13 Things To Do For Halloween In Chicago If You Haven’t Made Plans Because Life Is Scary Enough

"With over 10,000 pumpkins as part of its setup, Jack’s Pumpkin Pop-up in Goose Island is the largest pumpkin-themed installation in Chicago—a thing we didn’t realize was being measured until now. This is definitely the best Halloween pop up in town. There are so many photo opportunities and games so you could spend hours here. There are bars everywhere and food options too. Corn maze, bull riding, gem mining.. they have different drinks you can choose from that might come with your ticket. There are many ticket packages that you should look at before hand but whatever option you go, you can modify and adapt for your interests. I believe we got the one with the bucket of drinks which is apple cider or beer or a mix of both. Corn maze is actually challenging. Some hidden bars around where there is no line so worth to explore. There is a wagon with seats where you can sit down take a break and snack and just enjoy all the pretty lights in the dark hours. Our ticket was for 5pm and we definitely got to experience it during day light and night time. Wonderful experience and super fun. Loved everything about it. Keep in mind that parking is hard to find in that side of town and we got lucky since we came in the right time. They do have some parking organization set up but not enough parking spaces for sure

My family including 2 girl teens and a toddler loved this cute place! Great place for cute photos with so many different scenes and backgrounds so come prepared! The signature drinks were good, we tried every one! Food truck was delicious and not too overly priced! Corn maze and games were also fun! We came at 6pm which was a great time with no crowds yet because by 8pm it was crowded with lines to get in and def getting busy inside. 6 pm was perfect time to get beautiful pictures and enjoy the place! 2 hours is more than enough time!

Devin Ganka

Google
We had a great time! It does get busy but the lines move FAST! Never waited more than 10 minutes for anything. I was really impressed by that. All the speciality cocktails and food were great. A must do in Chicago during this time of the year as it really gets you in the mood for fall. The photo ops were great and overall a great time. You can buy tickets online as well as your add ons like drinks or pumpkins. Highly suggest doing that, they split the line up and your line moves faster when you buy online.

If this review was helpful, please make sure you leave it a like 👍🏾👍🏽❤️ This place was so much fun. There are way too many photo opportunities here for people who love that kind of thing. Wonderful junk food and great drinks. The maze was so much fun. I would recommend it for families and for people who just wanna have a good time with their friends.

Google
I suggest purchasing tickets ahead of time. You'll save a lot of money that way. I went with my boyfriend and we had a great time. The pretzels were amazing- the drinks were really good. The staff was friendly. I think we would have enjoyed it a little more if we went when it was dark and everything was lit up. I loved it and suggest it.

Google
I’m gone give it to y’all straight cuz I see 5 stars in here lol. Ummmmmmmm this is cute and all but a big waste of time. I loveeeeee the lights and colors cuz it’s definitely giving fall but this place is overpriced. It’s basically a giant place to take pictures. & so I did and I included them because I spent $40 on the basic package which was entry and the corn maze. The maze isn’t really a maze it’s a prop. Because we got the basic package everything else, you have to pay for with the tickets. The alcohol is overpriced. The place itself isn’t that big. They played the same Rihanna song three times per hour. At some point I really was about to tell the DJ to please stop the music. 💁🏽‍♀️ now I’m not a negative Nancy, I did enjoy myself out there. But this was a one and done. I feel like I could’ve gone somewhere else and spend my $40. Also, the parking is horrible. Tho, this is a great place to go to if you are an influencer or someone that is highly photogenic. Then I definitely recommend.

Google
The photo opportunities and lighting were fabulous !!! The decorations were awesome. Fun activities, decent food, good quality drinks. The lines were not too long. People were enjoying games and taking photos. The corn maze was fun. There is a parking lot across the street but it got full pretty fast. Really fun way to start the holiday season. Also very clean!

Google
I came with my sister and 2 daughters and we had a blast. We loved it. We had so much fun. We did the maze twice, we did some of the activities, we ate, we drank seasonal drinks and we took soooo many cool pics for great memories for years to come. All was perfect!

Yelp
This is a Halloween Extravaganza!! Great place for date night or for the girls or guys night out. Lots of opportunity for photo shoots with all the different scenery. They have food trucks, carnival games where you can win a stuffed animal or a T-shirt. Lots of spirits from beer to wine to mixed drinks but they are pricey. I had a blast in the corn maze for a second I was lost. The axe throwing was fantastic! They have off street parking for 35 - 50 bucks. Your best bet is to buy everything online before you go because you get a big discount purchasing online.
google avatar

Belkys C.

Yelp
This a nice pop up place full of scenery for photograph. I did not know what was this about until the dawn came and this place so full and most he locals which I am not were dressed up and ready with professional cameras lol. We worked and rocked out what we were wearing it still a fun time. The tickets we bought included 2 wack drinks and a dunut. The set up for the bars were cool they had several cocktails named after the season.. very weak, mostly sweet. The unique delicious donut was not fresh, as advertised, the take it out of a plastic package and put an oven to warm me up and hand it to you :/... For me this is one and done.

Yelp
Such a fun experience! Popped in for part of a friends belated birthday celebration and had a really great time. Great music, vibes, drinks, and a place to be a goofball and take fun pictures with friends. I came a few years ago and they have made huge improvements from then so it's definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
This was a one-time experience; I wouldn't return as it was pretty overpriced. We enjoyed the fall and Halloween decor--perfect for Instagram photo ops--and had fun playing some of the games, the food and drinks were good too. I particularly liked the tacos and corn from the taco truck. The place was extremely crowded over the weekend, requiring us to wait in line for photos and to get in.
google avatar

Meghan S.

Yelp
This is one of the best pumpkin patches I have ever been to. My husband and I traveled from Fl to go here and also do a haunted house and it was well worth the trip!! There's so many photo ops, different carnival games, axe throwing , corn maze, and such good food and drinks. My favorite was the hocus pocus and walking tacos. If you love fall, pumpkins , and having a good time you definitely have to check this out. 10/10 highly recommend!!
google avatar

Jacqueline M.

Yelp
Nice spot if you want pictures for Instagram but that's about it. Not much else there was intriguing to do. Also could get crowded

Yelp
Let me start by saying I HATE Pop Ups... Photo Op based outings are not for me however I absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED everything about Jack's Pumpkin Pop-Up. I was here on a triple date and wow... I am very happy to be rating this experience with 5 stars. It is fall and Halloween fun everywhere. There are plenty of activities here such as carnival games, axe throwing and a corn maze. The corn maze is not really a maze per say however I thought it was a lot of fun to go through. The entire course took about 20-30 mins while stopping for photos. The photo op areas are extremely creative and fun. Whoever put this together is very clever and has great attention to detail. There are multiple bars throughout and food options as well. I really enjoyed the hocus pocus cocktail, flavors are of a cozy autumn day.

Yelp
Jack's Pumpkin Pop-Up is a great Fall activity to visit once. It's good for Instagram. Other than that, it lacks. I visited for the first time last year and my friend and I kept saying how we should have just driven out to the suburbs for a real pumpkin patch. If you're able to, you're better off doing that.
google avatar

Roxy H.

Yelp
Hmmmm do you rate this place based on your needs or what needs it will fulfill for others? Four stars because it's a bit pricey. But overall? It's super cute! If you are tik tockers, teens, gen z, girls day out, under 25, trendy... this is the place for you. If you're a traditional corn maze, hay ride, pick a pumpkin in a patch, feed goats kind of person THIS IS NOT THAT. My cousins and I took our teens/tween to Jack's yesterday. The music could give some variety or some Halloween vibes but it didn't. Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Gaga vibes but it was ok. The corn maze is not a corn maze it's just a fun place to walk through, snap photos, drink and say ha ha. For real. If you want a real corn maze you're not going to find it here. Tickets cost a lot but you get a bit with admission I will admit. But because they were pricey I didn't buy anything else! We loved all of the props to take photos. We posed at a bunch and some we just admired. Like I mentioned if you fit the above criteria you will love it! If you're a parent of a teen like me, you'll wish you went to a farm instead. Your choice!!
google avatar

Wynetta S.

Yelp
I love this pop up, I have been there a few times and have enjoyed each time. The photo Ops, drinks, and vibe is a plus. It's definitely a place for friends and family.
google avatar

Kitty C.

Yelp
this place is a GIANT SCAM! tickets are super expensive and it's just photos! Most boring thing ever! It was so bad I want my money and time back. Also the water being more expensive than soda??? We were excited to share our last night at this cute looking festival. I'm very disappointed.
google avatar

Kisbel F.

Yelp
I highly recommend if you're in town when this takes places. They have so many cute photo ops, a corn maze, carnival games and axe throwing. Admission included two drink tickets so that was cool. It had been raining around the time we went so the floor was a little muddy, highly recommend wearing something you don't care gets dirty (which sucks if you're trying to take good pics). Took off a star since we lost a cellphone and attempted to ree-nter to look around at the time of closing and they denied us. We get that employees want to get home but a look around wouldn't have hurt. They also don't make it easy to connect with someone. Their phone number is automated and all the other forms to contact them either don't get monitored or simply don't work.
google avatar

Latrice A.

Yelp
My group and I had a very nice time here. You definitely know what you're paying for which is the experience. These pop-ups come in yearly so I mean if you like to go out if you have good company there's no reason why you shouldn't enjoy this place. It has photo ops. It has drinks again. The company plays an important role and we were there to just have fun not critique everything and we definitely enjoyed ourselves. Some people bought food. Some people did not but we enjoyed a little drinks. We ran around like kiddos and enjoyed ourselves. We were tired by the end of the outing

Yelp
We've been going to Jack's for several years and always know to expect a crowd. This year was no different, we were able to find parking really quickly even on a busy Saturday night. Jack's does a good job investing in the space and making it look new, bigger and better every year. They have some cocktails, ciders and beer/seltzer's available as well as snacks... definitely stick to what's on the menu for drinks, they charged us $31 for one tequila on the rocks, which is crazy but not surprising. We always have kids and they always have fun taking pictures and climbing all over everything. The ground is always covered with hay and Chicago gets pretty rainy in the fall so the ground is always sloppy- wear boots or shoes you don't care too much about unless you're prepared to tip toe through muck all night. For the value, jacks is a great fun place to take the kids for night out.
google avatar

Jasmine S.

Yelp
Jack's pumpkin pop up this year was great. They had music flowing, that was up upbeat, keeping the crowds energized in the cold weather. They offered a variety of drinks and food options. There was even a food truck serving items such as tacos and burritos. If you do not care of and alcoholic beverage, there is also drinks like hot chocolate and cider. It is perfect for photos! Also don't miss the axe throwing and corn maze!

Colleen H.

Yelp
I don't award one-stars too often, but Jack's certainly deserves it. Tickets were expensive ($30 for a Saturday late afternoon) and every single thing cost additional money. One person could easily spend over $50 for a subpar experience. The place is essentially one giant Instagram background. Tons of photo spots, but anything else cost a lot extra. Drinks were comparable to Chicago cocktail prices, but these were premade and I think should have been less. Corn maze was more of a corn whirl - just one loop you can walk in and out of. Stayed only for a half hour and the group resolved to never go back. Tons of other great pumpkin spots outside the city. Avoid this one unless you have money to burn.
google avatar

Caroline B.

Yelp
Don't come as just a couple/duo unless you're super confident in asking people to take your photo lol. Love potion cocktail was mid, but the maze was fun. Just overall not worth the price
google avatar

Brennen E.

Yelp
Super fun and cute. Lots of photo opportunities, snacks and cocktails. Enjoyed the axe throwing.
google avatar

Yelp
Oh wow if you're a self absorbed millennial or Z gen and only care to get drunk off your ass and take a million selfies this is the place for you!!! If you don't want to drive to a REAL pumpkin patch and stay in the city this is also the place for you.... Nice staff and ok drinks ($13 a drink, $4 soda and water!!) but it's so expensive!!! Seriously NOT worth the price... I'm glad I brought my 5 year old niece once but I'll never come back to this BS of a pumpkin patch!! Be prepared to spend huge $$ oh and parking is a damn nightmare or pay $20 to park!!! PS if you are unfortunately bringing your family get there at 4-5p by the time we left at 6:15 it was drunk and annoying people trying to do their corn maze walk with WhiteClaw in hand while trying to take selfies!! Seriously do yourself a favor and drive to the burbs!!! Especially if you have a family do it for them!!!
google avatar

Travis T.

Yelp
Cute place for photo ops but a little smaller than I'd expected for the price. The corn maze was fun despite being pretty straightforward. The drinks were pretty good but seemed pretty weak. It's a fun place to grab some fall photos, and I really respect the challenge it must be to make an outdoor corn field environment somewhere as huge as Chicago. There were some beautiful views of the skyline, which were kind of neat backdrops. I'd recommend this place for locals, but it's definitely not something I'd make a trip to see again.
google avatar

Elsa G.

Yelp
For all of you that are looking for a cute Halloween Instagram picture, this is the place to go! Jack's Pumpkin Pop-Up comes around during the fall season every year. I believe for most of the year, it is just an empty parking lot. But, during this time of year, it becomes festive with twinkling lights, pumpkins gallore, tons of photo opportunities, a corn maze, and fun drinks. Now, let me say the price of admission is steep especially if you are looking for more than just cute photos. Would recommend going on a weekday as ticket prices are lower. The pumpkins are overpriced, highly recommend going to your local grocery store instead. The corn maze was not all that exciting, especially because there was generally one path and it was not that big. Not much else to do unless you want to spend more money on a fortune teller or carnival games. That being said... I did overall have a great time here. I came with a big group and we had such a fun time taking photos at all the different spots. I didn't try any of the alcoholic drinks but the hot apple cider and the apple cider donuts really hit the spot. Its worth going if you want to get into the fall spirit!
google avatar

Troy B.

Yelp
Cool experience for all ages. Lots of different photo opportunities throughout the pop-up. Nice fall festive adult libations. The entire staff throughout were friendly. Worth a visit.
google avatar

Mirella K.

Yelp
I don't know why the reviews are as low as they are on here. Jack's is super fun!! I've been there twice - both years it rained, and they were really accommodating and both times they gave everyone free passes to come back. Granted it's not some legit pumpkin farm with a petting zoo and fresh market etc, but it's cute and well done for a pumpkin patch in the city. Jack's consists of picture stations and backdrops, bars, a little corn maze, various carnivalesque games, and axe throwing. It's really just a place to drink and take cute pictures, we wanted to play the games but weren't able to because of the rain. Overall I'd recommend coming here for cute fall pictures and getting drinks with friends!!
google avatar

Olivia S.

Yelp
I will start off by saying the positives. This place has really great fun Halloween food and drinks. It also is a great place to take photos! I will say it is very overpriced you pay $50 for one drink and a corn maze. This doesn't include food or anything else in pop-up. The corn maze is very small. As I understand this is a pop-up it seems like it's been around for awhile and has so much potential. Would be awesome if they had more things to offer like a haunted house, hay ride, etc. Also when taking pictures there's also always a line. A good idea would be if they had some staff members who are able to take photos of people so you don't have to ask random people and will make the lines go by quicker.
google avatar

Thanh T.

Yelp
Generally entertaining. Lots of photo opportunities! Small corn maze. The usual carnival games and axe throwing. No warm beverage options? Apple cider? Hot chocolate? +20% online ticket purchase fees $25 for parking
google avatar

Paige D.

Yelp
It was cute, I appreciated the amount of work the artists must have put into making each of the scenes. It was fun to go right before sunset and get the full experience both day and night and seeing the skyline over all the fall decor. There were multiple activities for families and for adults, just be willing to pay for each as an add-on. To me, it seemed like a great spot for family pictures.
google avatar

Bailey T.

Yelp
It's okay. They have some cute photo spots and good drinks. I ordered fall in love but my friends got the other seasonal ones and they were all good. I kinda knew what to expect before I came from reading reviews. I enjoyed the axe throwing!
google avatar

Tequila W.

Yelp
Just got home from this. Absolute waste of money. I paid $45 ($37+ fees) for a ticket to get inside which included the maze. The maze was simple just a bunch of right and left turns. So muddy btw bring boots! They had snacks and overpriced drinks. I ordered a walking taco (Doritos with cheese and meat) and it was $13. I was there for 1hr and 45mins and I can confidently say that it is not worth it at all. It is an overpriced instagram photo op place. If you want something more in the spirit of Halloween I suggest you go elsewhere. This place is trash and you too may feel bamboozled and scammed.

Yelp
Jack's pop up was something we had been planning for several months. We were excited to go! While we went mid-October, it was already really chilly (which may have been due to the changes in the Chicago weather than anything else). Regardless, since we couldn't change our tickets, we tried our best to bundle while still looking nice for photographs. When we got there, it was already packed. Our ticket time was about 6:15pm, so we were surprised to see the rush. It was also a weekend day, which might have accounted for it. We got in pretty quickly (after it took some time to find parking in the area), and began our photo adventures. Unfortunately, some of the lines for the backgrounds were quite long and the busier it got later in the evening, the longer all the line got too. It became colder as the evening progressed, so we decided to get something warm, but it took 40 mins standing in the cold to get a couple of hot chocolates. Nonetheless, we got some nice photographs with a few backgrounds. The colors came out nicely on an iPhone (for those who know how to photograph with background lighting), but there were a couple of props we missed simply due to the long lines there. I'd go again and would recommend the same time for the lighting to others, but would just hope that the weather is nicer next time around.

Piper S.

Yelp
Played the same 10 songs on repeat-it made me feel like I was losing my mind. This isn't even an exaggeration, like the music was genuinely on a 15-20 min loop. The games and photo ops were fun but the music was ruining it all for me.

Rob J.

Yelp
Overpriced, parking prices were not even posted! I Found out once I entered the parking lot, that it would be 45$. Once inside, it was just fixtures for pictures. The special drinks were decent, but felt under poured. Had one bartender who wore the tightest shirt possible, begging to know if we were going to tip him in cash or card before he even poured our drink! Reluctantly gave him a dollar for simply putting ice in a cup, and pressing the lever on the drink mix. No effort or skill, and he was begging to be tipped. The game stations were okay, but they were clearly so short staffed that you would have to wait for one of the employees to leave another station so that you could use your carnival ticket. Will most likely never go again, unless the pricing is cut in half. Don't believe these 5 star reviews, this place is very underwhelming.

Sam J.

Yelp
Terrible parking and waiting experience. Over an hour in line despite buying tickets online. Also have to pay $50 to park. Not worth it

Endless G.

Yelp
Over priced and super janky. Wouldn't let my kids on those rides. Total crapshow. They don't even pay their workers or give them breaks. Stat far far away

s F.

Yelp
I don't understand how people can pay 200-300 dollars and that's being generous. For background photos, two booths for drinks and over priced pumpkin picking and axe throwing. Please if you need to give someone money send me some. You can go to soooo many other places that have these things and spend less. Do better.
google avatar

Ali S.

Yelp
Truly one of the biggest rip offs ever. If you are vain and plan on just taking 3 thousand photos in front of a bunch of different tacky Halloween scenes, then this is the place for you. $40 per person to get in which included nothing. Not even a pumpkin. $16 cocktails and $11 for a can of MODELO. I'm not one to complain but this place is truly stealing money from people. OH! And a $5 shitty apple donut. I don't even think an actual good donut like Stan's or do rite or anywhere charges $5 for a donut. $20 parking too! Awesome! Don't go! I beg of you
google avatar

Romana Y.

Yelp
On an impromptu visit, we bought tickets for the entry+corn maze + 1 drink + 1 Apple Doughnut + 1 pumpkin... each ticket for us was about $75. We get inside and realize it was a pop-up dream for the social media influencers. Everywhere we looked we saw people snapping photos of themselves. The autumn decor for photo ops drew in the crowds; aside from photo ops, there was little to do. We did the corn maze, ate a stale doughnut, had apple cider, and took home our pumpkins. All in all, far from worthy of $160.
google avatar

Sandeep C.

Yelp
Ummm it might be worth going once? Basically it's a big Instagram fly trap for millennials. Be prepared to lose over a hundred in tickets, drinks and parking for a brief experience. Impressive "set design" but you won't like it if your not into impromptu photo shoots. If you can sneak a flask into a real pumpkin patch, that's gonna be a lot better lol
google avatar

Callie B.

Yelp
Know what to expect: You're paying for a photo-op pumpkin patch experience. If you want to experience fall vibes while drinking and taking Instagram photos all in Chicago, come here!! If you want a more authentic pumpkin patch experience, I hope you have a car to make it to the suburbs of Chicago, Indiana or Wisconsin. All the cocktails were surprisingly strong and tasty. The moonshine cocktail was my fave. The props were super cute and the lighting was perfect. We came right before sunset to see the spooky transition. Definitely felt like Halloweentown. Yes, it was a bit pricy for the experience. We were in and out within one hour. Knocked a star for the lack of food. Big disappointment and missed opportunity on Jack's! We left hungry because we didn't want cafeteria style, foil-wrapped burgers. We didn't bother with the axe throwing or carnival games but the setup was cute. We got lucky and found street parking. There was plenty around to be honest. I could imagine needing to purchase a Spot Hero on a busier date in October. Reminder: Make sure to TIP bartenders and the sweet employees that help you take photos!!
google avatar

Dominique R.

Yelp
I've seen this pop up being featured on many Chicago pages so I knew I had to go see it. I looked up reviews and they were not very good so when I went I wasn't expecting much based on reviews. I really enjoyed the event. I bought the 2 drinks plus admission ticket online. The place is decorated very nicely for many Instagram photo opportunities. There are 4 full bars with arcade games, axe throwing, fortune telling, food trucks and a corn maze. This place is great for a date night or just something to do with your Friends that is seasonal to do. It is pricey but definitely worth it. I got the boozy hot chocolate and the hocus pocus drink. I wish it was a little warmer when I went but otherwise was very festive.
google avatar

Shirley P.

Yelp
It's the second year my husband and I came here for a date. We enjoy the outdoors, especially when it's decorated with pumpkins while being lively and Instagrammable. This year, they definitely added some new things to the pop up (i.e axe throwing and some of the games reminds me of the carnival where you can win a prize). I'd recommend buying your admission tickets online in advance, and when you get to the venue -- you can always opt to purchase drink tickets etc. It's not an actual pumpkin patch on a farm with animals, but it definitely lives up to the hype for a pop up. I appreciate them coming up with creative decorations and changing it up every year to keep the crowd coming back and excited. I'd recommend coming here at least once, and take in the fall/pumpkin theme vibes.

Yelp
I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I went; we went with a couple friends and at first glance, it looked small and like it was primarily a limited bar with lots (and lots, and lots) of photo booth opportunities. Some were clever, others a little raunchy (see the "Corn Star" setup...), and others yet classic. There seemed to be photo ops for everyone depending on your interest. Our favorite part was the corn maze. There were lots of different places to explore - I loved the hidden bar deep in the maze and the little spooky house hidden deep within the maze. However, the corn stalks were a little worse for wear when we went. The food and drink prices were fairly reasonable, but if you wanted to do any other activities beyond the corn maze and photo booths, you'd have to shell out even more money on top of your ticket price. In the end, we did receive a free medium size pumpkin with our ticket price. We picked out our pumpkins and were really excited to bring them home and only realized when carrying them home that we could poke our fingers straight through because they were rotten. We had fun, but I wouldn't say this is anything to go to a second time. The value for the money simply did not exist.

Yelp
First visit here taking my 8 month old son. After I got the ticket I regretted it after hearing what a crowded mess it can be. We came during an off hour and everything was fantastic... Starting with the free parking in front. Staff was super nice, quick check in and everything inside was gorgeous! The displays were extravagant and not cheep/cheesy. I was impressed and will be back for sure.

Yelp
I love this place! My friends and I come here every year. It's so festive and fun and there are a lot of great photo opportunities. The staff is super friendly, especially Carly, who is so helpful and always provides excellent customer service.

Yelp
This is my second time going to jacks. I went two years ago at night so it was cool to go during the day this time. Day was perfect for our girls day and night would be great for a date night! My ticket included admission, a medium pumpkin and a drink all for 50 dollars with fees and tax and I think it was worth it. Lots of Instagram photo opportunities and a great way to celebrate fall! There was a mini corn maze included in the admission which was cool. I wouldn't recommend for a family as there isn't much for kids, but a girls day definitely!

Yelp
Alright, here it comes: Jack's Pumpkin Pop-Up is fun!* *If you come with a group of fun people **If you have a few before and Uber to/from ***If you go absolutely nuts for all the fall things I'm all in on embracing the seasons, especially when that season is fall, the actual most wonderful time of the year. If you don't get out and go to things like this and get some awesome pics along the way, did fall even happen? When our group came it was a weeknight and not that busy at all and getting in was a breeze. The bar area left some to be desired; not many cocktails but more or less mixers like you'd find in college along with some overpriced Miller Lites and whatnot. I made a cider and whiskey combo that had an extra charge from our drink coupon, but it was solid. I do feel like the space could use a few more interactive elements. Ever see those selfie photobooth stations with iPads and lights where you can get group photos both printed or streamed to FB? Something like that would be cool. I think where the bad reviews hit this spot is that there isn't a ton to do outside of the corn maze and photo areas. All in all, we had a good time here, but if Jack decided to take his money and never come back, I wouldn't miss his pop-up either.

Yelp
The ticket for the last hour of the last day of this event is a scam compared to other similar Halloween events. For anyone interested in this event for next year or even other events from this welovepopups.com company, you need to be noted and consider the following points First, this event has a game called Axe throwing. After tried, I found its REAL Axe, which chopped wood chips all around the ground. Before I played, the event staff asked me to scan a QR code to fill a waiver form. I told the staff I did not have data and if the event has a wifi. I was told that the event has no wifi but I can play. So I played it without signing waiver form. The waiver code scan is a sign of dangerous level. And there are quite a few kids in the event. The event area is not large enough to have kids far enough. So this company should remove this game from any events allowing kids to enter. Or anyone bringing kids to the events with this game should seriously consider the dangerous level and potential risk taken. Second, the ticket is just for entry and does not include any games inside: additional pay for each game. Besides, games are regular playground games without much relating to seasonal festivals, so you can play any of these games in other places with much cheaper prices or you might even can play them in your house backyard without any costs. Third but not last, no themes for this event, even it's seasonal event. So this one star is given to pumpkin faces with lights inside, which is the only scene in the area I felt this festival season

Yelp
This place is a total scam. I bought 4 tickets, which included entry to the corn maze and 1 drink. The total for all 4 tickets + taxes & fees was $190.04, so rather pricey for what it is. I noticed on their website that on Friday, October 13th, for 1 night only out of the whole season, they transform into a "Scream Park" at night. Basically, it's like a theme park horror night, where the corn maze becomes a scary walk-through. I called the phone number listed on their website two times, and both times the automated customer service rep on the other end told me that the times on your tickets are *entry* times, and guests are welcome to stay however long they wish after entry. I bought my 4 tickets for 10/13 at 7pm, rightfully anticipating that everything would be as advertised. The next day I revived this email saying that my tickets were no longer valid, and the park would be closing between 7pm and 8pm to accommodate the Scream Park that night. Nowhere on the website, or on the phone, was it mentioned that the park would be closing for that hour, nor that the Scream Park was an additional fee. If the park was going to be closed at that time, there is no reason why I should have been able to buy a ticket for that time. There was also no option to be refunded, only to either pay more money (for a ticket to an attraction I already bought), or to reschedule my entire visit. I called the customer service line twice to verify that my party could stay as long as we wanted following entry. They attempted to scam me out of more money after I had already purchased my ticket. I was able to buy tickets for 7pm, per their website and guidance, but was told AFTER purchase that this wouldn't be possible. I sent an email asking for acknowledgement from them that the events described as above actually happened, and they wouldn't provide it. I'm debating taking this to the Better Business Bureau, because this is disgusting customer service and borderline unethical. I am severely disappointed by this business and it's becoming increasingly obvious this is a slimy business that takes advantage of its customers. The phone number is also entirely automated, and I stayed on the call in hopes of speaking to a real employee only for it to be disconnected. Don't waste your money here. It's too expensive for what it is, but I was willing to forgive for the chance to have some Halloween fun. Then this happened. I'd get a refund if I could, but it seems that's not a possibility. Shame on you, Jack's.

Yelp
Alright, get ready for my unpopular opinion...... my friends and I had a blast at this place! Aside from the chaos that consumed the line outside, inside this place was like an adult playground: everything from beer, to wine, to boozy apple ciders and hot cocoas, with plenty of opportunities for photo-ops to match. Trying to get in, however, was an absolute nightmare. Completely unorganized: there were two separate lines that no one knew what they were for. Even when asking the attendants outside, 'is this for purchasing tickets or for people who pre-purchased tickets?' they looked just as confused, and shrugged. Alrighty..... Once we finally did make it inside however, the site was larger than I had anticipated. We started off taking photos in their mannnyyy set-ups, from pumpkins, to old tractors, dazzling string lights, larger than life chairs, and pretty much everything in between. The online ticket purchasing is a bit confusing, some in my group were able to get GA tickets that included just entry (for around $23), but when we checked there were only two ticket options: one that included two wines and another that included only one cocktail, both around $31. When I went online recently to check tickets, there are now three options for tickets, all of which are not outlined very clearly and none of which offer just GA entry. Strange. The ticket that we purchased included two wine drinks, and the only white offered was pinot grigio. The maze inside this place was like a lot of people have mentioned, small, but still fun to walk around with your boozy hot chocolate and your friends, stopping for the butterfly wings and other fun instagramable-set-ups. The food trucks were also outstanding and well-priced. Quick shout out to the taco truck, I couldn't find a restaurant name listed ANYWHERE. But I am still dreaming of that elote- $4 for a very large portion, and add only $1 for chorizo, and $2 for steak. YUM. I do wish I was able to get boozy hot chocolate with my wine ticket and just pay the overage, but the bartenders said I would still have to pay the full amount (it ranged anywhere from $10-$15 depending on your liquor). Overall, will I go again? No... because once you go, you've seen it all. But would I recommend you to check it out? YES, come with a big group, get ready for some photos, and don't you dare pass up the elote. :)

Yelp
A MUST GO THIS HALLOWEEN SEASON!!! I had family come into town this weekend and needed something unique to show them. What a way to show them this exciting aspect of Chicago! It was raining a little but that didn't stop us and didn't stop this amazing venue from opening. We counted 4 bars, 2 which you have to find by making your way through the corn maze. There are some amazing picture opportunities too! There are Halloween themed carnival games for the kiddos. Great place to take the kids so you can have a drink while they enjoy the haystacks or to take a group of friends so you can grab a drink and get that perfect instagram story. The bar selection is great. Just short of a full bar but there's beer, cider and mixed drinks. No cash but you can buy drink tickets and use cards at the bar. Drinks are a little expensive but it's about what you would pay if you went to a nearby bar. The staff is very friendly and personable.
