Step into Izakaya Nana, where the cozy, Tokyo-style ambiance meets a playful menu of yakitori, sushi dragon balls, and inventive drinks until 2 a.m. nightly.
"Sake flights. Beer towers. A huge, golden tree, and little orbs of rice and raw fish called “sushi dragon balls.” Izakaya Nana has a lot going on, which makes it the perfect place for a fun group dinner. The restaurant looks like an indoor village, with classic tatami seating and tables tucked into their own private nooks. It’s pretty much a theme park with better food. The vast and chaotic Japanese menu features ramen, truffle fries, and standouts like some juicy karaage and a yakitori sampler that arrives on a long wooden platter." - carina finn koeppicus, kenny yang, neha talreja, bryan kim, molly fitzpatrick
"Izakaya Nana wants to put on a show for you and your friends, with beer towers, sake flights, and strips of salmon hung over an open flame. And it works. The Flushing restaurant looks like an indoor village, complete with a town square and a bar under a massive golden tree. You’re mostly here for the ambiance, but once you get seated in your own semi-private nook, there’s plenty of solid Japanese food to keep you occupied. The dragon balls—sushi formed into golf ball-sized spheres—are a good time, and the lightly battered karaage will disappear in a matter of seconds. So bring a group, get two orders, and add a yakitori sampler. If you spend $120, you can spin the wheel up front for a chance to win prizes.
