14 Nashville Restaurants With Great Gluten-Free Options

"This Broadway barbecue spot is pretty savvy about celiac needs — not only are the mouth-watering meats gluten-free, but so are the corn, slaw, beans, potato salad, and all of the sauces. The staff at Jack’s Bar-B-Que take care to change gloves, cutting boards, and utensils for gluten-free diners, so load up on meats and sides and skip the bun. And if you’re not downtown, you’ll find additional Jack’s locations on Charlotte Avenue and Trinity Lane." - Eater Staff

Had the opportunity to dine at Jack's Bar-B-Que tonight with our friends. No wait, very quick service and found a table immediately. Very rustic restaurant on Broadway. We were looking for a quiet place to dine on the main drag of the street and found it. The BBQ smell of this place wafts down the sidewalk. The wife and I split a 3 meat combo with chicken, ribs, and brisket. The chicken had a nice crisp skin and was cooked thoroughly. The brisket was chopped so I couldn't judge the smoke ring and was about average for tenderness and moisture. The ribs had a really nice rub on them that had a salty and complex flavor. The ribs were overcooked and fell off the bone. I tried 3 different sauces and all were good but my favorite was sweet and smoky. The cornbread was amazing with butter as were the green beans. The Mac n cheese was about average. Thanks for having us tonight, would recommend.

If I can do 3 1/2 stars I would, but I’ll be generous and say four. Ordered a full rack of ribs and it wasn’t quite a full Rack. Ordered the brisket meal and was told it was a half a pound of brisket, but it was more like a quarter pound of fat with a quarter pound of brisket. As for barbecue flavor goes, I give it a 7 1/2 out of 10. The barbecue sauce comes out of plastic pouches. That place needs a major renovation for sure unless you like the old used up furniture and dirty floors. I think you need to at least try it to see what you think for yourself. I think there’s a lot of big reviews here that aren’t 100% honest. But hey, maybe people are used to eating mediocre to 70% barbecue. The idea of the place is amazing. It is conveniently located in the center of Broadway Street. There’s definitely better barbecue choices on Broadway. But like I said, I give it a 3 1/2 out of five stars but since I can’t pick 3 1/2 I will say four. The staff was so so and seemed like they rushed us through the line. Definitely not 100% impressed

Jack's BBQ on Broadway is one of the best BBQ places we visited in Nashville. Everything we ordered was delicious. The baby back ribs fell off the bone. The chicken was tender and smoked all the way to the bone. The pulled pork was just right. That fried chip was crispy on the outside, tender and moist on the inside. All of the sides were great. Located on Broadway in the heart of the strip, you'd think you would get tourist food. Not at Jack's. The food was so good, we forgot to take pictures. In the short time we were there, we visited Jack's at least twice and even referred friends. If they had beer on tap, that would have been my favorite place in the whole city of Nashville.

Google
Great place for lunch on Broadway! We loved that Jack’s was not as loud and hustling as some of its neighbor’s but it’s big windows upstairs let us still observe all the fun of Broadway. It was a great place of respite AND the food was delicious. We tried the brisket, pulled pork, and the ribs. The ribs were by far the best of the three but everything was good!

Google
Best ribs we’ve ever had, ANYWHERE. I don’t think it’s possible to make brisket any better. Sides were acceptable, this place is about the meat! We intended to go to another place but Jacks was more convenient. We’ definitely go back! These guys know BBQ, it’s the real deal.

Google
This place is dead smack in the middle of broadway on the left side if you are looking at the stadium. I couldn’t find it at first but when I searched the map, it was literally right in front of me. This is the kind of no nonsense place that has great meat, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and serious employees, doing their jobs without messing around. They offer a nice selection of beers and soft drinks, and a variety of sides. I recommend the brisket and cucumber salad. The portions are large and the price is what you would expect for broadway. I think I spent about $25 or so for a full platter. Sandwiches were less. They have a nice outside patio in the back and apparently an upstairs that I didn’t visit. The back patio leads to the alley behind the Ryman and a short walk to be back on Broadway or the Ryman. It was busy but the line moves fast. The people know what they’re doing and do it very well.

Google
If you’ve been to Nashville you’ve heard of Jack’s. The lines, yes, they are long. However, the wait is worth it. We ordered brisket and pulled pork. They are both fantastic. The real stunner, and this may not mean much to most of you was how they treated my daughter who has a serious food auto immune issue. She asked the man if he would change his gloves. Not only did he do that, but he proceeded to get a new slab of meat, a new chopping board, a new knife and did all of this out of concern for her. If everyone served such delicious food and did so with even a drop of this level of humanity the world would be a better place. We are grateful and will be stopping by again today.

Jack's Bar-B-Que is a must-visit when you're in Nashville. This iconic spot delivers some of the best barbecue in the city, with ribs that might just be the best in the area. The meat is tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, falling off the bone with each bite. The laid-back atmosphere makes it a perfect place to unwind, whether you're a local or a tourist. One of the highlights is the upstairs seating area, which offers fantastic views of the bustling entertainment strip below. It's a great vantage point to soak in the vibrant energy of Nashville while enjoying a plate of mouthwatering barbecue. Whether you're craving ribs, brisket, or pulled pork, Jack's Bar-B-Que never disappoints. Pair your meal with their delicious sides, and you've got a dining experience that's hard to beat. If you're in Music City, don't miss out on this barbecue gem. Highly recommended for anyone looking to savor authentic Southern flavors in a relaxed setting with great views.

Yelp
The food was amazing. The service was extremely fast and friendly just a nice cozy place to get a meal

Yelp
Popped in for brisket at midnight and it was the best decision any of us made that night. The brisket was top tier, super juicy with a nice bark with plenty of flavor so sauce isn't even needed
google avatar

Warren M.

Yelp
Very good BBQ. I had just the pulled pork sandwich with potato salad and baked beans. Everything was delicious. The sweet BBQ sauce is great - no heat, but all flavor. Good flavor. Not ketchup flavor. BBQ sauce flavor. The place is very busy, but they have the system down pat so the line goes very fast. Friendly and fast. If you're in NASHville and haven't tried it, you may want to.

Yelp
It took me eight years to make my way back to Nashville, but found myself at Jacks BBQ again. This time, I opted for a jumbo brisket sandwich with a side of mac and cheese, and a chess pie. Brisket sandwich was delicious and the meat was perfectly prepared. I had run the Rock n Roll half earlier that day, so I was HUNGRY... the jumbo probably would have been too much on a normal day but was perfect for my extra appetite. Loved seeing the brisket cut to order. The chess pie was good, not great so would probably choose a different dessert next time. There was a line, but it moves continuously and they do cut the meat to order (this is a major plus!), so you know it's fresh. I also appreciated that they have cameras showing other parts of the restaurant so you can see where there are open tables beyond the first floor dining room.

Yelp
I was in town on business and was in the mood for barbecue. I found this place on Broadway just a few blocks. I got a 2-meat combo: sausage and ribs. I think this is the best barbecue I've ever had in Nashville. The sauce and bread are incredible!

Yelp
No frills, great bbq. Stopped in mid afternoon, solid crowd but not too busy. Recommend for anyone looking for a classic bbq experience while visiting .

Yelp
Amazing barbecue and very fair prices. It's no wonder this place always has a long line. We tried the brisket and pulled pork and really enjoyed both.

Yelp
Solid BBQ and definitely worth trying while in Nashville. Some great options here and great environment. Great tourist location and worth the visit. Traditional Tennessee BBQ, sauces are great, and customer service was on point. Take the time to stop by, and also experience the culture of downtown Nashville.

Yelp
Being from Texas , there are good BBQ joints all over , After hitting up Jack's on a business trip , the Brisket and pork shoulder was hella good and flavorful.
google avatar

Alicia P.

Yelp
I'm really at a 3.5 but upped it to 4 because that pork shoulder really is GOOD! The place is right on Broadway in a prime location, but this small/narrow kind of a divey place was just that... a dive. That doesn't take away from the meat's quality and flavor. The usual white bread bun accompanied it, which I didn't eat, I was there for the MEAT! I'd probably opt to go elsewhere in the future, but glad I could try Jack's. It hit the spot at that moment.

Yelp
Slaymazing bbq! So good I went here twice over my weekend trip. Great deal with meat and sides. Obsessed with the ribs. Workers were super nice. You order at the station and seat yourself.

Yelp
This place had a great smell coming out the door on a hot day in Nashville music row. All the clubs hopping and people are In great moods. So I asked a large doorman who works next door if the BBQ was good and he said yes. So, my wife got pulled pork and I got the smoked sausage. The sausage tasted like a hot dog. No chew or texture, nothing. No smokey flavor. Yuck! I put three different sauces to try and give it flavor. Nope just left me feeling sick. No kidding... My wife's pork was fair to be kind. I guess I'm just a Texan who is a snob. But, Nashville is supposed to have some good BBQ. They might but not here. Sorry... I tell it straight so you get good information.

Yelp
( This review is for the Trinity location; I couldn't find a Yelp listing for anything but Broadway.) Mixed feelings about Jack's. Credit where credit is due: - The brisket is world class. Great smoke ring; just a hint of a fat cap to keep the meat moist. Really great. - Pulled Pork Shoulder: Terrific! I like my Q without much (any?) sauce and this pork stands on its own. Moist, smoky, meaty, lean. Really great. But... - The sausage was (how do I say this politely?)... not good. In fact, I couldn't finish it. The meat was spongy and greasy. No bueno. - The sides were meh. Slaw was swimming in vinegar; cornbread was dry; mac'n'cheese was flavorless. - "Baked" Beans were straight from a can. - Fries weren't not an option (but a bag of Lay's was). I'm a traditionalist: I want my Q with a side of slaw and fries. So this was a let-down. Overall I love the ambiance of the place. And the smell is heaven. But, overall, Jack's failed to fulfill our expectations. Probably won't be back.

Yelp
Went early on a Thursday morning, so hardly any line - that's a plus! We tried a little of everything and we're were quite impressed. Texas style brisket was juicy and flavorful. Ribs were St Louis , which is hard to find in some areas. Ribs were bite off the bone like competition ribs - extra plus. Cornbread =heaven. Pulled pork was more chopped but was good. Variety of sauces and sides. Our favorites was the 911 sauce (ask the staff) the potato salad. Beans and mac/cheese was also good. Prices seemed very reasonable for where we were. Definitely would go back! Note - they are also dog friendly as they have a small outside patio upstairs.

Yelp
Ribs + Mac N Cheese + Corn Bread -- Comfort and juicy savory goodness all on one plate! As for the service, the night we dropped in, it was pretty lousy. Instead of taking our order the guy behind the counter kept talking to a customer and didn't greet us for awhile, we almost left. It was pretty rude and not hospitable. BUT-- the first bite of my ribs made it all worth it. The ribs are SO good you want more and more. We sat facing the front window and people watched while listening to the background music :) It's one of those places where the food's so good they don't have to be friendly, if that makes sense. Just eat your food and go. I'd come here again.

Yelp
We love eating at Jacks bbq when visiting Nashville! It's always on our list every time we are in town. The place smell amazing as soon as you walk in the door. You know you're in for a treat! Many times the line can be long but don't let that discourage you. It goes fast and the people serving are so nice. The hardest part is deciding what to get as everything is so delicious. I always have the hardest time picking sides. They have so many options. Today I decided on green beans and potato salad to go with my pulled pork. I was happy with my choice. I also really like their Mac and cheese, cream corn and baked beans. As for sauces they have a nice variety including St. Louis sweet, Tennessee original and sweet hot. I like to mix the hot with the St. Louis sweet. Can't wait to come back to jacks! I'd highly recommend giving it a try when in Nashville!

Yelp
Not my favorite meal of the Nashville weekend trip. A friend and I wanted to grab a bite on Broadway before starting our night down the broadway bars and decided BBQ sounded like a good cushion for all the alch we'd be having. We were torn between Jack's and a place across the street, but came here as the reviews looked a lot better. The service is great. The guy who was breaking down the meats was really funny and polite. The food however left a lot to be desired. I got the brisket sandwich and the meat was cold with a lot of fat still on it. I kept picking out globs of fat while eating it, which i've never had happen at other bbq places. The sides also aren't the greatest tasting. The mac and cheese reminded me of pollo loco's and the coleslaw also needed some sweetness to it
google avatar

Draft M.

Yelp
Good...not great...but can get into it when hitting the strip...with lots of other options...can recommmend...but with some degree of reservation.
google avatar

Camille C.

Yelp
BBQ hit the spot prior to concert at the Ryman. Perfect location. Nothing fancy, just super food. I had the pork shoulder sandwich, Mac& cheese and potato salad. Everything was hot and tasty.
google avatar

Dwayne S.

Yelp
Friendly staff but some of the worst barbecue I've ever had. The brisket was juicy but had very little flavor. The ribs were extremely tough (like they were reheated ribs from several days ago) and had zero flavor. I got tired of chewing the ribs and ended up throwing them away. I tried dunking everything in bbq sauce but that didn't help. The beans and coleslaw were ok. Nothing to brag about. Beans tasted like canned Bush's beans. I paid almost $30 for a two meat plate and was very disappointed
google avatar

Kala J.

Yelp
Well...I had high hopes but they quickly diminished! The staff talked up this food like my mind was going to be blown but I'm sorry to say, it wasn't. I had two meats and two sides: sausage and ribs with Mac and cheese and green beans. Those green beans looked seasoned to the high heavens but they weren't great, the Mac n cheese had no flavor. The ribs were fall off the bone, flavorful but also tasted like grease. The sausage didn't even taste like it had been on a grill! For $40 I expected so much more. That front table was people watching heaven though lol typical BBQ restaurant, a couple booths and tables. Could use some wet wipes or paper towels!
google avatar

Vanessa L.

Yelp
If I could give this establishment a ZERO I would. Horrible service from the lady up front at the cashier. Condescending, disrespectful and borderline racist. She tried overcharging us and ended up wanting us to disappear from her face lol. Weird and just supremacist vibe. We are out of town and wanted something quick to eat so we opted to give ir a try (no line, the horrible service and bland food explains why) Aside from the dirty tables and lack of explanation on how the service works the sour attitude and plain disrespect and the way cashier gave her service I would never come back here. Food lacks taste...everything is sort of warm. Not quality food not a fair price. Horrible horrible .
google avatar

Rancene S.

Yelp
If you're in Nashville Eat at Jacks! Staff was so welcoming and friendly. The place was consistently kept clean And the FOOD?!!!! Chefs Kiss
google avatar

Eugene K.

Yelp
Really forgettable. Went with the ribs plate. Sides were junior high school cafeteria level for flavor. Ribs were ok. But this is definitely a tourist spot. If you can get the table upstairs near the window that makes up for the lack of wow with the food.
google avatar

Bev B.

Yelp
Very good food! We ordered the Texas beef brisket plate and it was good for two people if you are not really that hungry. The bbq was so delicious. It was soft and has good taste. All the sides were also very good, mash potatoes especially. The guys were so friendly. The place was a little small but it's good there was a backyard benches and open space.
google avatar

Nicole G.

Yelp
On Broadway but it looks like bbq shack on the side of the road. The one with the best tasting bbq and sides. Always a line but the staff is very patient. It's the best brisket in the area. Well cooked and seasoned. Sandwich or dinner option. Lots of sides to choose from. Chicken sandwich is half a chicken. Spices for sale. 2 dining floors Outdoor seating
google avatar

Madelyne V.

Yelp
I'm no Nashville local so don't roast me but I absolutely LOVED this bbq spot on Broadway. The meat was utter perfection. I got a platter with ribs, brisket, mac, and baked beans. The brisket was moist and tender, the ribs were fall off the bone. The mac and cheese was really good. The baked beans, however, were my least favorite because they tasted and looked like canned baked beans. Nothing wrong with a can of beans but for the $ you pay you'd expect house made beans! Either way, you can't go wrong with this spot.
google avatar

Devi M.

Yelp
Hole in the wall best bbq. Line up pick your meat and pay. Yummooo. Several sauces to choose from. My fav Kansas City Sweet n Smokey, what do you expect from a Kansas girl. All sauces were great !!

Yelp
[ THE SCENE ] I REALLY wanted to experience amazing BBQ while visiting Nashville and could not decide based on yelp reviews! My top seven picks were Shotgun Willie's, Papa Turney's, Bringles Smoking Oasis, Peg Leg Porker, Ooh Wee Bar-B-Q, RIB Doctor and Edley's, all of which were 4 stars or better on yelp at the time of my research. But instead, I decided to ask some locals once I arrived and the overwhelming multitude recommended either Jack's or Martin's (which both happened to be 8 and 10 on my list). My list was solely arranged according to ratings with Shotgun Willie's being the highest rated @ 4.7 on yelp and Jack's & Martin's being the lowest of my top 10 @ 3.8 and 3.7 respectively. But I took a gamble and went with the local recommendations. [ THE EXPERIENCE ] First I tried Jack's. I ordered the TWO MEAT COMBO with Beef Brisket (2 stars) and Pork Ribs (3 stars). Included were two sides. I ordered mac n' cheese (3 stars) and baked beans (3.5 stars). While most of my order was decent, it wasn't the sort of satisfying lick my fingers experience I was hoping to have! So I gave Martin's a try on the last day of our visit and found myself even more disappointed! I personally thought Martin's ribs were overcooked. The very tips of the ribs were tough and dry while the bark was rather chewy. While I didn't think Jack's seasoning was very flavorful, at least the ribs were nicely cooked, that is, all but one end bone they gave me that was pretty dry. [ THE VERDICT ] Neither Martin's nor Jack's is the type of BBQ that would make me eager to return. And to be honest, you can find better brisket at a BUC-EE'S gas station... seriously! In retrospect, because of my hotels proximity to downtown, locals might have been directing me to their NEAREST BBQ recommendation instead of their favorite. 3.0 stars overall 2023 / 31

Yelp
I am a flight attendant and I'm in Nashville from time to time years ago I had Jack's barbecue it was really good and affordable. I decided to try it again tonight the three meat combo and they give you very little of each meat was 32 something with tax I gave them a two dollar tip for a takeout order which they did nothing for I regret that. But I felt pressured to do so. It was not even worth half of what I paid I ended up paying 34 something almost $35 half the meat was fat. I've made barbecue in my smoker many times far superior to this. They should trim the fat away before they serve it doesn't need to be served with a bunch of fat. I think this place is a rip off now and I would never order from them again.they're taking advantage
google avatar

Ray L.

Yelp
This place really surprised me on how good it is. I was only gonna eat half of the brisket sandwich at first but ended up ate the entire thing. The brisket was really good and juicy. Their hot and sweet sauce was my favorite. The ribs peel right off the bones and the corn was sooooo sweet! Staffs were nice and friendly but it's mostly a self serve type of place. I'd recommend stoping by here for late meal while roaming around Broadway or any time of the day.

G C.

Yelp
Food was plentiful and service was good. The cornbread with dinner was delicious. Unfortunately, I had the brisket and it was not too tasty. The seasoning did not get through and it just tasted like grilled meat with little to no seasoning.
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
After hours of walking around Broadway, I stopped here for a late lunch/early dinner. There was not much of a line but there was some confusion about my order as it went from the "meat guy" down the assembly line to the "sides guy" that was easily fixed. I opted to give both the pork and brisket a try, and whenever there is Mac and cheese, that is a must and then opted for something green-beans were my second side. I would say both meats were pretty average in flavor, but I preferred the brisket over the pork. The Mac and cheese was just ok and I really enjoyed the green beans that had some potatoes mixed in with them. The two pieces of corn bread were a nice addition to the meal, although one of the pieces I had was an outside edge of the loaf and it was very much brunt/overcooked. The space itself was clean. I ate up stairs where there was a great deal of seating. I was also surprised by the prepackaged bbq sauces.
google avatar

Troy B.

Yelp
Located In the heart of Broadway street. If you're seeking to experience Tennessee BBQ, this place will check that box. Had the pork shoulder and brisket and they both were delicious.
google avatar

Jasmine C.

Yelp
If you want some good beef brisket in the city, Jacks is my go to spot. I have tb had a place yet that has their brisket beat. Now I will say when getting the brisket you almost have to eat it within that time because it tends to dry out. I've noticed from the past few times of coming here they ration out the brisket more than they do the pulled pork ribs. One night I was given nothing but burnt ends and fatty pieces and when inquired about whether or not they had more brisket, it was frowned upon. Reason behind me asking was to see if I was just getting the worst of what they had left. But to find out they had quite few left for the night. You can't really go wrong with any of their meats. The baked beans are my favorite side they serve. I could do double beans and meat and be content. Oh can't forget about the cornbread lol If you're in the area definitely give it a try and get some of that Kansas, Texas, and Tennessee bbq sauce to go with it. You won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Yelp
We were driving through and definitely wanted some barbecue! We were not disappointed! How neat when you check in with Yelp you get a F R E E hand rub! The employees were all very nice. We ordered the three meat combo. We got ribs, sausage and brisket! The brisket was so tender, the sausage was juicy and perfect. The ribs the meat was falling off the bone. The cucumber salad was my F A V O R I T E! We also ordered mashed potatoes and beans. I'm keto so I don't get these foods often. The mashed potatoes were fluffy - it's hard for me to comment because I'm so used to cauliflower potatoes but I did find it delicious! The brand had a Smokey flavor yum! There's tons of seating throughout and even upstairs! The ambiance is kind of loud since the doors are always open and bands play outside plus the bars.

Yelp
Maybe I went there on A bad night, but the quality is f the food has really dropped. Wow. The only thing that I enjoyed was the Mac & Cheese.
google avatar

Yelp
Jack's is located on Broadway, where all the magic happens. They have ample seating, and a big variety of good sides and entrees. Tried the 1/2 slab of st.Louis ribs with amazing mash potatoes and gravy and the corn was very good too. My plus one had the Texas smoked sausage with mac n cheese & bbq beans I believe it comes with some freshly baked corn bread, food was amazing the gentlemen who served the food were very nice, the cashier could use better manners when dealing with clients. Over all great ambiance. When in Nashville it's a must.

Yelp
Cute place, what you would expect to find here, smelled like a good BBQ Joint. People were nice. My brisket too salty n too dry. Sides were ok. I ate half

Yelp
Hell's to the Yah!!! Serving well-smoked classics, you should stop in when in Music City, cause this is music for your mouth. All the meats we tried were fantastic. Brisket, ribs, turkey, sausage (home made?). The sauces are a nice adder, authentic, and have KC and Texas styles as well as their own signature flavor. We couldn't choose a favorite! So good. Sides are important, too, and Jack's delivers here as well. Tater salad is tasty, all the bean sides are good. In the age-old debate of creamy versus vinegar Cole slaw , their vinegar based makes a strong case. And don't turn down the bread.. its so good. We are admittedly BBQ snobs and were very happy to report that Jack's is the real deal when it would be easy to be just another tourist trap. It is so good!!! On Nashville's main drag, there is a line at every restaurant waiting to eat and the music is so loud and cross pollinating it can be hard to talk to the person next to you without screaming. But at Jack's there's music but it's perfect for the bbq scene and Nashville ambiance and you can hear those at the table !!! 5 stars Jacks!!!! It's as good as Black's and Rudy's in Texas which are among the top tier bbq places. No kidding!!!
google avatar

Yelp
I may be known to bring home BBQ for my family from places I go (especially TX) so I figured why not Nashville? There are as many recommendations as people so I tried Jack's since I could easily tell they had meat by the pound and it was convenient. Ribs Brisket Sausage Pulled Pork I was confused that they had Tennessee, Texas, and Kansas style sauce offerings but tried them all! I can now say we have tried all three kinds of BBQ and sauces! The guys helping me were super nice, thank you! The food was delicious and I had a happy family the next day!

Ryan P.

Yelp
Food was great although the pulled pork and brisket were dry. But you get the food quickly.
google avatar

Linda S.

Yelp
Employees were extremely friendly and welcoming, but the food was a letdown. We ordered beef brisket with Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes, as well as pork shoulder with Mac and cheese and baked beans. The meat was not very well seasoned, especially the brisket which didn't taste like there was any seasoning. And the sides were meh, though the beans were probably the tastiest thing we ate. I'd say pass on Jack's...

Yelp
Bomb AF BBQ - better than Martins in my humble opinion. Mac & cheese was creamy and flavorful, the brisket was fall apart and juicy. Great view of the broadway downtown area and nice, southern hospitality service.
google avatar

Rene R.

Yelp
The service by the cashier was excellent and the ladies who served your sides. Other than that the pit master well can't say much about that. The brisket was very salty and got served a lot of fat. Don't recommend this place to anyone.

Yelp
We were told that Jack's was the place to go for BBQ! Jack's is an order at the counter, seat yourself type of establishment. There are two levels of seating as well as an upper outdoor area. As we stood in line mulling over our options, we settled upon the BBQ chicken platter with mashed potatoes and corn (they were out of coleslaw). Everything from the corn bread to the chicken and mashed potatoes were very good. The one platter was more than enough food for my husband and I to share.

Yelp
Very tasty bbq. We shared the jumbo texas brisket. Nice snack while on the strip. We enjoyed that the sauce was in to-go type packets. Bbq sauce Tennesse version was great.

Yelp
Oh wow! This bbq was so good! Don't let the line steer you there is a reason and it goes super fast anyway! They are very friendly. This is a place you order your food after waiting in line and they give it to you right away and hope you find a seat. We thankfully found one downstairs but they do have an upstairs with more space. I got the regular bbq platter and it was so good! I want to go back for more!!!

Yelp
My absolute favorite BBQ in Nashville and the ribs are the best part--don't miss out! The sauce is the star of the show so be sure to try them all if you eat inside. The location on Charlotte is normally not busy so service is prompt and you won't have trouble finding a place to sit. The Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes are also pretty good!

Yelp
First place I visited while staying in Nashville. Came for lunch on a Tuesday. Short line, plenty of seating options on multiple levels. Lots of decor of country singers and old Nashville images. You order in a assembly line fashion, so food is prepared quick. Brisket and pork were delicious. Juicy, tender. Baked beans were a great, classic taste. Coleslaw was pretty liquidy, but still tasty. They had 3 different BBQ sauces, none were very hot. They might have had more elsewhere and I didn't notice. But all 3 were tasty! Felt very full afterwards. Would definitely come back to try other meats (ribs, chicken, sausage) and sides (mac'n'cheese, green beans, as other classic bbq sides).
