Jack & Nellie’s - Review - Forest Hills - New York - The Infatuation

"Jack & Nellie’s is a casual American restaurant right off the main stretch of Austin Street in Forest Hills, and it’s a good place to stop for brunch. The hash browns are so good that they could turn someone into a morning person, and it doesn't hurt that the brunch cocktails are all under $10. The space is big enough that you could easily come here with a group, and (just in case the hash brown magic doesn't work on your friends) this is also a nice place for drinks and snacks during Happy Hour, which runs from 4-8pm every day." - Hannah Albertine

This place was awesome. There's a bit of wait time but you can tell why once you experience the food. Came here before going to the movies nearby. Parking here is hard. We had the salami and chicken pattie board, delicious. It came with some amazing strawberry jelly ( I don't like strawberry) the bread was soft and warm. The olives and grapes tasted fresh. I had the steak sandwich.. my Lord... It was tender and delicious! My friend had the vegetable risotto with added braised beef.. it was awesome! The added braised beef was delicious, a meal on its own and they loaded it. They have a nice selection of beer. Definitely need to come back for their brunch menu!

Jack and Nellie's have a choice of affordable brunch offerings! Our party shared a large french press coffee and a side of their candied slab bacon which was unfortunately burnt on one side. Burnt caramelized anything doesn't taste great. I had ordered the corned beef hash which was paired with some toast and poached eggs. While my wife ordered the steak and eggs. The steak lacked a little salt for me, and the same goes for the fries that came with it. Overall, the service was good. They came pretty quickly, but we were also seated at the bar, which was convenient.

Google
The wait can be long sometimes, but brunch is excellent here so the wait is worth it in my opinion. The Eggs Benedict and the French Toast are great! If you are driving here, beware, as street parking is limited in Forest Hills.

My wife and I went for brunch. We find a Very nice atmosphere, great drinks, food was okay, and service was a little to slow, but I think it was because we got at the end of the brunch, I definitely will give another try for dinner

Google
Had a wonderful, affordable brunch here! Definitely try the French Toast — it was warm and tasty with each bite. Also grabbed a mimosa and a hearty side of hash browns. We were a group of 4 at 2 pm on a Saturday; there was only room at the bar, which was fine by us, but make sure to have a scarf in the colder weather for when the door opens and closes. Would love to go back!

Google
Great first experience- small cozy ambiance, we were seated right away at the last table available. Staff was attentive, my water (which naturally came without ice) was consistently filled. Brunch lasts till 3pm which we didn't realize until we were seated (I was going to get their Mac and cheese which was only a dinner item)- brunch menu had simple breakfast items but done very well. The corned beef hash with poached eggs was tender and hearty. Prices were ok for breakfast items but comparable to the prices you'll find in NY. Will be back for dinner!

Google
Brunch is for Benedict and Burgers! The eggs Benedict was spectacular, perfectly cooked and coated with hollandaise. The burger was also cooked to my exact order but I think every burger should be covered in cheese and some aioli or sauce. Cheese makes everything better and it would’ve made the burger over the top with just a little warm yummy blanket of cheese or even a smear of mayo. As for the restaurant, I couldn’t quite figure out the blocks of wood on the walls but I assumed they were old train sign or part molds? Looked very interesting.

Google
The place was a letdown. I was mostly disappointed by the sausages which were completely burnt. After I complained about it, they removed the sausages, but didn’t provide replacements until I inquired about their status when we were finished. The replacements were burnt as well, and to be honest they were burnt on the outside and mushy on the inside. We also found the portion size of the homefries a bit uneven, the cheddar omelette had 1/2 the amount of homefries compared to the 2 eggs and sausage. And mine were of course burnt while hers were fine. Service was okay, but we had to ask for the butter. Note: the toast is only one piece of bread folded over. They couldn’t provide 2 slices of bread? 😭

Yelp
White Radish American Kitchen has now branched out with the addition of Daikon Japanese/Asian Kitchen next door. And the price has also gone up. (By the way, daikon is the Japanese/korean word for "white radish.") White Radish's own menu remain the same, and food just as good as before, but more expensive. You can now also order from the menu next door for sushi or stir fry. It's not bad, for non-Asians cooking Asian food.

Yelp
Meh. Food is average. They added an attached sushi restaurant and it looks ok but after having eaten at white radish I wouldn't bother. Not impressed at all. Service is good and servers are very nice. But, the food was sub par. Pickles on the pork belly sliders have zero taste. The pork belly was cold and fatty. The fries were good though. The Caesar salad was average. Not worth $14. The scallops and shrimp app was ok. Not exciting. The bread pudding was good but again, not worth writing home about. The decaf coffee was very good and very hot!!! Would not return. And it's a weird combo of restaurants.

Yelp
The Japanese and American bistro 'theme' is confusing, along with the menu and the ambiance. I beg you, switch the sushi bar with a wine bar, dim the lights, hire an expert to buy interesting wine and make Spanish tapas available past 11 pm.

Yelp
Interestingly enough, I was surprised to find that this restaurant is also preparing and serving the Japanese food for the restaurant Daikon, which is next door but accessible from White Radish. My friend took full advantage of this fact and had miso soup and two sushi rolls. The miso soup was very salty, like more than I've tasted before in miso soup; but the depth of flavor was rich and robust. Considering it was 21 degrees outside, I was happy to taste it and drink the warmth. I chose the Halibut with ratatouille and a basil cream sauce for dinner and it was truly spectacular. The fish was cooked to perfection and the juxtaposition of flavors was really unexpected but awesome. The service was friendly and attentive, and I look forward to my next visit.

Yelp
I really wanted to give this restaurant 5 stars. There were definitely great things! The duck was fabulous and so were the oxtails croquettes. My fiancé and I went on Valentine's Day so naturally there was quite a long wait for food, don't know if this is the case on a normal night. The reason I'm leaving two stars is because the steak was such a let down. It was overcooked but most importantly it tasted super grainy and like it had just been pulled out of the back of the freezer and placed right on the stove. I would've said something last night but I know they were slammed and since we were absolutely starving after the hour wait, he just scarfed it down. That's my only critique! I'd like to try this place again on a random Tuesday because honestly it is a great spot! They just need to get their steak game in point.

Yelp
A fantastic brunch spot! The eggs were cooked to perfection, and the steak was juicy and flavorful. The restaurant's decor, featuring unique art pieces and paintings, beautifully highlights its Japanese influence. Our waiter was attentive and ensured all our needs were met. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Came here because of the hype listed as one of the best brunch spots in the area. Honestly, was a bit disappointed. The service was great. The servers were super nice, pretty attentive, and got us in quickly since we had a reservation. Didn't expect a reservation to be necessary but they were turning people away (Sunday around noon). The menu for brunch was a bit on the limited side, $27 for each item with up charges for certain things. This price is somewhat unwarranted. For example, the vegetable omelette with no meat is included in this $27 price. As was the eggs benedict with no meat, a chicken sandwich, and chicken and waffles, all things I would expect to be cheaper. Cocktails were an additional $15 each, which is pretty pricey for the ambience of the spot. We went with the chicken & waffles and the steak tips sandwich. The former was fine. It came with blueberries and strawberries, an unexpected addition. I appreciated that the chicken was drumsticks instead of traditional breasts, and they were huge drumsticks. However, the breading itself was a little lackluster and fairly dense. The latter, the steak tips, was a bit better. It's served on focaccia with a nice chipotle mayo sauce and it comes with a good amount of meat. The fries it came with were standard, nothing to rave about. In retrospect, probably would have rather given this place a chance for dinner and going somewhere else for brunch. It's attached to a cute sushi restaurant I would consider trying.

Yelp
I'm only giving this place four stars and not five due to the service. It could've been much better, but the servers were sometimes nowhere to be seen or have forgotten about us. We had to ask them multiple times for different things, and shouldn't water be refilled without asking for it?! Oh yes, and there's no need to make reservations here. There's plenty of seating. Regarding the food, we had the burrata, which was pretty good. I had the pesto shrimp dish with noodles. I finished it all as I liked the entire dish. The salted caramel bundino was different. I had to look it up as I didn't know what it was, and the waiter was nowhere to be seen to ask. Once the waiter came back, he wanted our order asap. Anyway, I won't be returning bc the staff has to be better. The food was alright, so in that aspect, there is no need to change, but maybe the people working there need a deep dive on how to be a customer focused.

Yelp
I rarely do brunch these days but the time and place suited all our Sunday schedules for a birthday meal. White radish came on good recommendation so we were excited to give it a try. The waiters were what you would expect for a weekend brunch service, lots of service not a lot of attention. All in all, our needs were mostly met. The way the brunch works is a pre fix menu with about 8 options, additionally you get an included beverage of tea or coffee. Every entree is a whopping $26.99. Out party tried the Burger with Fries, Eggs Benedict, steak focaccia sandwich and I had the chicken and waffles. To my surprise the waffles had no crisp and were a little soggy. Another surprise, the chicken drumstick was not fried and the meat was weird and gamey. Overall the dish was a flop lacking in the crisp you would expect when you have chicken and waffles. The burger and fries were probably the best execution. The focaccia was soggy and doughy. The steak was overly dressed with cheap cheese. The steak itself was very nice and cooked exactly as ordered. Honestly, at $26.99 EVERY dish should have come with a salad at least.

Yelp
I absolutely adore this little brunch spot in the heart of Forest Hills. The atmosphere is on point with upbeat but not overbearing house music, rustic yet classy decor, and tables that are reasonably spaced (I'v been to too many cafes where I feel like I am elbow to elbow with other patrons). They also have a full bar which is amazing. The food came out quickly, and the staff checked on us a few times during our meal. I got the smoked salmon avocado toast with a mimosa (just a couple of dollars more for the upgrade from regular OJ!) and it came with SO much smoked salmon. I could not believe it was only one portion, I ended up sharing some with my partner and still had more than enough left for myself. Quality was also top notch, the salmon was fresh and not mushy. I think the price is a bit higher than what I would expect from the area, but it was still worth it. I would love to come back to try some other brunch fares.

Yelp
Came here for brunch with friends last weekend and was pleasantly pleased. We made reservations for noon since during the summer this place can get packed during peak brunch hours. Since it was the day of Christmas Eve it was pretty empty with only about 3-4 tables until around 1pm when it started to fill up. When we arrived we were seated right away, presented menus and ordered coffee to start while we perused the menu. Brunch is a prix-fixe menu $26.95 for each item with added $ for certain options. I didn't realize it came with a drink (coffee/tea it seems from some other reviews?) so I didn't order one, though the staff did announce $2 for the first mimosa with brunch...so I wasn't going to say no to that! Food came out quickly within 10-15 minutes of ordering, and we were quite surprised by the very ample serving sizes. My friend had to use a fork and knife for her burger bc it was too large to hold lol. The steak panini was likewise very sizable and both came with a solid amount of good fries (*and by good I mean crispy on the outside of the fries). The steak and eggs were perfectly cooked, with a fresh tasty salad, though the potato hash was a bit soft and bland imho. My chicken and waffles were delicious--the fried batter could have used slightly more seasoning but the inside of the chicken was moist and tender. Two drumsticks was generous. The waffle was soft and fluffy with fresh berries. I would order this again. Overall impressions were it's a bit on the higher priced side for brunch, though a comparable value for the portions and I'm adding on an extra star since service was friendly and helpful, (oh yea and that $2 mimosa).

Yelp
Eggs Benedict with crab cake and a Bloody Mary. This is what brunch should be! Staff is on point. I was seated immediately. Ambience and atmosphere is always nice.

Yelp
Small place with big flavors! They offer brunch on Sundays until 3:00 pm and their dinner menu is nothing short of fresh. The radish salad was crisp and the steak was cooked perfectly. They had speciality cocktails which were one of a kind! Our waiter was off the charts nice and the chef was accommodating to our requests. Parking is of course tragic but worth the walk once you find a spot!

Yelp
Delicious food, my friend had the duck and I had seafood ravioli. Staff was nice, love ambiance would go again.

Yelp
I had Brunch with a friend and we enjoyed our meals. The food was tasty, great service and really nice looking restaurant. I've been there for dinner in the past and wanted to try their brunch. It is a bit pricey with no cocktail but they do provide coffee or tea with your meal. They could benefit from a brunch special not necessarily bottomless but offer a mimosa for those who may want a drink with their meal.

Yelp
This is my new favorite spot for long lunches and low key date nights. Their selection of comfort eats, full bar, and super friendly service guarantees hours of conversation and togetherness. The White Radish burger is my go to with its blend of 50% ground bacon and onion relish. You're going to need that napkin after every juicy bite. The steak panini and chicken Milanese sandwiches are also satisfying, but with less drip factor. And if you're not feeling a big old meal, their pork sliders with a side of Mac and cheese are a good choice and very shareable, as they come two to a plate. Even when the place is packed, it's still chill and welcoming.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant. Especially the vegetarian sushi and the wild salmon dinner. Feels good being here alone or with a group of friends.

Yelp
I've always wanted to try this place after it was open. My friends decided to treat me for my birthday so we decided to come here. We came at 5 PM on a Monday. It wasn't very crowded but by the time we left it was full. The place was small but cozy. We started with an appetizer of crab cake. I ordered the white radish burger which was half beef and half applewood smoked bacon. They burger was huge. The beef was juicy and it was incredibly messy to eat. Another friend had the same and one had the vegetable pasta. The vegetable pasta was cooked al dente. It was delicious. The dessert was the only thing that we're meh on. The flavor of key lime was good but the texture was a little off. It was smooth but spongy. It wasn't what I was expecting. Still overall the meal was very good.

Yelp
Such a wonderful night with my family. The new sushi additions were delicious, the waitstaff were incredibly attentive, and I love the understated elegant ambiance.
google avatar

Yelp
I've wanted to come to this restaurant for a long time. Unfortunately it was disappointing for us. The drinks were mostly ice we maybe have a few sips in every drink we ordered. The oxtail croquettes were fried to perfection but that's where the expectations ended the inside were mushy and not flavorful. The New York strip was grainy when cut into it. The char was good on the outside but the texture was off. The Brussels sprouts were soggy and were lacking flavor. The good thing about this meal was the truffle fries. The price was insane for what we got.
google avatar

Maria P.

Yelp
Just ordered a sushi roll from White Radish restaurant and inside one of the roll pieces i found two pieces of glass that thankfully I didn't swallow and spit out in time. When I contacted the restaurant, they basically told me that they don't use glass in the restaurant (which is ridiculous and bs) and told me to ask for a refund through seamless. They also said that's it, and bye bye. This is really shitty service for a repeat customer, we've been ordering and going to them for years and this will be the last time we ever order and go there. The service is shitty for someone finding two pieces of glass in their food and extremely dangerous! Eater beware!
google avatar

Ashley K.

Yelp
Dinner was mediocre. I had the short rib ravioli which was ok and my husband had the Filet Mignon, that's all that came with it. When he placed his order, he was never asked olif he'd like a side so we were under the impression that at least a vegetable would come with it but all he got was a giant plate with the filet on it.
google avatar

Cora Y.

Yelp
What an amazing place to have dinner! We missed happy hour but will try next time. I did go through reviews to pick the best things to try! Oysters were 3$ each and fresh tasting. Must is the burrata and radish..I could have taken the plate home! So fresh and the pesto was soo good. The short rib ravioli was delicious as well. It wasn't the short rib but the sauce that made the dish. Ceviche was very flavorful and I enjoyed the pieces of octopus in there! I would skip the mac and cheese and oxtail croquettes in favor of trying the seafood pasta that everyone raves about. Unfortunately we didn't have enough room! Will come back. It was very busy inside on a Friday evening and opted to sit outside instead for a more quiet date night.

Yelp
Cuisine: 6 Service: 7 Decor: 7 Value: 6 Overall: 6 With Jack and Nelly gone, there isn't really any great wine bar in this stretch of Austin Street in Forest Hills. Though White Radish attempts to replace its predecessor, it fails a bit short of expectations. I have been here a few times and always try to give it another chance. Unfortunately, my recent meal here tells me that it is what it is. Oxtail Croquettes - nothing that special at all Mussels Billy B - saffron sauce was not bad, but mussels were not plump, mostly puny, also fell out of the shells, which is a sign of being overcooked Calamari - once again, edible, but just average Steak Panini - one of the better items, but the bread was not pressed at all White Radish Burger - maybe one of the better items Mixed Seafood Pasta - same saffron sauce as mussels app, cooked al dente, seafood cooked alright Grilled Salmon - meh, really felt quite boring Lobster Roll - two mini rows with terrible bread not suitable for this sandwich, lobster was just ok My philosophy is simple. Any restaurant should give me at least one dish I'm dying to come back for. Otherwise, it's simply not memorable.

Yelp
The food was deliciously flavored and creamy and it hit the spot. I love that they had vegetarian options. Service was good, atmosphere was nice, I would definitely come back because the food was just so tasty.

Yelp
Tasty brunch options to be enjoyed in a quiet side street in Forest Hills (though do mind the train that comes roaring by every few minutes; the first time it happened, it gave me a jolt). They have a specific brunch menu where every dish is $24 and comes with coffee/tea/soda, which at first struck me as kind of steep for the area. I wish they offered their regular menu too, since there were some good raw bar options, but understand completely a smaller kitchen's need for a designated brunch menu. I went with the farmer's omelette, given my hankering for a bunch of different things on a plate. First, the picture doesn't do the size of the omelette justice, it was the length of two fists put together. I suppose you do get your money's worth if you get this dish. Came with some standard mixed greens, toast, and home fries. Of the sides, the potatoes stood out. Toast was sadly stale and tasteless. Omelette was nice and fluffy, a little on the well-done end, but perfect with some hot sauce and ketchup. On the whole, the food was delicious but left my mouth feeling like an oil slick. Our waiter was friendly and came by often to see if we needed anything. I recommend making reservations on the weekends - a line started forming as we were finishing up, though there were still plenty of tables inside.
google avatar

Agta B.

Yelp
Cute little spot for a date night. Wine selection was good but not too varied. Drinks were strong. The food was great. The oxtail croquettes were delicious as were the pesto pasta and the tagliatelle with seafood. The duck 2 ways was great as well but I wish the skin was a little more crispy. Overall, very nice experience.

Yelp
I came here for brunch on Saturday at 2:30pm with my mom. It was pretty empty except for two other tables of two people. Right off I will say I liked the decor. It was simple but yet modern. The staff were all really friendly especially our waiter. We order a hamburger and steak and eggs off of the brunch menu. My steak and eggs were good. The meat was tender and my eggs were soft. I felt like the meat used for the steak was in the burger as well but I'm not sure. It was a decent choice. Now the tres leches is something to write home about. It came with raspberry syrup on the plate along with a cream. It wasn't too sweet or overly wet which I don't like at all. It wasn't on their menu but the waiter suggested that we try it. Overall I would come back to try dinner. The brunch menu is limited compared to their normal menu and there were things I definitely want to try like the calamari and pork belly.

Yelp
A year later, White Radish remains a favorite spot of mine in Forest Hills. We have come countless times for both dinner and brunch and have yet to be disappointed. Food and service are always excellent, and family/friends guests of ours have said the same. Recently my husband and I hosted our baby shower brunch here and were incredibly impressed with how smooth everything went (thank you Emory, Chris and everyone on staff!). All of our guests loved the food and drinks, and the place was setup perfectly for our little party! I could not have picked a better place for our special event and am so grateful for White Radish's hospitality! We are already regulars here and will continue to be :) It felt especially special to host friends from all over (from Staten Island, Manhattan, NJ, and PA!) and be able to proudly share one of our favorite local Forest Hills places with them.

Yacquelin N.

Yelp
Lobster roll had no flavor, please add some old bay or something. Duck is ok. Drinks are ok. Service ok. I wanted to like this place, but its ok at best.
google avatar

Sydney C.

Yelp
Comfortable seating Very relaxed atmosphere Service is quick and friendly Steak panini was pretty good, steak is very tender and well seasoned; the bread is very light and fluffy, not the traditional panini bread; very generous with the steak, with steak overflowing on to the plate Fries were not the greatest Lobster roll, also not on a traditional roll; there is no lettuce supporting the lobster meat on top of the roll; instead there is a quarter slice avocado Lobster meat is good, well seasoned in a mayo based dressing The homemade chips are okay Overall, great service, excellent entrees, sides were not the greatest On a final note, got a beer, the beer could of been chilled a bit more

Yelp
Great food, interesting menu, presentation, and service. Like a piece of Manhattan in Forest Hills.

Yelp
Good service and ambiance. The food was good, could have used a different set of ingredients to bring out and enhance flavor. But definitely would recommend to stop by.

Yelp
Bustling on a weeknight. Food was interesting, the Branzino was my partners favorite dish of the night . Friendly service , clean atmosphere, and comfy bar seating .
google avatar

Yelp
Good food all day long, excellent brunch options and wonderful bartenders (both skill and demeanor.) It is a pleasant space as well. My favorite brunch in the neighborhood and I will never say no to dinner here since I like their branzino a whole lot.

Yelp
This restaurant really sucks. The food was not good at all. We ordered the steak sandwich, chicken and waffles, country omelette, and lox sandwich. This food is reminiscent of dingy diner food. Literally nothing tasted good. If u just want drinks maybe come here but aside from that I would pass for sure on the food. The service was good. The ambiance was poor the ac dripped on my party the whole time we were there.
google avatar

Kimberly M.

Yelp
I have dined here a couple of times. It's a great place to go when they aren't too busy. It's a squeeze into small spaces if they are. The menu is somewhat seasonal, and the service is very good. There is some modern approaches to food here without being too pretentious. Rich and fresh options are offered, and it's a nice place to take a date.

Katherine H.

Yelp
This review is for Daikon, the new sushi offshoot of White Radish. Holy crow - as much as we are inclined to gatekeep - this was FANTASTIC. The sushi was phenomenal. So fresh and such innovative flavors. And huge portions! We were stuffed but couldn't stop eating because it was fantastic. Worth every bite. Going to be one of our new faves in the neighborhood - 5 stars, truly!
google avatar

Craig H.

Yelp
Ordered the burger, seafood pasta and the duck. All was very tasty. The servers and mangers are very attentive and friendly. Really enjoyed the atmosphere.
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
Not sure how they have 4 stars but I guess everyone's different. The only reason I'm giving the place 2 stars is because the service was great. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. Another waiter even brought our food out and when we asked for a million sauces he ran in and got us everything right away. The food though. Maybe it's just their brunch? I don't know. I got the farm vegetable omelette and added cheese to it. The omelette was dry and had 0 flavor. Eggs are my favorite brunch dish to get but these are such a letdown. The potatoes were overcooked and the salad dressing which was purple tasted like mustard. I also got a passion fruit lemonade which I couldn't drink at all. It tasted spoiled.

Yelp
Came here for brunch on a Saturday with reservations Food: ordered the steak panini (medium) with the truffle parm fries (upgrade). They sandwich was great good flavor and great cuts of me nothing fatty (I hate biting into meat fat). The fries were perfectly fried and seasoned. The Parmesan was a nice touch. The focaccia bread for the sad which was fresh and had great sauce to top it off Service: servers were attentive from moment we stepped in. Our water glasses were never empty. They checked in but weren't too annoying and did not awkwardly hover. They were friendly and cleared our table at the right time. All the food came out together. Ambiance: it's a small narrow place with an open kitchen. They played Spanish music in the background (a bit loudly). But it's a lively ambiance and environment with lots of chatter. The decor is clean and modern. Price: food for brunch was a tad bit over priced but they did have great quality ingredients so justifiable Overall I will come back to try regular weekday menu

Yelp
My lovely mother-in-law adores cheeseburgers and friendly atmospheres. For her 75th birthday, I purchased a $75 gift certificate at this restaurant. It was a very easy process...I signed the documents in their record book and I paid cash. In good faith of this neighborhood establishment, I happily presented this certificate to her as a gift on her birthday. Today, two weeks later, my in-laws visited to enjoy a nice meal. When it came time to pay, their total was approximately $50. When they presented the $75 gift certificate, they were informed that they would have to use the full amount or lose the difference. The waiter explained to them that these "rules" were absolutely explained to the purchaser, when in reality they were not even touched on. In order to not waste money that was rightfully theirs to spend, they were unexpectedly forced to pay cash out of pocket. They arrived expecting to utilize and enjoy the full value of their gift certificate in celebration of a milestone birthday, but they left confused and embarrassed by this ordeal. It is unfortunate that a local establishment would employ inconsiderate and illegal practices when it comes to our hard-earned money, particularly in this economy. Restaurant dining is a luxury and an experience you gift others to enjoy, not to give them grief or embarrassment.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite lunch spots in the neighborhood because of quality of food and now they serve alcoholic drinks as well. The food is farm to table and most of the items we ordered were delicious. Only the charred octopus was below average. No taste and the texture was a little soft. The fries were fried perfectly. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. My go to entree here is always the seafood pasta. The outdoor area was nice. We sat outside in the enclosure and it was nicely ventilated and breezy. Today's weather was perfect so no too many empty tables. When we arrived, only two tables left and it was quickly filled. They take reservations if you would like to call ahead of time. Lunch with tax and tip totaled to around $123 including three drinks. Definitely not cheap according to my husband but definitely yummy for the most part.

Yelp
There were a handful of people for seated service and a couple of folks at the bar when we came on a sleepy Sunday evening. The staff were super friendly and accommodating in revisiting a few times due to us chit chatting instead of focusing on the menu. We eventually settled on a dozen oysters, beef sliders, the white radish burger, panini, duck two ways, brussel sprouts, and the white radish mac and cheese. All of the dishes were well portioned, flavored well, and ultimately satisfying. Ultimately worth visiting if you're in the area.

Yelp
Came here randomly because I heard they had crab eggs benedict and was surprised! The crab eggs benedict and chicken and waffles were not bad however the wait was longer than I prefer, and there was very little crab in my eggs benedict.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour. Beers were 5 dollars and the cocktails were 7. The oxtail croquettes were definitely worth a try. They had a hint of truffle that was not mentioned in the menu. Also the wings were very good but they didn't serve with any blue cheese or ranch. I will definitely come back to try more.

Yelp
Wonderful hospitality. The kind of noticeable hospitality that matters today. Went for brunch and while originally surprised at the very straight forward brunch menu...(no appetizers, sides or desserts for a little bit of grazing) the entrees were generously portioned, fresh, well-plated and delicious. My friend and I didn't make a reservation but they allowed us to walk-in and have a relaxed and enjoyable conversation while catching up over a long time. Never rushed us which I am grateful for. Smiling and gracious service never goes unnoticed. God bless them and I'll have to come back for dinner & dessert!

Yelp
Came here for lunch by a recommendation from a friend. We sat inside vs outside because well, I prefer it. lol Steak panini was delicious. It is made of foccacia bread with steak, onions, peppers and chipotle mayo maybe? It had a little kick. Fries were steaming hot. Hubby got the chicken sammich and he wasnt overly amazed. Nothing to write home to. With that said, I'd come back to try the dinner menu next time. Friend said the short rib ravioli is good.
