My husband and I just had our wedding reception here a couple weeks ago and it turned out even better than we anticipated! We both immediately loved the space while touring wedding venues. The inside is spacious, but also feels cozy and intimate for our 200 guests as we didn't want just a giant room for everyone. The sculpture garden was a beautiful space for pictures and cocktail hour with such a cool atmosphere being right next to the river walk! Lucy and Daniel were so attentive and also very prompt with answering any little questions we had while planning our wedding. We highly recommend the Briscoe for any couple planning their wedding day! :)

Jack Guenther Pavilion at the Briscoe was the perfect venue for our wedding! We loved taking portraits in the museum and the garden is perfectly manicured. The location right on the riverwalk cannot be beat, especially if you have a lot of out of town guests. I want to specifically thank their coordinator Daniel Gomez! Danny was such a joy to work with. He went above and beyond helping pass out dance floor props and even hyping us up during photos, he made sure everything was perfect and we are so grateful for his help.

Went here for an appreciation dinner. Nice venue with indoor and outdoor spaces. The outdoor area had bronze sculptures that were nice to look at. The wait staff at our event were efficient and friendly. The food was good (except the chicken, bland and kinda dry) and the desserts were awesome.

I'm a wedding photographer, and one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever gotten to photograph was at this venue. I can't recommend it enough to anybody considering getting married here! There was plenty of shade in the outdoor area during the afternoon for portraits, and the interior of the venue offered a classy atmosphere for the reception. I loved working here and hope to be back soon!

Great day here with the grandchildren. Cowboy day was lots of fun for them. The museum had lots of beautiful artifacts, and the Alamo diorama was amazing.

The Jack Guenther Pavilion is a very nice event venue at the Briscoe Museum. There is a very large and spacious patio and also a dining room. There are some very nice bronzes around the pavilion as well. Very nice for events indeed.

We had our wedding & reception here in the garden and first floor river room. It was an amazing venue with a great atmosphere! You really don't need a lot of decorations, it's so beautiful on its own. The staff was super helpful and easy to work with! Highly recommend.

Yelp
Beautiful wedding venue! I absolutely love live painting here. The view overlooking the Riverwalk is just perfect and makes for such a beautiful painting. The venue is so versatile with different wedding themes and can accommodate large events. This is hands down the best place you could choose if you were wanting a downtown SA Venue on the River.

Yelp
Such a cool indoor/outdoor events area along the San Antonio Riverwalk! This place ties in nicely with the Bricsoe Western Art Museum located right next door. The outdoor area is full of art, mostly Western, and has great areas to sit, mingle, and hang out. There are outdoor bar areas to accommodate lots of thirsty event attendees. It's a large indoor/outdoor events place that can handle hundreds, if not thousands of people. The design of this place is really quite fantastic- it blends the tropical feel of the Riverwalk with majestic and mighty oak trees, with a feel for Italy with a Mediterranean Pergola set up. Waterfalls line the entryway from the river area to the events space. Such a cool set up here. The Pavilion is available for events ranging from formal sit-down dinners to whiskey bashes and champagne tastings.

Yelp
‼ I would absolutely never recommend the Jack Guenther Pavilion at the Briscoe to ANYONE. First off we stressed our budget to them and they agreed to "work with us" to make our dream wedding come true. We told the sales rep. That we wanted to save on money and provide all our own alcohol. He asked his boss and she said "oh yes, we don't normally but for you guys to be happy and have your wedding here with us. I'll allow it but only if you hire my friend to serve it." They also mentioned they had a preferred catering list we would have to choose from. That if we didn't choose from the list then we have a 22% charge. So we started calling the catering teams off the list. The top "preferred vendor" wanted to charge us $50 a plate!!!! Am I Kate Middleton?? Do I look like I can afford $50 a person?? The last time I check "preferred" means you like them most. "Exclusive" should have been the right term to use. If you pushing me to choose one or charge me more... So she so graciously brought it down to $32 a person but we HAD to use them for bartending services and they wouldn't serve past 9 p.m. So we looked at the other catering companies on the list. Although the prices were better ($30-35) they were still incredibly high. Not to mention, they would charge us the 22% fee from the venue. The "friend" bartending service quoted us $3,000 with you guessed it!!! A 27% fee from the venue!! This is not even including us needing to provide the alcohol!!!!! Then their preferred decoration company quoted us $62,000!!!! Ummmm hello that's more than most peoples income. We brought all this up to the Jack Guenther Pavilion team and they said they understood and wanted to "help us out" so they lowered the fees from 22% to 20% for food and from 27% to 25% for alcohol. Gee thanks for saving us $20. After regrouping and looking into another venue we decided to cancel with Jack Guenther. They emailed us agreeing to give us the full deposit back and now, after two weeks, they said they would only give us 50% back!!!! "During my vacation, my request for your refund was questioned by our executives, and it was their final decision. It is out of my hands." -Sales Rep. I'm so annoyed and have never faced so much disappointment and frustration. This place promises one thing and then does another!! This place is sneaky and snake-like!!!! I pray no one else EVER has to go through such a nightmare of planning!!!! Here you are trying to enjoy getting married to your best friend and then these snakes come and try and take advantage of your celebration.

Yelp
Located right outside the Briscoe Museum, you almost get a feel that it's part of the museum, but it's a completely separate entity. Had a lot of fun walking around the statue garden and reading up on the various pieces of art. It would be a nice place for a small event or gathering, and looks like it has a nice variety of foliage, although it wasn't quite in bloom yet. Swing by if you're in the area and appreciate artwork.

Yelp
Beautiful Veniue. Great staffing. Unfortunately they have exclusive vendors or a short list and the vendors sure know it. They set pricing pretty high since they know you either go with them or not at all.
