Is the Food Any Good at Wonder, the Fastest-Growing Ghost Kitchens in New York? - Eater NY

"The paella was a generous serving with plenty of seafood, but the squid rings were brown and didn’t taste fresh, and there was a large quantity of liquid at the bottom. Grade: B" - Robert Sietsema

"The renowned Spanish chef José Andres has landed in Mexico City making himself at home with yet another culture's ingredients. At the recently revamped W Hotel, he's created a new sort of fusion cuisine incorporating traditional Mexican ingredients like avocado and zucchini flower and giving them the Spanish tapas treatment. In fact, it's the tacos and the tortas on the menu that are the most popular here, especially when they're accompanied by one of the restaurant's signature Gin & Tonics served in a large globe glass. With its terrace overlooking the neighborhood's quiet streets, and a long traditional tapas bar, this is the perfect place for long business lunches and after work drinks. "

Great tasting menu, reasonably priced. Atmosphere was very nice. They have indoor and outdoor patio seating. The service was excellent, I don't think there was a dress code but it looked very casual. We barely finished our food. I don't believe there is a. Vegetarian option as most of the dishes on the tasting menu were not. We went for lunch with no reservations.

Fantastic option for inventive, super flavorful tapas and a great wine list. We were very pleased and impressed with the quality and preparation of food, and with the attentive service.

Interesting Spanish food with a little Mexican twist. Portions are quite small though for rather high prices. They have tasting menu but you can't order it if you are alone. 2 persons is the minimum.

The breakfast buffet is truly delicious, salmon, bread, fruits and what you normally find for breakfast. A bit expensive but considering the location it's worth it. Great service!

Great tapas experience. Almost all dishes were great but the olives and the chistorras were the highlights.

The paella was very salty and overpriced. There is much better food in Mexico City

The menu had a lot of potential but the food failed to hit the mark for me. The mixed croquettes (pork, beef and chicken) were over salted. On the contrary the fish soup was under salted and by the time the main course arrived (garlic prawns/shrimp) I was not in the mood although this dish was perfect. The service was okay and the cocktails were too sweet. I looked forward to this meal but left feeling disappointed. The restaurant itself is very beautiful.

I came to J by José Andrés since it was the only brunch that I apparently had missed in the City. I got more than excited when the hostess let me know that the specialty was paella. Mimosas + paella, what could go wrong? Nothing did, actually. I just think service could have been a little more efficient. There were not that many booked tables and the waiter disappeared for considerable periods. Paellas were wonderful. Prosciutto and cheeses were great quality as well, but MY GOD the desserts. Hands down I do think JbyJA takes the crown on brunch desserts. Everything was wonderful. Bottomless brunch is around 1300MXN per person, and I do think it's worth it if you're planning on drinking and stuffing yourself til paella collapse.
