Excellent flavor, and a relaxing atmosphere. I had the Carne Asada and would recommend it. Make sure you are hungry, because it is a ton food, but every bite was delicious. I understand the owner made the food. I also had the garlic mushrooms, with avocado. Such a surprise. Very happy we stopped here.

In a world where customer service is dog shit, and food quality is so bad we'd almost given hope; we randomly pulled into Jackie's. We sat outside, it was wonderful out there, plenty of shade, and a nice breeze. Wonderful service, we have zero complaints. And getting to what really we all really want to know.....my food was bangin'. It was so, so, so very good. Thanks for giving me hope! We got enchiladas - next time the fajitas. Save yourself the hit and miss game and give her a try:)

Google
Excellent food. A Lot of food. Clean restaurant. Excellent Service. We are on a trip from Texas, and my only issue is, that I can't get this food until I drive back. We had garlic mushrooms which came on a plate with avacados and tomatoes. Carne Asada was tender and flavorful. I had the fried rice. OMG I am so thrilled with the flavor. Jacky herself made the food. If you live here, or are visiting, I hugely recommend this restaurant.

Google
Miguel was our server - he was amazing - so friendly and his recommendation of the pineapple water paid off. It was delicious. We got the christmas enchiladas and some tacos and everything was tasty, I would highly recommend.

We’re from Colorado, and this is always our first stop when we're in town—it’s truly a hidden gem for incredible food. From the fresh salsa to the desserts and everything in between, you’ll fall in love with every bite. The owner is wonderful and brings rich cultural diversity to the menu, blending authentic flavors that you won’t find anywhere else. Be sure to try the pupusas, a delicious Salvadoran specialty, or my husband’s favorite—the Wet Burrito, Christmas-style. The chilaquiles are outstanding and unlike any we’ve had elsewhere. Another standout is the Guatemalan tortilla with steak and slaw—simple, flavorful, and unforgettable. I have yet to try anything here that I didn’t absolutely love. Choosing what to order is always the hardest part—because everything is just that good.

We love going to Jacky's on the east side. Always have a great meal. Very filling definitely don't leave hunry. And the wait staff have very amazing customer service skills. They give you an experience as good as the food. Top notch.

Google
Great food. I ordered chicken enchiladas and they were delicious. Big servings, I had to take half home with me. My 3 companions were all very satisfied with their meals. It was too cold to sit outside but they have a very nice seating area out there and I think it would be a great place to go in the summer time. Will definitely return. Update: returned to order a lunch take out. Fast service. Their lunch menu is no cheaper than their dinner menu, it just has different items on it. So I paid around $11 for a lunch that seemed very small. But when I got home and ate it, it was delicious. Plenty enough to fill me up but it would not be enough for some people (like my 6' tall son).

Ordered on the app for some tre leche deserts. I got there and was ignored. No one helped me further or tried to get my order. After several minutes I finally stopped someone to ask about my order. It wasn’t ready and had to be bagged up and prepared 15-20 minutes after ordering. I’m very happy I didn’t order any hot food it probably wouldn’t have even been cooked or would have been ice cold. This was my first time eating Jacky’s and probably my last

Yelp
Food was good ... standard Mexican fare, but also some unusual items (Guatemalan). Service was friendly and prompt.

Yelp
An absolute favorite of ours. Today was my third visit within the past 10 days. Ground beef smothered burrito with Christmas sauce, always my favorite! Quick service, cozy vibes.

Yelp
First time here and I love it! The chicken with coconut cream sauce is amazing. Just look at the size of these Margarita's that are loaded for action with Tequila. The service is great, this is a must try for all who like Guatemalan and Mexican food. Remember #trynewfoods #neverdrinkalone #live #love #enjoylife

Yelp
Although when you walk into this restaurant it doesn't scream Mexican, the food here is delicious! The chips and salsa they give you come out nice and warm and are FREE of course! (Which is awesome) I order a cup of queso to go along with it which was just as delicious, it's not spicy, which I love, so I was in heaven! My husband ordered the chili relleno which he absolutely liked, lots of beef stuffing - but personally he'd be ordering the cheese relleno next time (just his preference). I ordered the pollo en crema! Blow your mind crazy good!!!!! That sauce is to die for!!! I've had this meal at other places before, but nothing as good as this!!! Hands down the best I've had! And the refried beans are amazing good. The service was good, food was good, and my entire experience was good. I'll DEFINITELY be back!!!

Yelp
One order of Enchilads Mexicanas and one order Enchiladas Rancheras. Both with shredded beef. Both were good and I would eat them again. The Mexicanas has some heat. Meat was tender and had good flavor. Beans weren't good. Don't like rice so I can't comment on flavor. Looked dry. Margaritas weren't bad but they weren't particularly great either. Mine seemed off, watery maybe. The other person said his was ok. We tasted each other's and both noticed a substantial difference. They did get me a new one which was better. After he commented they both came out of the same machine. These were both regular lime on the rocks. No, idea but I wouldn't pay for one again. Service was decent. A little run down but not creepy or dirty looking.

Yelp
Authentic Guatemalan dish! Literally one of my favorite meals in this town. Absolutely delicious!!

Yelp
Was one of our favorite restaurants until they started adding a surcharge for using a credit card. I usually tip well but may have to make an adjustment, IF we ever eat there again.

Yelp
never had a bad experience here until tonight. Food was good, service was awful. Our server brought our food, then he did not check back with us for 45 minutes. We had to get up to get his attention. Spent 90 minutes in the place that should have taken 45.

Yelp
Went in tonight and tried to order an enchilada and burrito with just veggies and no meat. The waiter recommended we get a salad. Walked out immediately and went down the block to Giliberto's and they had excellent vegetarian options. Just facts of the evening. All love!

Yelp
WEST SIDE JACKYs EXPRESS Great service, cuisine, dining space and Menu. Super clean and friendly space. Food: Authentic Guatemalan homestyle and streetfood. Beefy Al Pastor, tender and soulful Tortas. A small jewel in our working class neighborhood. Full Salsa bar with culinary diverse selections. It seems as if Jackie's is figuring out its strategy very quickly in this new venue and business model. Welcome to the neighborhood Jackie's.

Yelp
absolutely horrible service I got the wrong order and went back in to havw it fixed and the worker refused to give me my money back or fix the food. I called in my Order then when I got there had to wait 15 mins for cold food because my order was sitting at the bar. just bad overall and I would love the owner to make this right

Yelp
Jacky's...what can I say??? Delicious that's it!!! The wet shrimp burrito is our fav! We were introduced to Jacky's a couple years back and can't get enough! This is our go to all the time! Just can't get enough!! Customer service is over the top! Thanks guys:))

Yelp
I really enjoyed my enchiladas with rice and beans however I ordered the three cheese nachos and they were disgraceful, basically a can of nacho cheese dumped on chips

Yelp
We stopped in for a quick light lunch The food is amazing so light was a challenge. We had a shrimp quesadilla app between my wife and I. Generous amount of shrimp, delicious cheeses and perfect tortilla combined to make this a great lunch. Add a couple of Bohemia beers and my wife's strawberry margarita and we are set to face the afternoon. We sat at the bar and our server/bartender was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back to explore the menu selections and I feel certain they will be as good.

Yelp
Bad experience start to finish. The service was truly awful- no introduction from the server, no recommendations or specials, no sense of hospitality. Our appetizer was forgotten about and arrived cold. The food itself was ok- we got enchiladas mexicanas and chicken tostadas. The chicken is not seasoned, just boiled and pulled. The sauces taste canned, as do the beans and rice. The salsa is pretty good, though. We waited about ten minutes to have our check run and determined we won't be coming back.

Yelp
While visiting my parents (from California), my mom and I decided to go to Jacky's based on reviews from others. I was super disappointed - not only was the food just OK, but the service was awful. The server we had was super uninterested in what we wanted or what our questions were. She ignored us for most of our lunch time, and when she did come to take our order, she seemed a little annoyed that she had to do so. I had the three tacos and I think it's not great business that you can't order different kinds of tacos - to be honest, it's the first Latin restaurant I've been to where you have to order the same meat for all of your tacos! I had the al pastor and it was super dry and not at all what I have had in the past. The nachos had "cheese sauce" which no one seemed to know the ingredients of, and my mom had a chimichanga which was mostly rice. If you want Latin food that is incredibly inauthentic, this could be for you. We were disappointed because we've seen the story about the owner and I expected much better food and service.

Yelp
This Place Has Been So Good All The Other Times I Was Here But This Time Was So Bad I Almost Threw Up First we got dirty cups than he got our order wrong and then it took so long for the drinks this entire thing sucked.Never Go Here Again.

Yelp
We went out with our children for the first time in three months. Jacky's patio was fantastic and the food was awesome. Our server was not wearing a mask, and then gave our young son a high 5, so that's why I docked a star. Covid is no joke, and my children's safety is incredibly important. Please wear masks, and keep up the delicious food.

Yelp
This location is very nice and clean. I ordered the flautas because I prefer flour tortillas over corn. The chicken was better than the beef but it was nice trying both. Sour cream and guacamole came on the side. We also ordered the bean dip and it has plenty of cheese. We will definitely come back.

Yelp
This was my first time to Jacky's since joining Yelp. 4 stars: the food was delicious as always (steak wet burrito with queso!) and ultimately why such a high rating, but the service was average at best. I arrived around or 2-2:30 pm mid-week to no server at the front and an otherwise empty building. After a 5 minute wait, a server came to the front and seated me. After eating, it took 10 minutes before the server was visible to flag her down for the check. Maybe it was just an "off" day for her as it seemed she was relatively uninterested in being at work. All in all, great food. I hope the service is better for you!

Yelp
Quality of food is terrible. For the prices it's definitely not worth your money. Plain taste no seasoning and this is suppose to be a Guatemalan spot. Smh definitely last experience

Yelp
May 14th 2018 3:09 p.m. decided to come to Jackie's for lunch today with my wife as we were out and about and hadn't had Jackie's in quite some time we do enjoy their wet burritos with nothing more than beans, rice and cheese with the Qaso over the top on any other occasion that we've been here it was understandably delicious the chips are plentiful with the salsa most of the time and the waiters are rather nice and consistent with their hospitality. Today however was a completely different situation we went to Jackie's today just after 2:10 p.m. completely dead not a soul in site we were literally the only patrons in the entire restaurant 5 minutes after we were seated somebody finally came and asked us for our drinks. We decided to go with waters as we just felt that it was a hot day and waters would be nice the glasses were handed to us with straws, ice and water and of course as we go to put the straws into the cups we notice things floating around and my wife's was especially dirty and disgusting how do you serve water in a clear cup to customers with dirt on the inside of it. it was disgusting to say the least So we order our usual wet burrito with queso cheese just beans cheese and rice no meat and it comes out to us in about 15 to 20 minutes after we order. of course by now our chips and salsa that they provide to you are gone which most of the time they would go ahead and replenish that and offer you more chips and salsa. Well not today, today they sit down our food and walk away never to be heard from again. we finish our meal and were disappointed the food wasn't that great today it didnt have much flavor and was very bland actually. Once finished we sit and we wait and we wait and we wait half an hour after we finished our food my wife actually had to get-up-and-go and find the waitress that was serving us so we can get our check and leave. now let me remind you that the waitress did not stop by one time to see if we needed more water if we needed more chips our salsa or if the food was even any good. Well my wife did finally find her sitting at another table eating her own food. why would you be sitting Sitting down eating your own food isn't that what a break is 4 so your customers don't suffer why you stuff your face with food what kind of customer service is this what kind of restaurant is this that would leave their customers sitting for a 1/2 an hour while you eat. save your own time for your break and eat while on your break serve your customers as that's how you make your money especially when we were the only ones in the restaurant were the only ones providing you with income at that time why would you treat your customers this way needless to say Jackie has been stricken from our menu and our selection of restaurants in town we will never ever eat at jackie's again I hope you enjoyed your meal because it cost you two good paying customers.

Yelp
So good! I had their chicken "Christmas burrito" and it was so good! And their guacamole is the best in town! I can't wait to go back!

Holly M.

Yelp
Amazing food! Such a great amount of authentic Mexican delight! We had four wet pulled beef burritos with Christmas sauce delivered and it was so quick and such a great treat on this rainy day.

Yelp
We used to go there a lot before covid. Today is first time we went inside and our server was not happy to serve us. She was so nice to the people next to us and every time she came over over to our table her attitude changes. She only came if we called her for something. She brought our drinks and didn't give us straws so we had to wait for someone to walk by to get straws. She would go ask other tables how they're doing and if they needed anything but she never came over to ask if we need and thing. When our food came out she only brought us one plate and we were 3 of us there so we called her and asked if she can get us more plate and she had an attitude about that and when she brought a plate it was dirty. I could go on and write everything but it's too much. The only difference i saw is we are black and others are white so I don't know if she was treating us different because of our color. We went there for my birthday because I always looked forward to their tracé leche cake but we ended up leaving. We're not going back ever again.

Mike S.

Yelp
This is a great place. Food is terrific and we are looking forward to coming here again soon. Wife had shrimp and was impressed. I had something mixto which had steak and very tasty.

Mina M.

Yelp
I made a call in order for carry out on a Saturday evening. The young man that answered the phone was very well mannered. The food was made in a timely fashion. When we finally opened it up to eat, the food was fresh and visually satisfying. The flavor was incredible. We ordered for four adults. The salsa had a really good balance of spice and freshness, and the guacamole had a refreshing lime flavor and was smooth. The chips stayed crisp and weren't overly greasy. The chicken fajitas had a good ratio of meat to veg, and had a remarkable texture. The pollo crema had a lot going on. Each ingredient had it's own spotlight. The rice was really wonderful, and soft but definitely not overcooked. Their chicken tostada was a dream. The veg was fresh and crisp, and the meat tender and moist. The last thing we ordered was a shredded beef chimichanga. The tortilla was amazing! I'm not sure how they prepared it, but it really made that particular meal stand out. It was covered in melted cheese but not too much, and the inside was a tasty pleasure. The rice was a perfect compliment to the beef. The meat was perfectly seasoned and extremely tender. I will absolutely be coming back to Jacky's!

Yelp
Against my better judgement the family and I decided to go to Jacky's for Dinner last evening, there is something about that place that just makes a person wanna turn around and leave (beginning with the foul odor in the place) but since I wasn't alone we stayed, it wasn't very busy but of course we still had to wait for the host to get seated and he sat us in the bar area and my wife slides into the booth and rubs across something wet and sticky on the cushion of the booth so she took every napkin we had and tried to clean it and then asked for a wet rag cause it was sticky and of course no one knew what a wet rag was so finally a third person comes over to ask what we needed and never said sorry or gave an explanation as to why this could have happened but the remaining staff all stood by the counter and watched us as we did their job, finally a waitress comes over to ask if we want anything to drink then later took our order and out of 4 orders she did manage to get 2 of them correct, I ordered the Shrimp enchiladas with creamy sauce and of course it came with green sauce and there were very few shrimp in the enchiladas and of course no apology or attempt to correct it and of course we never saw her again until we flagged her down for the check, sorry Jacky this will definitely be my last visit!
