A Hidden Gem in Culver City! Jasmine Restaurant is a cozy delight with bold, comforting flavors. My absolute favorite was the lamb biryani which was rich and aromatic, perfectly spiced. I enjoyed the mohinga fish soup, warming and flavorful, and the kauk swe thoke salad added a fresh, tangy crunch to the meal. Don’t miss their falooda, it’s the perfect sweet treat to end on. Friendly service, great portions, and a menu that invites you to explore. Can’t wait to come back!

We ordered enough feast for a party of eight. There were only four of us, and we had so many leftovers. The portions were very generous. We ordered beef fried noodles, tofu salad (the tofu looked like mango!), chicken fried rice, garlic naan, onion naan, and curry chicken. It was a self-serve, we placed our order at the counter and they delivered our dinner to the table. Friendly staff members.

First time for Burmese food. Had the grill but now thinking about it should have gone for something more traditional. Authentic style, only downside is most seating is outside and if it’s cold you’re just going to have to suck it out! The chai tea was different to the regular chai I make and drink, worth a try. Inside is a mini grocery store which has many Burmese style foods :-) Keep up the great service.

I am so thankful for my Burmese friend for introducing me to this Burmese/Indian spot. The restaurant/market is so low-key but they sell some good stuff! Parking is free on the street on Sundays, otherwise it's metered and you have to pay during the week. Dishes I ordered and liked: -lamb biryani $18. This is a filling dish that is shareable. It comes with the most tender lamb in a bed of red/orange rice. It was so flavorful. -cucumber yogurt. I am not sure if this came with the lamb, but it was soooo good. -peas & naan $6. This was my first time having peas as a dip with naan. It was surprisingly very delicious. The naan was thin and crispy. -Fish cake salad. I actually don't see it on the menu, but my friend ordered this. It came with a bowl of soup. -Myanmar chai $2 for small. This was great hot milk tea. (I didn't taste the Indian-type of chai) I love tea leaf salad, so I would want to try that next time. They have neat items in the market. Credit card/Apple Pay accepted. Bathroom is in the back.

A very nice family restaurant in Culver City. The foods and prices are great and the staffs are friendly. I love their small deli with delicious desserts.

Authentic Burmese food. Tasty and filling. There is a large variety. Helpful waiter. Priced fairly.

A very interesting eating experience. It’s similar to Indian/Nepalese food, but distinctly different. We had the Haleem Beef, the fish soup (supposedly the National dish) and a couple of other dishes. They were all pretty good, especially the chicken curry puff. The banana bread was really good. The outdoor seating area was breezy and nice, but very tight.

Google
Burmese food here is very authentic and taste just like home. Their curry dishes are mouth watering, their monhinga is really savory and their green tea leaf salad is fresh and tasty with white rice. I love their chicken potatoes curry. Definitely try out this restaurant and you won't regret it.

Yelp
My food came via Yelp/GrubHub and although the food was left on the door step and no one rang the doorbell, it remained warm. I ordered an Aloo Puri, a flaky fry bread with an amazing potato curry and the lamb biryani. Both tasted amazing, with the Aloo Puri being the standout. Buttery boiled potatoes coupled with an amazing curry base that I paired the next day with jasmine rice. I could eat it every week! The lamb biryani felt comforting and possessed an ample amount of meat. However, I prefer the chicken version, because the lamb felt a bit dry and tasted slightly bland, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it and would order it again (every shop has a off day). Jasmine Market and Deli will continue to be my go to for delicious delivery food!

Yelp
I take friends and family to Jasmine Market whenever they're visiting the westside and in search of an affordable, tasty option. I've gone here 5+ times in the past year and it does not disappoint! My favorites are the asone thoke (everything noodle) and the paratha. The asone thoke is a tangy and spicy cold noodle salad with lots of tofu and veggies mixed in. It's my go to when I want a refreshing meal. The paratha is perfectly crispy and has generous fillings that will complement any entree you get here. Other great options here include the dumbauk (Burmese biriyani) and the classic tea leaf salad. Portions here are big! We usually end up with leftovers :) the service is also pretty quick - you order at the counter and choose your own table outside, where the food will be brought to you. There are heat lamps for the colder nights so you can stay nice and cozy.

Yelp
Large portions of delicious food! +Chicken curry lunch combo was great value (curry, rice, pickled vegetables, and veg curry side with naan). +Chicken biryani was a big portion and super tender meat, which included the breast ( not dry). +Tea leaf salad was something I've never had before and I really liked the pickled tea leaves. Beware, there is caffeine from the tea leaves. So don't eat this for dinner if you're sensitive to caffeine. It will keep you up at night. +Potato samosas were alright. Nothing mind blowing All of this food made for 3+ meals for 2 people. The restaurant is a market and you can find a selection different Asian snacks and pantry items. Parking is metered street.

Yelp
Good food. I enjoyed everything, The service was amazing, they even offered to help me take the food to my car, because I was injured and in crutches. My was my first time there, but it's a great little place, there's seating and it is cozy.

Yelp
Ambiance: it's a deli style restaurant, so packed and crowded, limited seats inside and large covered patio in front of the establishment Service: friendly but so slow and forgetful, and they don't have a proper tracking system, like number tag or so, initially they made the wrong order and I quickly corrected the items ordered, however, after literally more than one hour waiting time, none of ours was served whereas other people who came afterwards and already finished their food, so had to check with the cashier again, apparently they served our food to the wrong table and that table happed to order one similar item and they took the entire package supposed to serve us, anyway, both parties were wrong and we had to suffer for their mistakes, so we had to wait for the kitchen to remake our food, the staff sincerely apologized for the inconvenience Food & Drink: their menu has numerous items and lunch specials have the best value, served with Rice, Vegetables, and freshly baked Naan Mohinga (Fish Soup) - **** Considered to be the national dish of Myanmar, a savory fish soup with rice noodles, chili, garlic, onion, and lemon grass, interesting combination of flavors, recommend Lamb Curry - ***** Lamb curry and their blend of homemade blend of spices come together of this savory stew, flavorful lamb meat and tasty curry, highly recommend Boneless Tondoori Chicken - *** average taste Naan - **** crispy and chewy, recommend Banana Halwa - **** fresh banana, sooji powder, eggs, coconut milk, sugar, ghee, sweet and sour desserts, recommend Thai Tea - *** canned drink Price: generous portions and affordable prices, about $20~$25 per person for a very fulfilling meal

Yelp
it's been awhile since I came here. Decided to stop by with my sister for lunch on a Friday afternoon. There's a few covered tables outside (heat lamps too) and a few smaller tables inside. You order at the counter. There's also a selection of packaged goods and groceries inside. We got the mohinga, ohn no kau swe (coconut chicken noodle soup), fish cake salad (it's B9 on the menu posted on the window of the restaurant, but not the menus inside, fyi), and chicken samosas. Everything was delicious. The samosas were piping hot and juicy (it's an order of 4). Both noodle soups were so good. My mom's mohinga cannot be beat, but this hits the spot when I have a craving. I would order everything again. And try their naan (table next to us had it and it looked really good) and thoke. I've had their biryani in the past - also good - but I like noodles more than rice. Bathroom inside in the back, and metered parking available on Sepulveda.

Yelp
We ordered takeout online @ 7pm on a friday night. Was ready as soon as we got there. Ordered the mohinga soup + chicken tikka kebab combo. I don't think I've had burmese before, but it was SO good. (I do eat a lot of different cuisines, including indian). Flavorful & amazing price for portion. I will 100% be back.

Yelp
I wanted to love this place... but the greasiness and dryness of the meat just didn't sit well with my stomach :( I love a good hole in the wall restaurant and I was so excited to stop by for some Burmese food! I placed my order over the phone and went to pick up. The service was great and my food was ready and packaged. The cashier was so friendly and I think it's always great to support these small businesses. I got the beef curry, lamb biryani and mohingha. The mohingha noodles were separated so they didn't get soggy which was nice. The mohinga was underwhelming. It lacked flavor and any fish at all! It mostly tastes like grease mixed with dilute curry to make a stew. There were HUGE chunks of herbs/veggies but not any meat which was disappointing. The noodles were much to soggy and over cooked. The lamb biryani was HUGE. There was a ton of rice that lasted so many servings and 2-3 large pieces of lamb. The lamb was pretty dry and over cooked but the biryani was flavorful. The beef curry was probably my least favorite. The beef was extremely dry and the curry was tasteless and mostly grease. I wanted to love jasmine market so much but unfortunately the quality really wasn't great. I would possibly come here for late night munchies if you want to load up on the grease, but my stomach didn't feel great after eating this food so be warned!

Yelp
Everything here is incredible. I'm especially a fan of the keema curry, shrimp curry, samosas, and paratha. If you've never tried Burmese food and you like Douth Asian food, you will love this!

Yelp
Delicious foods. Different curries have different flavors. Different naans have different texture as well. The environment is nice.

Yelp
It was my first time trying Burmese food and I'm so glad I did! The chicken soup was hearty and full of flavor! The service was outstanding. Thanks to Jack for excellent customer service. We will be back again!

Yelp
My go to spot for home style Burmese cuisine. Shrimp Curry and Mohinga are my favorites here. They are the best in LA!!

Yelp
We felt this place was excellent. If you are in the mood for Burmese food, kabobs and curries this is the restaurant for you. We ordered the three leaf salad, the tandoori chicken and the tikka masala. The chicken was juicy and fresh and well seasoned. The vegetables, rice and naan came with the kabob plate and were very good. We also added a garlic naan which was delicious. Great food and great service from a well operated family establishment.

Yelp
I've not had Burmese food, and it was a surprise to discover a restaurant that served it! I ordered delivery, and it came quick, and I was soon ready to dig in. I got Mandalar fried rice, which was so flavorful and addicting: I would order dozens of those! The tea leaf salad was pungent, but refreshing, and I appreciated the fried bits of nuts, crisps, and shrimp in it. The khau swe thoke (noodle salad) was spicy, but the noodles tender and chewy. Overall, definitely a new experience with new flavors I hadn't tried before. But I'm happy to have tried it at Jasmine Market and Deli, as the food is made well and from the heart!

Yelp
I don't know how I haven't written a review for this place yet as I've ordered from here so many times. Jasmine Market is a stalwart for Burmese cuisine on the west side. It's a long-established and popular Burmese market and eatery, and I've been here to eat and ordered delivery a lot of times. I'm ethnically Burmese and grew up eating Burmese food. Because of that, I know that Burmese food is often an acquired taste, and sometimes Burmese restaurants westernize or dull their traditional flavors in order to achieve mass appeal. However, Jasmine Market is not one of those restaurants. I can try anything on the menu and confidently say that the tastes aren't watered down. Everything is just as pungent, oily and flavorsome as the home-cooked Burmese food I ate in my childhood, aside from the tea leaf salad which contains lettuce. The ambiance here is simple and casual. The interior contains a small grocery section with no seating. Their only seating is outdoors, with no heaters. It's a really casual place that would suit for a quick lunch if you're looking to eat here. Service is always friendly and prompt. I'd highly recommend Jasmine Market if you love or are curious about trying Burmese cuisine. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Such a fabulous little market on Jasmine Avenue. Just south of Culver Boulevard. If you blink you miss it. Plenty of free street parking, but check the signs as it is restricted on certain days. The market offers a variety of wine, beer, soft drinks, full deli, including sandwiches, and salads. They have cookies, fruit, all kinds of things. It's so great to have this neighborhood market and if you keep walking to the back, you'll see a lovely patio where you can eat your food or order a pizza from Drew

Yelp
I remember trying this several years ago but it didn't leave an impact but perhaps I didn't order the right thing. I just recently tried it again and ordered delivery and I have to say, it's a great start to authentic Burmese cuisine. Growing up eating this, I'm very critical when it comes to the authenticity of Burmese food and I haven't found a really good place in the local LA area. Most of the really good ones are far out of LA. So I'm glad you can get really good Burmese cuisine here that's closer to LA. Their mohinga was really good and I like that the fish chowder is thick. Most places I've tried it's diluted but here, the consistency is just how it's supposed to be. Tip: it's best if you eat it within an hour otherwise the noodles will soak up the soup and the fish chowder soup is the best part. I also loved their chicken curry because it's really authentic in terms of the curry. The curry I grew up eating was just like this and it's supposed to be red oily curry with some pasty bits. Other places don't do it like this so I'm glad this was how it's supposed to be. I also tried their nan gyi thote. I used to love eating this when I was young so definitely felt nostalgic. I like this version because it's saucy and a little sweet plus you can pour as little or as much sauce as you you need. The tea leaf salad was also really good but it has lettuce and traditionally, I didn't grow up eating it with lettuce. For some reason, some places in America put lettuce in here. But I like that this place gives me more tea leaf than others as I usually mostly just want to eat the tea leaf itself. Tip: it's best if you eat it within a few hours once all the oils/sauce is mixed otherwise it won't taste as fresh. I also got the side of balachaung which is like a shrimp relish. It's not the spicy version but it was still good, crunchy and fresh. The Burmese tea (chai) was also really good, I miss drinking that. It's not too sweet which gives it a nice refreshing balance. Overall, this place had a pretty authentic taste, it's a little market with minimal seating but it was a cute little spot.

Yelp
Seen this restaurant on Yelp and had to try it based off of all the amazing reviews. This definitely lived up to the hype! I ordered takeout. This restaurant is not too far from me so I decided to pick it up. The food came out quickly and everyone in the restaurant was so pleasant and nice. -10/10 for service! While the restaurant is small, it's very inviting and you can tell the owners really care about the restaurant and the space. I personally really Love the outdoor space that was very inviting with the plants around. For food, I ordered the Chicken Biryani. The picture I took does the food no Justice in the amount of food given and the flavor that is packed into it. The chicken was so tender and I could tell it had been marinated in spices. The rice with it was just amazing. The portion is so big that I definitely have leftovers for tomorrow. Will be back to try something new!

Yelp
Little mom and pop hole in the wall that'll whip up some authentic, fresh, and homey Burmese and Indian based dishes. Everything that we ordered from Jasmine Market & Deli hit the spot. I ordered (and loved) the boneless chicken lunch combo and the tea leaf salad. The chicken was tender and juicy, with the right amount of Indian spiced flavors. The tea leaf salad was crisp, fresh, and perfectly fermented, seasoned, and dressed. And the basmati rice was long, fluffy, and satisfying. Service was solid. And the ambiance is nothing short of cute, quaint, and charming. If you like Indian and Burmese, then you have to add Jasmine Market & Deli to your list!

Yelp
We have been to Jasmine Market twice in a month now, and it's become our new favorite weekend stop. The roomy outdoor patio is so comfortable, accessible, and shaded no matter what the weather. The food is absolutely delicious; especially recommend the Asone Thoke (I think I got the name spelled right), a warm noodle salad that's bright, spicy, and light. Parking is in back, down the alley (we had a little trouble finding it the first time).

Yelp
Was driving through LA and decided to stop by this place and I ordered their tea. Really great stuff. As for the service, the owner Ali is a very good guy and very kind. As for the ambience, they have a very cute outdoor sitting area with a little fountain. It's a very relaxing place to sit and enjoy some delicious authentic Burmese food.

Yelp
I was introduced to Burmese food in the Bay Area. If you've been there, you may know there are several wonderful Burmese restaurants there. And I fell in love with the cuisine. It has elements of Indian, Thai, Malayasian and it's own unique funk (in a good way). Unfortunately, LA is not the land of the plenty when it comes to Burmese cuisine. But it does do it, it knocks it out of the park. Jasmine deli is one of those spots. Everything that I've had has been excellent, but I'm partial to the tea leaf salad and nan gyi thoke, which are very uniquely Burmese dishes. The owner super friendly and will take the time to explain the dishes, if you need. Pick up is also pretty quick. Also, a bonus this place is halal and sells groceries if want to try out Burmese cooking at home.

Yelp
I was so excited to try this place and I had high hopes. I will not be back again. First, the service was painstakingly slow. There were only two parties out on the patio: me and the other party which had already gotten their food and was eating. I am Burmese and I ordered the mohinga and lamb biryani. My god, I was thinking maybe the wait is so long because they are really cheffing it up in there. NOPE! The biryani was so flavorless and the worst part is when the lamb was not even chopped into the rice. It was just a rack of lamb with rice covered on it. The mohinga was 'eh'. I also ordered falooda to which the guy kept saying it's coming, it's coming. I waited one whole hour while I ate my food thinking that maybe he's waiting for me to finish, only to find out that he forgot about my order! ONE HOUR for a small drink that costs $6?! Unbelievable, that was the last straw for me. They should really start implementing the other way around where you eat and then you pay. I would not tip this place, NO WAY!

Yelp
On an evening dinner quest for South East Asian cuisine, I was also looking for a good small business Biriyani restaurant. Jasmine Market and Deli has been on my "to do" list for a while. I am thrilled to report that I finally visited this Culver City destination, that qualifies as a Burmese, Indian and Halal eatery. The dining area inside is limited (4 tables). Fret not, there is more seating outside in a garden by the front entrance. The kitchen itself is small and hidden behind the cash counter. Upon entering one is treated to fragrant, aromatic, spicy and rich fragrances coupled with the pleasing sound of utensils, hard at work, to freshly prepare your food. Our dinner selections were ordered to go, and our timing (around 7 pm) seemed a by chance lucky life saver. We were able to grab the last available Burmese Chicken Biriyani for the night (this to me is an indication of freshness). This dish is prepared with exotic spices, ginger, fenugreek seeds and a unique blend of herbs. The combination of steam-cooked Chicken is served on Basmati rice with Burmese cucumber-yogurt souce. It unanimously received high praise from everyone in our party. The chicken curry also met our expectations. The brown gravy was silky, spicy and bursting with flavors. It, together with the tender chicken harmonized well, when eaten with the accompanying white basmati rice. Finally, the must have tandoori chicken. We purchased a full portion and it did not disappoint. Nice color, taste, soft and moist on the inside. The halal chicken meat shines in these menu items. What a treat. And lets not forget the superb service.

Nina H.

Yelp
My first time there. Most delicious lamb curry I've ever tasted. Huge chunks of sweet, juicy lamb in a curry sauce so good that I needed to wipe up every drop with the naan bread included with the meal. It also came with potatoes and a coleslaw. I sat out on a pleasant patio. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
I've been a fan of this place for about a year now and every time I'm in the Culver City area I make sure to stop by, and I've brought along friends and family here too. Always been satisfied with the in-person dining. This review is for a take-out order I made this past weekend. I ordered my favorites - mohinga and the tea leaf salad. I'm not sure if this is on purpose, or not? but the mohinga I received had absolutely no fish in it at all. As far as I know, mohinga is defined as a fish stew? The flavors were good anyway; the broth and the noodles and toppings were separately packed and there was just not even one itty bitty piece of catfish. Anyway the food was still good but that particular detail was very disappointing. I'm going to try again to see if that was a one-off or..?

Yelp
Inside its a very little market with a few shelves with South East Asian international dry goods, can foods, and a small refrigerator with perishable desserts, drinks, and appetizer items. They seemed to transform into a full kitchen and full menu of Burmese cuisine. We ordered the Tea leaf salad, lamb curry, and beef and chicken samosas. Everything was delicious and pretty authentic flavor. I was afraid that the lamb will have a weird meaty, gamey taste but it didn't. I love that green mint sauce for the samosa, but I love it on the rice as well. I guess you can say their cuisine specialty in Burmese, Indian, Malay entrees. South Eastern Asia flavors as I see different items from these country's cuisines. No parking lot. This is one of the reason that peevents me from visiting them more frequently. On Sunday we parked at the tiny shopping center (optometry and dentistry) next to the shop as the businesses in that centwr seems to be closed on Sunday. They transformed the outdoor into a little cute and cozy outdoor dinning place.

Yelp
Homestyle cooking and feeling - they have a mini market store here with goods from Myanmar for you to try something different and learn a different recipe. They have several tables outdoor with string lights and heaters. The food comes out quickly and it's definitely not super seasoned so people that like a lighter taste would find this place easy and approachable as the food is not spicy or heavy on salt/potent flavors. I do appreciate the different sauces and the yogurt and soups they have as part of the traditional Myanmar cuisine.

Yelp
Delicious food? Check. Lovely outdoor patio? Check. Reasonable prices for what you get? Check. Friendly service? Check! It's been a while since I've had Burmese food since we don't have a restaurant that offers their cuisine where I live so I was excited to try out this spot. It wasn't too busy when we got here in the evening probably because it was a cold rainy day so we were able to snag a metered parking spot right in front of the restaurant. I appreciate that they had a large picture menu outside so you could see what each dish looks like before you order. Inside at the counter there's a more extensive paper menu too. I had the tea leaf salad and mohinga. I also had a few bites of the chicken biriyani. The tea leaf salad was really delightful. I loved the mixture of flavors and textures. I'd even venture to say I enjoyed it a whole lot more than the tea leaf salad offered at the only other place I've tried Burmese cuisine before (a popular San Francisco restaurant). The mohinga is known as the national dish of Myanmar so I figured might as well try something that is beloved nationally. It was packed with a lot of spicy elements, with a kick of umami flavor from the finely chopped up bits of fish. The noodles worked well with it and I liked the crispy chickpea crisps that went with it. We got everything to go so the soup was packaged in one container while the more dry ingredients were in another (Noodles, chickpea crisps, cilantro, red pepper). The great news for having the two parts of the soup separate from each other is that as someone who considers cilantro as my food enemy, I was able to pick out the bits of cilantro that would normally be floating in the soup (I didn't realize it came with cilantro otherwise I would have requested it without). Note that for people who haven't had this soup before, it typically doesn't come with a lot of fish pieces in the soup. The fish is usually ground into bits and incorporated into the soup. I didn't realize this until I looked up the dish online. Now the chicken biriyani....omg! The chicken was so superb and tender, and the rice was so well seasoned and fluffy. I could definitely become a biriyani addict if all of them tasted like this! Service was friendly and they were especially kind to the tiny tyke. Since it was cold and rainy we opted to get our food to go but the front patio looks quite nice for dining outdoors in better weather, with stone benches and a peaceful fountain for great ambiance. Details: - Street parking only - Small grocery store and restaurant - Multiple tables available outdoors on the shaded patio - Heaters available on the patio - One restroom available in the back (Yes Yelp, it's gender neutral) - Good selection of vegetarian dishes

Yelp
I was excited to try this place because there are virtually no Burmese restaurants where I live. The little outdoor seating area was charming, and the couple bites I had were delicious...but I only had a couple of bites because I could tell immediately the food had gluten. Not the best way to start vacation! The people who worked there were SO nice, but there was simply a language barrier and I could tell they weren't really understanding my questions, so I genuinely feel like it's on me. For people who CAN have gluten, you should definitely check it out!

Yelp
This is a real hole in the wall restaurant. I'm not an expert on Burmese food, but it tasted like real home cooking. If you're claustrophobic, you'll want to sit outside. Inside has a couple of tables crowded up against each other and also pushed up close to all the market items (regional cooking canned and packaged foods and snacks). My table got the tea leaf salad. Watch out if you don't eat spicy, because they cut up hot chili peppers and mix it in. One person in my party had to drop out because it got too much for her. It contains something fried (lentils?) to give it a nice contrastive crunch. I got the fish stew, mohinga, which I've had a few times at other places. It was very good except that I thought it was supposed to be eaten with lime, but they didn't serve me any. I asked for it and they gave me lemon, which is close enough. Portion-size was about adequate for me, I was able to finish my bowl at the perfect level of fullness. People who eat big portions might want to add an appetizer like the tea salad or naan to their meal. (Also the naan took a few extra minutes to cook. The other food was already out, just fyi.) The staff is racing around, really busy, so just catch someone's attention whenever you want something. They will not come check on you, as I suppose that is not customary like in many Asian restaurants.

Yelp
Stopped by to try some LA Burmese food. We opted for the Nangyi Thoke (rice noodle salad with chicken) and Lamb Biryani. Nangyi Thoke was definitely the winner - it's like a coconut chicken noodle salad you find in many other Burmese places. Loved the texture of the noodles and the subtle flavors. I really wasn't a fan of the Lamb Biryani. I love Indian biryani so expected something similar. But not sure if it just wasn't executed well or if it's just the Burmese style.. but there were visible chunks of white rice that didn't seem mixed in well, and there was one hard-to-chew big chunk of lamb with bone. I did enjoy the cucumber yogurt dressing that came with it though. Indoor seating is pretty minimal and cramped, but there's a cute outdoor area with heat lamps. Overall, $29 for both so not a bad price, but nothing to rave home about.

Yelp
Jasmine Market and Deli is so delicious!! They have a cute area to eat out front. The food is very flavorful. We had goat biryani, beef curry, and naan. My favorite dish was the beef curry. The naan was also really good. I brought my parents here because they were craving Indian food and good, authentic Indian food is hard to come by in LA. While this place is not Indian and more of a Burmese style, it fulfilled their cravings and mine as well!!

Yelp
Best tea leaf salad. The sour leaf is also very good here. Anytime we go to southern CA, we try to stop by if time permits.

Yelp
I occasionally order here since it brings me back home to my mother's cooking. You cannot wrong with anything that's ordered here. The lunch specials are filling and affordable.

Yelp
Never try this restaurant, bad customer service, never informs you, and serves frozen food.

Yelp
I recently visited jasmine after a 5 year haitus as we actually moved to Myanmar to live during that time. First, it's no longer owned by the family that started the business. That was very apparent as I walked in to pick up my large order and was greeted by a younger Burmese couple with the entire business looking very different from pre-2018. Let's get to the food cause that's what counts at the end of day: Lamb biryani - still as good as it was before! Large tender chunks of lamb with flavorful biryani rice. Chicken Biryani - just as great, everything taste just like the lamb Biryani just the meat is the difference. I prefer the lamb over this but this was a safe choice for kids and adults that aren't into lamb. Keema paratha - not as great as it used to be. The paratha was not flaky and thick and the stuffing was not as flavorful. This was a dish that was consistent for us and we always ordered this in the past. Will be a hard pass from now on. Naan and peas - naan was disappointingly thick and not flavorful. For those who came to this establishment before pre-2018 the naan was always the star - hot, crispy, with burnt edges, and a great vehicle for all the curries. This was not the case today. Peas dip also forgettable. Another hard pass on this from now on. Tea leaf salad - taste exactly like what you would get in Myanmar. I love tea salad with all the flavors and textures and this was great on a hot day. Ginger salad - another great tasting salad where the ginger was not pungent at all and our friends were raving about this salad and just loved everything about it. Tofu salad - my personal favorite, but it's not the tofu you think, it's Burmese tofu that's made out of a certain yellow bean/peas. Still taste exactly as remembered and like what you would get in Myanmar. Cendol (aka: molasong (in Burmese) - taste exactly as what it should, coconut base drink with pandan flavor looking worms Mix platter of kebabs - disappointing and most expensive order coming at $18. Comes with nothing but just an array of meats, a side salad, and random sauces. This would have been much improved if it came with some basmati rice. I would never order this again. Meats were dry and nothing memorable. This place is still a great option for legitimate Burmese food and better to just order for pick up and eat anywhere else since they only have a small table inside the cramp store now and lots of outdoor tent like eating. So no ambiance unlike other Burmese restaurants like Burma Superstar in San Francisco.

Yelp
Lamb curry lunch special - good amount of food for the price. And it was cooked verrrrry well. Also it wasn't too spicy hot. A lot of places have really hot lamb curry probably to hide the bad quality but this was delicious. Came with some mediocre naan and a decent korma as well as lots of rice. If you're not a big eater you can probably split the meal in two. Parking only on the street by meter. Only outdoor seating

Yelp
We just tried Jasmine for the first time upon recommendation by a friend. We could not be more excited to have a new spot to add to our regular rotation. All the dishes were incredible with to a of flavor and texture. Our favorite was definitely the lentil wrap salad. It was super unique and the lentil wrap was so crispy! We got takeout bc it was raining but the outdoor dining area was super cute. We honestly cannot wait to go back!!

Yelp
Delicious! This is a no frills order-at-the-counter-and-eat-outside restaurant/ethnic market. Their outdoor patio has plenty of tables, shade and plants... very cozy! The menu here is extensive and a little overwhelming. However, given that it was my first time here, I just stuck with the house recommended items. Tea Leaf Salad: I love Burmese tea leaf salads but this one is very unique in a good way! The veggies are plentiful pungent and almost too salty .. almost. My husband loved the tea leaf salad, too! We would definitely recommend this unique dish if you are new to Burmese food. Chicken Curry: Delicious, complex flavors but the chicken was a little dry. I'd skip the meat next time and check out their vegetarian curries. Samosa: These are not Indian samosas, they're Burmese-style so expect it to taste a little different. Unfortunately, I think the flavor was a little lacking. I would have like more spice. However, I think the cruchiness of this appetizer rounded out our meal. I'd definitely come back here because I am a fan of the tea leaf salad. I plan to make my way through the entire menu. Perhaps I will peruse the market as I wait for my food!

Yelp
What a great find!! I lived in the Bay Area and I found a love for Burmese food there. When I moved back down to SoCal I've been on the hunt for a great Burmese spot. This place is very authentic and I'm coming back for more!

Yelp
Fantastic little Burmese market and cafe, with a ton of character and a cute patio. Loved the mohinga. Cheap as well.

Yelp
Really there isn't many Burmese restaurants that I know of. I visited Myanmar during the start of Covid and I wanted to have an another opportunity to have their dishes and compare. I liked Jasmine Market, I even think they had more punch to their dishes. Lamb biryani: good amount of lamb. It really was good especially with the lamb curry. Lamb curry: not spicy. Delicious. Nongyi Thoke: noodle with chicken and sliced hard boiled egg. I thought of it as a curried noodle and even mixed with a flour a bit. Squeeze the lime to brighten the flavors. Tea leaf salad: a popular Burmese dish with pickled tea leaves. It's very savory/ salty especially with the dried shrimp mixed in. There are roasted peanuts that add in texture. Seriously the food is good. Seating area is mostly outdoors but I had it to go.

Yelp
Super lil Burmese joint! We ate our hearts out and were contented. My Burmese homie approved. They also have a lil market area where you can buy Burmese food staples and what not....
