NYC New Restaurant Openings, October 2025 | Eater NY

"A sprawling new flagship adds seafood platters and muffaletta salads to fan favorites like honey chicken–pickle biscuit sandwiches, and an indoor–outdoor bar for 350 pushes rare American whiskey pours and a robust martini program." - Tierney Plumb

NYC's Most Exciting Fall Restaurant Openings - New York - The Infatuation

"Upper West Side mainstay Jacob’s Pickles is moving—but not too far. It’s staying in the neighborhood, just moving nine blocks up and one avenue, in a bigger space that once was home to a spot called Agave, and before that, Gabriela’s. Velvet Cowboy, a new bar and restaurant from the same owners, will take over the original Jacob’s Pickles space in 2026." - bryan kim, willa moore, will hartman, molly fitzpatrick

On the Grid : Jacob's Pickles

"Jacob's Pickles is one of the first UWS restaurants my non-UWS friends have heard about. And for good reason. This place has become so popular for it's good and affordable eats that it's become a destination for people from other boroughs. The concept is simple, comfort food + beer + good cocktails in a hip lively atmosphere = smashing success. It's slammed literally every day and waits can be long. Luckily you can make reservations via OpenTable now so that help's a bit. The food is incredible, I love getting the fried chicken smothered with mushroom gravy and the collard greens are to die for. The portions are huge too, so expect to take some home if your a light eater." - Ken Pao

Trump Building Restaurant Nerolab Might Be Closed | Eater NY

"An Upper West Side beer-and-biscuit restaurant at 509 Amsterdam Avenue was temporarily closed after failing a New York City Health Department inspection on June 4 due to damaged areas of the facilities; the owner posted a notice saying the closure is necessary to address the issues and aims to reopen 'by the weekend.' At the same time, the team is relocating the operation to a new site at 680 Columbus Avenue and West 93rd Street with hopes of opening there by the end of the summer while retaining the original location for a new project." - Nadia Chaudhury

Where ‘Maybe Happy Ending’ Star Helen J Shen Gets Brunch In NYC - New York - The Infatuation

"“It's Southern comfort food-inspired—biscuits, cornbread, hot honey. I love the whole Pickle empire, because Maison Pickle has the same ownership and Tiki Chick across the street. At Jacob's, you're gonna take stuff home. There is just no way that you are finishing. You want to eat everything. The grits are really great. Their sides that come with any meal are excellent. But if everybody at the table is ordering their own meal, that is way too much food for any person. That's a moment when the savory-sweet share situation is perfect. One person orders a savory, one person orders a sweet, and then you split both.”" - brennan carley
