"The atmosphere is truly international: top-notch ingredients go into a fusion cuisine of Japanese and other Asian influences. Perhaps you will be tempted by the Wagyu beef gyoza with a spicy ponzu sauce, or the izumi rolls? The lively atmosphere and chic, modern look of this restaurant on the seventh floor of the Four Seasons Hotel are just as much of a draw as the food. Don't miss the rooftop terrace, one floor up, with its breath-taking view over Geneva, the mountains and the lake. Make a reservation without delay!" - Michelin Inspector

Hmm I’m on the fence about sushi in Switzerland but 10/10 service and atmosphere. The food was tasty too but the slices of fish were SO thin. The rooftop and DJ is enough reason to check this place out. I loved everything we ordered but I was disappointed that the coriander rice with shrimp came with chopped up shrimp bits and the sashimi dishes were more sauce than fish. It’s very overpriced, but we knew we were getting ourselves into that.

For the price it was a little disappointing. I used to live in Tokyo for reference, the miso soup was excellent but the rice was very dry and poor quality. The fish was fresh ( as one would expect). However if you charge 16.00 for a cappuccino, then please make sure the cup isn’t chipped, and a small chocolate or other sweet accompaniment would have been a nice touch. I was shocked that we spent 80.00 on iced tea ( 20.00 per glass). It tasted good to its credit. Service was average . The view was spectacular.

Very nice place with a view on Geneva and the sunset. Service is great. I definitely recommend to try dishes like the beef fillet, the fried eggplants as well as the fried shrimps and the cheese cake.

A Japanese fusion restaurant with Chilean influence on top roof of Four Seasons hotel in Geneva. Using fresh and premium quality ingredients. The foods was exceptional. Excellent service. Great view. Will definitely come back again.

Not really Japanese food, more fusion. Usually such type of restaurants are expensive, but food is not very special. Food is served very fast, which is good. Restaurant is always full. Better to make reservation. Atmosphere is amazing, roof top, full moon view, amazing music, very kind staff. But food is so so, portions are quite small, not really something that I expected while ordering. It is nice and romantic experience but no more than for one time. More for nice memories.

Visited Izumi on a weekend while visiting Geneva. The dining experience was just that, an experience. The restaurant staff will treat you like royalty. The food was excellent, freshly prepared, beautiful presentation. There’s pages of wine offerings by the bottle. You will spend 100CHF per person if you get a glass of wine or a drink. The terrace was closed due to weather but it’s a gorgeous view (they let us go up after dinner to enjoy). You will definitely need to call ahead and make a reservation. They have two dinner services; one at 7pm and another at 9pm. They also have a lunch option too.

By being in the best location and in best hotel of the town doesn’t warn points if while experience is not good. It is more of a tourist trap and nothing else. This hype around this restaurant is self created by management. I don’t think people are going twice to this place after going once. I had better food and better experience’s than this one. Food was average and service was very average. To cut it short their was nothing great about it so don’t want to waste any more time on review. Complete waste of money

Izumi Geneva offers a delightful culinary experience. The beef tataki stood out as excellent, bursting with flavor. The lobster tacos and soft shell crab sushi added a unique twist to traditional dishes. The innovative new style sushi with Sisho leaves and fish tartare showcased their creativity. For main courses, the sole muniere style was cooked to perfection, and both the lamb chops and Swiss beef were delectable. The well-curated house wine selection perfectly complemented the meal. A must-visit for a diverse and satisfying dining adventure. Notably, the service at Izumi Geneva was top-notch. The attentive waitstaff took the time to explain each dish with great detail, enhancing the dining experience. Their friendly and informative approach added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal.

Yelp
It's hard to book a table in this Four Seasons signature establishment. I was at another hotel and they found a booking for me. Izumi is very expensive, as is the rest of Switzerland especially big cities like Geneva. Is it worth the money? IMO, no. If you are expecting traditional Japanese, you'll be disappointed. It's one of those fusion-type restaurants. Lots of rolls. Fusion interpretation. Ambiance is ok. For a posh restaurant, they didn't get the lighting right. It's not soft and romantic, but a bit harsh. Tables are close to each other. People will overhear your conversation. Groups will be loud. It feels more like a bar. There is a rooftop terrace with stunning views, but it was winter when I was there. So I ate inside. Service is ok. Staff is friendly enough. Overall an ok restaurant. Overrated and overpriced.

Yelp
Geneva doesn't have many great places but Izumi was probably the best meal I had while there. The menu reminded me very much of Nobu since the cuisine was Peruvian/Japanese. The yellowtail hamachi was perfection and their drinks were almost orgasmic. We had the seafood fried rice and a few rolls and all were exquisite. Should I face the misfortune of having to go back to Geneva, I'll make reservations to go here again but will definitely bring extra money because this place will break your bank :-(

Yelp
This place does not disappoint. Everything thing from start to finish is done well. I love how you arrive by elevator to a top floor to a small intimate reception. The dining room is small so you feel like all the service is made just for you. The food was absolutely gorgeously presented in a modern Asian flair. The proportions were surprisingly on the large side but it was very appropriate. The maki rolls were very well done the dragon roll was full of flavor and you could taste every element. The lack of miso was amazing and my favorite main dish. I cannot describe the wonderful flavors I tasted. The fish was perfectly cooked. The wine and sake list was very good and at many price points. The service was nothing short of excellent. I truly enjoyed my dining experience.

Yelp
The restaurant is on the 7th floor of the Four Seasons Hotel. It's a bit tricky to reach... you have to go through a few turns and sets of stairs. I went with a couple of friends on a chilly day and sat outside on the roof. They have heater poles and blankets but we didn't need them. The view was not bad, a bit ducked so you can't see the lake clearly. They have a bar on that open seating. The sushi bar is right there too. It's a small seating area even when you consider the inside small hall. The appetizers were great. We ordered dragon roll and wagyu rolls for appetizers. They were both great. We also ordered a glazed eggplant appetizer but it wasn't as good. I had to save it and mix it with the main dish as I love eggplant. They have a fairly long menu, with lots of options. We settled on the shrimp teriyaki, the sea bass, and the chicken teriyaki (names not exact.). All were very good, given the ratings: 9.75/10, 9.5/10 and 9/10, respectively. The reasons for the small deductions were ... a bit too spicy... some spicy garnish on top... and the skin on the chicken... all in order. They also have a business-lunch, two-course menu with an option of adding a third dessert. The service is excellent. We had to rely completely on the server's experience when it came to orders. The atmosphere is great, really, but it's not as kids- friendly as one might wish. All in all, it's a 5-star restaurant.

Yelp
Honestly this place is in the four seasons but it is overpriced and not that good. The service is not good ether. No one cares about you and it is not 5star service. The fish is not good and not worth the price. Very over salted. I love the Four Seasons and they usually go the extra mile every time. Not at this place.

Yelp
This sushi restaurant is a roof top over looking the beautiful River. There are heaters on the ceiling to keep you warm at night. Dress is pretty casual. Food pretty good but I didn't give it a 5 star because the were unable to do naruto rolls (sushi wrappped in thin slices of cucumber.)

Yelp
A great, expensive, but not to Geneva standards, Japanese fusion restaurant. We had a couple of appetizers and a desert. The highlights of the meal were the tuna tartar with crispy rice and the cheesecake with yuzu sorbet. Really, really, good!!

Sally-Ann T.

Yelp
We had lunch on the terrace on a beautiful sunny day. I booked a week prior and we had a nice table with a great view. We were celebrating a birthday so we took the degustation menu. Absolutely everything was delicious, service was almost perfect. I would definitely return.

Yelp
This r saturant has one of the most beautiful views you can get at a restaurant in Geneva. It overlooks the river and partially the Geneva lake. At night is is stunning with the light reflecting on the surface of the water. Food is excellent, very delicate, tasty and well presented. Seevice is fast and attentive to details. One heads up though, if you want to go there book in advance as it tends to be full most of the time.

Yelp
The most attentive staff and amazing food !!!! Had the most memorable cheesecake ... Can't wait to stay at the Four Seasons in Geneva again : )

Yelp
Went on a rainy day when rooftop was closed- beautiful/intimate dining room, incredible service, wonderful experience all around. Should be $$$$ though (we went because yelp said $$). The shrimp tempura bombs & tuna tartar on fried rice patties were staples at many tables around us.
