Toast to Your Team at These Denver Sports Bars | Eater

"A Rockies-focused sports bar located directly across from Coors Field and decked out wall-to-wall with team memorabilia, offering an immersive baseball-watching experience on about 70 flat-screen TVs. The extensive menu includes eight burger options and a dozen wing sauces, and many guests pair a pint and a shot with a platter of fried game-day fare." - Vox Creative

Jackson’s is always a good time lol we went to the Rooftop Affair, which was like a promo event for some different businesses. The DJ was great and had all the early 2000s playing. One small thing I love is that it is really easy for uber and lyft drivers to find and drop you off at. They have multiple floors with a rooftop party area and a covered bar. I think Jackson’s is a great place to host events like this at, overall. I’ve not eaten there (that I can remember lol) but on our way out we saw some guys eating wings and they were smashing them….so that’s next on my list when I go back hahaha

Amazing people! Best burnt ends Mac and Cheese anywhere! Great seeing Josh and Dame again. Solid people. If you don't go to Jackson's while you're in Denver then you haven't gone to Denver. End of Story.

Google
Absolute gem! I visited Denver for a boys’ weekend with my two best friends. We went to this bar twice (Friday and Sunday). Food was great (and we almost ate the entire menu), the beer had a nice selection, and the mixed drinks were terrific. I am drinking NA beer and they offered Heineken zero and Sam’s hazy NA in bottles/cans as well as Athletic IPA on draft, which I’d never seen other than in cans. The place is clean, well lit, and has arious seating options (outside, inside tables, inside bar, separate room with more space, and upstairs). They have all the sports packages so we were able to watch the Red Sox game before we went to see the Rockies. But the best thing was our spectacular bartender Gary! Super attentive, knowledgeable about the area, good with good and drink recommendations. Bonus points for triple checking ingredients of menu items for dietary restrictions. He was a blast…bartenders often make or break an experience, and he genuinely made it for us!

Google
We love to go to Jackson’s for the Bills games upstairs. It’s always a great place for Bills fans in the city. My only complaint is I think the food is very overpriced for what you get. The sandwiches don’t come with anything and after tip they’re 20$. Would love some fries or something with that. Usually when we go we don’t bother ordering food we just stick to drinking. Go bills 🦬

Google
Best bar in Denver hands down. Best all around bar, best sports bar, and best bills bar in Denver. The wait staff is amazing and will treat you like family. Bills games on Sunday here are absolutely electric and they have a wide variety of beers and food options. The food is surprisingly good for a sports bar and will have you leaving satisfied!!! Jackson’s is the best of the best!

Google
Buffalo chicken sandwich had some kick to it! Fresh food and good flavors. The atmosphere was great! It's a huge place that sprawls around, up and outside. We didn't realize it until we had to look for the bathroom! Jackson's os a fun place with excellent vibes and energy. We were there before a Rockies game, and it was a great time. We will be back again next time in Denver.

Google
Nice bar and grill directly across the street from Coors field. Went with coworkers to celebrate a birthday. Downstairs is designed for eating and a bar area with booths, tables, and tvs. Upstairs is the Rooftop bar and two dance floor areas with a nice view of Coors Field. Can't speak on the quality of the food as we didn't order any, but the drinks we all had were quite flavorful! Would definitely go back to give the food a try.

Google
Lydia I think her name was…. Terrible! Did not check on the table had to get up twice to ask for things needed… just not a good experience and we work in service industry so I’m super relaxed when it comes to expectations and experience when I go out but she just was not good at all! Did not want to the tip I did.. although I did tip something to not be mad at myself but she didn’t even deserve that. Food was fine that’s where the one star goes for the kitchen.

Yelp
Dame was great! Very hospitable and great attitude. Thank you for great service late at night.

Yelp
Great pregame experience at Jackson's. Happy hour pitchers were a gear deal and food was tasty. Right across from Coors Field which is awesome!

Yelp
We came here for Rocky Mountain oysters, but the restaurant stopped serving them and didn't update the menu. Whatever....The tacos here weren't that good, actually they kinda sucked. BUT the chips here? Are amazing. Probably the saving grace for this place food-wise. Staff here is really friendly and attentive. Ambiance is great, and being here before and after the game would be pretty fun.

Yelp
This review is for Buffalo Bills fans only. I experienced Jackson's as a Bills Backer Bar and boy was it worth it. The entire second floor (inside and out) was Bills fans, and they had raffles, a DJ, and even Labatt's Blue on tap! It helped that the Bills won, but the vibe here as a Bills fan was home away from home, and when we are in Denver during a Bills game anytime in the future, we'll be at Jacksons!

Yelp
Haha! Jackson's is the stadium go-to bar for baseball games. And probablly any game during what ever season you are in! This is a mutil-level, multi bar , zillion TV. location that is just fun during sports seasons! Didnt eat here but going to go out on a limb and say- good bar food LOL! Jackson's is just a super fun time to enjoy watching whatever sports you need to watch!
google avatar

Alisa J.

Yelp
Convenient location right by the baseball stadium. Big patio space and upstairs rooftop area. Service is pretty good and good options for food and drinks. Overall think some other spots nearby are better but can't go wrong with Jackson's.
google avatar

Savanna R.

Yelp
This is a really fun spot. Great to visit before Rockies games, or for a game. We also visited for St. Patrick's day - it was crowded (to be expected) but we had a blast! They had a great DJ on the rooftop, and the staff were really friendly. We always enjoy our time here!

Yelp
If you're looking to sit at the bar and pregame before a Rockies game. Come here! If you're not looking for that, I would find something else... Went here with my in-laws and husband before a Rockies game and we were able to find a table right away by the bar. It was busy because of the game but service wasn't very great. Our server didn't come around very often and offered refills as we were about to leave. Food was average and small portions for the price. Sides are not included either so you have to pay extra to get a full meal. Like I said, great for a drink or two at the bar but would not return for dinner/food service.

Madeline W.

Yelp
if i could give 0 stars i would, this place is a fucking scam and the people who work here SUCK! they all have walkie talkies, but don't actually use them (so they all can tell you different rules).... the manager is such a dick and definitely shouldn't have his job.... doesn't care about his employees and clearly could care less about his job. place smells terrible and is not clean, probably not up to health code!! didn't bother to try food, probably as shit as their drinks and customer service!

Yelp
Tired of hearing how you are treating people. Happy to share more if it continues. The GMs favorite saying is you lie to your wife you don't lie to me.
google avatar

Savannah K.

Yelp
Went to Jackson's for Thursday Night Football. It was pretty chill -- a lot of TVs with indoor & outdoor seating. For as empty as it was, it took far too long to get drinks. They have some good drink deals but you have to go at the right time.
google avatar

Scott E.

Yelp
My happy LODO place pre Rockies baseball game. Nice bar area to mingle in, spacious rooftop bar, and cozy outdoor patio. Staff is courteous, helpful - and gosh dang it - pretty cool. Street tacos a must and the requisite Coors Light (when in Rome) to wash them down. This midwestern boy on his own for a few days from MN to watch baseball found a second home.

Ellen M.

Yelp
I occasionally go here for Florida Gator games and the food has never been that great but now they don't even include fries with their sandwiches/burgers (which are a RIDICULOUS $18). The Philly cheesesteak should have been much better for $18. It was SMALL, the meat was overcooked, and the bread was hard and crumbly. Another terrible food experience at Jackson's. Only the atmosphere and good service keep me coming back for Gator games. I would never choose this as a place to eat otherwise and will not be eating here again.
google avatar

Seth N.

Yelp
Oh. My. God this place is HUGE! Stopped by on St Patrick's Day and it was the right time to try it out lol. It was in a great location and had two gargantuan floors. I was legitimately surprised how massive it was on the inside. I didn't have any food but it all looked great. I think I counted (at least) 6 different bars, indoors and outdoors. All the servers were incredibly fast and had provided great service. We met a big group up there and had an outstanding time. Without a doubt will be going back sometime soon
google avatar

Joshua D.

Yelp
Terrible experience for my first time here to watch the Saturday games. For the hours I was at sitting at the bar, I was spoken to only 2 times; one to order a drink and fries, the other was to get the check. And both times I had to flag them down. Mind you, it was not busy the entire time. People literally sitting to my left and right were getting serviced and checked on as the day went on smoothly. When I was asking for the check, I asked if I did anything so no one would service me? I was told "Sorry. The fries are on the house." Cool? I'm no one, and they won't care but this will be my first and last time at Jackson's.
google avatar

Paige A.

Yelp
First time here last night and the music and crowd was a vibe however with that said. We knew drinks cost money after midnight and was willing to pay but the man next to me ordered 2 beers and , heard the lady say $7 so I figured my two vodka redbulls would be around that price no more than $10 especially with how small the cups were so I didn't pay attention. Today I see they charged me $20 for them and my bf even tipped her cash so ended up paying $30. I know damn well i got scammed, if not then the drinks are way too expensive. I'll drink water after 12 if I come back :(
google avatar

Tim S.

Yelp
Waitress disappeared for 30 minutes and came back 3 minutes after the "night menu" started. Oops. The night menu isn't that great. So they cut off the appealing food and then will not allow outside food in.

Yelp
THIS REVIEW IS FOR THEIR PARKING: I was going to a Rockies game during the week and was looking for parking. It was an evening game and I wanted parking that was as close as possible. I'd read other reviews bashing the cost of parking, but proximity to the ballpark was more important than cost. I pulled into the lot around 7:30 and found plenty of spots. I made note of my license place, walked to the sidewalk where there is a machine for paying, and used a credit card. I was pleasantly shocked to see the cost was TWENTY-FIVE dollars! Much less than others complained about. I grabbed my ticket, put it on my dashboard, and went to enjoy the game. After the game when I got back to my car I realized I never locked it. No problem! The lot was well lit and it's situated right next to the outdoor patio for the bar so there were plenty of people around making it is very secure.

Yelp
One of the best signs I've seen in Lodo. Great bar atmosphere, great drinks and good food! Bar staff is very friendly.

Yelp
Best sports bar in Denver by far. I've been multiple times for different sporting events and it's always a great experience. Food is really good and reasonably priced, especially for downtown Denver and the service is always excellent. If you are looking for a place to go before a Rockies game or to watch a sporting event, Jackson's is hard to beat.
google avatar

Katie Y.

Yelp
Can't recommend this sports bar enough. Such a cool vibe for all of the different sports teams. Food was okay.

Melissa H.

Yelp
Phenomenal. Doesn't get better for a sports bar. Attended the Mountain High Gator Club UF vs. FSU Gator Game. FSU fan was turned away and gave a 1 star review... what a joke.
google avatar

Cole K.

Yelp
My friend group attended the UFC fights on Jackson's balcony. It was INCREDIBLE. By far the best place to watch the fights. We were on the way to Toms Watch Bar and heard an eruption of sound from the rooftop. We decided to pivot and it was great!! The server Dame was amazing. He served the entire terrace and was attentive and punctual. 10/10 recommend for UFC fights. Dame is a legend and if you have the pleasure of him being your server, you won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Marianne H.

Yelp
Steph at the bar is amazing! She always knew when a refill was needed and had great conversations with the customers. I'd hire her in a heartbeat!

Lezlee P.

Yelp
great atmosphere for watching sports! Staff is friendly. we love the sliders and fries.

Yelp
Understaffed. Ordered food 40 minutes ago. I guess the complete restaurant ordered at the same time.

Diego G.

Yelp
They don't know what a real id looks like here it's so dumb. They didn't let me in after seeing my California ID, I showed them my passport too to prove that I'm of age and they still denied me. They claimed the id was fake and just started to become aggressive with me after I persisted to ask for a reason as to why my id was not "valid" and even denied me from being able to speak to the manager of the establishment at the time. Don't come here if you want to have fun, they don't hire people here who actually know how to do their job, I'm so disappointed with the staff and the so called "service" here.

Eva S.

Yelp
I've left a similar review before but this place did not accept my bf who is of age and the establishment would not tell me why. when we asked to speak to the owner they said they were busy with other things after denying him entry. this is absolutely absurd that this has happened twice and i actually will never be coming here again. there is no reason why this establishment should not accept a valid ID in Denver, and this is actually so disappointing. i do not advise anyone from out of state to come here because there is a 90-10% ratio that they will let you in. This place is actually trash, and it is so disappointing that they pull this shit. DO NOT COME HERE IT IS NOT WORTH IT

Daniel J.

Yelp
$13 for a 19oz can of Odell IPA... You can't be serious. Stadium prices while not even at the Rockies game.
google avatar

Alex S.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this bar when I first moved to Denver and still love it. Amazing outdoor space. Huge venue with multiple areas. Lots of TVs- great for sports nuts.
google avatar

Ethan M.

Yelp
It was the last game of the cowboys' season so I had to check out the 'official' cowboys bar in Denver! I was not disappointed at all! There was a huge private room for fans only, filled with decor, memorabilia, free chips n salsa, and few quesadillas! You even get a free raffle ticket to win a jersey just for coming in! The menu was pretty decent. Unfortunately they do not do substitutions (only subtractions) so it was a little difficult to find a good vegan option besides a veggie burger. Most of the menu is Mexican-inspired. I ended up getting a hearty southwest salad with no chicken or cheese and it was quite good. All the staff in the party room were fans too so it was a great environment. It's the best experience you can have without actually going to the game!
google avatar

Tim S.

Yelp
I'm sure it is a great place for catch a pregame beer or post game beer after the Rockies game, but food here is subpar. Went on a Saturday afternoon and had the wings and nachos. Wings were bland and chewy, nachos were standard with no kick. This place charges an extra $3 for guac, $2 for salsa, and $1 for sour cream (all in a small Dixie cup size) if your server asks you if you want it with the nachos. Even for the $6, nothing could save the blandness of the nachos, but a heads up for those charges would have been nice to know.

Yelp
This review is for the back room only... aka Steelers Country. We were in town during a Steelers v. Browns game and it was the perfect place for Steeler fans. Whole back room is dedicated to a dozen TVs with the Steelers game on, and there's not a bad seat in the house. We got there five minutes before game start and had no problem getting a table, but the place was ~90% seating capacity. Coors Light buckets were buy four beers get one free. The rumors are true... Coors does somehow taste better in Colorado. They had a lot of other good drink specials too. Food was good too, in comparison to standard bar food. Service was a one-man show, and he was busy, but always made sure to acknowledge you and let you know that he'll get to you soon. Raffle for Steelers memorabilia is distributed the first half of the game and raffled off during halftime.

Yelp
Was looking for just and old school sports bar with good food. Jackson's was just the place. Clean (in a clean but we obviously have customers who know how to have a good time kind of way), great food, good service. Across the street from Coors Field, would definitely eat here again. I'm n fact would eat here every time I'm in town for a game. I had eaten the night before at another sports bar that was more concerned about how many TV's were on the wall and how "hip" the vibe was.
google avatar

Yelp
We went for dinner during a Rockies game so the restaurant was empty. No one greeted us, so we sat ourselves outside. As we were outside, an employee came out and starting vaping right near us. Another came out and sat down and started to smoke. Gross. Just because you are slow - your customer service shouldn't drop. .
google avatar

Paige A.

Yelp
Wow! What a great experience we just had at Jackson's Lodo. What a fun place! One of the highlights was our rockstar waiter Christian. He was very friendly and super helpful. We couldn't decide on what beer to order. He suggested a Leinenkugel, and he totally hit the mark. Thanks, guy! I always tell my hubby that a good waiter really makes the experience. Food was good, also. I ordered the burnt ends Mac and cheese and it was delish. All in all, a good time was had at Jackson's.
google avatar

Charlese M.

Yelp
The wings are fye!!!!! A few pieces fried too hard but overall they are delicious!! I like the fact that they don't give u all drums because I hate drums!! If u ever visit .... come here! Service is great also.
google avatar

Emma J.

Yelp
I've been here a lot to drink - a fun place to drink, their speciality cocktails are around $10. I ate here for the first time, and it was pretty good. I got the club sandwich and my only complaint was that it was pretty salty. Fries were good and my boyfriend got the Philly cheesesteak which he said was good too.
google avatar

Ari S.

Yelp
The amount of 1 star reviews speaks for itself!!!! Incredibly rude management. I will never return and make sure to tell all of my family and friends just how horrible this place truly is. The food tastes like fried shit
google avatar

Yelp
Had an unfortunate experience here. I want to start by saying that I fully understand that any bartender can refuse to serve anyone for any reason. I was asked what year I graduated highschool. I answered that I did not. He followed up with "what year WOULD you have finished highschool?" I was feeling nervous about being grilled about my schooling in front of everyone and told him I didn't know because I was homeschooled and then got my GED much later. He then asked what year it was when I was 18. I tried to do quick math since obviously I don't have a major association with the age (no "Class Of 20XX" or life milestone) and so when I started counting backward for 9 years ago, he cut me off with his refusal to serve. He proceeded to tell me that "This was a Florida team bar," that a lot of FL IDs come through, and that mine looked fake. (Yiiikes!) He berated me with a "nice try" and then treated me suspiciously the rest of my time there. I understand they have rights to reject, but I came to have a good time with friends and I had the details of my education brought up in front of the whole bar, followed by further public badgering about mathematics. I felt as if it was not appropriate to treat me with such disdain and suspicion. It also reeks of instigation to mention that my real Florida ID looks fake and that he's an authority on the matter due to seeing a lot of them. It's a real ID, and forging identification is a serious accusation! Jackson's is ugly, scary, uninviting, aggressive, and overall not very fun.. :( Very much like Florida itself though, I'll give them that! It gave the people with me a good laugh, but ultimately it was an experience I would not recommend to others.

Yelp
A bit confusing on Football Sunday. They sent us upstairs, to be with all the other Eagles fans, but we didnt have a lanyard, for the Private party upstairs.. Huh? We just wanted a beer and wings.. Back downstairs. Huge place. A Buffalo Bills bar..in Denver. With a big fan base..not happy we invaded..whatever. The waiter was good. Attentive and on top of it. Tvs all over. Beer was cold and wings were hot.

L L.

Yelp
I grew up in Buffalo/Tonawanda area, hence I grew up eating Beef on a Weck. Jackson's did it justice! Just about as good as Old Man Rivers/ Swiston's. Service was great as well. Beefers have a unique flavor everyone should taste at least once!
google avatar

Jessica H.

Yelp
Saw 2 cockroaches. thought that was disgusting. then I put my hand down on a table and it landed on one. Made me sick to my stomach, ended up in tears. shut this place down.

Yelp
First stop for my co-workers bachelorette ballpark district bar-crawl: Jackson's. PRO: It just so happened that the night we were there was ladies night. Coincidence? I think not. Ha! CON: Ladies night means that place is PACKED to the brim. So if you're not into crowds you probably want to steer clear. PRO: Bartenders have always been on point during my visits. In this case I'm sure it was due to being ladies night. CON: None! PRO: Location is key! Not only is Jackson's right across from Coors Field, but it boasts great views of downtown from it's rooftop! CON: Having such a prime location near the ballpark means post-game gets super packed! Be prepared for standing room only and longer than the usual wait times. While Jackson's is not really my bar-of-choice, I can easily say it's decent enough and I'm sure I'll make my way back during another ballpark district bar crawl in the near future.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst service. I ordered a drink and asked for a food menu. Was in there 45 mins and the waitress never came back for my food order. As I was leaving I asked a waiter where the bathroom and he looked at me and was very rude. 10 out of 10 do not recommend. .
google avatar

Caleb H.

Yelp
Ask for Ryan, he is such a positive guy and it was a joy to be served by him. Highly recommend Jackson's on a Friday night after a fun night watching the Rockies.

James M.

Yelp
worst bouncer I have ever meet in my entire life. Had the biggest ego I've ever met. Got upset because I showed him where my DOB after not being able to find it after 2 minutes and called multiple people dick faces. whoever claimes they've been working for "20 years as a bouncer". was clearly dealing with personal problems and taking it out on anyone that he wasn't attracted to. everything else was pleasant but bouncer ruined the vibe for everyone entering the bar.

Francesca K.

Yelp
Girl at the front is extremely rude and unfriendly. Told us it was all open seating then we were told it's not.
google avatar

Paul N.

Yelp
I really appreciated the service at the upstairs bar. Taylor (with the green hair) was incredibly hospitable and showed my group a great time! Highly recommend!
