Italia Express Denton

Italia Express is one of my favorite pizza places in Denton! It’s located inside Golden Triangle Mall and has seating available. I absolutely love their cheese pizza slice, fettuccine alfredo, and tortellini pasta—they’re all amazing! The quality and freshness of their pasta really stand out. If you’re looking for great pizza and pasta, this is the place to go!

I had been here before, but after a year coming back I felt a huge positive difference in customer service. The Strombolis and Pasta were super delicious. I highly recommend them to try.

I've been here a couple of times for lunch and the pizza has been pretty good. The flavor is good and I really like the crust. A slice of pizza with pepperoni runs me $5. As far as I know they're isn't a lunch special. However I'm going to keep this pizzeria in my lunch rotation, because they're quick and so far the pizzas had been consistently good. The pizza is above average, it's not the best pizza slice ever you ever had. However I recommend it. I'm already a repeat customer.

It's never busy, I'm in and out fast. I usually come at 12:00 lunch time on weekdays. There's only ever been 2 other people in line with me. They get you in and out quick. $5 a slice. The slices are pretty big and taste good. They have plenty of drinks options as well.

My absolute favorite place for pizza! The staff is always so super friendly and the pizza is just perfect for the price. My fave combo is ham/pepperoni/jalapenos. The crust is amazing and my favorite part. Not too thick/thin.

The fettuccine noodles were good, the Alfredo tasted like they used too much flour. More cheese less powder. The chicken tasted like pre packaged meat. Not fresh. The chicken Parmesan was not very good either. Chicken tasted like bubble gum and the red sauce was too thin. The garlic bread was ok, the side of Alfredo was not cheesy, it was like a gravy. I really wanted to like this place. It was a bomb in my opinion.

Italian from NY here. Here in Texas it is hard to find great pizza. Who would have thought that in a Denton Tx mall I would come across this phenomenal pizza place. Hidden in the half empty mall I was hungry while I had an emergency phone repair. WOW, I ordered a slice of the stuffed pizza. I was speechless it was so authentic in every way. The next day I had to return to the phone store and I went home with a whole stuffed pizza. IT reminds me of the NY calzones with the little cups of pizza sauce to dip in. Though it seems just a bit pricey, when you are handed the box you will realize that this is the equivalent of at least 2 pizzas in total content. I will be going back A LOT as long as they do not change anything. Great food, have been a regular for over a year to grab a bite probably almost every week but ask for itemized receipts each time because I just caught them over charge me. Even though it is just a few dollars and they gave me money back but it made me wonder if they've been overcharging more than once. I would have offered a drink or something for their mistake but they just gave me change for overcharging me. I am sorry but they just lost a regular customer.

Wow what a pizza, it was huge! They only offer 1 size but man was it good. It was a traditional NY Style pizza. It is inside the mall but it's the first location in the food court. I called it in and was told 15 minutes and as I arrived they were pulling it out of the oven. Great pizza and I'll be back. Me and the wife will be having leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Give it a try but don't order from DoorDash or Uber Eats because you can't add extra toppings from their site. It's delicious

Sharron Pizza by another name. Portions were good, but not particularly tasty and service was middling. It's typical mall food court level Italian food. Not bad. Not great. Merely OK. Even considering the reasonable price.

I was not expected mail Italian food to be good. My order came hot and quick. I ordered the supreme Stromboli and Caesar salad. Both came with dressings on the side and added to the entrees.

I have to attribute this review to Richard S. because I was intrigued when I read his review earlier this year. It was because of that review that I recognized the name of this place when passing by a couple of weeks ago and becoming entranced by the pictures they had up! Since then it's been on my mind, and since my husband could eat pizza every day, I knew it was just a matter of time before I returned to try the food. That day has arrived! Considering they are in the mall, I was expecting mostly pizza and apps. They certainly have pizza, the line was full of it and they were varied and huge! However, the pasta on the menu really got my attention, the ravioli and tortellini were both things I wanted to try and the prices were so good! Short of ordering an entire pizza, everything is $7 or less. We took advantage of the lunch special they told us about- 2 slices of pizza and a medium drink for $8.69. I went with the beef and my husband went with some sort of stuffed-like-a-sandwich concoction that I was surprised they allowed to be included in the deal. It was a pepperoni pizza stuffed with pepperoni, ham and sausage. This thing was huge and so thick! It was at least 3 times as heavy as my slice! Anyone who has read my other reviews knows I'm not a huge pizza fan. I generally rate my pizza reviews from general expectations since I'm so picky. This is a review that I can honestly do from my own opinion and taste buds- it's good!! I was REALLY digging their crust, sooo good and crunchy, it was way better than any of the other places in town! The toppings were pretty good, but that cheese would be my second favorite thing about it. I also liked that my slice wasn't greasy, nicely done! Though I believe these slices are well worth $3.69, I am very interested in trying other items on their menu. They have salads, sandwiches, strombolis and calzones too, but I am locked on to their pastas- ALL of them. Can't wait for the next time I'm in the area, definitely going to get a pasta next. I saw someone with a salad and it looked good too! If I'm being 100% honest, I wouldn't have even given this place a second thought without Richard S. simply because they are in the mall food court. We were immediately greeted, the two gentlemen there consulted with us on options and deals. When I was telling my husband I had narrowed it down to a couple of choices, they even asked me how hungry I was and made suggestions based on portion sizes! The woman there that does the cooking did a fantastic job! We received our drink and found a table. They call out by the order, so be mindful if someone ordered the same thing you did! There were three orders in front of us and we still got our food in 5-6 minutes. At one point, I tried to take pics of the menu, but it's posted high and I'm short so I was bummed I couldn't get a closer shot. When I went to retrieve our order, the gentleman who had rung us up said he noticed I was trying to take pictures and I might want a to go menu. Not only is that observant and thoughtful and really cool, he took the time to tell me they take call in orders and that the pizzas are 20 inches and come with up to 4 free toppings! I was loving the level of service and attention I got, and not just for a food court, for any restaurant! They were really kind and friendly and attentive and I was surprised to learn they actually offer the first refill free! The only thing that might be confusing is since they have other locations that do offer delivery, the cups may seem misleading. The cups say 'We cater * We deliver' and also lists out all their locations. Delivery applies to the stand alone locations, not here. I just wanted to clarify that before someone gets on here and gives them a bad review for 'false advertising' or something. They were very quick to explain when I asked them about it. When we first arrived, there were only a couple of people finishing up. However, it didn't take long for other people to arrive and swarm. This required some multi-tasking on their part and I think they did a really good job of managing the crowd. I saw another crowd form as we were leaving the food court (okay, I admit it, I was going to Le Macaron) but everyone was served by the time we returned. I was personally impressed. So pleased with our first visit- the pizza, the options, the service and the price- all fantastic! I would absolutely recommend! Damn... writing this review made me crave another slice of pizza... thanks a lot, Yelp.

We LOVE Italia Express. The alfredo rocks. The calzones rock. The food just always rocks. We order from DoorDash all the time, and it always comes hot and delicious. Once we went by the restaurant to pick up dinner, and had the most wonderful chat with the staff. Kind, generous, and funny. This is hands down our favorite place in Denton. We order every Sunday! Best treat to start the week.

If you're at the Golden Triangle Mall, you should definitely stop by and grab a slice of pizza at Italia Express! The service is amazing. The manager is so friendly, and helpful! The pizza slices are HUGE, and the crust is delicious. Can't wait to go back!

Six years after my first review and this place is still good! I tried the lasagna and garlic knots today and it was reallllly tasty. I will definitely be back to get it again.

I was doing a little shopping while i was out of town and was shaking by the time i was done. I had hoped to go to a more unique local restaurant while I was here, but I wouldn't make it till then. Figured this would be a safer choice than the sushi place beside it! I got the fettuccini alfredo. It came with a complimentary breadstick, which was nice. I think it had a bit too much sauce on it but otherwise it was almost good as my local italian place! A nice surprise!

Great pizza !! Fast and hot but the guy/owner who's always up front is very creepy and sexist. Always asking how many boyfriends I have and making me feel very uncomfortable.

I've had pizza in the best pizzerias of Rome, Naples (Italy), NYC, and Chicago. Ergo, I know my pizza. Therefore, I'm flabbergasted at the glowing reviews of this hole in the wall. It's one of the worst pies I've ever had. Once was more than enough. I know good reviews can be bought online these days, but this place's fake score takes the cake.

This place, inside the mall, is better than most sit down restaurants! The staff is always friendly, the food is always yummy, and definitely an express! The food is out super fast! I'm always impressed by this place!

I had lunch here for the first time in many months and every time I eat here I always realize that I should come here more often. It's the best pizza in the Denton area hands-down. Seriously. I don't know why I don't think of it more often - perhaps because it is in the mall food court so I falsly categorize it as cheap mediocre food. I don't know why but this place doesn't get the attention it deserves. There are other pizzerias in the area that get loads of reviews but yet this place has only a few. The staff members are always extremely welcoming and very energetic, almost excited, to serve their customers. It's fantastic. They always have a wide range of pizza selections available, from the typical cheese pepperoni to double-crust spinach ricotta. They also have incredibly good calzones and stromboli, pastas, and salads. The pizza is typically served by the slice but you can order a whole pizza if you want. The slices are huge but they are thin crust so they are not overly filling and they are not greasy at all. They take your slice and throw it into a hot oven right behind the counter for a minute or two and it comes out perfectly hot with the absolute perfect amount of crisp on the crust but yet its still soft. It's amazing how they do the crust that way - it's almost the texture of a croissant in that it has a slightly crispy outter layer but yet still soft inside. The pizza folds very nicely and holds its shape making it so easy to hold in one hand. Their pastas are great too because their red sauce is among the best I've ever had. They have a side salad and large salads of Greek and Italian varieties. The Greek salad comes with tomato slices, cucumbers, kalamata olives, feta, and romaine. They offer a range of dressings served on the side but I always ask for a bit of their red tomato sauce to use as dressing. They have some fountain sodas behind the counter and a few bottled options. Give this place a try if you are in the area. Don't be fooled by the food court reputation - this place is a top-notch authentic pizzeria. If you eat there and you enjoy it, drop them a review on Yelp to give them some rep because they certainly deserve it.

Great pizza and the Calzones are fantastic! Highly recommended eating here. Pizza is always hot and cooked to perfection.

The pizza is good the owners work there and they very nice I'm proud of their business each time we go to the mall we were there and order pizza my kids love it the way they cut the pizza in little pieces for them they're always very nice you never see them have a bad day if they do they don't bring it to work when you go in there for many years and if it has never changed it's always good

Holy shit ok first of all the only reason I was in this god awful mall in the first place because I got in a car wreck on the 35 on my way to Oklahoma because some idiot didn't tie down his cargo and sent a bunch of doors and shit flying in the road. The cop tells us he can drop us at the "mall" nearby and he'll take us to the "food court" side of the mall. The "food court" in this mall is two restaurants- Italia Express, and a place called Chow Joe Cuisine. I thought that this couldn't be all the restaurants in this mall. How many restaurants constitute a "court"? Apparently, Golden Triangle Mall believes the answer is: more than one. As an Asian person, the idea of eating at a place called Chow Joe Cuisine made me, to say the least, supremely depressed. Italia Express it was. I'll take my meal between the Buckle and the Sear's As I turned the corner from Chow Joes to Italia Express, the first thing that caught my eye was a lightly bearded man with the eyes of a doe and the gait of an alpha giraffe. This baby faced panty dropper is about to serve me pizza? But then I had the calzone, and, well holy shit. Perfect amount of cheese, pepperoni is amazing, and he used different layers of at least two types of cheese (mozz + goat? Or feta? Unsure). Let's just say, after my first bite, the calzone wasn't the only thing that had white goo inside of it. I've memorized the Mr. Pizza Playboy's face, I will never forget him as the calzone master, since I will never come back to this dinosaur turd of a mall again

The older worker or possibly owner is as sexist as they come. I don't get uncomfortable often, and he made that happen to the point I almost wanted to not give him my money and business. Decent pizza but my morals will not allow me to go back.

Incredible food for super great price. All the workers are friendly every single time. They are quick and accommodating even for to go orders. Their portions are huge and always fresh. We love grabbing food here on lunch break or for dinner. Great vegetarian options as well!

I am borderline obsessed with pizza. This is by far my favorite New York style pizza I've tried anywhere in DFW. The slices are massive. I've been known to put down some pizza, but I should probably stop after one slice because they're so big. The crust has a nice crunch but chewy too. The sauce and toppings are amazing. The customer service is always exceptional. I'm really surprised they're located in the mall, but I'm telling you, it's perfection!

Had their slices to go and most part the pies were solid. More of NY style, like Sbarro's or other NY slice shops.

I'm so incredibly impressed !!!!! My family is from New York so my pallet can identify quality Italian food. Fresh and yummy! I've never had a calzone that had this much spinach and it's nicely seasoned as well!

I can't say enough about this amazing pizza. The crust isn't particularly flavorful per say (it's not a bad thing just comparing to the overly flavored crusts nowadays) and the texture is perfect. Like the fresh baked bread from the oven my mom used to make. The bottom of the pizza has the perfect light crunch to it and I think that is my absolute favorite part. The ingredients taste really fresh as well. Please never ever leave Denton!!

The thin crust pizza here is really my favorite in Denton. The crust is always fresh and never greasy. They are reasonably priced and offer a variety of salads and pasta, as well.

I rarely leave reviews for pizza places, because I am a pizza snob and tend to be pretty picky. This place stands out though. If you're going for a quick meal- they got it. If you're going for a quick, tasty meal- they got it. If you're interested in great, friendly service- you're in the right place. I usually go here once or twice a week (don't tell my wife). Each time I'm happy with my food and service. I recommend.

The pizza is so freaking good. The bottom of the pizza is crunchy but not hard. While the cheese is gooey and not brunt. They have a variety of different types of pizzas and Italian foods (pastas, garlic bread and calzones). The owner is very nice and greets people with a smile. Would recommend to anyone

This is the best pizza spot in Denton. They do not give you cheap toppings as the peppers, mushrooms, and so on were all fresh and delicious. We got an extra large pizza with 6 toppings and it was less than $20! Not to mention it was huge!!!
