10 Must-Try Restaurants in La Jolla San Diego | Eater

"Marked by an array of palm leaves and a crisp, white exterior, Javier’s atmosphere is a mix of hand-crafted and high class. You’ll want to start with one of their many premium margaritas — the bar has one of the West Coast’s largest collections of fine tequilas. Try the enchiladas de cangrejo (Dungeness crab with tomatillo sauce) — Javier’s has a policy of only using sustainable seafood — or pollo Josefina (chicken breast with a creamy mushroom chipotle sauce). No worries if you’re eating less meat, the menu offers a full menu of vegetarian and vegan options, too." - Vox Creative

Where to Eat Near UC San Diego | Eater San Diego

"With its dimly lit and glamorous interior reminiscent of an upscale resort in Cabo, this Mexican restaurant is great for date nights or celebratory dinners. Its menu of sustainable seafood includes aquachile and ceviche made with wild Mexican white shrimp or callo de hacha, a scallop from Mexico’s Sea of Cortez while fillings for enchiladas include Maine lobster and Dungeness crab in addition to the standard chicken, beef, and cheese. Order the combination plate that comes with an enchilada, chile relleno, and taco to get a sampling of the menu."

The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the enchiladas, the fettuccine, and the house salad with shrimp; everything was flavorful and perfectly prepared. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, which made the dining experience enjoyable. However, the host who seated us had a noticeable attitude. Despite having a reservation and arriving on time, we had to wait about 30 minutes for our table, and our inquiries about the delay were met with attitude. The atmosphere and ambience are lovely and set the stage for a great meal. That said, the music was surprisingly loud, with heavy bass that didn’t quite fit the fine-dining setting.

We had been wanting to visit this place for a long time, and finally made a reservation online. We arrived on time, but despite that, we were put on a waitlist and had to wait around 30 minutes for a table. That said, the ambiance was lovely—warm and inviting—with upbeat, lively music that added to the atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, offering helpful explanations and recommendations from the menu. The food was absolutely excellent and, in the end, worth the wait. We ordered the shrimp enchiladas and mole verde chicken. The chicken was incredibly tender and juicy—it practically melted in our mouths. The shrimp was fresh and perfectly cooked. We also ordered two cocktails, both of which were delicious. We ended the night on a high note with a tres leches cake that was moist, spongy, and had just the right level of sweetness.

When a restaurant is as aesthetically pleasing as Javier’s you don’t expect the food to be as good but was I wrong. I was visiting San Diego in a group of 11 for a bachelorette party and this restaurant was the best option for us! We all ordered various things and everyone enjoyed their meal. To begin, our table was served with totrilla chips and yummy salsa which had so many layers of flavour to it. I ordered the Trio De Enchiladas Del Mar and the seafood was so soft and juicy and packed with so much flavour! Our server was attentive, funny and kind and although we were a group of 11, he was quick. You need to order the espresso martini! It was the best espresso martini I’ve ever tasted! 10/10 food, drinks, service, ambience. Note: you will need reservations in order to get a table here.

The menu was absolutely a real treat. The food was delicious! I am very selective in choosing restaurants for special occasions. I would say that's among the best! However, the dark color furniture and dim lighting might not suit some! It was OK for me, though.

Had an awesome meal at Javier’s! The tablita was packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and great for sharing. Their margaritas were just as good super smooth and refreshing. Great vibes all around. Can’t wait to go back!

Google
Loved our dinner at Javier’s! Incredibly cool restaurant design, great for a date night. Crowded on a Friday night with loud music but didn’t need to wait or a reservation. We sat on the dog friendly patio. We started with some great cocktails, the Black Mamba and Bikini Martini. For entrees we had the Fideo Del Mar, a fettuccini with scallops, shrimp, and snow crab claw, and the Chilean seabass fish of the day. Everything tasted wonderful. The service was excellent; friendly, attentive, and quick. Definitely recommend!

Google
We had the best high-end Mexican dinner ever. It is pricey but I have never tasted a cheese enchilada like this before! I had a phenomenal experience at this restaurant. The service was excellent!

Google
This restaurant is amazing. Always a 5/5 experience for sure. The quality of their food and drinks is superb. The ambiance is great and the restaurant is beautiful. The service is always consistent and welcoming.

Yelp
I was excited to check this spot out as I have heard really great things about this place. We went for a friend's birthday and although we were a few minutes late for our reservation, we were seated right away. First off, this place is really nice, the decor makes you feel like you're not in a mall lol. Secondly, just know that this spot is pretty pricey. What I got: - Martini de Chocolate ($22): smooth, sweet, and delicious! - Ceviche de Camaron ($26): the shrimp was juicy, fresh, and really good. I'm curious to try their other ceviche offerings now. - Enchilada & Taco ($30): for both the taco and enchilada, I got chicken as my protein and I was pleasantly surprised by my entree. I'm not going to lie, being in San Diego, I feel like we are spoiled by amazing taco shops/Mexican cuisine, so I kind of had low expectations for Javier's -- I kind of thought it would be bland or just a spot for *vibes,* but everything was pretty good! The service was outstanding as well. I had a great experience, and I would return!

Yelp
We ordered the 3 aguachile, traditional is made with fresh green chiles, not extremely spicy as we were served. As a Mexican, when the waitress asks if spicy is okay for the 3 agua chiles I'm ordering for appetizers, you say yes! We get them & they are not edible. DON'T order the AGUA CHILES , not edible. We complain and request they are taken away along with some type of resolution. Manager is requested as nothing can be done according to waitress, except for draining this deadly juice out of all the seafood and bringing it right back, ridiculous. The manager says he can't do anything else for us, my husband mentions owning restaurants and the fact that we are not content. The manager goes on to say THIS IS NOT THAT TYPE OF RESTAURANT- WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?!?! Disrespectful! disregarding our request after our $1400 bill, you would think there would be some type of accommodation, consideration towards our complaints, we do not want free food , but we're very disappointed that Javier's thinks they can serve this dish and then disregard an honest complaint. The restaurant is beautiful, our other food was delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
I rarely leave bad reviews. But felt necessary as we get ready to pay for the bill. We won't be coming back. 8 PM reservation did not get seated until 8:45p. We spoke to the manager after dinner and just simply asked if our drinks could be comped for the inconvenience (we had to rush dinner to head to a show). The manager couldn't care less. He said it's a "busy" Friday night and zero understanding and refused to comp anything. The manager was terrible. Know how to deal with customers. At this price point, figure it out. Super disappointed

Yelp
I love the ambience at this restaurant! Classy and beautiful! I love all the lighting. The seats and tables were very comfortable. Staff here has excellent customer service and was very attentive throughout the whole dinner experience. I had made reservations for a large table and we were seated on time which I really appreciated. We got a couple of guacamole and chips for appetizers chips and salsa automatically is included. We also also ordered a variety of plates. The steak fajitas are excellent! Meat is so tender and flavorful! This location is in the UTC mall. They have valet parking. I opted for parking in the mall, which was still very easy and you have to make sure you save your parking voucher so that you can pay at one of the parking stands before you leave. The parking stands are usually located near the elevators, very easy on the way back to pay for parking.

Yelp
I'm torn on Javier's. I really love the food, and generally the ambiance. Went for and early dinner on a Tuesday (5pm). We were seated right away, but the timing of our service was subpar. Tables surrounding us with larger parties were served before us, and we had a very simple order. So we filled ourselves on chips and salsa before we ever got entrees. The food itself was very tasty although my chicken poblanos enchiladas had vegetables in the chicken mixture which was different and not per menu (I didn't horribly mind but it threw the flavor off). Always a pain point is the price. When the service is spot on I can overlook, but unfortunately that was not the case today. Maybe try lunch? Or even just sitting at the bar where the service and timing appeared better.

Yelp
Absolutely! Here's a refined version of your review with simpler language: --- We heard about Javier's from friends and decided to try it for my wife's birthday. The closest location for us was Newport, but it was closed for remodeling, so we went to the one in La Jolla, even though it's 2 hours away. The place was really nice and the staff was super friendly and helpful, making our experience great. The food was almost perfect--really good flavors and fresh. The portions were a bit small, but that might just be me because I love to eat. The drinks were perfect, especially the tamarindo margarita. I tried the pineapple one too, but the tamarindo was my favorite. I definitely recommend this place 100% and we're planning to go back to the Newport location now that it's open. My only tip for management is that the hostesses were a bit rude, but other than that, everything was great and the ambiance of the restaurant is really nice.

Yelp
It's very pretty .... Went on a date. Nice first impression from valet parking to not waiting too long WITH reservation. 15/20 min wait even WITH reservation however it was a busy weekend night and understandable. SERVICE was good waitress was detailed for our first time there.... Food was good. Being Mexican it's hard to be impressed by authentic Mexican food and tradition food. Just wished waitress spoke Spanish. I am bilingual but my date was not. We did expect bilingual being a Mexican restauran. Food and drinks were amazing.

Yelp
Came to Javier's La Jolla with friends. It was pretty packed for a Friday evening. Our server was super attentive and prompt. I ordered the Sea bass which was a recommendation from our server, it was super yummy. Shrimp ceviche was also a hit along with the flan for dessert. Worth it! We tried multiple cocktails, I will admit the espresso martini was very delicious ! The only annoying thing is your whole party needs to arrive or they will not seat you. We were waiting for just 1 person and they wouldn't seat us until that 1 person should up . Overall it's definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
My colleagues and I stopped by here for a late lunch. We got a table on the patio and we were very impressed with the decor. The heat lamps and fire place was on, so it was warm. I ordered the crab enchiladas, which was made with fresh crab (not imitation), and I genuinely enjoyed them. I don't eat spicy food nor cheese, and they were able to accommodate, which I really appreciated. My food was beautiful and tasted delicious! On top of this, the waiter was attentive with food and drinks, and even brought out to-go boxes for people who wanted to bring their food home. Overall, I had a great experience, and will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Javier's is the trendiest Mexican food place that I've been to in my entire life. I get Miami vibes from this place with its classy interior and people dressed up nicely for an evening out. They even have their own valet service specifically for this restaurant and not for the rest of the mall. I came for a work holiday party last year, and we had a corner area reserved for our group. We had staff members specifically working our group, us in and serving us nonstop sparkling rose wine throughout the night. I had their steak and lobster enchilada for my entree which was so good, but very pricey! Appetizers and dessert selections were very delicious. They were very accommodating with any dietary restrictions / allergies here. One of the downsides was that even though we were a private party, we had a corner of the restaurant for us which made it a little hard to hear each other across the dining table. Overall, it was a great place for a work gathering to celebrate the end of the year.

Yelp
We visit Javier's a lot at UTC. The food is really tasty and well plated. The salsa they serve with chips when you sit is also amazing. I love the martini de pera (Pear Martini). I didnt post a photo of it but it's really refreshing. The jalapeño margarita is good too. Really cool vibe with great music and everyone is always having a good time. The service is really good, they do a good job of making sure everything is great for their guests. Since it's a more expensive restaurant I'd expect that.
google avatar

Kristen K.

Yelp
Ok ok everyone loves Javier's. I didn't. Yes the chicken quesadilla was solid. But it was also 18$. Couldn't wrap my head around spending a lot on Mexican food while we live in San Diego. So many better spots for cheaper. Hello, taco shops! The vibe was hip like a nightclub. Servers were annoyed we weren't ordering drinks, and a little snotty. Would not go back.

Yelp
We decided to visit Javier for our first wedding anniversary, a place we had passed by many times but hadn't tried due to its higher prices. We thought our special occasion warranted a visit. My first observation is that no one acknowledged our anniversary. While I understand not expecting much, considering it's a high-end restaurant and we had mentioned the occasion when making the reservation, a simple congratulations from the host would have enhanced the experience. The restaurant itself is stunning, with modern and classy decor. We were surprised by how busy it was on a Tuesday evening, which made the restaurant quite noisy. We were seated on a sort of patio, which was lovely but did get chilly, so we ended up eating with our jackets on. As for the food, we enjoyed the fish ceviche appetizer and shared a Cabo Azul plate (crab, shrimp, and lobster tacos) along with steak fajitas. While the dinner was pleasant overall, we felt that, in our opinion, the food wasn't worth the high price tag.
google avatar

Alexus L.

Yelp
I got the chicken enchilada and chile relleno. My food wasn't warm but the overall taste was good. It was really busy when I went. The restaurant is very beautiful and makes you feel like you're in another country!

Yelp
I went here on a Saturday around 3pm, before the busy dinner time. I would give 3.5 stars but I will start with what this place is lacking. I was seated for a Birthday Dinner with a group of 10 girls. We were seated near the window and half the restaurant was like an awning/ patio area. It was very beautiful, however it was just extremely cold for my whole group. There are some pits of fire in the restaurant, but no where near us. I would recommend bringing a coat especially if you want to dress fancy. Then, the hostesses seemed a little off/ distracted? I walked in knowing my party was seated and she must've confused me because she said my party will be seated in 15 minutes? I think she just assumed but I think if this place wants to elevate they're service they need to do some customer service training in regards to asking questions about seating etc. Then, I told her that my party is already seated and she said "you can go find them." Correct me if I'm wrong, but I would expect this high end restaurant to know seating arrangements or escort people to their table Other than that, the ambiance is very romantic and the as the day goes on the lighting is low light. Great for a date. Food: 5/5 Personally I ordered Javier's Chopped Salad with chicken breast. The flavors were super rich due to the champagne vinaigrette and the salad melted in my mouth! I also ordered a whiskey sour for a drink and a dessert Flan since it's my favorite. Everything I ate tasted amazing. On the other hand, my friends had the enchilada and they said it was lacking a bit of flavor--- it probably needed more spicyness. Table service is 5/5. The expediters and servers did a great job tending to us, it was only the hostesses who seemed a bit lost. Ambiance is 5/5 due to the setting and beautiful architecture. Just bring a coat if you're a girl!! After coming here, I wouldn't mind coming here, but only for special occasions.

Yelp
I had a reservation and the service was great as to be expected. Place is very upscale and gave a very dress to impress vibe. The place was pretty loud but I was still able to carry a private conversation. We were catered to very often. The servers were very attentive and I didn't have to wait one bit. Steak was well cooked and crisp. The drinks were amazing as well, can't complain. Drinks were little pricey but the quality was on point expect me to come back.

Yelp
Wow, Javier's. This is a spectacular place!!! We went on a Saturday night, the place was hoppin'. Loud and trendy music (with an amazing sound system!) and stunning interior design and structure are what immediately stand out. The bar area is nothing short of amazing, it truly is the centerpiece of the restaurant. The service was excellent! Our waters were refilled frequently, plates were cleared at appropriate times, waiters were attentive, helpful, and friendly. The food runners reorganize the food on the table well and all the food came out fresh and nicely paced. Now the food and drinks... wow! We tried both the Pepino and the Granada, I really liked the cucumber and lime of the Pepino. The drinks weren't too sweet which I enjoyed. The house salsa was yummy! The queso fundido was good, a bit too stringy for my taste but a fork separates it fine. Soft, fresh, and wrapped warm corn tortillas. The enchiladas were delightful, the tomatillo was yummy and so was the cheese. The meat was soooo tender and juicy, they did a really good job on cooking it to perfection. Bathrooms were tidy and fresh, they have an attendant like some nice places in Mexico. The only thing I would warn people about is the music was pretty loud, so this place is not very conducive for conversation.

Yelp
Costco Wholesale in Natomas is a gem. They offer a variety of great service items that are hard to find at nearby stores, and their fresh produce is always top-notch. I often find myself visiting on Friday nights--it's turned into a bit of a hangout spot for me! The store consistently delivers a fantastic shopping experience, and I highly recommend it. My only gripe is that they don't have a gas station, but they meet all our other needs wonderfully.
google avatar

Kaitlyn P.

Yelp
The food here never disappoints, the chips and salsa here are the best. The staff here is very friendly and is attentive to your needs. The ambiance is immaculate and I love it. Although at night sometimes, it is a bit too dark in the restaurant.
google avatar

Sam S.

Yelp
Such a fun spot and my new favorite spot for a special occasion or date night! The vibes and decor make you feel like you're on vacation in Cabo and the club like music later in the evening adds to the atmosphere. We went for date night on one occasion and drinks with friends another evening, and service was amazing and attentive on both occasions. Food and cocktails are both delicious, the Javier's margarita and queso fundido are both favorites. Overall a great spot and we can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Khristion L.

Yelp
Very lively environment and a true experience to take in. From the decor, to the service we had an amazing time. The chips and salsa had lots of flavor and the crab& shrimp enchiladas were chefs kiss. The beans were underwhelming.
google avatar

Hemanth G.

Yelp
Had a fun evening with family celebrating birthdays pretty crowded since it was a Saturday evening with over 30 min wait time. Great ambience with fun vibes and interior deco and many birthday celebrations around our table too. Food: complimentary chips and salsa were tasty and not too spicy. Ordered some cheese quesadilla that came with some fresh avacado as appetizer and margaritas (had the jalapeño one). Fam ordered seafood dish called Del Toro and chicken salad. I ordered the cheese enchiladas (eating enchiladas after a loooong time) and the sauce was just perfect and yummy taste. Fresh, quality ingredients and right level of spice. Service: friendly, very attentive and surprisingly quick service despite fully packed place. While waiting checked out the various Lamborghini and other sporty cars rolling in and one of the best dinner date spots if you are in La Jolla.
google avatar

Yelp
The highlight of this place is the service and ambiance. Our waiter did a great job and we felt well-taken care of by other staff as well. Food arrived at a reasonable time even though the restaurant was very busy. The wait time for a table was very long even though we had a reservation, but to be fair it was a Saturday at 6:00pm and the restaurant was very busy. The food was decent, but not on par with the price. I think you just pay for the name, service, and ambiance of the restaurant. My plate was $42-for two crab and shrimp enchiladas and some rice/beans. Overpriced and I still felt hungry afterwards. Maybe make them 3 enchiladas?? Instead of La tablita--I would get the fajitas entree. Tablita seems like it can feed 3 people. The steak was good and flavorful, but too salty for our liking. Do not get the churros--too oily and bland. Go for the tres leches!! I'd expect a restaurant like this to have much better dessert options.
google avatar

Jack S.

Yelp
The food was amazing and worth it. We got a little to much food, but could be avoided next time. It was a little loud as the night went on. Overall, worth the try! (ps the tres leches cake was phenomenal)

Yelp
Went here after work with a few work buddies , haven't been in a long time. This experience was cool , calm and great! We had great cocktails and variety of appetizers everything was good & hot and fresh! Food good, service great today Oscar very nice , ambiance ALWAYS AMAZING HERE! I'll be back it's been a while and our waiter was so nice always kept a smile

Yelp
I love Javier's!! Have a reservation if you don't want to wait or sit at the bar, but ultimately their food is really good and their drinks are bomb too. I love their shrimp fajitas (this is off an off menu item) but it is so good! I believe it is $46, but super worth the price. I also love their Pina margarita with tajin. Bring a jacket with you as they have an indoor/outdoor vibe and it can get chilly at night, but they play good music and it's always a good time!
google avatar

Krajicek K.

Yelp
Nice decoration. Great service. Delicious food. This is a nice place to meet up friends for a relaxing lunch on a Friday. They brought water, chips and salsa as we sat down. The chips were thin and crispy. The salsa had medium heat, just right for me. I opted for the Carnitas based on reading Yelp reviews. Nice presentation of food. The meat was really tender and juicy. We all liked our food.

Yelp
had reservations here for a birthday dinner on a Saturday night. My first time at this establishment & i was looking forward to It since i hear about It so much !!! I ordered the shrimp enchiladas & surprisingly It was delicious! Never thought of having seafood style enchiladas since i always do beef/chicken . Also, had the piña margarita! AMAZING! i loved that It had tiny bit pieces of pineapple chunks. The decor is to DIE for, i literally felt like i was in Cancun/Tulum! the only thing i would say that i wasn't too fond of is the service, It took so long to get our food, to get refills, to pay, the waiter/servers were great, just took too long & it was a full house but it also wasnt TOO busy. Not sure how to explain It but that's the only thing that i disliked. Other than that, loved the vibes, music was on point.

Yelp
Delicious Southwestern Mexican food. Meat Entrees were generously portioned and flavors were right on the money. We've ordered the Carnitas, Steak fajita, and Javier special salad with steak. Could have used more lettuce in the salad, though... salad green was bit small! Jalapeños Margarita was spicy and delicious. Chips and salsa were refilled as requested and very good. Overall service was friendly and prompt. Beautifully decorated restaurant with many plants, comfortable table and chairs. Love the open-air booth tables! Always enjoy the lunch and dinner here. Will come back again before or after shopping in UTC.
google avatar

Yelp
Javier's does not disappoint! I've been to the one in Las Vegas and this is just as good enough better. I can't believe a Monday night this place was packed. I think every table was taken. Service/Ambiance/Food : all 5 stars!! The service was spot on. The waiters kept our drinks full and our chips filled until we got our food. The food came out piping hot and smelled delicious. If you like Mexican I suggest Javier's.

Yelp
One of the IT spots to hit up in San Diego! The majestic palm trees graced the open areas, which highlighted the vaulted ceilings. I love the ambiance because it reminded me of The Grotto in GlenIvy with the stone tiled floors and white textured stone half walls gracing parts of the restaurant. I definitely felt like I was in a high-end Mesican resort. The clientele are upscale, as evidenced by the high-end cars parked outside this exquisite restaurant. I parked in regular parking (Din Tai Fung parking) lol and walked over, which wasn't too bad. While awaiting the rest of the party, I sipped a Tamarindo margarita at the bar with a friend. The tamarindo was not too sweet or tart, with the perfect splash of alcohol to round up the drink. Apps: Guacamole. This was fresh and flavorful and paired well the complimentary chips. Main: Pescado Del Dia. One of the options was the seabass, so I had to choose this. It was paired with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The seabass was so delicious! It had the perfect sear, and the fish was soft and delicate. Literally melts in your mouth! You get a big portion. Desserts: (I forgot to take pics!). Fried Ice Cream - This was perfectly friend, and I loved the blend of the crunchy, nutty, and sweet crust with the vanilla ice cream. Flan - Smooth and dressed in caramel, this flan was silky and delicious. Customer service was superb as we were constantly being attended to. This is a definite place to enjoy drinks and/or dinner, and I will definitely come and return again!

Yelp
Food was delicious! The servers were friendly and attentive. The ambiance was great, music was kind of loud. Beautiful restraint that always has a waitlist and is booked. I see why. For sure plan to come here again when I go back to SD!

Yelp
Title: Outstanding Guacamole and Delicious Dishes! I recently dined at Javier's La Jolla, and I must say, the guacamole here is truly outstanding - it's easily the best I've ever had! The creamy texture and flavor are absolutely divine. We also tried the tácitos from the appetizer menu, which were a perfect start to our meal. For the main course, we enjoyed the enchiladas suizas, and they were absolutely delicious. Each dish was expertly prepared and bursting with authentic Mexican flavors. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive throughout our meal. If you're in La Jolla and craving Mexican cuisine, Javier's is a must-visit spot!

Yelp
The ambiance at Javier's is amazing. The staff is very attentive and our glasses were never empty. Everything that we ordered was delicious. We had the chicken taquitos, guacamole, enchilada trip and beans and rice. Will be back again soon.

Yelp
Fantastic as usual. Really busy night. Lobster, crab and shrimp enchiladas were delicious. Chicken mole is a party in your mouth. The fried ice cream is out of this world!!

Yelp
Super fun, classy restaurant. Music is fun, the food is on the pricey side but it's very tasty. And the service here is good I've never had any issues coming here, you must try a margarita and the appetizers are yummy.

Yelp

Yelp
Went to Javier's in La Jolla . So beautiful inside . Amazing ambiance . Candles and fire pits everywhere . Food I was 6/10 Only thing that turned me off about Javier's was our waiter . We told him it was our anniversary of 17 years married and friends since for 24 years and we were excited to get dessert to celebrate He brought out the dessert as the plainest dessert ever No written custom anniversary on our plate just a lopsided dessert . For such a high end place i expected a bit more detail . I won't be going back

Food: Excellent, fresh food and this restaurant tends to make it seem more gourmet, although, it is still mexican food; guacamole, is delicious, beans and rice are good. Service: Excellent Ambiance: Beautiful sexy mexican restaurant with lively music Price: Pricy for Mexican Food but you are paying for the ambiance ODD: Pig pet outside was pretty funny, so feel free to pig out at Javier's because this pig certainly is

Yelp
Upscale Mexican restaurant that offers exquisite cuisine, drinks & service. Javier's offers a beautiful setting for a variety of occasions. From family gatherings, to corporate dinners, to special date nights, this establishment seems to know what the consumer wants. Yelp
High quality Mexican food with excellent service! The staff is so friendly and always check in to make sure everything is going great. They made us special virgin piña coladas for my friends birthday and really made the night feel special! Their guac and salsa is so fresh and delicious! But try not to fill up on it and save room for your main dish. All their steaks are so good! The meat is so tender and juicy. A really good place to get dressed up, dine, and take photos! There's also valet outside or parking at the mall $2 for every 2 hours.

Yelp
Fun, chill ambiance and very attentive staff. Chips and Guacamole are delicious! The margaritas are pretty good too!

Yelp
What a wonderful experience! We had Heidi B as our server for a party of 14 and she was so kind to my family who is a handful! The food was delicious I ordered the scallops and I give it a solid 10/10. Every single family member was happy about their selection. I can't wait to host another birthday here .

Yelp
The restaurant atmosphere is a very refined southwest decor with an indoor and outdoor feel. Half of the restaurant is in a very nice spacious covered patio with high end decor. The bar and drinks are amazing. The service is very friendly and inviting. We loved all the authentic Mexican dishes such as carne asada ny strip, Chile poblano enchiladas and shrimp tacos. Everything was fantastic and reminded us of authentic homemade eats. The margaritas are a must try. This place is a new family favorite.

Yelp
It's kind of tricky to find, but it's right next to the valet parking at UTC mall. The ambiance is very club like, so feel free to dress up! The interior is nice and gives lounge vibes. Our server was friendly, he was very helpful with the menu. The wait staff were attentive, they were constantly refilling our waters or clearing the table when needed. The food was slightly pricey, but delicious! It was my first time dining there and I was pleasantly surprised; I couldn't get enough of the chips and dips! I would dine here again. I think the ambiance and food were a little more upscale than I was prepared for, but I enjoyed myself overall!

Yelp
The service was good and friendly which was nice given that we came at a non-peak time (5pm). We sat down and ordered the La tablita for 2 grown men. Before talking about La tablita, the tortilla chips and salsa is really good! I like how the red salsa they have is more sour than other places. La tablita was amazing! The meat was very delicious and juicy. I wish we had more tortillas but honestly it's probably good we didn't or we would be absolutely full and would need to roll out of the restaurant. The inside its very loud but the aesthetics are very appealing. Tune down the volume a bit, and I'd give the ambiance 5/5.

Yelp
Busy place. Food and drinks were good. Server was great. Music was very loud that I cant hear my friends when they are speaking and they are sitting close to me.

Yelp
My husband and I went out without our kids for the first time in around 9 months and we're looking for somewhere special with good food and great vibes, and this place has both! We live that the music was low key and not blasting, the service was great and the ambiance was romantic but also fun with fire pits and lots of art. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because for the price, the food could have been a little better. It was good food but not different than any other lower priced Mexican restaurant. Oh and the chili cocktail was delish!
