"I’m adding one more spot to my list of places to drink: Jackalope Brewing Company’s new 'Ranch' at 429B Houston Street in the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood. The team is dubbing the space 'the ranch,' which houses a taproom, a production brewery, and room for private events. Founder/CEO Bailey Spaulding first opened Jackalope on 8th Avenue in 2011, and they now brew seven times as much beer as they did in that first year; the original location — 'the den' — will be kept to create small-batch specialty beers sold only at the taprooms. Co-owner/COO Steve Wright says the expansion supports an eventual goal of statewide distribution. The grand opening is Saturday, August 25, with public hours from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., free tours of the new facility, and multiple beers brewed for the occasion. After opening, the Ranch’s regular hours will be Monday, Thursday, and Friday 3–10 p.m., Saturday 12–10 p.m., and Sunday 12–6 p.m., and the brewery promotes itself with the tagline 'Drink Legendary!'." - Delia Jo Ramsey
