The Hit List: New Mexico City Restaurants To Try Right Now - Mexico City - The Infatuation

"For anyone who lives in Lomas de Chapultepec, Issi is a welcome addition to an area that lacks many restaurants. For everyone else, it’s a cute and easy place to stop in for date night, or dinner that won’t cost an arm and a leg compared to other places that are this swanky. This experience is worth it. You’ll find comfort American food, a bit fussed up, like their can’t-miss fish and chips: Spanish sea bass in a bowl full of creamy fish stock and topped with crispy-thin potatoes. And don’t pass on the BLT, Pero No—spicy shredded chicken, caramelized onions, grana padano, sprouted beans instead of lettuce, and, of course, bacon and tomato." - guillaume guevara

Issi - Review - Lomas de Chapultepec - Mexico City - The Infatuation

"For anyone who lives in upscale Lomas de Chapultepec, Issi is a welcome addition to an area that lacks many restaurants. For everyone else, it’s a cute and “easy” place to stop in for date night, or dinner that won’t cost an arm and a leg compared to other places that are this swanky. This experience is worth it. You’ll find comfort American food, a bit fussed up, like their can’t-miss version of fish and chips: Spanish sea bass in a bowl full of creamy fish stock and topped with crispy-thin potatoes. Don’t pass on the “BLT, Pero No”—spicy shredded chicken, caramelized onions, grana padano, sprouted beans instead of lettuce, and, of course, bacon and tomato. For drinks, go Negroni Sbagliato, a lighter take that swaps gin for prosecco." - Guillaume Guevara

Great experience. I recommend the chicken, greens beans, as well the pecan pie. Skip the heirloom tomatoes, not a big deal. Service is good, can improve. Atmosphere is great

Don’t waste your money! Very indifferent service, bland atmosphere and dark. I can see they trying to pot out elevated modern food, but every dish was way too heavily salted and seasoned. We told the waiter he shrugged. Dissatisfied so many food places to go don’t bother!!!

Google
he space is very small, causing the tables to be very close together. One of those places that is noisy, making it difficult to have a proper conversation. The menu is short for both food and wine, and I recommend not bringing your own wine because the corkage fee is high at $900. The service could improve, especially with details such as not waiting to bring the dishes to the table, as they arrived cold, including the coffee

Food is very good. All of the dishes I ordered were outstanding. Place is a bit hidden and very small in my opinion (felt in any place in Roma/Condesa). Definitely a place to go to eat but not great to go if you want to stay a bit more for drinks and a nice talk!

Google
Stellar food and service. The chef/owner spent quite awhile at our table and talked us through the menu. All the food was excellent but in particular the raviolli / tortellini was amazing. It made for a lovely meal with colleagues.

Google
Neighborhood gem. Quiet and quaint. Discrete and understated. Excellent food from a short menu and a refined set of recipes not designed to impress but to please and make you visit again. The atmosphere is welcoming, sophisticated and not pretentious.

Highly recommend for anyone who loves trying unique and flavorful food ..•

Disappointing. Place was practically empty and lots of servers, not interested in serving. Lack of management. Food is creative but too salty and overcondimented. And tables are tto tiny and crowded.
