The Best Restaurants Near The Eiffel Tower - Paris - The Infatuation

"There are plenty of bistros within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower, but if you just can’t eat another steak au poivre, head to Jais. In addition to traditional French plates like pâté en croûte studded with pistachios, they have a handful of international-leaning dishes like a great tuna carpaccio topped with a bulgogi sauce and zucchini flower tempura with stracciatella. Wherever you land, save room for the lemon pie with sky-high meringue." - emily monaco, sophie friedman, sara lieberman

This has become my favorite restaurant in Paris. After our first visit, we came back several times. The presentation is very creative and the food is absolutely delicious. The staff is polite, attentive, and welcoming. We visited both with a reservation and without one, and each time they managed to find a table for us, which was very kind and appreciated. We also ordered some special dishes that are not listed on the menu but can still be requested. One of them is the “Eiffel Tower”, their signature dish with steak, foie gras, lobster, and caviar. It was incredibly tasty and very filling. The pasta with red caviar is outstanding, and the beef tartare with bone marrow is exceptional, rich, and perfectly balanced. Desserts are also amazing. The chocolate mousse is excellent, the lemon tart is fresh and flavorful, and my absolute favorite is their madeleine. It is not a classic madeleine but a special version with a unique presentation, and it is truly delicious. Highly recommended. We will definitely come back again.

Honestly, this place truly lives up to the hype. The atmosphere is always vibrant and welcoming, with a crowd that feels effortlessly cool. While it sometimes takes a little time to get your table, that moment at the bar becomes part of the experience, sipping a drink, catching up with friends, or striking up a conversation with someone new. The staff are consistently warm and attentive, which only adds to the charm. As for the food, it never misses the mark. Over time I have tried nearly every dish on the menu, and each one has been outstanding, the desserts included. What makes Jaïs so special is the uniqueness of the flavors: the kind of dishes you instantly recognize as his, and ones you will not easily find elsewhere. It is on the pricier side, but the quality, creativity, and experience make it more than worth it.

Google
Tables are too close to each other, you hear every conversation around. Not enough of staff to provide good service. Incredible food

Google
That’s a fantastic place guys. Really they take simple things which you always have in mind you want to eat , but they cook it the way you get your dream. Amazing menu. Magicians they are !

Google
Jais came recommended and as we were a table of 7 and somewhat late in our reservation, we were relegated to the upper floor which was well stocked for the bohemian oenophile but the great vibe of the ground floor did not reach upstairs. The ribeye was excellent which was preceded by the bone marrow starter - a well matched combo! My request for mayo to accompany my ribeye and frites was met with derision. “We don’t do mayo but we can offer the bearniase”. The scolding from a glorified brassiere was comedic. David, our waitron was excellent until he was put under pressure and defaulted to the infamous French trait! Disappointing was the champagne pricing. No need for a brassiere to be charging like a wounded buffalo for what is supposed to be a local bubbly! The fare, though, is well worth a visit but ask for the ground floor.

Google
Cozy restaurant with a lively vibe. Had a cool open kitchen and the food was great. Tables were a bit uncomfortable as they are all next to each other and tight spaces but it gives a unique cozy vibe. Would like to come try other dishes next time as well!

Google
Foods were extraordinarily great. Awesome wine recommendations pairing with meals. Would like to come back. Recommend to people who like Mediterranean fusion foods.

Google
The octopus was so delightful along with the scallops we had as the appetisers, the sole fish with citrus butter was a stunner and the lobster was so perfectly cooked, the profiteroles were a perfect way to end the meal and definitely was an excellent experience and would definitely be making my way back here at some point. But the environment is a tad bit noisy

Yelp
We came here without a reservation on a night when no one was inside. The waiter seated us and gave us menus in French even though he knew we spoke English. This is the first place we found this kind of snobbery. The sauces were good, but to be honest the meat was tough and gristled. The prices were high compared to the quality and the wines were just ok, and WAY over priced. It was kind of a disappointment. My rating would be higher for the food but the service was not welcoming. By dessert the waiter had "warmed up" to us and gave us menus in English. Always ask when you arrive.

Yelp
Jaïs is an excellent restaurant that offers very good French cuisine. I discovered this place with a friend of mine who gets there time to time--a must go in Paris. I had their tartare surrounded by its green tomatoes--it was fresh and delicious. Their deserts were just amazing: I had their Paris Brest, which was fairly-sized, not too sweet, with a fair amount of cream. My friend had the tarte citron meringuée which was just impressive (see my pictures). As to the décor: we were outside, the restaurant has a few table on the sidewalk of a quiet and beautiful street. I did not go inside but will certainly do next time I am in Paris.
