The 25 Best Restaurants & Bars In Bellevue

"Right next to the Macy’s entrance at Bellevue Square Mall is a food stand that’ll save you when you can’t handle another mediocre salad from Earl’s. Istanbul Cuisine serves Turkish pide and gözleme made to-order on a griddle, and these flatbreads make for one of the best quick lunches in Bellevue. There are meat-based options like curry-rubbed chicken or ground lamb, but the spinach and feta gözleme is a standout, stuffed with lots of caramelized onions and melty mozzarella. Dip it in some minty yogurt sauce to cut through the richness." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley, gabe guarente

The Best Restaurants in the Eastside of King County | Eater Seattle

"Just outside Bellevue Square Mall, Istanbul Cuisine skirts the chaos inside and draws diners with its peppery cig kofte (a dumpling of rolled bulgur and spiced tomato paste) and tender hand-rolled yufka pastries. Occupying a 4-by-12-foot stall next to the Macy’s entrance off Bellevue Way, the one-or-two-person team rolls dough, griddles gözleme and pide, and fries peynir cheese-stuffed syrupy kunefe in front of onlookers. This Turkish street food spot offers a calmer dining experience than is normally found in downtown Bellevue; when the food is ready, walk across NE 4th Street to eat in the park. Istanbul Cuisine is open for takeout dining." - Brett Bankson

Google
Unsuspecting takeout stall in Bellevue so I expected it to be cheaper, but was more expensive than dining at a restaurant. $18 for a takeout item is too much. Food is tasty and has enough vegetarian options, but won’t be going back because of the price. Employees were very nice and helpful though.

Google
The food was super hot and burned my mouth. Did not have much taste to it other than the cheap vegetable oil it was cooked on. It is very expensive for what you get, there was barely any meat in my food. There are also very few tables and when it rains there’s only one that’s covered from the rain. Not good value.

Google
It's expensive but if it's between a $13 burger in the area, the top notch ingredients and fresh dough I'd do it again. Knafe is worth getting if you like the idea of eating a cheeseboard with honey and crackers.

Google
Absolutely delicious find. I feel like this food stand was more geared to employees and locals to the area than the Bellevue mall clientele and that's exactly what I was hoping for. Great authentic cuisine that you can't find locally elsewhere. The pide and cake were both phenomenal

Lamb and cheese patties: ‼ ️Must-eat for lamb lovers‼ ️ Super delicious! The lamb is big

Google
Oh. My. Gawd. Their pide is to die for. It's by the mall entrance and hard to miss. They are so friendly and answered questions I had, as there were dishes (like pide) that I'd never tried before. I thought I'd get one slice but nope got a whole pie! My husband was like not interested, but after one bite ate half because it's just that good!

We went here and had almost no expectations of an awesome food. But, man o man. The food really exceeded our expectations. We ordered almost everything, combo, ravioli, chef's special, and lahmajoon. All of them were outstanding. The price was also super reasonable. Will definitely be here again the next time I visit Seattle.

Google
It's a small place outside the Bellevue square mall. We absolutely loved their gozleme with the dip. It was very soft and the portion was worth it. The kunafa could have been a little bit more sweet but it was still really good.

Yelp
I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet! They don't have gluten-free options, so I can't speak from personal experience--but my mom, husband, kids, and literally everyone who's ever come over to my house loves their food. The smell alone is so tempting that I've considered risking it, but my allergies say absolutely not. I just wish they had gluten-free options so I could join in! I DoorDash from them 3-4 times a month, so yeah... they're that good. According to my family, everything is amazing. Oh, except the dolma--I did try that one, and it was just okay. So maybe skip that. But otherwise, go ahead and order. You might just end up as hooked as my family!

Yelp
Loitering around Bellevue Square, my stomach grumbled as I passed Istanbul Cuisine - probably because it evoked memories of my time in Turkey and the wonderful food I experienced there. So I ambled up to the window and ordered a Veggie Gozleme - spinach, potato and mozzarella sealed inside Turkish flatbread, with a tiny side of taziki sauce. Warm, fresh and gooey, a quick dip in the sauce and each bite took me back to the hustle and bustle of Istanbul. Thank you! This place hits the spot - if you're looking for authentic Turkish eats, stop by Istanbul Cuisine and dig in!

Yelp
Hidden Gem, very authentic and a great little spot for lunch. Can't find any place like this in the area. They just did a little renovation so I'm hoping the new look will help them be more noticeable. Skip the chain restaurants in the mall and go here!

Yelp
Great service. Lamb wrap and chicken Pide were very good. Good spice, fresh bread. Would go again.

Yelp
I loved the unique taste of the Kunefe. It was a lovely 50/50 of savory and sweet. The server took 10 minutes to complete my order. Well worth the wait. The location wasn't too loud. This is good. I liked the Turkish Coffee too. A nice balance afterwards to the dessert I ate.

Yelp
Like sometimes you just want a good savory pastry, that's filled with deliciousness with a little middle eastern/eastern European flavors, AND it's best when you grab a bunch to share, this my friends is the place. I actually love pides but to my surprise these were a little different (not in a bad way at all) but the dough is a thinner dough that is baked to order and filled with so much goodness. We ordered the Potato Gozleme 5/5 the Super Mix Gozleme 5/5 and Pepperoni Pide 5/5 and all of them were so yummy I would say hands down get the super mix as it has a little of everything and is so delicious!

Yelp
My absolute favorite stopover for a quick bite when I am in Bellevue square and want a quick lunch. We have ordered both potato and spinach Gozleme and they are both super delicious but potato filling is my absolute favorite. It reminds me of the bhaji in "Pav bhaji" -- an Indian street food that is smushed veggie gravy with a strong potato base and spices. They might look thin but they fill you pretty fast. The fillings are so flavorful. Have also tried their Cig kofte and loved it as well. Be prepared for a wait during peak times -- it can go as long as 20 minutes. Food is made to order but if you have time to spare or want to eat some spectacular Turkish food then I'd say it's worth it.

Yelp
This place is so awesome! I look forward to eating here every time we are in Bellevue

Yelp
Tiny takeout window connected to Bellevue Square next to the downstairs macys entrance. They offer a handful of items on the menu. My favorite is probably the Lamb Pide. It takes a while for the food to be ready but I don't mind since it's always hot and fresh. I can't resist every time I'm at the mall.
google avatar

Yelp
Restaurant is outside with a little window right next to the ground entrance to Macy's. It was alright. The prior Yelp reviews led me to be perhaps overly excited about trying this place. Got the super mix gozleme which had ground beef, potato, and spinach in it but it was nothing special imo. Tastes exactly like how you would imagine based on looking at the photo. Agree with prior reviews that it was seasoned well and came out piping hot but for $17 I would have expected more food and maybe something a bit fancier for lunch. Maybe I ordered the wrong item and would definitely try the kunefe next time which is one of my favorite desserts.

Yelp
Delicious, my first time having Turkish food and loved it! I would recommend order ahead!
google avatar

Jane N.

Yelp
The portions are really small! There's are no gluten free options except the dolma. Not authentic anything. Service was so so. Staff not knowledgeable. Kept calling it pizza. No indoor seating. Take out style.

Yelp
My go to lunch treat! It's easily accessible through the mall (Macy's ground floor entrance). The mom & daughter duo are great team. It's outside so be aware on a cold windy day. There are tables outside though! It's fun watching them make it, I've introduced this place to many coworkers and friends. The flavor is 10/10 though it's pretty pricey for what it is. Although it doesn't seem big, it'll stuff you up!

Yelp
I ordered a lamb pide and it was my first Turkish pizza! Super good and I love how the sauce goes so well with it. Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
I've always walked by this place, but never actually stopped for food so one day I decided to try it out! I've had a lot of Greek Mediterranean food, but not Turkish food. I ordered the beef gozleme, which came in a huge portion for one person, and I was able to eat the leftovers across the next couple days. The sauce that came with it was really good, but overall I felt the dish lacked a little flavor on its own. That paired with the fact the wait time was over 20min made it less likely I'd stop by again, personally. But try it out for yourself!
google avatar

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Decided to finally try this place after walking by it a ton of times while going to Bellevue Square. I got the beef gozleme and it was really good! I've never had Turkish food before so I didn't really know what to expect, but everything was flavored well and delicious. It was a bit messy to eat because the filling kept falling out, so make sure to grab some napkins. This is more like a food stand than a sit down restaurant. There are a couple of outdoor tables but they can fill up quick. It does take a while for them to make the food as well, so be prepared for a slight wait after ordering.

Yelp
Where do I begin, from the chewy thin dough (how is this real?!) to the amazing spices and flavors inside.. we've walked past this spot so many times without considering eating it! Today we decided to dive in and wow.. major regrets for all the times we walked by and didn't try it! We ordered one super mix gozleme to share and it was a Juicy and flavorful mix of ground beef, potatoes and spinach. At one point my wife confused the potatoes with cheese because it everything blended so well together! The staff was also nice. Just be patient because if you see people standing around, you'll likely have to wait 20-30mins due to only two people cooking (the stand only has enough space for two).. but it's worth it. We'll be coming back soon to try the pide version.. maybe even lamb pide!

Yelp
We have driven past Istanbul Cuisine many times and have wanted to try it. Recently when I was in Bellevue Square I decided to get dinner from Istanbul Cuisine. I got Chicken Wrap, and Chicken Pide. We loved both the Chicken Wrap, and Chicken Pide. The chicken filling in both was delicious. We will be back soon to try other items.
google avatar

Yelp
Istanbul Cuisine is right outside Bellevue Square in sort of a walk-up window like kitchen. It almost reminds me of a NY food cart. In my visits it's being managed by a pair of workers. You pay and the food is made to order right then and there. I had the Chicken Pide - Pita dough that is molded to look like a big flatbread pizza shaped and filled with toppings. In the case of this Chicken Pide - Marinated chicken, green onion, parsley and diced tomatoes. It was pretty good. chicken nicely flavored living up to its advertised marinating and the veggie fillings tasted fresh. I thought it could use a little spice though. It's Halal, nut and dairy free. It does come with a white sauce that I didn't think was that great. Only snag here is the price. $13.50 I think is a bit high and some of the other options go up from there.. Still though you get a fair amount two 'Pide's, sliced into tree pick up bites which it makes it fairly shareable if you aren't really hungry. If you're looking for some fast Mediterranean food though, Istanbul Cuisine is a decent choice especially since Bellevue square food court isn't that great.

Yelp
Yum...WoW...So delicious...Taste of real Turkish food. If you like their food you will love this place! Their pide is one of the best after my grandmother's pide... Just try it and you will take me later not one time only...So great! So clean!!!!! If its gooooooddddd its gooddddd....
google avatar

Kayleigh W.

Yelp
So delicious and unique! The service takes an average time - only 1 or 2 people taking orders and making the food. It's a walk up food stand with A few outdoor seating tables. Pricing has gone up since last time as have the sizes of the pide and gozleme. I've gone here a few times and will come back again when I'm in the area.
google avatar

Jenny L.

Yelp
Ordered the Super Mix Pide (ground beef, potato and spinach) online for $16.95 though Doordash and it was made fresh to order. It's a bit more expensive to order online than in-person. Food is made with care and it wasn't oily. It was a lot of food - definitely enough to fill up two for a quick and easy lunch. Maybe it was just the combo I ordered, but it was very saucy and messy to eat without utensils. I felt like it was a little bit on the bland side and I don't really eat too salty. I may try it with hot sauce if I come back next time.
google avatar

Huong L.

Yelp
I been eyeing this place for a while now since the review is so great and finally decided to try it. It is located right outside of Macy's and there are some seating so it was nice. We ordered the chicken pide and waited for about 10 minutes. It was definitely made fresh to order as you can see the person making it right there. I had pides before and this is not your normal pide. I'm not sure if I like it. Instead of it being more of a flat bread texture, it's more of like a wrap texture. I was definitely eating it as a wrap since it was so fragile and soft. The flavor though was really good. It was juicy and has a nice balance. Overall a good place to eat in the mall area, but I definitely like the other type of pides more

Yelp
Was looking for some delicious Turkish cuisine in the area, and Istanbul Cuisine popped up as a highly rated place to try! Thus, we decided to swing by on Friday around 6:30pm and waited about 5-7 minutes for our food. It was really rainy the day we went, and the only casual seating options for about 6 were outdoors near the restaurant, which was not ideal for eating in the restaurant vicinity. This would be a great environment to enjoy the food on a nice and sunny day though! I got the Super Mix Gozleme and the Pistachio Cake, which I'll review down below: Super Mix Gozleme: Yum - this is a delicious entree! I haven't heard of a gozleme before and the description and pictures of it made it sound pretty enticing. The dough was light and was more filling and soft than crispy, and the filling had good flavor and you can taste the spices in the beef and potato. The potato was very tender and basically a soft paste, with the occasional difference in texture from the spinach. Pistachio Cake: The pistachio cake was mostly some chocolate cake with light frosting on top and then dusted with pistachio crumbs. The cake was good, but I would have prefer some more pistachio flavoring throughout the cake, and not just chocolate cake with just pistachios scattered on top. Overall, I spent about $20 for everything, which I thought was alright given the quantity of food. I personally wished for a bit more food, but that is just my preference. There were some interesting options on the specials portion of the menu and would definitely like to revisit to try these options!
google avatar

Kathy X.

Yelp
Just discovered this place and it's so good! Ordered the Super Mix Pide, which has potato, beef, and spinach in it. There's a bit of a kick and the potato makes it really creamy. Ordered the Pide using their online ordering system, and the food was ready when we got there.
google avatar

Rafia A.

Yelp
Placed a delivery order for the Beef Gozleme and Baklava. In the future I'd probably not order in because the Beef Gozleme was cold. However, it was delicious. And I did enjoy the little white sauce that was included, enhanced the flavor. I feel like the portion was fair for the price paid. The baklava was really fresh and was the perfect treat.
google avatar

Meiyee W.

Yelp
After a nice long stroll in the area, the delicious aroma of this spot drew us in and capture our hearts. Seating wise, there seem to be a decent amount of tables outside and space to sit to enjoy your food (first come, first serve kind of situation). The "Ground Beef Gozleme" are made fresh to order and I enjoyed every bite of this goodness. It comes in a cute pizza box and is steaming with deliciousness as soon as you open it. It is also a nice portion size to share, but if you are really hungry..you should get your own because you will not be able to resist! The Baklava is a must order, and the perfect way to finish this delicious meal. Flakey and filled with pistachio goodness, it's not too sweet and is the perfect bite. I have a feeling that this will be one of my go-to spots! Enjoy!
google avatar

raees e.

Yelp
This place is okay for gozleme and pide; cig kofte is premade and they don't sell authentic Turkish tea or coffee Btw way overpriced Fake baklava too
google avatar

Sarah L.

Yelp
I had the ground beef gozleme and thought it was just good. A little plain on its own but pretty tasty with some Franks Red Hot (which they provide). The sauce that comes with it might help too but I didn't like it. This is more personal preference though, I'm not sure if it has anise in it but it had something that gave a licorice-y taste. I also had the baklava which was quite tasty and I really enjoyed! Service was good, the workers were friendly and food came out pretty fast. It is right outside Bellevue square mall so there is lots of seating while you wait!

Zafina A.

Yelp
It was nice to see the food being made in front of us. It came out very fast as well. The food was piping hot on a very cold night
google avatar

Tiffany T.

Yelp
The chicken Kir Pidesi was amazing. It comes cut in 6 pieces, and I split it three-way with 2 other friends, so it made for a great quick lunch. I really enjoyed the flavors of the chicken and some kind of herb they put in it (parsley?). Finishing just 2 pieces left me craving more. It was nice and hot because they make it to order. I also got the pistachio cake, but I would not recommend this. For $5, it's just a normal chocolate cake with sprinkle of pistachio on the top, which I could barely taste. However, they are known for their hot food, so I still give this place 5 stars.
google avatar

Gemma R.

Yelp
Looking to taste some delicious savory Turkish snacks in Bellevue? There is a little food stand outside the Macys at the Bellevue mall for just that. Turkish food is rare to find, so this place, so unassuming, was a gem to explore. Everything is made fresh, so there is a long wait from the time you order to when you get your food, but you can see it being made and cooked for you, so it is fun to watch. You can also order online and pick it up if you are in a rush. It is also all Halal and a women-owned business! With options galore, I stood there for a while just reading the menu, but at the end I recommend the Super Mix Gozleme because it has a combination of the other gozlemes, including, beef, potato, and spinach in the flatbread. Make sure to grab some napkins before you sit down. It comes out piping hot in a pizza box, and you can roll it up or bend it like a pizza to eat it. It's also accompanied with a nice, refreshing white yogurt sauce, which is amazing for dipping. Each one is giant, so it can be shared by 2 people or you will likely have to bring the leftovers home. When it's cold or wet outside, you're out of luck because there is nowhere to stay warm and you have to sit on a cold bench outdoors with no heater, so that is the major downside. I would add Istanbul Cuisine to the list of places to visit as a quick stop to taste a piece of Turkey while running around the Bellevue area and mall!
google avatar

Viswa V.

Yelp
Kinda expensive imho, but the food tastes good. They have a small kitchen and there can be a wait for your food.
google avatar

Keira L.

Yelp
If you're looking for this place, it's located outside Macy's at Bellevue Square, across the street from STK Steakhouse. We got the baklava (2 pieces), the Super Mix Pide and the Super Mix Gozleme. The food was good, particularly the baklava! Be warned, though, because the wait can get quite long. We placed an order around 5pm on Saturday and it took 20 minutes for our order.

Brenda E.

Yelp
Good food, but no seating inside and it does take awhile to get the food. You can always walk inside the mall and find a spot
google avatar

Emily Z.

Yelp
Stopped by this small pick up spot in Bellevue Square. I ordered the Ground Beef Gozleme and Lamb Pide. The Gozleme is like a crepe, while the Pide is like a quesadilla since it has mozzarella. I preferred the Pide but both are pretty good. The pricing is $14-16 each, and the portion is pretty big. Be ready to wait 20-30 minutes after ordering to pick up your food!

Matthew K.

Yelp
The ladies behind the counter are very nice and attentive. Food came quick tasted fresh and was well prepared and served. Good portion for the price too. Vegan and vehicle options. Will definitely be back! Thank you! Keep up the great work.

Selena L.

Yelp
Have been looking for a place that sells Baklava in the Bellevue area.. and came across this place! Located right in the entrance of Macy's at Bellevue Square. - Their service is amazing, staff/chef was kind and friendly. - Baklava was sweet, flaky, flavorful with pistachio, and delicious! Ended up buying more. Would definitely recommend!
google avatar

Jeff L.

Yelp
Small place outside the mall; Food comes really fresh and hot which is a plus. Lamb pide is very crisp and the lamb is well cooked. The Super Mix Gozleme was flavorful, the wrap was a bit thin though. The tzatziki sauce was really watery though and could've been better.
google avatar

Lucy C.

Yelp
We've wanted to try this place for a long time! Finally had a chance and ordered lamb pide! There is hardly any lamb in the pide that you wonder where is the lamb? And for the price we paid (almost $20) it's really a rip off! We felt like what we got is a cheese pide until the last slice has a little lamb! Stay away if you don't want to be ripped off
google avatar

Steven L.

Yelp
I've walked by here so many times and never thought about stopping by, but I'm so glad that I finally tried this place! First, the food is ready super quick, under 10 minutes usually even during peak time. Second, love how perfect the bread is and how perfectly chewy it is. There's just the right amount of flavor and stuffing inside. Parking can be found in the outdoor lot next to the Xfinity store and it's only a few minutes walk to the restaurant!

Wang L.

Yelp
Beef pide is good tasting Uses a lot of oil so better eat when hot There is onion and tomato dice inside Rich spice flavor
google avatar

Kelvin M.

Yelp
Istanbul Cuisine is pretty solid Turkish food, and I would visit again. Lamb pide: this was amazing. it was like a lamb pizza, and the sauce included was a great addition to the pide. The portion size is pretty decent, but it is around $18 for it. Baklava: do not recommend. This was almost $10 when we went for 2 tiny pieces. The taste was good, but the price is way too high to justify getting. Kunefe: get this instead. The taste is great. It's cheesey, it's sweet, and it's crispy. A great dessert option to finish off your meal with.

Anna B.

Yelp
i love the cubed meat pide. its so good. seasoned well, tender meat, flavorful and cheesy. my only complaint is its a bit pricey, but i never leave without feeling full to the brim from 1 pide. it should come with a beverage or something.
google avatar

Sarah T.

Yelp
DELICIOUS! I wish I could give more stars this place is amazing and just what I wanted on a chilly Washington day. We got the lamb pide and it was so worth the wait. We had about a 20 minute wait before food was ready so we took a walk right down the street in Bellevue park then got back just in time for our food to be ready! Perfect for a lunch date or mall shopping break!
google avatar

Brian C.

Yelp
So this time I knew not to order certain things but to try what was popular. My only thing is the food looks similar in some aspects of rolled up bread with different toppings. Even though they look the same they don't all taste the same so that is good. The ground beef is the one that is super flavorful but the spinach I think is more filling with the moz. They also gave a knife fork and spoon for a to go order clap clap clap. I defied that since I was solo and ate them like a sailor. Overall I was more impressed this time by the food quality and timeliness they gave a good cadence with Doordash, I wish they had the lentil soup for delivery that was my ding because I really wanted to try two of these and the lentil and save the rest for lunch. Overall good food much better than what I had a y

Yelp
I was craving something "different" from the usual blah fast food. I chose the spinach and feta flatbread. It was absolutely delicious and honestly a big enough entree to serve 2, or have foe Leftovers. The baklava was excellent. Will def go here again while in Bellview!!

Shallan R.

Yelp
Food is tasty but a little oily. There's nowhere dedicated to sit if it's cold/cool outside.
