Where to Eat, Drink, and Tour Distilleries in Ivy City - Eater DC

"Fast-casual pizza spot Pidzza offers a Turkish take on pizzas. Diners can get their pide customized, or try signature “pidzzas” like The LMC (ground beef, tomato, onion, parsley, green pepper, garlic and spices). There’s salads too, and breakfast and dessert pide options. —Adele Chapin" - Adele Chapin, Missy Frederick

Located between the train tracks and the city’s main sex dungeon, this charming spot offers up space for a ghost kitchens where you can get Burmese, Cajun, African and whatever you want for not cheap. I had the cajun chicken and shrimp for $25 (pickup) and they did a perfect job forgetting the chicken. The whole system is built for delivery so theres no phone number or counter where you can place orders or get them fixed when they mess it up. If you are willing to pay what they are asking, let the delivery companies deal with them and avoid coming down to their location - but if you must come to the location, there are some benches out front with a great view of the concrete plant across the street. It’s still takeout-only, so the only service in the “dining area” is the solar powered police surveillance tower they have out there instead of trees or umbrellas.

Visiting DC, first time ordering here. Love the concept...but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. Placed order from Roll Play around 6:30pm. It said food would be ready between 6:55 and 7:05. I never received a confirmation by phone or email, which seemed odd. (I don't think I've ever ordered ANYTHING online without receiving a receipt.) But the system at the pick-up site had my name in it, so I know my order went through. Every time I checked the order status from 7:00 to 7:25, the order was "still processing," never "cooking." If you have a problem with your order, it's VERY hard to track someone down to help (no bell or phone or anything). A guy finally appeared to bring other people's food to the drop boxes, and he went to get someone from the Roll Play, who had to make a couple of trips to the back before telling us there was no record of our order, even though my name showed up on the screen and my credit card had processed!!! So he had to make our order from scratch. And we forgot to mention the egg roll order, so we paid around $8 for food that we never got to eat. We finally got our order at 7:45, 40 minutes late. The food itself was ok, but we wasted nearly an hour waiting.

If I could give zero stars I would. Ordered delivery at 7:30pm and NEVER GOT MY FOOD. There is no phone number or email address to reach out to. There is no way to fix the problem. Horrendous! Will be actively telling everyone I know not to order from here ever. I need a refund.

Location - convenient for me since I live 2 min away! I would walk in the day but will definitely drive if I came at night. Customer service: amazing. The woman at the front window was kind and helpful. Ordering: convenient self-checkout kiosk. There is only one kiosk so when all food places have moved in they will need to add more. Or maybe that is what the woman at the front window will do? Not sure. Food: When I visited around 4pm on a Wednesday only Burger King, nestle toll house, paisanos pizza, and another place were open (forgetting). I ordered from nestle and paisanos. Nestle toll house— cookies were packaged in the cutest box! I love the card. The cookies weren’t warm though even after I picked up right after they had been added into the pickup box. I would like to come back and try if they are warm since the packaging was so nice. 2 cookies came up to under $4.80- ($2.25/each+tax)might be normal for cookies but I wish they were a little bigger like call your mother bagel shop. Paisanos— why is this location not on the paisanos official website!? I’ve been driving to college park to pickup pizza when it has been 2 min away all along! There is not wings made here unfortunately so if you want those you’ll have to go to a free standing store. Pizza seemed like it was the same price as my order in a free standing store so I can’t complain about price. Overall I liked this location! I’ve been to another ghost kitchen-like place in Brookland and that one has an overwhelming smell once you walk in since all vendors are right there. This one doesn’t have a strong smell of any vendor, which would be overwhelming. The place is clean and has a unisex bathroom if you need to wash your hands before you eat outside on one of the 4 patio tables, which is the only place to sit and eat.

I ordered food from “Tabtim Siam” today and it was fantastic! I ordered their PadThai. The flavor of this dish reminds me of Thailand so well when I visited last summer! I love it and would recommend!

Worst DoorDash experience with them ever. They have no phone number to contact anyone. They allowed someone to steal my order then refused to remake the order. Like WTH

Absolutely terrible experience. Waste of 60min of my life...and no food to be had. I spent 20min waiting for food and 40min trying to figure out where the hell my orders were. We ordered from Moonbowl and F#ck Carbs directly from the food hall main page and received confirmation. When we went to pick it up they could not find them and offered no solutions. We showed them receipts and that the charges went through on our card but nothing - just shug of shoulder. Similar response was given to another customer who ordered and paid online but that restaurant was closed. Customer service is gruff and lacking basic customer or problem solving skills. First and last time visiting this place and 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND.
