Food was really good, gluten free here and they have options for us too! Full salad bar and ice cream machine! Hot and cold beverages… I ordered the seafood soup and the chicken pot pie soup (didn’t know it was only soup) it was delicious! And the only bread is a little piece on the top that comes off easily or just order w/o! It was a great cold day for soup! Sandwiches look great also! The cups of soup were around $7 a piece and they have bowls also.

I’ve been coming to Jason Deli for years, and this by most far the my favorite restaurant! Even though COVID started, my family and I still came here, and it’s never changed! The food is a large dish, but isn’t too pricey, and I absolutely love how they let you get free ice cream after your meals! The staff also have great attitude, and meals are served quickly after being made. The other customers are also very nice, and the restaurant is big and spacious. Although, I wouldn’t really recommend the Mac & Cheese, but this restaurant and the staff deserve a solid 5 stars!

Stopped by Jason's Deli on Canal Street for a quick lunch. Ordered the Nutty Mixed-Up Salad with grilled chicken and a cup of the Southwest Chicken Chili. The salad was fresh and filling, with a nice balance of flavors. Chili had a good kick to it, perfect for a chilly day. Service was friendly, and the place had a relaxed vibe. Only reason it's not 5 stars is the wait time, it was a bit longer than expected. But overall, a solid spot for a healthy and hearty meal.

Was looking for those little muffins in particular! We love Jason’s Deli, had eaten several times in Va Beach and had those muffins. The overall experience was good, the area was ok. Service and quality were great as usual.

Nice place. Not high end but great if you are looking for good food for the right price

This is my office's favorite place to order from. We place small orders and orders for 20 + people and they are very consistent. The food is delicious. The service is impeccable. The delivery is always timely. They are also great with special orders/ allergies.

Lots of space with a modern deli setup. You order as you walk in and they bring it to your table. There's also a salad bar. Prices are reasonable. My eyes ended up settling on the chicken salad sandwich and seafood gumbo. The food was on my table in the few minutes I went to the bathroom. The chips that came with the sandwich look to be plain ruffles which is a nice touch and makes the combos addicting (I'm also tired of all of the terrible homemade chips that plague the city.) A very simple chicken salad recipe that is surprisingly good. They even toast the bread which you almost never see for chicken or tuna salad sandwiches. The bits of pineapple give a nice sweetness to it without the need to add a bunch of sugar. The seafood gumbo you can tell they didn't bother heating up. The lukewarm soup was filled with gelatinous chunks. There is a scoop of cilantro rice in the middle to give contrast. Bits of shrimp and sausage float about, but not enough protein for my liking. There's a decent kick to it in every spoonful yet it feels like it's missing something. Overall, I would say I'm a fan of the place. It's hard to find places that do chicken or tuna salad justice and not just push bland disappointment to the masses.

Google
I stopped in for lunch and went with the classic Reuben, and it did not disappoint—perfectly toasted with just the right amount of corned beef. They also offer a great selection of healthier options, so if you’re in the mood for something lighter, you can’t go wrong with their large salad bar. The service was quick, and the staff was super friendly. Spent around $20 for a meal that hit the spot, and I didn’t feel like I overdid it. Honestly, Jason’s is a solid choice if you want a quick bite that’s tasty and doesn’t break the bank.

Yelp
Food was very slow to arrive. Muffaletta bread had an unpleasant, grainy consistency.

Yelp
So, I've been hitting up Jason's Deli through Doordash quite a bit, and they've always been on point. Today, though, I decided to go full-on adventure mode and actually drove down to the South Loop to pick up my order. Best decision ever! Walked in, and everyone was just vibing - super friendly and made me feel like I was crashing a happy party. Shoutout to the good night's rest that probably pushed me to share my positivity with the world. Now, let's talk sandwiches - Reuben THE Great and The New York Yankee. For all you meat lovers and sandwich fanatics, Jason's Deli doesn't mess around. The Reuben was legit, and The New York Yankee took me to a whole new sandwich dimension. I'm pretty sure the amount of beef they slap on these things should be illegal - it's that crazy! Everything was fresh as can be, and I'm already plotting when I can get my hands on another one. So, if you're into good vibes and even better sandwiches, hit up Jason's Deli. Whether you're Doordashing or making the trip, you won't be disappointed. Seriously, can't recommend it enough! Big thanks to the awesome crew at Jason's Deli for keeping my sandwich game strong.

Yelp
Went to this location for lunch ordered a sandwich and requested no bacon due to my religious beliefs. I was served a sandwich with bacon asked employees to remake the sandwich, instead they decided to sneakily remove the bacon and serve me the same sandwich. I requested to speak to a manager and was disrespected by looks and stares of the employees as if I was speaking a different language. It took less than 3 minutes to remake the sandwich so why not do it the first time? This is my first time trying Jason's Deli and I'm very disappointed! Won't be eating here again
google avatar

Yelp
Straight forward sandwich shop. Had a nice salad bar and soups as well. Sandwich was pretty good. Wish it had more meat on it. Location is nice plenty of seating. You get free chips with sandwich as well.

Yelp
One of my go-to lunch spots for years now. I love their many combos. Everything tastes good, from the soups to the free ice cream. The restaurant is always clean because the staff is constantly checking on the cleanliness of the place. Fresh food daily.

Yelp
DELICIOUS ASF!!! Came for the first time today, was overwhelmed by the size of their menu. The girl at the counter was very patient while I took my time to look at everything and she very kindly answered my questions. My girlfriend really wanted a side of fruit with her food, but I think you can only get the fruit with certain meals or something like that, and the girl at the counter informed us of a hack to get the fruit cup as a side for cheaper. That was really nice of her to do :))) The fruit dip is super good as well. Chicken panini is delicious and so is the chicken pot pie soup. Service was extremely fast as well! I'll be back :) Yay

Yelp
A little pricey but great salad and soups.... Very casual dining with a great and attentive staff... a great alternative to Panera Bread...
google avatar

Yelp
I didn't enjoy the food at all. The quality of the chicken Caesar salad I ordered was terrible. I really want my money back but I ended up leaving and didn't even finish the food because it wasn't good at all.
google avatar

Marc D.

Yelp
Amy, manager and staff, were attentive to our needs. She made our stay enjoyable. The cook made our meal presentation desirable. I will return based on our dining experience and well preparedness of our food entrées!
google avatar

Traci F.

Yelp
My guy & I ordered the Plain Jane Baked Potato & a Roast Beef sandwich. The food presentation was inviting with nice portions. We would highly recommend & come back, but the price is a bit high.
google avatar

Nolan F.

Yelp
I got the new yorker - 3/4 lb of pastrami and corner beef. Comes with chips. The meat was all the same in the sandwich so I'm not sure if I just got pastrami (or corned beef). Quality was as expected of a chain but not bad. Bread was soft and lightly crispy. For quantity and quality, price was acceptable. Staff were nice. I would come back again.
google avatar

Michelle C.

Yelp
The sandwiches never dissapoint! My favorite is their New York Yankee sandwich that's filled with delicious pastrami, corn beef and swiss. I usually order it as a manager's special with a side of creamy mac and cheese.  The best thing about Jason's Delis is their free and unlimited ice cream. If you're ordering take out, the staff are always more than happy to pack ice cream for you in a cup to enjoy at home.
google avatar

Brandon B.

Yelp
I had only been to the Loop location, so this was a first visit. The space is large with a cavernous rectangle of tables and seating, you order as you enter and they bring it to the table. For the relatively low number of people it took about twice as long as expected to get the meal, but they are probably stretched thin like everyone else. The quality was good with a nice Club sandwich on a flaky croissant and BBQ chips, just the right size, refillable fountain drinks with a lot of choices. Nice bonus: you can get a soft serve small regular cone chocolate or vanilla or swirl ice cream as a free dessert! Covid precautions followed.
google avatar

Yelp
Jason's Deli is the biggest scam ever. Tell me why I ordered $7 Mac & cheese and what I received was Kraft Mac & Cheese?? I was in such disbelief I called this location to ask if it is indeed Kraft, and the manager said "we use the same stuff but cook it differently." Lmaooooooo how many different ways can you possibly cook Kraft Mac & Cheese!? I was DYING laughing, but definitely a scam. I also got the cream of broccoli soup and chicken breast panini. The soup had the consistency of sand? The chicken breast panini was the only "good" thing. The best ingredient in it was the pesto they used. Which was probably, idk, Barilla? Lmao.

Yelp
Good food the only thing was soda station and bathrooms could have been cleaner. We arrived right they opened but great customer service hot tasty food. We both ordered Rueben Pickle & Chips. I also ordered the Gumbo I had a half a sandwich my brother ordered a whole sandwich. Good portion sizes for the price point.

Earl G.

Yelp
I had been to Jasons many times over the years and it was good. Today I was so disappointed. Overall food quality and service was definitely poor. Will not be back Worst southwest chicken sandwich ever had. Wrong temperature wrong bread. Don't recommend. The only good thing it was not super noisy.

Staci B.

Yelp
Horrible customer service and doors are broken, it's dingy and not clean. The women's bathroom code is 954 (they don't tell you this. You must guess).

Yelp
I am greatly disappointed because I was told by a manager that I would get refunded for their mistake on my big potato and I just checked my credit card statement and they did not do as they said so of course I did not keep the receipt because me having a little faith in management, which was my mistake, I will not go to Jason deli's again ,please check your order double check it before you leave there and I'm speaking of the one that's on Canal Street in Chicago Illinois. I really wish I would've kept my receipt but it's a lesson learned. Thank you Jasons, deli and management for not keeping your word and refunding my money but I work across the street and I let all my coworkers know to not patronize your place anymore. Thanks.

Kesha M.

Yelp
I am in love with Jason's Deli, I am a fan of mifallatta sandwiches and Jason's is the only place I can find that sandwich. They also have a nutty mixed up salad that is to die for.

Yelp
I've passed by the place countless times and never gave it a thought. The name and log are nothing special so I thought just another chain restaurant. Decided to give it a try the other day and I was pleasantly surprised. It's actually not bad looking. A lot better than your typical subway which was what I assumed this place was. It's huge and the interior is not bad looking. I went with a Mesa Chicken Salad and I really liked the jalapeno ranch dressing. When we were ordering, the cheesecake at the counter caught my eye. The crust looks really thick. The salad was so good, I decided to download the app (take my info!) so I could earn points and return for the cheesecake and another salad. A few days later, using my newly downloaded app that's probably spying on me, I placed a pick up order. It took longer than the estimated time but whatever. When the order was read, I grabbed it and drove home. Came home to see the damn cheesecake was missing! The main reason for coming back was gone. I gave them a call and they are issuing a partial refunded but I'm a little annoyed. The menu is pretty vast and here are other things I'm eying. I've crossed a few things off the list. The chicken pot pie soup is ok, the puff pastry that comes with it is the best part. I like how guac is a side option for sandwiches, it's not bad guac like the grocery store ones. Will definitely return to try other items and checking my entire order before leaving...

Yelp
2 1/2 weeks ago we decided to get a sandwich my spouse got her old faithful Reuben the Great I decided to get something different. We did the 34 minute drive got our food and came home. Service was good, the location was clean BUT my spouse kept saying her corned beef tasted different she was so adamant that it was different so I tried it. Not only did it taste different the quality looked different. Unfortunately now when I ask her if she want Jason Deli she wants to dot my eyes out . I'm glad I decided to get Panda Express that day but sad for her.
google avatar

Yelp
I am a fan of their salad bar. Fresh veggies, pasta salads, muffins, nuts, fruits, etc. They keep the bar pretty well stocked and very clean. I love to use some of the granola and nuts as toppings for my salad. Great nutritional twist to traditional croutons or salad dressings. I love how clean the actual serving area is and how fresh everything tastes. We went on a weekend and some kids and families make the ambiance a bit hectic, but it's ok. Located in a plaza shopping center, there's plenty of parking. They take credit cards.

Yelp
The company I'm working with keeps ordering sandwich lunch boxes from this place. I've had a half dozen of their sandwiches in the past two and a half weeks. Various fillings (roast beef, turkey, or ham) on a range of different types of bread. The good part is the sandwich fillings are good with generous portions. The disappointing part is the bread. I've tried six different breads in these pre-made sandwiches. Each type of bread fit on the spectrum between unpleasant and ghastly. Most tended toward the ghastly. Dry, stale, grainy texture - and not a good multi-grain grainy. More like sand-grainy. Even the croissants are awful. If this place ordered decent bread they would be pretty good.

Ben D.

Yelp
Literally the worst. I ordered a fruit bowl. I received old watermelon and green leaf lettuce. I ordered a Med bowl with no Feta...Received extra feta. What kind of lazy worthless people are working @ that location ???
google avatar

Lucy F.

Yelp
Overall great experience, service was on point. The order was accurate, the chili chicken soup was great. The sandwich was nice and hot upon arrival. The Carmela Italian sandwich is hot and spicy. Three meats - salami, pepperoni, ham - melted provolone, spicy piquillo pepper relish, mayo, toasted on a new sourdough bread. The open salad bar, was a great compliment and they also have an ice cream machine. Will definitely give them another another visit.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious Caprese Panini and Garden Vegetable soup. I am so delighted and pleasantly surprised at the flavor. I was just driving by and was starving before grocery shopping and decided to try this place out for the first time. What a great spot for vegetarians! So I finished my above panini and soup and I was still very hungry and very impressed. I decided to go and order one more Caprese Panini, and this time I tried the potato salad with it. Both were delicious again! As I was waiting for the order, I decided to try their chocolate chip cookie. Sooooo yummy and fresh. I ended up ordering 3 more cookies when my order came out.

Ezell S.

Yelp
I go 5 days a week and they are ALWAYS professional, kind and attentive. The managers are consistent and I have seen them deal with unruly, homeless, drunken, or loitering so well.
google avatar

Yelp
They have one thing here that I really really love-it's their beefeater sandwich. Not this time though! everything was fine except for the beef gravy, which just tasted like water with brown food coloring in it. Ruined the meal for me. Next time I'll just go to Lou Malnati's for their wonderful beef sandwich, because this is the second time this has happened to me at two different Jason's Deli's. On top of that after I took my first bite of the sandwich and sampled how tasteless it was, I tried to call over 20 times and nobody answered and I even called another Jason's deli the one in oakbrook and they really wouldn't help me and I did confirm that I was calling the right number, so I don't know why they're not answering.

Darren M.

Yelp
We are usually very happy with our food at Jason's Deli but our meal on 12/23/2022 was a big disappointment. The chili wasn't hot and the meat in the chili was very chewy. The chicken pot pie bowl was also cold. The salad bar was low on a few items and were not replaced while we were there.
google avatar

Kamil K.

Yelp
Clean restaurant, high quality food with a whole lot of variety and a very hospitable staff. You simply cannot go wrong with choosing Jason's. I can't forget but to include that they offer free ice cream with any purchase!

Carli T.

Yelp
the service received at this location was terrible. i was overly polite when I ordered my food so I thought. I was trying to ask the cashier Quetzali questions and she just looked at me. she wouldn't say I m unsure or I don't know. she just kept a blank stare the entire time. I then attempted to speak with the manger on duty and share my concerns and she gave even more attitude than her cashier. Poor service for no reason at all. i hope whomever owns this franchise take these reviews seriously because their tone and demeanor was completely unwarranted especially if a customer is being nice and respectful.
google avatar

Danny K.

Yelp
Please look for my baked potato picture. It was north of $7 and it looked as if Jason's Deli took 5 potatoes and married them together. :) Been to Jason's in the "South Loop" or as I'd like to say west of the South Loop a few times for lunch and each instance, I've received good service and the food I ordered. Not bad, not beyond amazing, just "A-Ok" as the Yelp three star definition states. Free parking. Free soft serve-ice cream which is adequate. My wife says its not "Culvers" but its not fair to compare Jason's ice cream to Culvers. hehe. It's fine.
google avatar

Joseph M.

Yelp
While eating here with my family, an employee was 'sprucing' up the salad bar... and eating out of it... A lil here, a lil there. GROSS!!!
google avatar

Tina L.

Yelp
I got the half sandwich and soup deal. My coworkers both got the half reuben and soup...I tried some of the chili, which was pretty good! I went with the Southwest chicken sandwich and the gumbo (coworker's recommendation). Both were good, but I think next time I'll probably try the club and chili. Love that they give you free soft serve ice cream! I didn't have any because it's cold and I wasn't in the mood for it, but maybe next time I'll have some. I do love free.
google avatar

Jaxson B.

Yelp
I've been to Jason's Deli a handful of times and keep coming back!! I've had a number of their sandwiches, they are a bit basic but all have a really solid taste and nice balance of meat. I think their strength is the desserts - those cookies look amazing every time I go in! I got a few dozen cake balls to take to work with me and everyone talked about them for a full week! I've always gotten my food to go, but there are plenty of tables for dining as well, with a salad bar option and drink station. It appears pretty clean and there's usually a lot of people dining inside. It is a bit awkward when you first walk in because you order at the counter but it gets a little bottlenecked and they don't have the full menu on the screen. Overall though, I've been really happy with the service and food here!
google avatar

Ebony J.

Yelp
Enjoying a late lunch with my co-worker. Both of us ordered a turkey wrap with fruit. The service was quick, the staff were professional and the tables were clean. Gave them 4 stars because my colleagues wrap was put together incorrectly, not one; but three different times! Perhaps because they ordered a build your own wrap, but all the details was listed on the receipt. Didn't send it back the third time, but next time I return; I plan on ensuring the cashier knows exactly what I want.

Yelp
Jason's Deli In General: I love Jason's Deli. They have an amazing salad bar with a lot of interesting topping choices, including organic options. I love being able to have artichokes and three different types of olives. And their cranberry walnut mix is EXCELLENT, just not a salad without it! They also have mini gingerbread and cornbread muffins that are delectable. My favorite sandwiches include the Hot Corned Beef, which is stacked really high with meat or the turkey muffaletta which is hearty and flavorful. There are a ton of sandwich choices that I consider high-caliber quality for sandwiches (coming from someone who eats WAY too much Subway, it's a nice change of pace to have a quality sandwich here). Their chicken tortilla soup is spicy and delicious and only 150 calories for a cup! The best part, of course, is free soft serve ice cream for all customers! Jason's Deli also has an interactive nutrition menu and nutrition calculator on their website so you can plan a healthy meal. As for this location in general: I'm a regular here and I love the staff. They are VERY friendly, hard working and always get our food out in a fast and friendly manner. If there's ever an issue (which there rarely is) they take care of it, no problem. The manager, Vince, is a great guy and we usually have the same table server (I wish I knew her name) who is always cheerful and conversational in a way that isn't intrusive. I love Jason's Deli as a whole, but this is my favorite Jason's location!

Yelp
First time coming here. This place was definitely more better than what I thought of initially. I never thought of this place as serving alot of variety of warm, fresh food as well as a buffet area. This place was full of people. The staff was generous and understood it was my first time here. Food was out of this world. Their complaintary ice cream was a real sweet treat. I'll definitely return!
google avatar

G R.

Yelp
Still a favorite of mine, not a foodie adventure, just a decent meal without a lot of fanfare. You can decide if you're going to pick something healthy or go the other route and have one of those "cheat" meals. One of my favorites is the Mediterranean wrap, it's 360 calories, a little smoked turkey with cucumbers, and greens, I always ask for extra greens. Sides will cost you either 50-250 calories, you can choose from steamed veggies, fruit or chips and salsa the latter being the 250 calories for sure. If you're feeling like a splurge the large baked potato weights in at almost 1000 calories, with cheese, bacon and sour cream. Better put rotor rooter on speed dial for your arteries. A reliable standby, stick with the simple stuff.

Yelp
Loved the healthy food. I had the 1/2 and 1/2, Santa Fe sandwich with Chili and a side of fruit. And they were courteous, cleaning between customers. And of course the free ice cream!!!

Yelp
Been here several times, Love the Rachel. Just the whole variety of deli sandwiches they have to offer accompanied by soup, a delicious combination. Whether were eating in or carry out. Always amazing and delicious experience. Very clean, friendly staff, and delicious sammich

Yelp
I occasionally stop at this location when the area because I love the Texas spud. Today I had a terrible experience and let's say I will never dine here ever again. I ordered the 1/2 Ruben soup combo. The cashier was extremely friendly. I was starving and would probably eat anything at that point. I sat down and began to play with my phone, noticing other patrons were getting their food. I know lucky number 29 would be served soon. After waiting for half hour I decided to go back to the cashier and question where my order was as the place was dead. Amy, the manager, comes over and I explain I had been waiting 30 minutes and just wanted a refund. I was not interested in eating here at this point. Wow, she acted like I really inconvenienced her. She never apologized but began to tell me how she just did a food delivery and blah blah blah. I am not sure what that had to do with my situation. Amy gave me the look of death when I asked for a receipt to prove I had been refunded. She asked if I wanted everything she printed out? I was not understanding her but her attitude was the pits. She clearly was having a bad day and took it out on me the innocent customer. Update 6/7/19: I was in the area, starving, and craving a deli sandwich. I know I wanted something nicer than Subway so I thought I would give this place another try. WOW - night and day experience from my last review. Everyone was smiling and overall the energy was just 100% filled with happiness. Hats off to the Leni. Amazing service. I will be returning again shortly. You guys gained a customer back. I hope Scrooge is gone though, lol :-)

Yelp
I've never tried anything else besides the UNLIMITED salad bar because it has everything I can ever want. Everything is so dang fresh and half of it's organic too! There is every veggie you can want PLUS lots of other goodies like their three bean salad, pasta salad, cottage cheese, roasted red pepper hummus, banana pudding, chocolate mousse, seriously I can go on and on. LOVE it.

Natally G.

Yelp
I've only tried the beefeater sandwich with au jus and it was so delicious! I also had a fruit cup w/dip which I really enjoyed. The oven baked chips reminded me of pringles which I didn't like but I would try the kettle cooked ones for sure next time. Overall, I highly recommend this sandwich.

Yelp
Good food at a good price Always come here for a manger special with side salad Staff are always friendly and the food is consistent every time

Nicole J.

Yelp
Came here for the first time for lunch on a Sunday. Ordering was quick, once I figured out that they had paper menus on the counter containing more than the soup and top picks listed on the board above the registers. I got the grilled cheese and tomato soup combo. The grilled cheese was cut in four pieces and was delicious. The bread was thick and the cheese was gooey and wonderful. The tomato soup was flavorful and even better when eaten via the grilled cheese. Loved that they have the free soft serve ice cream. Perfect end to a great lunch. The only reason for the missing star is the snafu with figuring out their menu.

Yelp
I tried this place a second time, due to the owner's request... I arrived around the start of lunch rush, and found the place to be easier to navigate than my first time... that time was earlier in the morning and I was dodging delivery and catering staff, and I just left without ordering. I still find their menu hanging above the cashiers, useless and confusing. However, if you take one of the paper menus from the display, you'll be able to actually find and decide what you want to order. Service was "meh".... and I'm still not convinced they care about or even want eat-in patrons, and prefer you just order carryout or catering. I ordered an egg and pastrami sandwich, it was very good, and certainly up to what I expect from a Jason's Deli. I tried the Texas baked potato, as well...but it turned out to be too saucy and heavy for my taste.

Yelp
Just left the restaurant. The food was ok, but it was unbelievably cold....absolutely ridiculous. When we mentioned it to the staff, we were told the owner controls the temperature, he has the only key to the room where the control is, and he was gone. I couldn't even believe the staff could tolerate the cold. I'm not saying just a little chilled, it was downright freezing. Awful to expose customers to that. Not an enjoyable environment at all.
