Had to try Naperville’s best rated burger! Went Sunday afternoon about 5pm. Found parking out in front and found seats inside right away. The place was bustling with happy customers. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip for an appetizer. The dip was delicious! Enough for 4 to share, and not get too full before the main course. I ordered the Bourbon Pear Burger, with a salad. The burger did not disappoint. Salad was great too. One person in our party said he always orders salad here, they are his favorite. There are several choices on how to have your burger served. From what I remember you can have a plain bun, wheat bun, pretzel roll, lettuce wrap, or even as a burger bowl. The menu offers several choices for burger toppings as well. They have other protein options on the menu, in case burgers are not your thing. Definitely a place I’ll have to dine at again!

Google
All I can say is wow. Amazing burger. Perfectly cooked to order. Medium rare. Crispy bacon. Cheddar cheese. Tatar tots. Will definitely recommend and will be back to try more from the menu.

Google
The food was incredible! The burgers are NO joke and the fries are delicious and fresh. Reasonable prices for both drinks and food. Nice cocktail menu. Great appetizers, some of the best cheese curds I have ever had. Would highly recommend trying! I never would have expected it being so great.

Google
Was delicious, will be back. The bacon dates were amazing and they give you quite a bit, the burger was flavorful and unique from any other burger I had. I got the goat cheese fried tomato burger for lunch and I loved it. We ate so much we actually skipped dinner because we were so full, so the prices might seem kind of high but I feel it is justified for the amount of food you get and the quality. Good service as well.

Google
We were here as my friend recommended. The CHARLESTON WRAP( fried chicken - lettuce tomato - cucumber mozzarella - honey) was delicious. We didn't try any sweet things here. It is a little early for us, but we will come back here again.

Google
The best burgers! We tried burgers in a bowl this time and it was just as good, maybe even better. Their wraps are also amazing. Can't go wrong with this spot! I make sure I hit it everytime I'm home.

Google
Tasty burger, ice cold 🍺, good vibe. It’s located in downtown Naperville, expect overcrowding.

Google
cool place. try to go when it’s not too busy if u want better service. seems a little short staffed sometimes considering the amount of people and wait times for ordering and getting the check. other than that i think it’s a really cool vibe in there.

Yelp
I really love the food here, everytime I leave I am already thinking about what I want to try next on the menu. The burgers and French fries are always amazing. Salads are beauty and delicious. * Sweet Potato Fries are Fire. * I'm trying the Spinach & Quinoa Salad next or the Country Bloomin' Burger! The ambience is basically like eating elevated bar food in a comfy cave pub. They play sports, music, and make aperol spritz drinks - the staff is really friendly. I wish they would move into the old Jimmy's/ Bevs/ nut why ruin a good thing!

Yelp
Chicken wrap was a little soggy. The fries were ok. The artichoke dip was actually really good (maybe a bit too much cheese on top, but I'd try it again). Service was average in regards to timing.

Yelp
I had really high hopes for this place based on the what I heard and reading the reviews from others. We arrived for an early dinner on a Wednesday night and were able to walk right in and grab a table near the back on the first floor. (It's self seating no hostess) keep in mind it is definitely a pub so it's dim/dark, woody and a pretty large bar, summer specials posted around the restaurant. My colleagues ordered the nachos and fried pickles to start. The nachos were a nice treat they had a Hawaiian twist chicken and bbq sauce which gave them a nice flavor and healthy portion. I'm not a pickle fan so I passed but both of them loved and commented on how good the pickles were. I decided to order the bowl version of the pear with chicken and truffle tots. Everything was downhill from there. My food came out in the smallest bowl full of the Romaine lettuce cores, a full chicken breast with goat cheese spread across and glaze on the side it was impossible to cut in the tiny bowl. The glaze was so thick and honestly I was just confused. The tator tots were plain tots covered with mounds of cheese... it was all just a mess and after I attempted to cut the chicken in the tiny bowl and things started to spill out I gave up. Nobody came to check on us. And when they did and didn't ask if we were ok or take notice that I hadn't eaten I was ready to go. One person out of three was satisfied (ate every morsel). The bill was paid and we left. The place picked up and there was a wait when we left, can't say I would return.

Yelp
Ok! First of all, downtown Naperville is its own vibe. From the Christmas lights to the art in the walls, it reminds me of a Hallmark town. Jackson Ave is a cute Pub right off the main road in downtown Naperville. The red brick added to the aesthetic of the building. The entry way is small, and on a Friday night, it's packed by 7pm. Tip 1, if you're going, go early! The burgers are amazing!! Although I didn't see fish and chips, the burgers sounded so phenomenal that I didn't care. I ordered the He'll Fire burger without the jalapeño and added caramelized onions instead. I also requested that it be wrapped in lettuce. As you can see from the photos, the presentation wasn't that great. My fries were old and we requested fresh ones. Tip 2, request fresh fries, they taste ten times better. The drinks were sub par. I probably wouldn't make this a place to stop by for drinks and conversation unless I loved beer. My friends ordered the Western burger on a pretzel bun and they stated that the bun was firm on top but soft and warm in the middle. The pretzel bun also had a nice taste. Most of us ordered our burger cooked medium, but the burgers were not pink in the middle at all. This wasn't a deal breaker as the burgers were still cooked well! If you have yet to try this Pub, go for lunch or stop by during your Christmas shopping, you will enjoy every bit of it!

Yelp
When I travel on business I search for places just like this - small, friendly staff and customers, close-knit feel. Oh, and good food and not pricey. Come in and hit the bar. Definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
Jackson Ave Pub is a genuine jewel in downtown Naperville! I love a great burger joint and this place has it all! The burgers, appetizer and other menu choices are great! The draft beer selection and full bar are excellent. The atmosphere and service round out a truly authentic pub dining experience.

Yelp
The best burgers! Service is so friendly too!! It's sort of family friendly...we highly suggest you try Jackson Ave Pub

Yelp
Located in downtown Naperville. You can find parking in either the two parking garages or they have outdoor parking lots. I was in the mood for gourmet burgers to satisfy the craving. I came across this place after a quick search. Restaurant itself isn't big but it is roomy. We came for lunch so it wasn't too busy. We got seated right away and we decided to try a couple of the burger creations. We went with the fried pickle burger with truffle parmesan fries and bulleit bourbon burger. We also had an appetizer but it is no longer on the menu, so I'll skip that. I would definitely come back to try some of the other concoctions they have. -fried pickle burger came with cheddar, pepper jack, fried pickles, tomato, and chipotle aioli. It was cooked medium rare. It's a 5. Very tasty burger. All of the ingredients paired together nicely. Those fried pickles provided a nice crunch. Those truffle fries are the icing on top. Not too salty, prepared wonderfully. -bulleit bourbon burger came with swiss, arugula, bacon, sweet caramelized onions, and bulleit bourbon honey glaze. Cooked medium rare. That honey glaze was the star of the show, added a litty zesty flavor. That's a 5.

Yelp
Food passable, service acceptable+, ambiance - WAYYYY TOO NOISY for me. Prolly won't go back.

Yelp
Nice place. From out of town. Servers were gracious but mainly paid attention to the locals. Food was under cooked.

Yelp
Best burger in Naperville. Also, best tots, fries and local beers on tap. Speaking of local, also locally owned by grads of NNHS so YES they care and have such a great spot for drinks w friends, lunch or dinner. Service is spectacular- everyone always willing to help and take care of anything you need. Sports always on the tvs, but the atmosphere is the BEST. Every burger on the menu (which are all great) can have grilled chicken as a substitute. Tonight I actually had the chicken/swiss/tots and am uncomfortably full...and I brought home most of the tots. We had the breadsticks (delicious) and spinach dip (yum) for apps....only because kids beat us there... I love that Solomon Oath is always on tap and tonight's was a winner - small wave city.

Yelp
I don't get it. Second try. First attempt mediocre. Second attempt ....Cold jalapeño poppers..... please try harder. French fries great. Fish sandwich ok. Service good. I don't get the 4.4. It's ok.

Yelp
Best burger I've had in Naperville hands down... the drinks were beautiful and tasty. The spicy tatertots were a great app. The burger was my absolute favorite. Finally a good burger place in Naperville! My full tummy thanks you Great service as well & speedy quick!

Yelp
This is a nice pub for lunch, dinner, and some drinks located in downtown Naperville. A good number of beers on tap, wines, and cocktails to choose from. There's your typical, modern American fare like burgers, salads, and tacos all of which are super filling. I went with the loco shrimp tacos which were topped with this cilantro lime coleslaw that wasn't too bad. The grilled shrimp were kissed by fire just right all on a sturdy flour tortilla. I ordered sweet potato fries, which are always a win anywhere I can get them. I had a sangria which was pleasing on the hot summer day, but it didn't seem very rounded out. Maybe the fruit wasn't that good. Jackson Ave Pub does bar food right and is a good option for a couple of people, but keep in mind, it's cozy here.

Yelp
This was one of those "I'm in a mood for a GOOD burger" type of nights. After seeing reviews and pictures, I was SOLD. My partner and I stopped in for a bite after shopping in the area. Definitely was not disappointed! Our server was attentive. The restaurant is a little on the smaller side, but wow, a hidden gem! For sure coming back in the future 10/10!

Maureen N.

Yelp
Wow, what happened to this place? It used to be so fun and clean. Now, it's messy and the staff was crabby and inattentive at best. Waitress rolled her eyes while I was choosing my side to my burger. Not one staff member smiled at us or at any other patron while we were there. People were waiting at the door to be seated because there were dirty tables and not one staff member moved quickly to get them cleared. Poor folks waited patiently and were treated coldly when seated. There was such a negative vibe from the staff. Too bad because this used to be a fun place to go. Won't be returning.

Yelp
Absolutely cannot go wrong with their burgers and fries here! Delicious and no place in the area does it like Jackson Ave pub. Would absolutely recommend. Seating is intimate and service is great!

Morgan A.

Yelp
I went there today for dinner, and have been here many times before. The food has always been good, but not the problem. I ordered an appetizer and received that fairly quick. Was hoping to put in a dinner order, but proceeded to wait for 30 minutes for our server to check in on us. At the point I walked up to her and asked for the check, to whhich her response was "where you at". wouldn't recommend going there. There are other restaurants in downtown naperville with good food and people who actually enjoy their job.

Yelp
Jackson Ave is our go-to spot when were in town (Naperville). While often busy on a Friday/Saturday night, this Thursday night we went wasn't bad and we were sat immediately. The atmosphere has a ton of small pub energy, which makes it fun! The beer list is always really great, with local, national, and domestic options. I'm a craft guy, so I always enjoy trying one of the newer, seasonal, local beers. And the burger list they have is top notch. Every one we've had is always stellar. This time we tried the Fried Pickle burger. While I wish the fried pickle flavor came through a bit more, it's hard to complain about a tasty burger in general. Others we've liked are the California, the Hacienda, the Sunny Side, and the Western. Burgers always come with a great portion of really tasty fries (think fries like Five Guys). Ultimately a great spot to watch a game or grab a bite with friends.

Yelp
BEST burgers and a very solid veggie burger option. It's a bummer they don't take reservations as the wait can get long, but it usually goes fast and plenty of places to grab a drink nearby while you wait. It's relatively kid friendly, but most of the tables are high tops so young children do need to use their higher high chairs.
google avatar

Andrew M.

Yelp
Tried this spot for the first time last month after a friend of mine moved out of the city, and I plan on stopping here every time I go to Naperville. Love the atmosphere and the service was great. I wish I got the name of our server because she was extremely nice and attentive, despite being busy. I went with the classic and it was one of the better pub-style burgers I've had in years; it was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. It's easy to see why this place is often regarded as the best burger joint in town. Can't wait to get back!

Yelp
Ordered delivery (through Uber Eats). Two plain Cheeseburgers, one goat cheese with onion strings added. Poppers and dates also ordered. Burger meat was excellent. As one of the plain burger eaters said "you can tell it is high quality meat." Appetizers were mighty tasty. Order milk if you get the poppers.

Yelp
Everything about the food at this relatively small bar in downtown Naperville worked for my family. Kids meals were great (grilled cheese and the mini burger), the beer cheese served with the warm pretzels, and the Diablo burger had a good amount of heat. And all of those fries and tater tots were great. But they don't serve dessert here!! Sure, there are plenty of dessert places nearby, but I prefer to wait in line once to get into a place and sit down with the kids. On a busier summer evening, waiting for a table at Jackson Ave Pub (they don't take rezzies), then waiting in line elsewhere with young kids, is a no-fly zone. Offer dessert, and this is a five-star review. Otherwise, looking forward to a return visit for the food!

Yelp
I love this pub!! They have an excellent staff with very fast and friendly service and are very accommodating. The food and drinks are amazing! They have a variety of microbreweries for selections of beer as well as domestic. I had the Diablo burger on a pretzel bun that was infused with succulent spices and toppings added for an overall positive experience. I haven't had a pub burger like this in 20 years, especially being a world traveler, for an extra couple bucks, I added the home cut Parmesan fries which topped everything off and washing down with a microbrewery beer. I am definitely coming back to try more of their food items on the menu!

Yelp
Had been wanting to try this place located in Naperville. We luckily found a table while other diners sat at the bar. There's nothing special about the decor (dive like) however, we came for the burgers and they did not disappoint. Our waiter was okay, not very personable. He ordered our drinks and burgers (1/2 pound) and fries. The burgers were cooked to order and my sweet potato fries were delicious! However there is an 2.00 up-charge for the sweet potato fries. The only complaint is that the air conditioner was too high! Eat quick or your food will get cold!!

Nancy R.

Yelp
ABSOLUTLY amazing! Fabulous gumbo, top notch burgers and parm truffle house made fries. Ordered burgers med rare and served fresh hot cooked to perfection!
google avatar

Christine M.

Yelp
Delicious bacon wrapped dates and burgers! Good service will definitely be back! (Please note it is a relatively small pub, so do not plan to go with a large group.)
google avatar

Dusty S.

Yelp
The burgers are good, and the tots are good. Over all mid. Loud and often bad music, drinks are okay. To get better they need to improve the vibe, think about switching to beef tallow in the frier because the fries are nasty..
google avatar

Vladimir K.

Yelp
Very small place, but good food. Need to keep secret but college town. As niece says, it's a bussin'.
google avatar

Ronda F.

Yelp
Just walked it. Looks like the place has good food because all but two tables were taken. It's family friendly and I seen a few burgers come and and they look big enough to share. I'll post pictures soon. The drunken Pear burger, on the pretzel roll was delicious. I really like the goat cheese it was really creamy. And the tart of the balsamic was really nice. I would definitely come back and try something new.
google avatar

Meg H.

Yelp
Best burgers in Naperville, hands down. No contest. The menu has a huge variety sure to please everyone--while burgers are their speciality, there's plenty more to choose from. My favorite is the California burger, with cheddar, avocado, ranch and bacon. Another delicious option is the Drunken Pear burger...goat cheese, arugula, pear with a balsamic glaze. The flavors create perfect harmony for your tastebuds. And did I mention the sides? So many options.....hand tossed fries, TOTS, sweet potato fries, Cajun fries or my personal favorite: truffle fries. I've had them all--and you can't choose wrong.

Yelp
Great place, burgers are excellent, Chile is very good, the Nachos are different but good. It's just an all around good place with great food. Staff, I hope they have more staff, they always seem short, they do try hard though. So patience is a must.
google avatar

Fernando M.

Yelp
Service was good, very attentive. Food was ok. Nice overall. A bit dark but it is a bar.

Yelp
I went for a bite to eat with my wife and son, I liked the nice place, there is a children's menu, a large selection of burgers, a lot of TVs, I show a lot of sports, I liked the service , the burgers were unforgettable))))

Yelp
Great food and burgers. Spinach Dip is fire too Friendly staff, Cosy atmosphere, great place for a bite and a drink.

Yelp
1st time to visit and dine this location. Lunch time on a Sunday. The bacon wrapped spicy tots with garlic aioli dip were tasty. The Primer Plus and Fried Pickle burgers were great! Pickle slaw & cucumber salad sides are perfect compliments to the great tasting burgers. The service was attentive and multiple servers checked on us, which is rarely seen but appreciated. We loved The Main Street Bar & Grill in St Charles (was owned by the same owners) and dined there often until it closed in 2021. Same great burgers and drinks! Definitely will be back, worth the drive from St Charles.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised to find this hidden gem. Reminds of a Chicago pub. My husband and I dined w our two girls under 6. Kids menu (big portion size) high chairs and changing table were a huge bonus. We orders the mini quesadillas, Mac n cheese, classic burger, tater tots and the best wings around. The atmosphere was family friendly and true to the pub feel. Our server Sarah was great and so were the rest of the staff friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back and with friends. It's a great neighborhood bar!
google avatar

Timothy B.

Yelp
This was a very good place to eat on a mid Saturday afternoon. The food was awesome. We had several appetizers that were awesome, the wings were the best. Nachos were good too. Service was great! People were friendly
google avatar

Katherine C.

Yelp
I like coming here for their burgers, a bit of a hidden gem for burgers in the downtown Naperville area. The place is on the smaller side so it can get crowded but we came at 6:30pm on a Sunday and found a spot just fine. This feels like a great chill bar place to hang out if I were in the area more. It can get loud from all the people in there but definitely a place to chill and have conversations while enjoying some beer and food. Would say it was pretty loud though so sometimes it was hard to hear the other person talking. The burger was enormous, I barely finished it and a quarter of the fries it came with. I would recommend the pretzel bun with whatever burger, their fries are pretty crispy as well. Service was really friendly and attentive even though there was a lot of people there, definitely a plus for this place.

Irish R.

Yelp
Still a great bar but wow the Food quality is going downhill. Get's a little worse every trip.
google avatar

Joan S.

Yelp
Great laid back smaller establishment for a great burger and even better fries. Prices on par for the area. Parking isn't the greatest but there are a few parking garages within a few blocks. The burgers were slightly overcooked but still juicy and delicious.
google avatar

Steve B.

Yelp
I was able to give Jackson Ave Pub. Given that it was Memorial Day today it took a little longer to arrive. I have to say I liked the ambiance once I arrived! The staff was really friendly and checked in a lot which was refreshing! The food was really good! I would suggest Jackson Ave Pub to anyone in the Naperville area!
google avatar

Larry P.

Yelp
Noisy sports bar feel. Thursday lunch for two, arriving just before noon. I tried the BBQ chicken flatbread, Ms had the Gumbo and a (huge) salad. Flatbread was tasty but over-cooked, with crispy-crunchy crust. Gumbo was flavorful and salad was very good. Service was quick and attentive, but I notice the place was crowded by 12:15. The server checked back with us several times, nice touch. This seems like a great burger bar, and when we go back I saw several burgers on the menu that I want to try.
google avatar

Danaka B.

Yelp
Great little place tucked away downtown. Exceptional staff and food. We had burgers with pretzel buns. Plus the best coleslaw ever!

Kathleen Z.

Yelp
Food and service are both excellent. There are a lot of fun innovated options on their menu!

Jim S.

Yelp
Great Burger! Would definitely go back if I was in the area. Service was a tad slow, but it looked like they may have been slightly short handed
google avatar

Sarah H.

Yelp
Small place, super loud. Food was okay, service was decent. My friend went into the sketchy single restroom and had to flush someone's vomit. Gross.
