) and at the end, they get a little prize. That week's activity was making puppy collars and bones. They had a good supply of things for them to make it and my kids thoroughly enjoyed that. In general, I look for actual farmers at Farmers' Market (well how about that?). There were only a few vendors who actually sold local produce. My routine at a Farmers' Market is, walk around once and take note of the most intriguing vendors, eat prepared foods if I see something I want to try and then shop at the end. The following are the vendors I actually purchased from: Krazian - an asian fusion food truck. My kids and I shared a plate of chicken wings. Very good. La Petite Ferme Microgreens - Sweet Pea sprouts. He cuts it right there if you'd like or have some already boxed that cut at the market. Was still nice and crisp a couple of weeks later. Brothers in Farms LLC - hydroponic lettuce, both leafy lettuce and a hybrid of leafy and romaine. It actually has the root still on so if you need a little boost, dunk the root in water and put it back in the fridge. They were great with the Korean BBQ I made that night! Le Cafe Gourmet - croissant. So good! Savannah Rum Runners Bakery & Cafe - 2 cake pops (1 vanilla and 1 chocolate) and a Key Lime mini bundt cake. Cake pops were demolished in seconds by my kids on the spot. Key Lime Cake was for hubby and he thought it was way too tart. I did not purchase from these vendors, but other vendors that stood out for me were: Gruber Farms - the largest Farmer vendor there. They had quite a large selection of fruits and vegetables. It is strawberry season, so they had little baskets and big buckets for sale ($15). They had a great assortment of vegetables. T's Bees - local honey, right from Wilmington Island. Boathouse - organic soy candles and some artwork. I checked IFM's website and it seems that they have a lot of vendors than what I saw on Saturday. Maybe the vendors vary by week? I think that they have a good mix of vendors from different categories. I would definitely like to see more "Farmers" though. All in all, great place to get some local produce and a quick bite!

Yelp
Quaint market, family friendly atmosphere. Fantastic produce products, baked goods, local honey & craft booths. I like this place because it's small enough to be in & out, but put together well enough for kids to stay the whole morning if you choose. Such a fantastic community gem. My daughter loves going. I enjoy the food trucks The Big Cheese is always a big hit.

Yelp
This is a great farmer's market. Fast becoming one of my favorites. I like the quality of the items here. Small, very well organized, with a great variety of items from seemingly hand picked reliable vendors. Not as intimidating as some larger venues can be, especially for those new to farmer's market shopping. Be sure to use whatever treatment you normally use to offset the sand gnats before you arrive though. Just in case. There is something for everyone and some items you can't find at other local farmer's markets. Fresh high quality produce, fresh baked breads and pastry items. Meats. Popsicles. Natural skin care and makeup. Jewelry, art, candles. Healthy kids club with fun educational activities to keep the little ones engaged and aware. Periodically they have a local chef lead a shopping demonstration and give recipes and/or ideas on how to pick right and make the most of your market finds. Each week here is a little different which provides anticipation for the following week's, or in my case bi-weekly, visit. I'm a fan.
