Best Caribbean and Jamaican Restaurants in Atlanta - Eater Atlanta

"What started out as a restaurant in the south downtown Atlanta area near the corner of MLK and Peachtree, Jamrock has spread its super saucy talents throughout Atlanta with multiple locations. The restaurant likely has one of the city’s best (and richest) curry shrimp dishes. Try one of Jamrock’s sandwiches delivered on wheat such as the “Hotty Hotty” jerked chicken and turkey bacon topped with peppers and onions. The rest of the menu is similarly playful in names and categories, from the “Yea Mon Specials” (try the jerk fish fried rice) to “Entrees to Cry For,” which include standard jerk, curry, and brown stewed meals. Prices are particularly inexpensive, including $2 patties." - Mike Jordan

I'm so glad I found this on Google! The staff was very friendly! We ordered a variety of dishes to try, and we were not disappointed! The curried goat, Curry chicken, oxtails, jerk chicken, beef patties, cabbage, rice and peas, plantains, and the jerk chicken patties were all good! I'm still munching on leftovers! We will definitely visit again when we're in town!

Been driving past this place for a while. I decided to stop in and EVERYTHING looked good. I couldn’t decide what to get so I got two small plates. One is their curry chicken and one is their jerk chicken. I got home and devoured that curry chicken. It was so dang good!

This is far and away the best Jamaican food I’ve ever had outside Jamaica. The prices can’t be beat either. Jamrock will be in the weekly rotation.

The food lacks flavor. I'm Bahamian, so I know what island food is supposed to taste like. This place is not it. I had the curry chicken dinner with collard greens. I won't ever eat here again. But the customer service was nice, though. Very friendly staff. But the food is a major no for me.

This Jamrock location is my favorite of all of them. Since I moved to Atlanta in 2013, the staff has changed very little. Everyone is so kind and helpful, and the food is the best. This spot has the #1 patties of any kind in all of Georgia hands down. They also have the best spicy jerk gravy ever. The other locations are also good, but this spot has always been a consistent go-to that will never disappoint. 10/10 great people, great food.

Great energy. Great service. Love the great vibes! Now as far as the food goes... it’s the best in Atlanta. Hands down. Great brown stew, the cabbage is banging and the beef patty has more beef that the patty can hold. They will get you full! You’ll certainly have dinner and left overs. Try them out... feed your soul.
