Jacqueline Owner Derek Hanson’s Favorite Portland Restaurants | Eater Portland

"I've settled the restaurant back into its original concept after a jaunt into breakfast and brunch, and I think we're in something of a renaissance — we're probably busier than we were pre-COVID. The dining room's puffer-fish-patterned wallpaper gives you a sense of our focus: we're best known for seafood, and while everybody gets the crab toast and lobster buns, I'm personally most excited about the ever-changing farm veggies we source from local farmers; that sense of connectivity and togetherness is what fuels my passion as a chef. We're open for onsite dining with proof of vaccination." - Thom Hilton

I came in for a dress for my brother's wedding. At first I was trying to keep to an extremely low budget, and although they didn't have anything in my original price range in the store, only online, Elisa and Jackie still talked to me about what my other options were and what other stores I could go to to fit my budget. I appreciated that they didn't try to force me to buy something. I started browsing on my phone while my mom was being helped, but nothing I saw from these other stores wowed me like what I was surrounded by. So I decided to expand my budget just a bit and found some beautiful dresses to try on. I actually had trying deciding because I loved multiple dresses so much. At least it's a good problem to have haha. Elisa and Jackie gave me ideas on how I might want to alter whichever dress I chose, like using the fabric from the hem to make sleeves or a shawl. Maybe I could have gone to another store, or more likely a bunch of different stores, to try to find a cheaper dress, but that would have been a huge pain and another thing to do, and I might not have even found something I really liked. I'm glad I decided to stay and get my dress here. It's beautiful, and Elisa and Jackie were so kind and helpful.

I had the most incredible experience at Jacqueline’s today. From the moment I walked in, the entire staff made me feel welcomed, supported, and genuinely cared for. Ava and Elisa were absolutely exceptional — patient, warm, attentive, and so skilled at what they do. They listened to exactly what I was looking for, offered thoughtful guidance, and were honest in the most kind and empowering way. What truly stood out was how every single woman in the shop created such a positive and uplifting environment. They worked together seamlessly, made the experience fun, and never once made me feel rushed or pressured. Their eye for detail, understanding of fit, and willingness to go the extra mile made the entire process effortless. I left feeling confident, excited, and so grateful for the time and care they invested in me. Jacqueline’s is more than a dress shop — it’s an experience. If you’re looking for exceptional service, genuine kindness, and a team of women who truly want you to feel your absolute best, this is the place to go. I cannot recommend them enough. 💜

Google
Valerie was incredible. Picked the most gorgeous dresses that were perfect for the occasions. Totally no pressure and very honest and supportive.

Google
First stop for prom dress and it’s our last. As soon as she started trying on dresses by Ellie Wilde, we knew that was the right brand for my daughter. Every dress she tried on was absolutely stunning!! Elisa was our sales associate and she was truly exceptional!!!! Within minutes, we knew she was going to find her dream dress. She picked few items that wasn’t on her list and one of them ended up being THE perfect DRESS. Thank you so much Elisa for all your incredible help. Shopping with you was a remarkably effortless experience. One and done!!! Thank you!!!

Google
Amazing store amazing customer service! I’ve been to 5 other prom dress stores and no one does it like Jacqueline. Charlie was our stylist she was amazing! The stylist pics out dresses that fit your preference and takes you through the whole process of finding the dress for you. There are so many options and they just make you feel amazing in every dress but there is no pressure to like any of the dresses which is so nice. I ended up finding a dress I loved but was still given the option to look through more styles just to be sure which was lovely. 10/10 experience!

Senait L.

Google
Betty was so kind and had an amazing eye for what dresses suited me for prom. She listened to my input as well for what types of dresses I was looking for. She helped me find a very unique and beautiful dress that got me many complements. I had difficulty deciding, but she did not show any signs of being annoyed and rather kept trying to help me out. All the staff was very kind and kept on complementing me as well, giving their input. Thank you so much for this amazing experience!

Monel A.

Google
It was my first time at Jacqueline’s and it was a great experience. Ava was amazing and helped me find the perfect dress for my semi-formal. 10’s across the board!

Google
Jackie and Elisa are life savers! We have an upcoming wedding to attend. They found a dress for both me and my daughter each. Each dress was ideal for us! This was the easiest and most enjoyable shopping experience! Thank you both!

Catherine B.

Yelp
Experience was amazing. First dress fitting and we were able to find not only one but two dresses for two proms all because Jackie took one look at my daughter, got a few tips of her likes and took over. Highly recommend the shop and Jackie above all!!

Gabriela A.

Yelp
Ash N was the one that helped me and she did an amazing job helping me find my senior prom dress. She was very sweet and nice, she picked out dress which I described to her and the whole experience was very comforting.

Lori E.

Yelp
I called the store as a courtesy as I could not make my appointment due to the weather- the woman on the phone was so snippy and nasty saying " you're going to let a little rain stop you from shopping- it isn't a blizzard. The facts that need to be known, I was traveling from over 40 miles away. What is rain in Livingston is ICE in Hackettstown. Not to mention we are dealing with a massive 40-foot sinkhole that has Rt 80 East closed with traffic for miles to bypass the road closure. I cannot believe this woman spoke to a potential customer that way. They should keep in mind that not all clients live in the immediate area. That woman is despicable and should be ashamed of herself. Absolutely Disgusting! I would give 0 stars, but it doesn't allow you to do so.

Shaniya

Yelp
I went to Jaqueline to try on dresses for my prom. The service was amazing. Ash did such an amazing job with picking the perfect dresses!!

Katherine G.

Yelp
Secured a 45 min appt (with credit card). Drove 45 mins to store, checked in on time, but wasn't allowed in to store until half hour past our appt time. My daughter was given 5 dresses to try on. Asked to try a few more, was told we were out of time. I said we have only been here 30 mins, we still have another 15 mins. Was told we could re-try on something we have already tried on, but that was it. Will tell everyone we know to avoid this store.

Ava P.

Yelp
I came in last weekend with my grandma and mom looking for a prom dress for a March 28th prom, and was helped immediately by a young associate. They listened to my concerns and opinions and helped me find two amazing dresses. Each girl trying on dresses had someone to pick out dresses for them and they each offered help to every girl. Bombarded by compliments and very happy with this place, I will 100% be going back!

Tricia S.

Yelp
Fantastic selection and Sandra was amazing. Highly recommend this for any formal event. Process was seamless.

K M.

Yelp
This place should honor coupons. You don't give less of a product when a customer presents a coupon.

Yelp
My daughter and I loved Jacqueline! Her stylist, Keira, was super helpful and totally got to know my daughter's style. She was able to pull dresses that helped my daughter learn what she liked and what looked good on her, and helped her find her dream dress. I would absolutely recommend Jacqueline, and especially Keira as a stylist.

Keri K.

Yelp
Jackie was awesome. the first dress she picked was the one we ended up with. she was friendly, honest, and kind. we couldn't have found a better saleswoman than Jackie.

Corey S.

Yelp
The best dress shop ever! Excellent customer service with Ava from start to finish! This was the second prom dress purchase from Jaqueline-top tier selections and awesome customer service each time! Thank you Jaqueline and HUGE thanks to Ava!!!!

Pat C.

Yelp
Once I shared my budget (under 1k), for a mother of bride dress, the associate was almost dismissive with us. She pulled some dresses, walked over occasionally as I tried on dresses, not assisting with fitting the sample on me that was always too big. Left feeling they were doing us a favor and we were an annoyance. I will definitely not recommend nor ever return!

Patrick L.

Yelp
You have been warned.. owner and staff is horrible. Made an appointment and was told after a 2 min discussion they don't have anything. Very horrible place , and it shows from the reviews , should be only 1 star or negative.. go anywhere but this place.

Yelp
I read the previous reviews and almost did not try looking for a prom dress with my daughter at this location. I'm so glad we gave it a shot! There is a woman named Jacki there who gave us fabulous service. They had a great supply of dresses for my high school senior and we found the perfect prom dress for her. I definitely recommend making an appointment- especially if you live locally. No reason to drive 40 minutes when this lovely boutique is in Livingston. (I live about 20 minutes away.) A lot of the dresses are over $350++ which seems to be the going price for prom dresses these days. They have a lovely selection. Good luck!

Michele M.

Yelp
keira was super sweet and helpful!! love my dress so much, super good quality and decently priced!

Yelp
First and last time going to this store. I showed up with my daughter and her sister who had to sit outside the store due to a one guest policy that only applied to some (I watched a family get shuffled to the back rooms no less than 10 minutes after we arrived.) My daughter was handed dresses and not allowed to look through the selection herself to find what appealed to her. We were constantly being told that if we didn't buy something that day , it would be gone by the next and that the only dresses available, were the dresses they had. One dress my daughter liked was ripped at a seam (which the owner told the salesperson wasn't a big deal) and was big enough where the alterations would have cost a fortune. Couple that with the All Sales Final, it wasn't happening. The other dresses "couldn't be ordered" in different colors or sizes due to delivery issues with China. Fast forward 3 hours and I'm talking to another mom. She started to show me photos of the Prom dress her daughter bought elsewhere, and I the ones my daughter tried on. Incredibly, the dress my daughter was told only came in one color and they couldn't order regardless ... her daughter ordered from another store, in the color my daughter actually requested, and in two different sizes with a two week in hand date. Fascinatingly enough, that store doesn't sell the dresses off of the floor ... everything is ordered and the salesperson was the one who suggested she order the two sizes and see which one fit better. I am so thrilled my daughter didn't give into the sales pressure and settle for something she wasn't completely happy with. From her own mouth: "any reputable institution should not use tactics of intimidation to corner 17 year olds into buying damaged and ill fitting dresses."

Yelp
Rude rude rude. How this place stays in business is a miracle! They have no idea what customer service is

Gina A.

Yelp
Terrible experience. They booked way too many appointments at one time. You are not allowed to look through any of the dresses. After showing multiple photos, discussing colors and style, the sales rep brought us about 20 dresses all opposite of what we described. They finally asked the owner if they had anything similar to what we were looking for and we were quickly dismissed and unattended to. We left shortly after because the staff was not knowledgeable and the owner seemed very rude. Not sure how this place stays in business when there are so many other options.

Nathy L.

Yelp
I am so glad we came to this store! Jr. prom is in 2 weeks for my daughter and she still didn't have a dress. Between the crunched time and my daughter's idea of what she wanted, finding a dress seemed impossible. We only waited a few minutes past our set appointment time, which was no biggie and so worth it! Ava B. was AMAZING!!! She was patient, helpful, brought out great choices for my daughter to try on, provided great feedback for each dress and best of all did not make the process feel rushed or forced. We ultimately left with a dress that my daughter absolutely loves! They have beautiful selections and we will definitely be back next year for her Senior prom. Thank you Ava B. for all your help today!

Yelp
IF I could give a 0 I would... just came home and it was like being at a used car dealership; buy it NOW or forget about it!!!!!! Told the salesperson this was my daughters 1st go at prom dresses so we are just trying on right now. Her rude pushy attitude was beyond and made my daughter so uncomfortable she just wanted to get out of there. When asked if she could put the info of the dress she liked on her sheet (you have to fill out a sheet) she said "don't bother if you don't buy it now it won't be here"! So I said what if we decide and want to purchase over the phone (we live 1 hr away) her response NO! You have to sign paperwork (for a dress????) . We just left ... even IF we loved a dress there I would not give them my $$$. Go to Camille La Vie in Secaucus 100's of more options / better priced / Relaxed etc! Best of luck!! Shopping for a dress should be FUN not STRESSED!

Ashley Dianne ..

Yelp
I had Ava B. and she was the sweetest and most patient person ever. I showed her inspo pictures and she picked the prettiest dresses and that followed exactly what I liked. I kept going back and forth between two dresses and she was patient through it all. Thank you so much Ava I'm so happy with my choice !!

Hannah G.

Yelp
Attentive staff and we loved Gabby, she put the work in to get us a dress! Great selection but a little crowded, had the dress we wanted in stock!

Deb M.

Yelp
Tried on one dress, the perfect dress. Michelle totally hit what we wanted. Thank you!

Yelp
An establishment who feels that it's okay to call the police on innocent people of color. Jacqueline's stands by their decision to do this. You feel it's okay to do this? Jacqueline's response: "We still believe that that employee did the right thing by calling the police. If the police were not called there would have been more yelling and turmoil, similar to the turmoil we are currently seeing with these postings; nothing gets resolved and everyone gets more agitated. " Well I bet you regret your decision now, because you made matters 100x worse instead of dealing with the customer like a professional.

Jennifer C.

Yelp
I brought my daughter to try on prom dresses. Not only do they overbook but their customer service is a disgrace. The young girls that they have to work with each customer were wonderful but the owner is rude! For the entire 45min appointment we didn't have a seat nor was my daughter able to look at herself in a mirror bc of the amount of people that they have there all at once. My daughter literally had to come out and show me the dress in the middle of racks of dresses. The owner was also very rude to her employees in front of a legit crowd of people. I wouldn't ever buy a dress from this lady!

Kerry J.

Yelp
Can I give ZERO stars? How do stores like this stay in business? Their hours are 11-6. I get there at 11:45 and they are closed. But wait - they are not actually closed - I see 3 sales ppl chatting away in the store. I call and I'm told they'll open in a few minutes. I wait. I wait: I call again - the person actually got "snippy" and said they are busy and I will have to wait longer. I see them seeing me. I'm ready to shop. Finally at 12:05 I left and went up another store....

Zakeerah C.

Yelp
All the staff at Jacqueline were kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. I had a blast trying on dresses and finding the perfect dress for my event. The gowns are beautiful and the staff makes sure you leave satisfied and ready to stun.

Deanna L.

Yelp
This place is HORRIBLE! DO NOT GO HERE unless you want to be pressured to buy a dress that day. Sales people are in a rush for you to pick a dress - any dress - so they can close the sale. AVOID THIS STORE! There are many other options for Prom and special occasion dresses in Northern NJ which frankly will have better selection and a better experience. Total used car salesman experience here. It's unbelievable they are still in business.

Gigi G.

Yelp
What a horrible experience. I felt rushed getting my dress 17 minutes in and the person tells me we are running out of options here. Would barge in my room while changing and seemed upset that I did t like the 5 dresses I tried on. My mom took the day off so that I could be given 30 minutes of crappy prom shopping. Don't waste your money here!

Colleen B.

Yelp
I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance and confirmed the day prior to my appointment. I walked in, masked, with one friend. First person approaches me, "Do you have an appointment?". Whatever happened to Hello! Welcome! I confirmed that I did, and she began to walk around the counter. Then a second woman approaches "Do you have an appointment?" I sense a theme here. Yes I do, at noon, I replied. Then another sales person comes closer and the two of them look me up and down and guess my size. I tell them about the dresses I saw on their site, they replied "out of stock". I said I love halter dresses. They replied "we don't have any." I was out of there in 20 minutes. Lacking client service and professionalism.

Lauren T.

Yelp
If I could give a zero I would. I called weeks ago to make an appointment for my daughter to try on 2 dresses I was told were in stock. We arrived early, and they took us, which is the only nice thing I will say. The sales lady informed us that just because they had the dress doesn't mean they do now, and the owner can't possibly keep up with updating stock on the website which shows they have the only 2 dresses my child wanted to try on. The sales lady then brought us 4 dresses in the wrong size. One was damaged. She tried to tell us that the style we were shopping for wasn't what 8th graders wore (no one asked). She also informed us that the two dresses she wanted to try on would never be found because all the dresses were stuck in China. After begging, she "let" my daughter try on the long version of the dress we wanted. Why weren't we offered this in the first place? We also weren't allowed to look around the small dingy store, and we were offered no other options. But thank you for being rude, because we went to Lola's in Manalapan who had the dresses in every size and color and we bought the dress there!!!! Do not go to this store-the sales people are straight out of Pretty Woman, except this isn't Beverly Hills.

Yelp
So happy to hear that I was not the only one to experience this stores rudeness. My mishap happened about 5 years ago, and it's unfortunate that nothing has changed, despite their bad ratings and customer complaints. When I was a freshman in college, I decided to go to this shop to look at dresses for an event. I walked in and they asked me if they could help me. I replied "no thank you" and that " I was just looking around." The lady then said "you must be here with a parent." They continued to tell me that I couldn't look around. What kind of rule is that? I was a legal ADULT, with a job. I questioned them and told them that I was in fact 18 years old, with my own money. And to add that just about a year before that, I purchased my high school prom dress (with my mom of course). Their nasty attitudes towards CUSTOMERS, was the icing on the cake. Legally, that DOES count as age discrimination...Federal Civil Rights Act of 1964

Yelp
If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. I walked in and was immediately accosted by a rude sales woman asking me what I wanted. I explained that I was helping a friend find a wedding dress. "You do know we don't have wedding dress, right?!" Yes, I'm well aware, if you would just listen to me instead of sneering at me down your nose and judging me, you would hear that she doesn't want a wedding dress. I was then told to wait and then was told I could look but not to get in the way (wtf?! I'M A CUSTOMER). I ended up leaving. I don't think anyone should spend their well earned money at an establishment that's discriminatory and RUDE. I will gladly take my business else where.

Cathy N.

Yelp
Bottom line - you buy off the racks, damaged and tried a hundred times, pay full price, then they CHARGE you to fix the beads and clean it up. Note: If you're a RHONJ fan, you're going to see an episode featuring this store. It was set up: shot at night, the shoppers staged, the scenes, everything. Remember, there are wonderful high class specialty stores who don't need television drama to gain customers. Bottom line - inventory not as it appears online, bored women sales clerks trying to fill their time. really a prom store. And they do judge who they will service and who they snub. I was not snubbed, but did see the eye rolls towards some younger girls. Second note: Can't buy class and breeding, ladies. Don't care who you think you are, I walked off a beach with my new husband in 1996 and bought a shore house cash after one realtor told the other, "you can have these kids, see what they need." Big mistake.

Karen N.

Yelp
An awful experience. I was greeted by what seemed to be security staff. Shopping for a Mother of the Bride dress I had to fill out a questionnaire before they would even help me. The not only needed to know my specific price range but the name of the venue where the wedding was being held and the number of guests. They were rude and nasty. Stay away from this place !

Yelp
I came here 5 years ago and bought a great dress for my senior prom. It was a very pleasant shopping experience, and other than the ridiculous cost of their alterations I was extremely happy with the entire experience. So two days ago I took my little sister to start looking for her prom dress. I noted on the door a sign stating prom dress shoppers must be accompanied by an adult/guardian over 21. Ok, fair. I'm 23 -and have always looked older for my age- so no problem there. We walked in and were immediately barked at by the blonde, middle aged woman behind the counter. I was told not to go near the dresses until a stylist was available. My sister noticed that the nearest "stylist" was a girl she happens to go to school with. You're telling me I have to wait for a 17 year old to tell me what looks good on someone?? No thanks. To add insult to injury, the woman then continues barking: "and come back when you each have a parent with you!" I asked why *iii* would be needing a parent, while at the same time receiving looks of confusion from the customer mother/daughter pair she was ringing up (they clearly didn't understand why a grown woman needed her mother there either). At this point we both left. I have never been treated with so much disrespect in my life, and in front of an entire room of customers too. I hope everyone who reads this spares themselves and avoids risking the same experience we had.

Yelp
Profiling??? As prom season is upon us, I sent my two girls to Jacqueline Dresses in Livingston, NJ. They were with two other prom girls and 2 boys. All are African American. They walked in and were promptly asked to leave. One of my girls is 18 but the saleswoman told them only 21 and over otherwise a parent must be present. The kid told me they were kicked out and I went to the store to inquire. The woman at the register told me of their policy, I asked to see where that was posted in the store. It was not but she said it is on their website (I am not sure why they believe that all people look at their website before coming to shop). I asked to speak with the "red haired woman" that kicked the kids out. She was in their break room, walked out, saw me and turned around and went back to the break room. Apparently, this is when she called the POLICE. She saw me and my brown skin and immediately felt she needed police assistance. We were calmly discussing the situation when the detective walked in. The detective was also confused as to why the police were called. I spoke to the owner of the store about an hour later and he said I was "very reasonable and articulate" (why wouldn't I be) but that calling the police was the right thing to do. The whole experience was very upsetting.

Yelp
Horrible customer service!! Don't bother going here. Look at the other reviews here. There are plenty of other places to go. This is not one of them.

Yelp
If I could give this sad store 0 starts I would without hesitation. So first time I went there, I drove 40 minutes with my friend to look for a formal dress. We walked in and we were told to leave the store. Me and my friend are both 18 (LEGAL ADULTS) and apparently you need a parent there to help you? That is beyond me. You need to be at least 21 years of age to just LOOK at the dresses?! That is ridiculous. If I was an independent adult of 20 years of age, with dead parents I would not be allowed to shop there. What in tarnation? First Impression: Confused, Angry. Did not plan on ever going back there... Fast forward a few months later, I'm frantically looking for prom dresses that is a month away. After arguing with her, my mom convinced me to go Jacqueline. We drove 40 minutes yet again to try and find a prom dress. We walk in and immediately see a customer fighting with the manager. The argument was about how her daughter's dress was not altered yet after waiting three weeks. She said she didn't receive a call or anything regarding the inconvenience. Apparently they only have ONE seamstress working for the entire store, and she was sick and that's why her daughter's dress wasn't altered. I felt so bad, she said her daughter's prom was a week away. She was furious. And I would be too. Luckily she got her money back and is going somewhere else to fix it. While my mom and I are waiting to be helped, I read a sign that basically said you are not allowed to look at dresses yourself. Not even browse. Fine, whatever, it is what it is, me and my mom wait for 20 minutes... JUST TO BE HELPED. The manager barely acknowledged us! After complaining, an employee comes over and tells us that we can just go look for now until she's done helping another customer. I vigorously looked for 20 minutes and found about 5 stresses I wanted to try on. We waited for someone to come by and help us, no help came. Another new costumer comes in as we are waiting, she looks around for a couple minutes and then the manager helps her personally! I went up to her and told her we were here first and that we have been waiting and she didn't even look at me and she's like "give me a minute." I was outraged. I was loudly complaining and then I just grabbed the dresses off the racks (which we were scolded for doing) and I went into the dressing room myself and my mom helped me with the zipping. After waiting about an hour, being ignored, we tried on a few dresses and left, without any employees saying a word to us. The employee who said would help us, never even acknowledged us. Apparently it was "really busy" the day I went (as said by the workers) but there was legit 4 customers in the store, including myself. But I still don't understand, the employees don't even do anything, they just zip you up and tell you how it looks on you (which anyone can do). It's not like they can't help two costumers at once. I had a horrible experience. The manager was a carless, irresponsible, woman. I think her name was Kathy or something. I'm just astonished at this store. After so many bad reviews you would think they try to make an improvement, but they don't. And I'll be honest, I'm not the type to complain, I'm really not. But this was ridiculous. I was in awe. Jacqueline brags about the prestiged customer service, but they don't know a thing about customer service. Dresses were okay though. Overall, this was the worst store I've ever been to. WORST customer service. Horrible workers. I'm very disappointed.

Yelp
Zero stars. Terrible. Terrible quality. Over priced. Needs to be hemmed and they don't offer alterations on top of big price tag. Any store that does not allow you to return a dress is a store that does not stand behind their merchandise. We are stuck. Will never step foot in this store again. Will only give friends and family a bad review on this place. Buyer beware. Go to large department stores that stand behind their merchandise.

Yelp
When I walked into this store with my friends looking for dresses for our senior prom, I expected to be greeted with eagerness to help us. Instead we walked in, and no one said a word to us, even though I'm positive the ladies at the counter saw us walk in. We started looking at dresses when a young sales girl came up and asked us VERY rudely if we had signed in. We hadn't, and I tried to just laugh about how we hadn't been there before and didn't know we had to do that and the sales girl was just flat out rude. So, we go to sign in and another girl comes over and asks us if we are 21. Obviously not if we are shopping for our senior prom. She then told us we couldn't go in without a parent or guardian over 21. ITS A PROM STORE?! Another older lady then tried to help us out and got us permission to walk around and just LOOK at the dresses. It was nice of her, but disheartening that the younger girls were just plain rude. I honestly felt like it was because we walked in wearing casual clothing. It seems as though the girls there only want to care for the people who are rich. I definitely would NOT recommend coming here what so ever. Waste of 60miles of driving for me.

Gabrielle P.

Yelp
This place is horrible. I went with my mom to get a mother of the bride dress and the dress selection was terrible. There were about ten dresses total. Not to mention that the workers were very nasty. I do not recommend this place at all. There are thousands of dress stores in NJ do not go to this one.

Yelp
Wow!!! How do I start this review? To start with if you go to this establishment make sure you bring a photo ID since the first question out of the owners mouth is not "how can I help you?" But rather "how old are you?". I took my younger sister there for a prom dress. Was greeted by the owner and after her interrogation of my age which is mid twenties mind you, she proceeded to have us sign in and wait even though no one was ahead of us. We were turned over to a salesgirl who was professional but after trying on several dresses was asked to "go home and think about it" because more customers had arrived. This store and its ownership has no idea of what customer service is or how to achieve it!!! My experience reminds me of the scene in pretty women when poor service costs the the store in a major sale. All I can say is I would never buy a thing from this store given the owners attitude and lack of appreciation. The reviews are all the same so it should tell you this is not a unique experience for customers.

Yelp
I totally didn't really know what i was looking for in a prom dress and Drew totally helped me pick and choose which style and colors i liked and i walked out with a dress that seemed to be made for me! thank you so much!

Yelp
What a fabulous store!!! I just purchased my daughter's prom dress at Jacqueline's, I was all prepared for the fight with my teenager. No fights!! No drama!! The staff worked with Sophie one on one. They knew exactly what she was looking for and it was an absolute pleasant experience. I can't wait to return for my dress for my son's wedding next summer.

Yelp
We just found out today from my personal seamstress that my nieces prom gown had evidence of prior work! I will be seeking legal action against this establishment for selling "used" garments. If you are reading this , look at previous reviews.....you'll clearly see that nothing has changed. I wish we read these reviews sooner. Leopards don't change their spots. People take time to write these reviews to help other unsuspecting buyers. Take my warning to heart..... This is a terrible place to do business. I am driven to get the word out there and be certain that anyone I know will not shop at this poor excuse for a "high end" dress salon.... As it is anything but that. You picked the wrong Aunt Jacqueline's! The BBB, 7 on your Side, etc. Will be contacted. Your knowledge of how to treat your customers lacks lustre...... Come out from behind the curtain oh great & powerful Oz (Jacqueline)..... Auntie is knocking & won't stop until this is settled..... The battle is REAL.

Yelp
Our experience at Jacqueline was amazing! We went shopping for a mother of the bride dress. They were extremely accommodating and allowed my mom to try on several dresses. They even showed her different swatches to change her dress. Great experience!

Yelp
The owner was so rude to my sisters & sister in law. She basically had us stand and wait there while she had a stylist to come get us. All we wanted was to look around, after she said walk in's were acceptable. Then she told us they dont specialize in bridesmaids dresses, but we just wanted to look around. Basically felt like we were kicked out of the store. Very rude, i dont recommend going there.
