The 13 Best Restaurants In Greenwich - London - The Infatuation

"The gorgeous conservatory at the back of Japes is why you should visit the pizza spot rather than ordering takeaway. Light floods the space during the day and early evening, and at sunset it feels really quite fancy, somewhere you’d usually feel obliged to wear something nice. But really it’s just a fun, casual pizzeria with a tacky “How Deep Is Your Love?” neon centrepiece, and is ideal for low-key dinners, solo lunches, and early-in-the-game dates. The deep Chicago-style pizzas are great conversation starters with their thick dough and sweet tomato sauce lovingly evoking the American chain pizzas we’re so accustomed to in the UK. Some of the toppings are fairly polarising, such as carbonara (definitely a red flag) but the more classic choices such as the Chicago, topped with pepperoni and parmesan, are the best options." - Jonathan Hatchman

Came here for a quick bite to eat and had a lovely time! The staff are lovely and the restaurant is well presented. The nachos were unexpected but easily one of the best things we had. The Chicago pizza style was great. We were happy all-around. It was a bit difficult to get the servers attention though at times, but it’s okay ☺️

We visited Japes for Lunch on Good Friday and we were certainly not disappointed. The food was amazing. Personally, I prepared the London-style pizza as this was more traditional, but the deep-dish style was still great. The service was excellent and they accommodated us when we forgot to add something to our order. I recommend going to one of Japes’ venues, you will not be disappointed!

London style pizza was very nice and tastey. Was still thick like deep dish but cheese went to edge vs having lots of crust with deep dish. I had the pepperoni. Tough for one person to eat one alone. I ate 3/4 and was stuffed. One for two people is probably sufficient. Older guy working around bar and serving front of restaurant was far from friendly and far from pleasant. Was terrible service by him really. He was much more interested in cleaning things up behind the bar and taking a break than he was in serving customers. Gal working the back area was super nice and attentive.

We went on a Friday afternoon, plenty of seating available inside and outside. The pizza was amazing, we tried the Chicago and London style pizza and both were 5* hands down the best pizza we’ve tried in London. The service was fantastic, food and drinks were served promptly. We were even given instructions of how to reheat the pizza. The gentleman working was great, he is a credit to the company. We were even offered a complimentary ice cream for our onward journey

Walking into this place you might be forgiven for mistaking it for some generic chain restaurant. However, what lays inside cooking away is the finest deep dish pizza in London. The cheese ✅ The sauce ✅ The base✅ Proper deep dish pizza done at its finest! Will be looking to get back soon!!!

Exceptional pizza, great ingredients and perfectly prepared. I had the London style Margarita which I highly recommend. Great value for an excellent product and service. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, really good.

We absolutely loved the atmosphere of the restaurant – cozy, charming, and very welcoming. The pizza was incredible! Delicious, unique, and full of flavor. It had a special taste that really stood out. Definitely a place we’ll come back to!

We had a Hawaiian deep dish and a Picante London style. They were good but way too cheesy for my taste. Couldn't quite finish them so took the leftovers for the next day.
