Nice place, music was a little too loud, but everything else was good, nice looking people, fun time.

It was one of the best cantinas I party back in the day. Even now, they have quality music. Thank you for all the wonderful times spent. 🌹🩷

I went to the Cumbia Brunch last weekend. The plates are huge but the food portion is small. You will need to eat after. They charge a lot and very little satisfaction. The music is the best part.

This place is also Hawg Heaven BBQ & Gastro Pub. I went for lunch. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is pleasant. Parking is tricky. Either you find it on the street or you'll need to locate the nearest public parking lot.

I actually have been here a few times cool spots the atmosphere is need. Large dance floor staff pretty nice. I hear the pizza is really good. prime spot in downtown Pasadena you may have to look for parking or choose to pay for it.

I tried coming on Sunday. Google says they're open 8pm-10pm. I get there at 8pm and the place is empty and closed. I was very disappointed. This was going to be my first time exploring Ixtapa, but it was spoiled because Google has the hours posted inaccurately. Watch out for blank trips.

They advertise on TikTok come meet a zaddy and to wear your white. And it was free. I got there it was a $30 cover chard parking was &15.00 and ultimate mimosa it was $25 For 1 1 /2 hour. Which v h was some bull. And they had parris going on which the theme was cowboy attire. I will never go back there again.

This is a nice Mexican restaurant plus Cantina and I really enjoyed their Friday Mariachi night! All the food was delicious and the service was fantastic throughout. The Mariachi performers change each week making for great variety. Parking is either in paid structures or metered on the street.

Its an amazing Restaurant, good food and nice music, it's perfect to celebrate occasions, date nights and you name it... love this place I've been there twice andI'm planning to go there soon.

Don't let the signs outside fool you, this is NOT a true BBQ place at all. I ordered the BBQ tri-tip plate, and the waiter said "how would you like that cooked?". I responded with "how do I want it cooked?? If it's BBQ, isn't it already premade cooked up in the smoker?" Nope. They just grill up slices to order and dump BBQ sauce on it. Food was very mediocre, service was just "ok" seeing as the entire place was empty inside. However the live music "johnny cash cover band" was actually decent.....so they had that going for them that evening. This place serves better as a cantina/bar than an actual restaurant.

I am on a health journey. And on rest days, I am still suppose to move to make them active rest days so I go out to dance finding a Zumba movement in clubs. A co-worker recommended this joint and I went to see, so I could experience it and then be able to see what he was talking about not, just not hear about it. Not quite trust but verify, but hear and experience. I went in around 10 and the club was mildly crowded but still crowded enough for the dance floor to be alive. It was a toddler dancing to the Macarena not yet a dance breaker in full backspin. I danced alone. Movement was the mission. This girl with a sash ( she was the birthday girl, or a bride to be, or a pageant winner, the less likely option) started to dance feet away from me. She started to mirror my movements. She started to mirror my music induced convulsions. I got shy. I was seen. I closed my eyes to feel the song on my skin, through out my blood and cells so my thoughts could be silenced and when I opened them I continued to see her mirror my moves. She was vibing with me. The joint had spirit that connected us both. Or maybe the girl just was down to have a good time, when she saw another down for the same. Eventually the dance floor did become a vibrant pulse--- it was a crowd full of revelers, dancing, swaying, searching, in a phrase the dance floor had become a singular movement of pump and purpose. I was now less seen. I turned to the wonder of the place and saw some bounces (staff) dancing, but not really. They were mimicking movement of dance but in a humorous way. The spirit of the joint had made some workers dance with glee. I wish I could dance at work, with glee. But I have an office job. If I tap my pen too harshly with enthusiasm, I become too loud. It made me envious for a second. I was positively jealous with green, then red, then yellow, then white. The place has bustling lights as well. I did not drink on this night, not because I took an oath, but because I had pre-gamed earlier at another local bar. I did not try the drinks but I definitely want too, next time I go. I just happened to be my own driver that night, and you know, I cant be on the road while even tipsy cause then I would be doing something wrong, not only for myself but for others. And I try to avoid that, when I can. What I appreciated a lot about this place, is that it had tables that were usually there for eating. So when I was tired, and needed a sit, I could easily find one. I was part of the crowd and the music, in the thick of it, at times, while others I was a viewer of the movement. I was able to be the Ying and Yang of the club, by way of space. This place is a small club but is mighty in punch and bounce. Go here, especially, if you are looking for more than just movement. Go here if you are looking for all the regular things that a club offers and you are in a place of your life stage where you can fully appreciate all those things.

The bouncers were friendly. Bartenders were cool. Drinks were reasonably priced. There was plenty of seating available. We were unable to try the food since we went during the night, but the music was lively. The bathrooms are clean, and there was no drama.

$40 something cover charge for males to get in at 10pm on a Friday? And some other charge for females? Bartenders are awesome here and I give credit to the DJs. Pero no se pasen. I know yall hurting but damn.

We went for Sunday brunch. I didn't get any food pics. But the atmosphere was smooth and vibing in the morning. DJ Beez is always a treat. And the saxophonist was very cool. The younger crowd started coming in early afternoon. It was time to go.

I love this place! Coworkers brought me here for my birthday! They have buy one get one free drink for happy hour & $5 well drinks which I think is a good deal. Also drinks are pretty strong for happy hour :) Ambiance was good it was pretty busy but we got served pretty quickly when we needed a drink. I love that this area was a little bar hopping kinda area and parking was easy to find.

I'm surprised no one has sued them for making them deaf. The sound quality is horrendous. They don't care. Sad.

Place is good, good music, good drinks, they have good prices, but there is always a classic drunk behavior problematic people in there, I wish they can have more control with their customers

Irish car bombs for $6 and 2 for 1 green Stella beer for happy hour plus delicious happy hour grub on St Patrick's day it's all good. Throw in a DJ spinning the jams and it's a bomb ass party. Calamari was fire, the braised beef tacos were delicious and the meatballs with garlic knots were great. We worked it all off on the dance floor.

The ambiance was great. 2000's music, people were fun. Food & drinks were good. Tried mimosas & Tequila. The service could've been better. Too bad they don't respect reservations.

If I could give this bar 0 stars I would. This club is absolutely terrible. The worst thing about this club is the terrible security. My friend was getting harassed and got threatened by a guy at the bar, and I went to tell security, and he told me that there wasn't anything he could do about the guy. And the security guard made up a lie that my friend was dancing with the guy who was harassing her but she wasn't! She was dancing with our group and he got behind her and she immediately stopped dancing to come toward me as I was at the bar, and he followed her. And that's when he harassed her for her number and when she said no he threatened her. The security guard was Caucasian, heavy set and I believe he had a beard but I can't remember. Seeing the reviews of this place and what we experienced, I would not recommend this place to any woman. The security here DO NOT care about your safety.

I visited this past weekend for a hosted brunch and it was a great experience overall. The mimosas were made perfectly I just wish the brunch menu offered more (but this could have been because it was a hosted brunch). Our waitress was great too! Although it was busy she kept checking on us throughout our time being there.

I live so far but I only make the trip to Ixtapa for their BIG social TUESDAY nights hosted by Justin the ambiance is fun and I love their mix of salsa, bachata, merengu and Cumbia they have this event on Tuesdays the big Tuesday social held once a month and it's a lot of fun they also host special performances

I've been here for the club in a Saturday and it's ok. Just came for a brunch they host on weekends and someone stole my friends cards in the restroom and they said they couldn't do anything. They didn't evn Try to help. The manager that helped me was Paulo. He said he was the main manager. He helped us with nothing. They took her cards and all they did was we can't do much. No help at all. All they said was they can take our information. You guys need to get it together and be better company.

I'm surprised this spot has such a low rating! I've been here a few times for food and for a night of dancing. I ordered the empanadas and I really enjoyed them, the flavor and sauce topping was tasty. Next time I would order them again. The night life here is fun, although there is a cover charge. So it might be best to end your night here in case you want to hop around to bars or other nightlife experiences in downtown.

We had a horrible experience with the manager on duty tonight. Made us feel very unwelcome, so we just left to another location down the street. Glad we did.

Disappointed. An hour and a half at bottomless and service was so understaffed our party didn't even catch a buzz. Go anywhere else for mimosas.

The bottomless was lacking. If you have a big party it'll be a struggle to catch a buzz. Other places they bring you bottles to serve yourself but here we had to keep bugging the waitress. Understaffed. Skip this place.

If you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy a night out with friends, avoid this spot at all costs. We had one of the most uncomfortable and unprofessional experiences I've ever had at a club/lounge. From the moment we arrived, we were a calm, respectful group simply enjoying our time. However, things quickly took a turn when the owner, Jack, approached us. He stood uncomfortably close, less than three feet away, for a good five minutes, just staring at us without saying a word. It was unsettling, and when we politely let him know that he was making us feel uncomfortable, instead of addressing it like a professional, he escalated the situation. Not even two minutes later, he instructed one of the security guards to escort one of us out for absolutely no reason while saying the rest could stay. The implication was clear, they wanted to split up our group and intimidate us. We all chose to leave immediately because we refused to let our friend be singled out. This place lacks basic hospitality, respect, and professionalism. The owner's behavior was creepy, invasive, and entirely uncalled for. If you value a safe, welcoming environment when you're out with friends, this is not the place. There are plenty of other venues in the area where you'll be treated with decency--don't waste your time or money here.

I celebrated my daughters birthday , I had read all of the negative comments and I was hesitant to go to this restaurant, but I have to tell you that it was simply amazing . The food , waiters and the mariachi simply delicious and amazing, the waiters where so attentive , the food was warm and delicious, great portions , I will go again , we had such a great time . the only recommendation I could make would be to add a desert at the end of the meal Thank you once again Raquel Ponce

March 2023 - Friday night, St. Patrick's Day around 1030pm. $10 cover charge. Ambiance - It was very warm in there. Was on the outskirts of the dance floor and could barely dance but still felt very warm. The women's restroom was a mess, a super long line, had 3 stalls. 2 out of 3 toilets were overflowing and were not flushing. The music was so so. Parking - Parked in a structure.

I went to this place Ixtapa and they charge me 57 dollars of tip ! jest to bring the vodka butter to the table!! and the never come back to ask if everything is okay!!! don't go there!!! 2/14/25

The place is nice to hang out or celebrate a birthday with friends and family. They offer bottle service and have different prices according to your budget.

I have lived in oldtown pasadena for 10 years and i've never liked the vibe of this bar just from seeing it from across the street. There is always police presence right in front because there are ALWAYS fights breaking out! The bouncers cant keep people contained and it spews into the rest of pleasant OldTown Pasadena. Now to why I am really writing this review, on Saturday the 8th, 2025 my Iphone was stolen out of my back pocket while i was talking with my friends inside. When I confronted the bouncers and bartenders to ask if anyone had returned my phone they said that it was not their problem and to go speak to the police outside. After I had went outside to speak to the police (they also told me they couldn't do anything because they were only there to " stop any brawls from moving into the public") my friends phone was ALSO stolen OUT OF HER HAND while she was calling my phone to try and find it. When i brought this up to the bouncers they said they saw someone run out of the doors minutes before i walked up to him. So I want to know! What are the bouncers really there for if not to do their job!? DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! unless you want a shitty experience!

Celebrated my wife's birthday with family and friends. Our waiter took care of our every need. Drinks were on point. The music and dancing was enjoyable and entertaining. Would recommend this bar to other party goers!

The owner is really rude and weird!!! He stared my friend group (all girls) down and then kicked them out when they told him his looks felt creepy. He also cussed my friend out and called her a b****. What an unprofessional owner !!! Jack provided awful service !!!!

Where do I start. I was really looking forward to their Sunday night jazz dinner. Checked in at 5:45, was seated in the reserve outdoor patio. The band had already set up. Everything was going well. Ordered the sangria and margarita drink that came with the dinner special. I got the Cesar salad and it was ehhh dry and old lettuce. My boyfriend got the minestrone soup which was plain as eating from a can. Dinner came like 35 min. After o got the chicken marsala and my boyfriend got the iron steak dish. Tell me why the steak was like 5 pieces of beef chunks not even a whole steak. And my dish wow pasta was less tasteless and over cooked. My chicken was like a small ass chicken leg. When the bill came they charged for my white Sangria $8 one coke $3.50, and crime brûlée $9 tell me why that ish was $40 this place automatically puts a 18% tip on your bill already,and tax. The waiter service also took forever. I'm sorry but 18% for what we plain food. The jazz band didn't even play jazz. More like pop music. I requested careless whisper for fun. They laughed and played no doubt. not amused

I came on a friday night with my friend for some much needed girl time. It happened to be mariachi night, which I guess they do every Friday night at 7pm. Cameron was our server and not only is he handsome but very attentive. We ordered the Brussel sprouts which were 10/10 I'd order them again and again! We also had a watermelon martini and two Mexican candy drinks which he recommended and they were both to die for. Since then, I've come back a second time for mariachi night with more friends. I think this place is underrated, because the food is BOMB!

If I could give 0 stars I would. The service was BAD! Drinks were not good. The one thing I liked were the shots. We waited for drinks for a long time and our food wasn't correct. We were a big groups 12+ and I hate that the gratuity is included already. We had to go get our drinks from the. At because it was taking the Waitres too long to come by our table. Then we were told we couldn't buy it off the bar. Well if it's taking to long at the table excuse me while i get my own drink. I hate bad customer service. If you don't like your job change it to something you like. I'm a paying customer and I as well as the rest of my group deserved better service. I deduced to give it a chance even after the bad reviews. I switched my rating because I found an area on the second floor. The bar was easy access, the bartender was amazing! And made up for the lack of service of the first floor.

Exceptional service for the dinner portion, mariachi portion was excellent and would only recommend it based on the dinner and show portion, the after party Noooooo regardless of however money you spend, not worth the lack of disrespect for the after party, we clearly spent over $700 tonight just for a little fun and we're approached so rudely for occupying a table clearly set for us part of 7....... Not happy these bouncers are completely insane if they think people should drop another $500 just for bottle service... crazy, how they try to take advantage of people ... no thank you. Stay away not worth the $20 a drink people spend per drink anyway... learn to appreciate the commoner for a change and maybe a your club will succeed.

Richard is the best bartender! His drinks are delicious and has such good energy! We were just hanging out having a few drinks and Richard was very social and polite . The night was busy but I know Richard would try to help as many people as he could with a good attitude ! Drunk people are not fun. Lol I hope we were ! Thank you Again!

I was waiting for a very long time for attendance while this loser is glued to his phone. Asked him for two margaritas and he hands me water and gets back to his phone while many people were waiting for his service. If you ain't a bartender then you need to fuck off and let people work

This place is awesome! My High School sweetheart and I went there on our anniversary and had a great time. The drinks were affordable and of exceptional quality, while the staff was attentive and professional. Can't wait to take my beautiful lady there for another great time!

This is a hotspot for good food, live band entertainment inside (indoors and outdoors dining, excellent bar layout, spacious table arrangements, friendly service from bar manager Angel. Watched sporting events on the many TVs thoroughly the restaurant. The menu selection is wide ranging and the food was very good. Overall A+ experience.

Purchased tickets for Valentine's Day weekend for the mariachi dinner. First off, I wasn't aware that we were sitting on plastic folding chairs. The most uncomfortable thing ever. My back was also to the stage so I had to try and turn around to see the show. Food was pretty decent and so were the drinks. Our server was absolutely terrible. Had to ask several times for things. My drink was empty for awhile. He didn't even bring my tortillas with my dinner. The other server for the other tables actually ended up helping us out several times. The show was amazing!! They did such a great job. I would come back for them. At the end, they tax you on the tickets that you already purchased... AND add gratuity to the bill including the ticket prices. Absolutely ridiculous. People normally sitting in the dining area and at the bar could see the show so there was no need for tickets at all. I could've saved money.

*Reported to the police* Creepy rapey bouncers, security made full body contact during pat down. Upon entering the premises I get my mask check and DL checked. A bouncer wants to do a pat down. I raise my arms and he *grabs my hips* while pulling me toward him. We're now making full body contact and I can feel his gross obese stomach and chest pressed against my back and rear end. I tell him "not cool man", he doesn't stop. I finally say "f*** this" and go to walk out as he pushes me and laughs. Keep an eye out for the security team, apparently they find mandhandling and borderline sexual assault funny. I'm sure the other staff is fine but this place is garbage if they hire security like this.

The bartender got our order wrong and was very rude when we politely gave her our correct order. She then refused to take any of our order considering we were a party of 13. The owner Eddy ended up kicking us out for her rude customer service. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Had a blast at the Corazon De Mariachi Dinner Show this past Friday. Just to be candid, the dance floor is converted into a dining area using folding chairs with normal dining tables. The service was great with someone asking how we were all the time. The musical performance was 1 hour and Erick the lead singer was all over the restaurant singing to various customers, especially those who were celebrating birthdays and such. The food was delicious and most of you can check that I have reviewed hundreds of Mexican restaurants to know the difference between Gringo slop and decent dishes. After the show, which ended close to 9:30, Erick stopped at every table and chatted with people. It was a nice touch of personal service. We used a Groupon which cost $28 each and that covered the three course meal and the show. In addition, there were plenty of chips and salsa all during the event, At the end of the meal and performance, we were presented with a bill which accurately reflected the Tip and Tax that were in plain sight when purchasing the Groupon (9% sales tax and 18% gratuity are not included in the ticket price.) Apparently, from the childish reviews I read, some people don't take the time to read the conditions. Also, there were reviews that mentioned paper plates and plastic utensils. Neither of those comments are true. We had drinks that we got directly from the bar. Many tables around us were ordering dozens of Tequila shots from the bar along with after dinner drinks. Their bills would show the tax and gratuity on a huge bar tab, but most won't be sober enough to notice. We left around 10 pm when the "dance crowd" was just entering. All the bar and table service personnel were working hard and very courteous to us and others. As a bonus, we were able to watch the Dodgers (at home) beat the Phillies on one of the big screens.

Terrible experience tonight at this place on 9/9/22 @11pm... tried getting in with my friend and he happened to mention that he was local and patronizes the business on a weekly basis. The doorman took offense to this statement and literally refused entry. I stepped in and tried to reason with him and he explained that the statement "I am local" was offensive to him and his partner and that he had the right to refuse service. I fully agreed with him on the part of the right to refuse entry and wanted to leave but my buddy wanted to check with the manager and explain the situation. Long story short we left peacefully but promised to follow up. I felt discriminated against by the doorman and I hope the management looks into this complaint.

I stopped by for happy hour before heading to the Rolling Stones concert at the Rose Bowl. I requested the happy hour menu but what they offered wasn't good and it wasn't a bargain. I stayed and ordered a Michelada, Margarita, tequila shot, and the three potato taco plate. The drinks were okay and the food wasn't that good but I ate it because I was hungry. You can get better food at the nearby King Taco. My waiter wasn't friendly at first but we got to talking about concerts and he was cool at the end.

I was not impressed with this restaurant. It is confusing because it sounds like a Mexican restaurant including mariachis, but they don't offer Mexican food. The dance floor was too small. Not returning.

Sucks. This place is the worst establishment (lack of establishment) in all of Pasadena. I tried to eat here on three separate occasions but couldn't or should I say that they wouldn't serve me; and this was pre-covid.

We came on Saturday night to watch a Mariachi Band; Mariachi Los Toros, also know as dinner and show. Dinner package by Gold Star which included 3 course meal for $28; appetizer, meal and dessert. My appetizer was min taquitos, main course Fajitas (a little greasy) and dessert was Flan. Good selection on alcohol, we got pitchers of margaritas. The entertainment was fantastic! Definitely would come back and watch. Got more of a up close view. The atmosphere was nice, dark but not too dark. The service was really good. The young gentlemen was super attentive. Only bad thing are the folding chairs, but I read previous reviews and prepared myself. They do have tables with actually sturdy seats, you must request it but the view is a distance from where the Mariachi band plays. You have to pay for parking, and no valet parking. Parked next door which was pretty pricey to park across the street in front of the place and not the side for cheaper parking.

I've been coming to Sorriso, ixtapa, and Barcelona for 10 years now. I am impressed by Jack's great food at all 3 places and by the interiors/patio. It is one of my favorite places to eat in Old Town Pasadena :)

4.2.22 10:15pm its free before 10;30pm so they have us wait outside until 10:30 to charge us? really? its empty. why not let anyone in? its not even 10:30 bouncers/security that night really? so thats why 15 people walked outside the line after you guys said there is a fee. AFTER YOU HAD EVERYONE WAIT OUTSIDE UNTIL THEN. too bad this place isnt closed or shut down.

Came during one of their Mariachi shows on the weekend, after wanting to try this place out for a while. I've seen long lines at this place before and was always curious about the previous hype. Unfortunately was disappointed overall after coming. The inside looks like a bar/cantina with a stage for their different shows that play here. We got a set menu option, which I felt was mediocre especially for the price. We got their "Botanas de la Casa" assortment appetizer which had chips and salsa. For our entrees we got the Pasta with chicken/shrimp and the Stuffed Salmon-- both were just average. The desserts were both average as well- the Kahlua Flan and Bread Pudding. I suppose part of the review should include the entertainment, which I thought was quite good. However, given the quality of food, I would have almost preferred BYOS (bring your own snacks) to watch the show, instead of eating here again.

The presentation was great. Chicken Piccata was good, needed a bit of lemon juice on it. For me it was a bit salty. The tomato soup was good,. We also ordered pizza. They need to really work on the sauce. The sauce had a sweet taste. While sitting, we saw a few dishes go by and they all looked good. The chef is talented, but he needs a refreshing course on pizza. There was a ton of cheese on it. The service was the best part of the meal.
