This place was a solid 4 stars in my opinion. With the lunch deal my chicken green curry came to $14 and change which with tip turned into $17. This is a good price in general but the serving size was a little small for the price overall. I want to note however that I think the serving size itself is perfect, it was exactly what I needed to be full and nothing more. I’d definitely come back but would probably do take out despite my enjoyable time at the place. The food was good but not phenomenal, and for some reason I’ve had a lot of phenomenal Thai recently. If I was coming back it would be a for a cheaper perfectly portioned meal, and once I put 20% additional down I don’t think it serves that purpose anymore.

The food, ambience, And service was phenomenal. The owners are so nice and accommodating and the food is absolutely delicious. I love that the space is Intimate. My party and I were the only guest there. You can really taste how Authentic the food is as well.

We were going to see a show at the Academy of Music and wanted to eat beforehand. We saw the proximity of the restaurant to the theaters and parking garage. It was definitely a plus. We ordered an appetizer, green curry mussels and two main dishes, Pad Kee Mao with beef & red curry with chicken. I have to say the green curry was divine. I wish I would have ordered some rice to go with the broth or have piece of bread so the sauce/broth would not go to waste. The appetizer was delicious and I would order again. Typically when we go to have Thai, we order dishes to share, a noodle dish & curry dish. Both Pad Kee Mao and Red Curry were delicious. We didn’t have much time since we needed to head out to see our show. So we didn’t ask for more rice with the red curry to take home with our left overs. That could be my recommendation if you enjoy red curry broth/sauce. The spicy level we ordered was medium. In the photos you can see the pepper flakes on top of the Pad Kee Mao. I always order a Thai iced tea to help cut the heat if entrees are spicier than expected. The restaurant has a lot of seating. There was a large group (10+) at a group of tables. I have to say it may get a little loud if the restaurant is full. I don’t necessary think it’s a bad thing & unavoidable in some of the smaller restaurants that have limited space. However, it may be difficult to hear your dining partner. Also, if the restaurant would be full, it could be harder to navigate to the restrooms in the back. Overall my dining experience was nice on all areas, quality/taste of food & service. I would recommend the three items we ordered. I would also return to the restaurant if the opportunity presented itself.

Enjoyed going at 5pm. Quiet for a Thursday and quick service of course. My wife having traveled to Thai extensively mentioned she would rate the food a solid 3.8. The lady that served was very sweet and gave my kids a nice treat to take with them at the end of our meal. Thank you.

The Crispy Duck Fried Rice is amazing. The duck really had a crispy texture with and was still juicy. The fried rice with the pineable, eggs and vegetables was also good. That sweet with a bit of savory to cut that duck fat was the right touch. I plan on trying the King and I. This was my 1st experience here, and it was a good one. I have to visit a few more time's in order to give a more accurate review. I want to ensure everything is good the second time around.

Tried calling to place an order, but nobody picked up. I then placed an order online. I walked over from my hotel to find the closed sign up. Not sure if the dining room was going to open later, but the door was unlocked. I came in to find a man working at a computer at one of the dining tables. He seemed surprised that I had placed an online order. I was asked to wait a few minutes for it. The restaurant appeared nice and clean, see photos. Probably a nice place to have a sit-down meal. Unfortunately, this wasn't authentic Thai. The noodles were undercooked, and the sauce was loaded with sugar. I'm guessing they added caramel or honey to the sauce. It was overpowering. Lastly, I paid for extra chicken, but either they skimp on portions, or they just didn't include it, because it seemed like only a regular serving. While I was in the restaurant waiting, the man was answering incoming calls and telling people that his wife (who I assume was cooking) was having surgery, and the restaurant would be closed for the next couple weeks.

Went here for the first time during Center City Restaurant Week and had a good experience. Everyone that dined there for the day had to do the Multi-Course special (they did four instead of three). For my dining experience, I got the Green Curry Mussels, Chicken Lettuce Wraps and a curry salmon dish. Everything was served in good timing, tasty, fresh and served in good portion sizes. I would be interested in going back to try some other dishes.

Yelp
I ate every bite! The food was delicious but the servings weren't very large. Which, in a way, I guess allows you to try more things! Service was quick and the restaurant was quaint and unassuming. It's on a nice quiet little block and easy to get to after you find parking.

Yelp
Delicious Thai food. However don't order delivery. I ordered pad Thai, papaya salad, and coconut soup. Massaman Curry, Spring Rolls and Tom Yum were delivered. Probably more Grub Hub's issue but the bag was also labeled dine in so there was some mix up on their end. They've always been spot on when I pick up.

Yelp
Came here during restaurant week: for $40 you could've gotten a starter, a soup or salad, a main dish and a dessert or beverage other than water. I had the salt and pepper shrimp rolls as my starter, spicy shrimp salad, bourbon beef as my main dish and decided to opt out of the dessert and had a sprite instead. The shrimp rolls were good on its own, but better once it was dipped in the sauce they came with. The curry sauce with the bourbon beef was absolutely delicious and probably my favorite part of the meal. The place is small and cozy & the tables are pretty close to each other, but luckily the place wasn't completely full. The staff is attentive but they only have one person that checks people in and takes the orders. Everyone else either bring out the dishes or clean up the tables once people are done. I will say, this is usually out of my comfort zone, which is why I like restaurant week because it pushes me to try new places.

Yelp
This was a visit out of our norm and we're glad we did it! It inspired me to try everything I normally wouldn't get just looking at what was available for restaurant week. I had the crispy spring rolls, lemongrass soup, and drunken duck. Spring rolls were good, just needed more of the sauce on the side. My girlfriend had the shrimp rolls, and together they're pretty good with the sauce. I'd opt for the shrimp instead on next visit. Lemongrass soup was a seafood like soup, muscles. Shrimp, mushrooms, and a ton of flavor, this would be a repeat item. The drunken duck was good, it was poultry so it kind of tasted like chicken but at the same time doesn't hold the same flavors as chicken. The skin was crisp just right but not too the point it would cause the inside to be overly chewy. I would opt for the beef and potatoes with peanuts next time however. The customer service was awesome, great thing restaurant week is, to get us out exploring new places.

Yelp
Average Thai eatery. Used to be top notch but it's fallen off in recent years. Head a few blocks to Walnut and go to Dara or Grandma's instead for far better food -- and overall experience. Jasmine Rice feels trapped in the past, unfortunately. Decor needs to be updated. The menu is not inventive. The owner IS super nice though. I hope he can turn things around.

Yelp
Dined here for lunch with coworkers during restaurant week and we all could not stop saying how incredible our food was. 10/10! Service was amazing. The husband and wife are the absolute sweetest, appreciative and very attentive. I ordered the papaya salad, shrimp green curry and tropical pearls. EVERYTHING was delicious! The papaya salad was refreshing, crunchy and tasty. The shrimp green curry was everything + more. Perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The tropical pearls were delicious and made me want to drink the milk up. My other coworker tried the crispy spring rolls, beef pad see ew and homemade coconut custard. She also gave everything a 10/10 with zero complaints. We all plan on returning here for dinner!

Yelp
Fantastic restaurant with amazing food! Very very friendly owners. The husband manages the restaurant and the wife is the chef. Everything is delicious.

Yelp
Restaurant week $20 lunch brought us to this jewelbox on 16th St. For starters tried the papaya salad (nice dressing) and spring rolls (crispy and hot), followed by the beef dish (starch heavy with potatoes AND rice) and the shrimp pad thai (light on the shrimp). Dessert was a bit of a bummer -- coconut custard OR iced tea. WIth only one wait staff it is a bit slow on food delivery. Tables are well spaced and there was a friendly vibe.

Yelp
Jasmine Rice is consistently the best Thai food in the area. It has the best Lemongrass Soup I've ever eaten, and their Green Curry is equally delicious. Prices are very reasonable, and service is great and quick. A must try!

Yelp
I would give it a lower rating if I could. I went with a friend for restaurant week 2 years ago and it was the worst service and food I've had in a while. The food is super bland and feels like the person making it is severely overworked. It took almost 3 hours to get all three of our restaurant week courses, which we only ate about half of. Please save your time and money.

Yelp
My friend and I stumbled across this gem of a restaurant and we were so happy we did! It's a little small inside, but it felt cozy not cramped. There was pretty classical music in the background which added to the calming atmosphere and my friend and I were able to converse at normal volume. The owner and waitstaff were so kind! They were very friendly and attentive, and but they gave us space and didn't rush us. The food and drinks were excellent! I had a yummy Thai iced tea which was served in a beautiful tall glass. As an appetizer I had the oriental lettuce wrap and my friend got the garlic ginger dumplings. She loved the dumplings and the dipping sauce it came with. The lettuce wraps were amazing! The meat mixture was super flavorful and had a hint of sweetness. It also came with a sauce that was a little spicy so pairing it together made for a sweet/spicy flavor. For the main course, my friend had the green curry with chicken and she loved it! I had the drunken duck, which was also so so good! The duck was tender but crispy on the outside. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy. And the coconut curry sauce was perfect. I could have eaten the whole thing but I wanted to save the leftovers I had so I could taste it again for lunch! All in all, we had a wonderful experience here and I would highly recommend eating at this restaurant!

Yelp
Got the pad Thai to go and really enjoyed it! Perfect amount of sauce and the chicken was cooked well.

Yelp
Enjoyed a pre-theater dinner with friends here Thursday. Food was excellent. Service was too. Very reasonable prices, two appetizers and four dinners for $100! All four of us will be returning.

Yelp
I heard really great things about Jasmine Rice and unfortunately I have to disagree with those great reviews. I think the food would have been good if I could taste it. The spice scale at this restaurant is very skewed. I worked at a Thai restaurant for 4 years and I've grown to learn where my spice tolerance is when dealing with Thai cuisine. I can tolerate a higher level of spice, but not Thai hot. I ordered a 3/5 spice level, thinking it would be medium. It was definitely not medium. It tasted like Thai hot. My friend ordered a dish with 1/5 spice and it was too spicy for her. It was impossible to eat the food because of how spicy they made it! They also messed up on my husband's dish, but they were willing to replace it.

Yelp
Tip is that their lunch prices are $1-3 lower than dinner prices! This is a cute place run by a married couple, the husband served us and was very nice. They are doing limited indoor seating now. We ordered: Papaya Salad (5/5): very heavy on the peanuts and not very spicy, but delicious!! I love sour food so I always get papaya salad at thai restaurants. Pad Kee Mao (3/5): This was weirdly sweet and fishy, despite the meat being beef. Not really a huge fan of the flavor. Red Curry (4.5/5): I got this with the tofu and vegetables, and it was so flavorful! There were carrots, green beans, mushrooms, tofu, and onions. I wish it was served with some more rice!

Yelp
During the covid 19 lock-down, I needed to try a new restaurant for takeout that I haven't yet tried. Jasmine rice was offering a $10 off grub hub special, so that was an easy choice. My husband and I both LOOOOVED our delivery from jasmine rice. I had the Massaman curry dinner which was a thick coconut curry sauce, chicken, peanuts, carrots, onions. Holy hell it was delicious. My husband got the "King and I" dinner which was also delicious with the green beans and shrimp, but his sauce was thinner and he had order envy after tasting my Massaman dish :) we also ordered the lettuce wraps appetizer which was probably the best lettuce wraps I've ever had. The sauce on the chicken was so delicious, and the chicken itself was so tender and soft, I swore it could be tofu instead Lol! Overall amazing dinner for a carryout experience. I wish I could be dining inside, but hey, Jasmine Rice did an excellent job with delivery on Grub hub, and we couldn't be happier. Thank you for filling our bellies and tastebuds during this difficult time. And thanks to the Grubhub deliverer for braving the elements to deliver my food! 5 stars from me, and my husband!

Yuko N.

Yelp
I tried their lunch during the restaurant week. I had shrimp spring rolls, salmon and hot Thai tea. I'm afraid to say that the qualities and tastes of the foods were not good, nothing special. The tea was too sweet and tasted like an instant one... :'(

Yelp
Highlights: Chicken satay: Tasty Spring rolls: just okay Thai basil, fried rice with salmon: mushy over cooked rice with over cooked very small portion of salmon Pad See Ew with chicken: decent but chicken was overcooked and dry BYOB spot I met up with some friends in Philly this weekend. One of my friends lives in Philly so she suggested that we meet at this restaurant. She recommended the chicken satay so we got that and spring rolls to share. The chicken satay was very juicy and tasty and the spring rolls were just okay. Onto the entrées - - I ordered the Thai basil, fried rice with salmon and my two friends ordered Thai Basil fried rice with duck and Pad See Ew with Chicken. I gave my friend some of my rice dish to try before I ate it, and I wish I had tried it first because it was horribly mushy and overcooked. I waited for the waitress to come and check up on us, but she didn't. I had to flag someone down to discuss what could be possibly done. I had to talk to you three different people and the last person was a manager but she did not want to remove the dish from the receipt. She did offer to remake the dish but at that point I was not interested and I wanted a different dish. She said that's not possible so I asked for the check. Pretty much a waste of money for me. I tried some of my friend's Pad See Ew and the taste was just OK but the chicken was very dry and overcooked. It's very unlikely that I would return here but if I did, I would stick to the appetizers.

Yelp
My partner and I grabbed lunch at Jasmine Rice for the first time during Restaurant Week. The place is a few blocks away from Rittenhouse Park, away from the main hullabaloo. It's not a big restaurant, so making a reservation won't hurt if you plan to go during typical peak dining hours. We enjoyed the papaya salad appetizer, which was a bright and refreshing start to the meal. For entrees, I got the shrimp pad kee mao (decent; spice level is very mild). The stars of the show for my tastebuds were the papaya salad and the dessert, the homemade coconut custard. It's warm and not too sweet - an instant fave and the perfect conclusion to lunch. My partner also enjoyed the thai tea and downed it pretty much instantly. Overall we had a lovely time here and look forward to coming back! I recommend stopping by Jasmine Rice for its cozy ambiance, friendly service, and delicious food.

Yelp
Dined in with my mom a long time ago; the food was good. I had duck breast she had salmon. I believe the owner himself was walking around tending to patrons. Nice to try during restaurant week.

Yelp
3.5 I came to Jasmine Rice and tried Thai food for the first time and I must say that it was pretty decent, not good, not bad but decent. It was restaurant week and I ordered the Thai papaya salad. It was very refreshing for a hot day. It had shredded green papayas, peanuts, carrots, tomatoes all in a lime dressing. It was delicious. It tasted like cole slaw but Thai style. I also ordered the Thai fried rice with shrimp My food was not bad, the shrimp could've used a little more seasoning but it did tasted like it was steamed which added to the freshness of the dish. The dish overall would've been better if it was topped with a sauce. Overall service was fast and efficient. Our waiter came to our table consistently asking if we needed anything. The restaurant is small and seems to be family owned. I would definitely visit again to try more items on the menu.
google avatar

Madge F.

Yelp
This place is quite simply not up to par. I got the mussels in green curry. The mussels were very low quality and the curry was watery. Rice is $3 extra? Way better thai places in Philly, which is probably why the restaurant was mostly empty on a Saturday night.

Yelp
Dined here during Restaurant Week 2023 for lunch and really enjoyed the meal. I was able to try the crispy veggie spring rolls, seared salmon, beef pad see ew, coconut custard and tropical pearls dessert. The spring rolls could've been better but the meal definitely ramped up in flavor from there. The pad see ew and salmon were solid and the desserts both knocked it out of the park. I would go back just for those 2 desserts. The custard had 3 different layers of coconut, tapioca and rice pudding. The pearls in the other desert were made out of pumpkin and taro rice flour. Soooo good.

Yelp
We came for restaurant week so we were able to try multiple items across the menu! We ordered the drunken duck (yellow curry) and the bourbon beef (massaman curry): the curries were flavorful and the meats were tender! We also ordered the papaya salad, pepper shrimp rolls, and the seafood lemongrass soup! The green curry mussels were amazing, we couldn't get enough of the sauce. We also tried the coconut custard and tropical pearls for dessert. We enjoyed everything we ate and we will definitely reorder the curries, the mussels and the custard! The owner seemed to know most customers in there and the host was very attentive. Seems like a good place to become a regular !!

Yelp
My friend and I walked in here a few weeks ago after striking out a few other places in Rittenhouse. Despite it being a Friday night, we were easily able to get a table! The staff was super kind and able to accommodate my friend's gluten allergy- they said almost everything on the menu is gf. The food was delicious! We ordered the pad Thai and red curry, both with chicken, to share. We also got mango sticky rice for dessert. I definitely will be retuning because I love Thai food and have yet to find a favorite spot in Philly.

Yelp
Tried to come here on a Sunday night but the one waitress working the place wasn't able to seat any more people. Forward to Monday late morning, and was able to get a table for two without any wait. Wanted to get the Salmon Dinner, unfortunately the waitress mentioned they hadn't been able to get the fish because the market was closed. Determined, opted instead for the Massaman Curry ($15) - a large bowl of coconut curry with peanuts potatoes, carrots, and chicken. Food comes out after 15 minutes, a moderate sized bowl with all the aforementioned ingredients. After a few bites, realized that they hadn't put any potatoes in the dish. Waitress comes around and she says that they were out of potatoes so they replaced them with carrots. Not great service, because I wouldn't have ordered the dish in that case. We also had ordered Black Tea, but was given Green Tea instead because they were out of the black (she did end up taking this off the bill). Food here was okay, service not so much. Maybe it's better on normal weekdays.

Yelp
I went to Jasmine Rice on Wednesday for restaurant week. The restaurant was packed but we were seated right away. There was only one server working that night so it took a bit to get our food HOWEVER that did not detract from our experience. The staff offered us a complimentary dish to apologize for the wait which was really nice. I will definitely be back when restaurant week is over!
google avatar

Nicole W.

Yelp
This place was just Jazzy! This spot is great for byo and large groups! Came here with 7 people and the server was very accommodating to all o us splitting/sharing/changing, which was super appreciated! He was also so kind and made sure everything went smoothly. As for the food, it was definitely a yes from me! The basil fried was just ok (not a standout but still good) and the veggie pad Thai was on par with some of the best I've had! Will definitely be recommending this place for byos in the future!
google avatar

Yelp
Kind of insanely bad. Bad food, bad service, bad vibes. Server was watching tv on her iPad loudly. Beef was unchewable. Cockroaches in the dining room. Rough stuff!

Yelp
Such a hidden gem. The owner is lovely and the food is fantastic. We will certainly be coming back here again in the near future.

Yelp
I've walked past this place for 4 years and have never stopped in - a pandemic seems like an apt time to test it out. My phone was broken so I was actually window shopping places that door online ordering because I was hangry so as soon as I saw they did that, I went back to my apartment to order. Major plus. The food was prepared on time and was piping hot still after I was 15 minutes late (and a 15 min walk to my apartment). The serving sizes are HUGE. If you can eat a full container in one sitting, you must be a horse because no human possibly can; the (convex) lids barely shut. The order of fried rice and pad thai fed me for 4 meals. The food itself was average. Like I previously stated, I was hangry so anything would have sufficed honestly. I wish the pad thai had more vegetables and bits of tofu like I'm used to. I would be inclined to try less basic dishes if I'm in the area again, but I wanted to play it safe for my first time around.
google avatar

Sarat D.

Yelp
First time dining out during pandemic! Owner was very welcoming and created a lovely ambience for us to dine out Pad kee mao was a little oily but tasty. My friends liked their dishes and overall had a nice dining experience. Everything was clean and in accordance with the new social norm.

Yelp
What a gem! The service was amazing and the atmosphere was clean and pleasant. Dined in for lunch during restaurant week. The food was absolutely delicious. You can tell the owners put their heart and soul in the meals. No complaints at my table! All 10/10 ratings and we plan to return for dinner soon.
google avatar

Daniel P.

Yelp
Ordered on their website, which happily took my money, but then went there and the place was closed. Yet to see if they give me a refund yet. Update: While waiting out front, we got a call (at this point over 30 minutes since making the order) saying that despite the store being locked, someone was actually in there whipping up the order, and said to come back in 15 mins. We did that and got the food. The food was great, so upgrading to 3 stars from 1.
google avatar

Meredith G.

Yelp
Five stars for the food. I had chicken pad Thai. They somehow gave me tofu at first. Taking one star away because it was loud as the acoustics are awful. Chairs are cramped and uncomfortable. The server was slow and made a couple errors. I would do take out next time.

Philly H.

Yelp
Delicious food and friendly staff. Excellent choice if you're looking for a Thai BYOB in the city. Owners are helpful and attentive. The food is packed with flavor and made with care. They're really popular as a take-out option as well. The space is small if you're looking for an intimate feel and is great for a first date dinner or an anniversary celebration. Check 'em out P.S. The Lemongrass Soup is one of the best!
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
Four of us went here for dinner pre-theater. Food was very good, but the menu was kind of limited, especially since the other three are vegetarian. This was our second visit, and the consensus is to find another place for the next show. We will undoubtedly be back. It's just not the kind of place to go for every night out.

Ryan P.

Yelp
TL;DR: Waited a really long time for food; we opened the food to find things missing and swapped; bad quality; manager ghosted my calls for two weeks; DON'T COME HERE Let me start this review by saying that I used to work in the restaurant industry, so I understand the difficulties that may happen on the day to day and understand it can be hard to get every order to a certain standard. As a result, I avoid writing a bad review on Yelp, even when I receive a "not-so-great" order, because I'm able to talk with the manager and work out a compromise. Unfortunately, this restaurant is my FIRST one-star review. My friend and I each ordered lunch course menu during restaurant week. We noticed that they only accepted online ordering, but the website was not working so we called in. After 10 minutes of being on the phone with the manager, she finally said that she would take our order over phone. She said it would take 50 minutes, which was completely fine by us. When we got to the establishment, it was in complete disarray. I saw a crowd of people waiting outside to be seated. After coming inside, I realized one poor waiter was on for both inside and outside tables, franticly trying to wait tables while also cleaning up on the side. As a result, at least half the tables were left unclean with dishes from previous customers. I felt extremely bad. We asked him if our order was ready, and unfortunately it was not. We had to wait an additional 20 minutes for our food. It only got worse after we opened the bag. One of our desserts was missing. We ordered the shrimp basil fried rice but got the beef pad see ew instead. We also ordered the salmon curry with vermicelli. I understand restaurants usually give smaller portions for restaurant week, but the salmon size was just sad for 27 dollars. Both the rice and vermicelli that came with the salmon were severely overcooked and tasted like a blob of mush. THIS PART is what UPSET me the most. I called in later that day to see if the restaurant manager and I could reach a compromise since $54 was spent on this order. I called and a woman picked up. I recognized that it was the voice of the manager, but still politely I still asked if I could speak to the manager. She brazenly said that the manager is not here right now and took down my number so the "manager" would call back later. Surprise, no phone call. I called again later in the week again. This time the waiter picked up, but it was the same sequence of events. And surprise again, no phone call. My frustration does not really stem from the bad order, but rather the way this manager runs her restaurant. Having one worker on during restaurant week is NOT okay. The way she ghosted my calls for two weeks also NOT okay. Reading other yelp reviews, I saw that people had similar experiences. Definitely will not be coming here again.

Yelp
Jazmine Rice is not just a restaurant; it's an experience. With its flexibility in menu options, fantastic service, and delectable dishes, it's a must-visit for those looking to savor exceptional flavors in the heart of Philadelphia.

Nive B.

Yelp
It's overall a great place! The Thai iced tea is the only reason I gave it 4/5 because it was more creamy and less strong. The food itself was amazing and I would definitely go back again!
google avatar

Margaret N.

Yelp
Unassuming hole in the wall restaurant with minimal seating that blows you away with the food. The menu isn't as long as most Thai restaurants, but the fare is tasty, fresh and amazing quality. Came across this gem on a rainy evening and left a devout follower. Will definitely be back every time we're in town.

Yelp
Pad See-Yuck and Poor Customer Service Our table of three was off to a solid start at Jasmine Rice with crispy spring rolls, chicken satay and Tom Kha Gai soup. The waiter seemed very new and easily overwhelmed but one of us is a chef so we are all sympathetic and patient. Our first entre, the Massaman curry, was very, very mild but good. The Pad See-Ew was burnt. It smelled like burnt marshmallows and we could not eat it. We told the waiter that it was burnt and he took it away without comment. When the bill came there was no adjustment so we politely asked him to take the entre off our bill. Another person came over (I am assuming she was the owner) and told us we were wrong. She explained (loudly) that we didn't understand the difference between light and dark soy sauce, declared the Pad See-Ew perfect, and would not adjust the bill. Um...seriously? We are new to Philly and looking for our Thai go-to restaurant. If they had handled their burnt snafu with grace and showed any customer service skills at all, we would have been back. Even if we had been wrong (we weren't), adjusting our bill by $14 is just good business. As it is, they put a damper on our evening and made asses of themselves.

Yelp
Talk about authentic food! I've been to many Thai restaurants -- and when I say many I mean a lot -- and while the experiences have been okay, there's a flavor prolife that seemed to be missing. Maybe I'm spoiled because I've traveled to Thailand on several occasions and ate where local people ate, how knows, but I didn't have that issue with Jasmine Rice. When I say the food is good, I mean it's damn good! It's been a while since I wanted to hug the chef. Everything is made to order. Everything is fresh. Everything is so good I found myself eating well past full because the food just felt so good in my mouth. And can we talk about portion size for a second. Like, seriously, you're not going to feel slighted in the least. you're taking food home with you, so prepare. Not going to complain... more for me later. The food is made to your liking. There is no way you're not going to walk away with a smile on your face. You can find good Thai food in Philadelphia. If you want the best, then you have to come to Jasmine Rice! (Like now... stop reading this and go see for yourself.)

Yelp
We eat a lot of Thai food and the food we had delivered from Jasmine Rice was horrible. The lemon grass soup was very salty and did not taste like lemon grass at all. The Pad Thai was just a big container of sticky noodles that had no flavor. I ordered chicken and extra spicy. They maybe put 5-6 small pieces of chicken in and there was zero spice.

Yelp
I've been here since it opened. It was so yummy I would come for lunch every other day. Then I stopped going because the food lacked the flavor. I'm not sure what changed. The owner is very nice. Service is great. I wish it was back the same since it's within the neighborhood.

Yelp
This place has definitely made it on my top food places in philly! It's small and intimate, the mussels with green curry my fav. Owned by a wife and husband and they are so kind.

Yelp
Visited Janine Rice for restaurant week. It was clear that the wait staff was overworked. We arrived by 7 and didn't have our food until close to 9. The steak in my meal looked like it was the scraps. Flavor of everything was ok, but not worth even the restaurant week discounted price. I gave 2 stars because I felt bad for the staff who was doing their best but with the number of indoor/outdoor tables all seated at one time, it was difficult.
