Jamdek has everything you need to make an extraordinary record. Doug's thoughtful and characterful collection of instruments, mics, and other gear is dreamy. It has a great-sounding live room, two isolation booths, and the right amount of natural and ambient lighting. Oh, and there's an amazing taqueria that's only a five-minute walk away!

100 out of 5 stars. This place and Doug Malone are the cream of the crop. Passionate about the work, experienced at recording music of all kinds, rare and amazing vintage gear, kind and helpful. Such a great experience. I can't believe the sounds this place helped me create.

Everything u need to make a spectacular recording, and great prices. Doug is lovely. The ventura quad 8 console pres sound great when lightly overdriven. Live room has some great sounding spots. A++!!!

JAMDEK is my favorite place to record in Chicago. The space and equipment are incredible (e.g. an awesome Farfisa). Super comfortable environment to work in, Doug is the best, and I love how our tracks sound.
