"Jar Kitchen is an under-the-radar restaurant not much larger than the average coffee shop, and serves food that would put most smart restaurants to shame. The cuisine here is British with influences from across Europe, and it’s always good and also appealingly, super reasonable as well - most mains are well under £15. It can feel a bit cramped or snug (depending on your point of view) when it gets busy in the evening, but the service in our experience has always been on point. It’s a perfect spot for casual get togethers or low-key dinners where you want classy food without paying through the nose." - David Paw

Went for the Saturday bottomless brunch with a choice of unlimited prosecco, bloody mary or mimosas. Nicely presented food in a cosy place with friendly staff making sure you are topped up! Loved the Hasselback potato with spicy creme fraiche and bacon but the best dish was the Mini Doughnuts, Cinnamon Sugar + Salted Caramel. The place to go when you want carbs but still feel light at the end of the meal.

I enjoyed the express lunch menu. Good tasting food with quality and fresh ingredients. The pork neck was delicious! Lovely ambience and friendly staff. Will definitely go back when I'm in London

TL;DR: overpriced but delivers on taste. We came at noon for Saturday brunch without a reservation. Fortunately there was a table available for 1 hour. Brunch menu offered a set menu or a la carte. We were able to order chicken tacos off the set menu, and they were fantastic. Three tacos in a soft blue corn shell, succulent and spicy. Though delicious, I thought the portion size was too small for what we paid (£14 for tacos plus a coffee). The space itself is rustic and an instagrammers dream.

What an amazing little restaurant this is! The food was out of this world, we were quite a large table and service from the lovely Lucy was speedy and nothing was too much trouble. I can't recommend Jar kitchen enough :-)

“A Café setup playing the role of a restaurant” At the arrival Jar Kitchen looked cosy and accommodating, bread was brought to table “woof” two seconds and it was gone, we asked if we could have more bread, the waiter told us that unfortunately he couldn’t as they bake the bread specifically for the amount of guests that they are expecting!I ordered the OX tongue and the Goose I’m so hungry at this stage, Starters took about 40/45 minutes to come out and omg the OX tongue was minimalist of minimalist it was three paper thin slices of protein “ panic” if the main is anything like the starter we’ll have to go somewhere else for a second dinner! A further 40 minutes and the main came out and again I am not overly impressed, I had two slice of protein in my place with some crumbs of something and smear of something else not looking good, the goose was undercooked slightly and the fat was not rendered properly, and the three times cooked fries I mean don’t even get me to these... they weren’t worthy of the wait and I think they try to compensate the lack of food on the plate by giving you extra, extra over fried fries...it was a disappointing very expensive evening food wise!

It was really good! I liked the food, staff and service. I had two starters for a main, portion aren't very big so we went for a desert, it seemed home made and was delicious. With a bottle of red for 2, it came up at £38 /pers. (inc. service charge). They give you free delicious bread too, which is rare in the UK. Food is original, so will come back!

We booked a table in advance, arrived and the staff didn't have us listed. Once we sat down none of the staff came to see us at our table without us reaching out to them. We waited for a good 30min before our drinks arrived and the food actually arrived before the drinks. The price of our dishes didn't really match the amount of food served. It looked like they run out of ingredients and gave us what they had left. The cocktails were poorly mixed, with one of them having a big amount of honey at the bottom of the glass. The staff was nice but unfortunately they don't take enough care of their customers and therefore I only give this restaurant one star. I came with much higher expectations and left very unsatisfied. Not worth the money!

Small, intimate restaurant with tasty, wholesome dishes from a short menu
