The Best Hot Chicken In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Hot chicken usually comes with a side of bread, pickles, and a creamy dish like mac and cheese, but Jay Bird’s in Long Beach decided to spare us the extra effort by throwing them all together into one chicken sandwich. The Macdaddy is not to be reckoned with, and consists of a juicy fried chicken breast topped with warm mac and cheese inside a brioche bun. The chicken here comes in six levels of spiciness with an extra crispy skin to balance out the mac. The vinegar-based slaw also adds a great acidic twist that cuts nicely through the hefty sandwich. But the Macdaddy still wouldn’t be complete without its tangy mayo-based Comeback sauce or Jay Bird’s cayenne-heavy “Big Sexy Sauce.” There’s no question that there’s a lot going on with this sando, but don’t assume the mac and cheese will save you if you go too hot. Yes, the creaminess helps curb the chicken’s heat, but think twice before going “Reaper Hot.”" - sylvio martins

Located at The Hanger LBX. Plenty of free self parking. Great out door area for families. Love the atmosphere. The restaurant is located inside the food court. Line moves very quick. Very friendly service. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is very simple. I got the two strips with fries and they're delicious. Been here before and will continue to return.

Google
Jay Bird’s has one of the best chicken sandwiches around! You choose the heat level and it’s always perfectly fried. Crinkle cut fries are great. I love how you can customize the sandwich with sauce or no sauce, cut in half, great for eating on the go or dipping.

Google
I love me a good chicken sandwich and Jay Birds is great. The chicken is lightly breaded but still with plenty of flavor. The fries have more seasoning than I personally prefer but they are still good. If you are craving a good chicken sandwich Jay Birds is a great destination. I would recommend checking them out if you are already at the LBX Hanger.

Another hot chicken review, ok great location at the hangar in Long Beach, clean, and great service, so I tried the chicken sandwich & fries, the chop, and blazing fries. The chop is one chopped chicken tenders spiced with your choice of heat in a mix of coleslaw, chopped pickles, comeback sauce, and Big Sexy sauce I got a hot level tender which was exactly what I been expecting to eat at a hot chicken spot, good idea but execution was off, vinegar on slaw overpowered the taste of everything else, more black pepper to compensate and chicken was scarce with only 1 tender, would recommend you add extra tender for 3 bucks. Next the blazing fries which is one chopped chicken tender, spiced with your choice of heat, mixed with spicy fries, mac n' cheese, comeback sauce, and Big Sexy sauce. I got medium level, great mixture of fries, mac and cheese, comeback sauce, big sexy sauce, but with only 1 chicken tender, definitely good but again will leave you wanting to add another tender if you want good amount of protein to level out all the carbs of fries and Mac and cheese. Finally the chicken sandwich, great sandwich, big and juicy breast breading was just right for me not that crazy breading with just crispy oil in it, medium level was not spicy at all good amount of slaw nothing too overpowering, come back sauce is good but I had better from other places, brioche bun complements everything between them buns, fries are good too, crinkle cut nice and crispy! One of my favorite chicken sandwiches I've had, would recommend the sandwich first and foremost as a real meal everything else as a snack unless you add extra chicken... overall great place for a chicken sandwich would recommend. 😋

Google
We were staying at the Hampton inn and the front desk recommended this place. The fried chicken was great and so were the fries, but the potato salad was just okay. We loved the sauces that came with the chicken. We went around lunch on a Friday and waited about 20 minutes for our food. There was a constant line the whole time we were eating and seemed like the most popular place in the venue.

Google
My kids love spicy and wanted to try this place when we got to LA. We had some hours to kill until our Airbnb was ready so we picked up our rental and headed to Long Beach on the 405. Odd to be traveling at 65 on a weekday on the freeway but that’s what the pandemic has done. Kids were not disappointed. Two thumbs up from each (that’s 4 thumbs up for the math challenged). I had the slightly spicy French fries and lemonade. Very tasty. You can only eat on premises outdoors. The place is called The Hanger and it’s a food court. There are a couple of other interesting places inside.

Google
Line was super long but totally worth it. I ordered the chicken sandwich medium heat / mac n cheese, chicken strips med heat with fries, fresh lemonade and was gifted a waffle with ice cream and mango puree. It was all delish and best of all NOT DRY!!. The staff was busy but still looked up at the customers and smiled and gave friendly service.

Yelp
If you're craving a chicken sandwich that actually delivers on flavor, Jay Bird's Chicken has you covered. The sandwich comes out hot, with a crispy golden crust that stays crunchy even after a few bites, and the chicken itself is juicy--not that dry, sad stuff you get elsewhere. They've nailed the seasoning too, so every bite is satisfying without being overpowering. The seasoned fries are no afterthought--they're hot, crispy, and perfectly spiced, the kind of side you actually finish instead of picking at. Service is quick and friendly, and the place has a laid-back vibe that works whether you're grabbing food to go or eating in. It's not overcomplicated--just really solid, well-made chicken and fries. I'll be back.

Yelp
PROS: - Located inside the LBX Hangar. - The food is fine. Nothing to rave about. CONS: - The employees here don't appear to be too professional. I saw one girl behind the counter drinking and eating. - When your food is ready, they call your number. They just leave the food on the counter. Technically, anyone could just walk by and take it.
google avatar

Yelp
Located inside the Hangar, there are a bunch of food options to choose from and if you're craving a solid chicken sandwich, Jay Bird's Chicken will hit the spot. They churn out orders pretty quickly and this place seems to be one of the more popular spots inside the food hall. I got the traditional chicken sandwich with fries and I was pretty happy. The chicken was moist and juicy. not as crispy as I would've liked but it was fine. The fries were a little on the soggy side but that's probably because of the to-go box packaging. All in all, a solid spot for a chicken sandwich.

Yelp
I'll keep this review short and sweet. The food here is LEGIT! Everything is made fresh right in front of you. They season the chicken. They season the fries. The food came out hot, spicy, and flavorful! Prices are reasonable and you get generous portions. I was very impressed very impressed with how juicy the chicken filet was, they cooked it to perfection! Highly recommend you get a side of ranch and comeback sauce to go along with the food. Next time I want to try the big sexy sauce and probably will go for the hot level to really bring some kick and spice to my tastebuds! Lastly, the service here was great and there is plenty of seating inside The Hangar and also outside.
google avatar

Yelp
The chicken was delicious! The Smokey ketchup was also yummy. Mac and cheese was good but personally could have used a touch of salt. Fries weren't anything special, could have been a little crispier. Overall, it was good and I'd try the sandwich if I'm back in town!
google avatar

Andrew Y.

Yelp
Located inside a food hall with many other restaurants to choose from. I got the Mac Daddy Sandwich and Fries. The chicken was not super crispy. Mac and Cheese was relatively tasteless, it was more so there for texture. Fries were seasoned pretty well and fairly crispy. Portion size is pretty good, as I felt quite full after the meal. I ordered medium and it was not spicy in my opinion, and I am pretty good with spice. After tax the sandwich was maybe $17 give or take Rating: Overall, I'd give this place a 4.5/10. Relatively harmless and mid experience. Food was not special, and didn't really taste like anything. The price of $17 post tax brings the score down below mid. Probably would not come back but the meal was filling at least

Yelp
Dry old overcooked never again waste of money. Like others 2 days old then microwaved

Yelp
OMG!!! Tried Jay Birds chicken for the first time today and I'm OBSESSED!!!! The portions are huge so I have left overs!! The only down side is the limited seating but luckily I was able to find some empty chairs and squeezed into a table. Another downside, I'm not really a fine of lemonade or tea (which are the only drink options) so I walked around to find another drink of my liking. I would maybe even recommend bringing your own drink but I know that's not necessary since lemonade and tea are very popular and most people like it.

Jaiden L.

Yelp
Upon arriving i read a review saying how the workers eat while making the food. While i was waiting for my food a customer made a comment on a worker(blonde) eating behind the counter, she replied with "and who gon stop me" and smirked. Honestly kinda crazy response to say in front of a bunch of customers. Then my $20 sandwhich proceeded to be mid. Save the trip from here.

Steve H.

Yelp
Sunday 1:30, I order the chicken sandwich, I see on screen she typed the Baby Jay chicken sandwich. I say I don't want the Baby Jay, the regular chicken sandwich. She tells me that is the chicken sandwich, she insists that. The order came out 30 seconds later, cold of course.

Yelp
Yum!!! I got the blazin fries and I would definitely recommend. I loved the mild and the mac is great with the fries and chicken. I prefer this to crimson coward ! Its in a indoor mall type place with 10 other food shops so you can come with your family and all get your cravings satisfied!

Yelp
Fast and friendly service. I wasn't sure what to eat for lunch and decided to walk around the Hanger to see what the other patrons were eating. Most tables had boxes from Jay Bird's, so I decided to try them (was a great decision). Got some crispy tenders on top of a slice of toast with two little waffles on the side. Was the perfect amount for lunch!
google avatar

Yelp
Great chicken spot inside the Long Beach Exchange. My partner turned me on to it; it's her absolute favorite hot chicken spot and while we have moved away from the LBC, admittedly we still stop in here whenever we are in the area for a doctor's appointment. Their chicken sandwiches are perfectly crispy and delish and their curly fries are out of this world. While it's not the healthiest of eats, there's something about Jay Bird's that just hits right especially after a challenging day. Definitely recommend! And if you're curious about the vibe: it's the LBX: one of the coolest venues (IMHO) and food halls in Long Beach, especially if you're an airplane nerd like myself. Check it out!
google avatar

Yelp
We got the chicken sandwich and it was really good. There are seats all over the place you might just need to look out for it, if it is busy.

Yelp
Great food but don't underestimate the spice, it will get ya! Jaybird delivers your typical Nashville chicken sammies with some extra heat to it. You have the options to go with a sandwich or the chicken itself and you get to choose its spice level. Spice level ranges from no spice, mild, medium, hot, very hot, and very very hot (I forgot the name they called it). Every meal comes with fries and I made the smart decision to get very spicy on an empty stomach. Very delicious sammie, BUT I WAS DYING. I almost got the most spiciest one too. Thankfully I had some sense but most my sense was out the window. On the side I got their mac n cheese, which I do really love. It's rich and creamy and white cheddar, white a lot of places don't really go that route for mac n cheese. The service was good. Nothing much to say about it. It's an in and out type of establishment. The employees were kind though and that's all that really matters. The layout of the place is located in LBX so the ambiance of it is already perfect because you can just take the food to the outdoor area and enjoy your meal while you suffer in silence (or out loud like me). I'd take the food togo if you're going to get it spicy and you don't want to publicly embarass yourself. But great place for a chicken sammie!

Yelp
I DREAM about this chicken sandwich and have only one regret about moving away from Long Beach, is that I had to leave Jay Bird's behind. I hate to say I never try anything else when I come to the Hangar now because this is my go to! It was also my comfort food post doctor's appointments because it was so close. The sandwiches are always juicy and I can't ever not pair them with the mac and cheese (on or on the side) and an Arnold Palmer. The Lemonade is served and there's always fresh tea on the counter. The fries are crinkle cut and seasoned to perfection and my mouth is watering now just thinking of it all. The gals working are always smiling and kind and you can even sign up for a rewards system that has earned me multiple complimentary items now. I hope they open one closer to San Diego in the near future!

Yelp
if i could give this zero stars i would just to leave a review i'll leave it at one. Anyways there was a literal dead bug inside my food i was so repulsed i'll never be coming back.
google avatar

Yelp
I've had Jay Bird's before when Nashville hot chicken was first getting really popular and I definitely remember enjoying their chicken sandwich. We recently went back and tried their Blazin fries and they were sooo good!! Plus only about $9 and they're huge! My partner and I shared them and I was stuffed. The fries are crinkle cut topped with mac n' cheese, a chopped tender (we got medium spice), and comeback sauce. At first I thought it'd be overkill with the mac n' cheese on top but it works and gives it the oozy cheese flavor. Almost half way through we realized we forgot to ask for pickles! This really elevated the dish (in my opinion) and they give them for free. I would definitely order again!
google avatar

Hanna Y.

Yelp
Oh man the I thought the Blazin Fries were SOOO good! I love the blend of chicken, mac and cheese, fries, and sauce. It was a lot of food so I took half home and it was just as amazing the next day. The chicken sandwich was good as well, but I liked the fries more. Plenty of seating, you just have to look around. Parking was easy since it's a whole plaza.
google avatar

Danielle D.

Yelp
I've always loved jay birds and I've been to this location many times. This time, as well as the last time I was here, I ordered a hot sandwich and the sandwich I received was mild. Not even the upper end of mild. I could barely taste a hint of spice. The fries were spicier than my sandwich. I wasn't able to go talk to them and I can't find anywhere on the website for feedback or surveys. I'm not sure why they have stopped adding spice when hot is requested or if I've just gotten unlucky. I'll try again one more time but specify what happened and see if I actually get a spicy sandwich again finally. The flavors are good though and the service is fast. Fries are good and I love their ranch.

Yelp
Finally got a chance to visit The Hanger at LBX and after a few go-rounds, I decided on Jay Bird's Chicken because I typically love Nashville Hot Chicken. Jay Bird's chicken sandwich did not disappoint! I opted for the Baby Jay which included 4 oz. of Chicken Breast that was topped with their infamous "Comeback Sauce" as well as dill pickles on a brioche bun. I ordered my sandwich "mild" and was shocked when there was basically no kick at all! I also ordered a side of coleslaw and was wildly disappointed by the taste and realized my Baby Jay sandwich also came with coleslaw which must have been a mistake. If it wasn't a mistake, then I wish the employee would have told me before (or after) I ordered the side - particularly because I even asked her about the taste! I wish there was more mayo in the coleslaw. I did not order any sauces because they all seemed to cost extra $$$. Anyway, I thought Jay Bird's was decent and would order from here again. I love that there are so many options in The Hanger. I also liked that there was seating both inside and outside. I also obviously loved realizing there was a check in offer - I was able to get a free order of waffles and they seriously hit the spot. Thank you Jay Bird's! See you again soon!
google avatar

Rom H.

Yelp
Easy order from the menu. I was craving something like chick fil A and Jay Bird got it. Medium spicy wasn't spicy for me, next time I'll get a higher level.
google avatar

Etienne H.

Yelp
A must do at The Hangar - and if you're an active Yelper, you can score a free Waffle! Try The Chop which comes with no bun (if you're watching carbs!) Plenty of parking nearby including EV charging.
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
This Jay Birds is located inside LBX. They've got a few barstool seats within their space but there's also plenty of common area seating shared with other restaurants. Good sized portions and tender chicken served hot. You can choose the spice levels and between hot to their hottest is a pretty big jump.
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
I decided to give Jay Birds another try since the first time was during COVID. Now I remember why I haven't been back sooner. The sandwiches are dry and plain. With other competitors, I would just recommend you drive two more minutes down to Cluck n Blaze. The service was just okay and they had forgotten the fries for my order. This place is shared with other food vendors at the LBX Hanger so there is plenty of seating inside and outside. As for the parking, it can be tricky depending on the day you go.

Daniel G.

Yelp
DO NOT EAT HERE!!! I was eating in their bar/counter and I saw a roach running across the counter as I was eating I was appalled and disgusted I went to throw my food away in the trash and as I was walking out of the sit-down area I saw more roaches running up the wall. This place is disgusting.
google avatar

Kelsey N.

Yelp
One of the best things to exist are Jay Bird's french fries. I haven't ordered anything but fries there for a long time but when I just order fries the service is so quick. The line can get really long but you can also order online to make it easier. It's located in the Hanger which is a great space.
google avatar

Danielle B.

Yelp
Jay Birds at the Hangar at LBX is the only location I've been to so far and it's always good food! Came on my lunch break and found a parking spot right out in front which is rare.. Parking at LBX can be hard, especially when it's busy, particularly during lunch. It's usually takes a few min to find a space. Jay Birds Nashville hot chicken sandwich spice levels range from plain jay to fire. I will never be a fire person lol so mild-medium is perfect for me. Sometimes the hubby does medium, or even hot. On my last visit I went with Mild since I was on my work break. Since I was Trying to be healthy instead of the fries I got side of coleslaw. But to be honest, I should have gotten the fries because the coleslaw was just ok, in fact it was pretty soggy . The meal, including my Arnold Palmer( which was the perfect blend and came with free refills) cost a little over $20. The wait time was very short maybe around 5 min max, so to get my food which was pretty fast which I appreciated being on my break. And for checking in VIA yelp I received a free waffle reward which I'm saving for next time!
google avatar

Carrie Z.

Yelp
The chicken sandwich has good flavors. If you like it hot, go higher on the spice scale. One of the better priced places inside LBX.

Ernesto G.

Yelp
Tasted the food was so good. Menu was easy to understand, and you can see with spice level wanted.
google avatar

Estevan M.

Yelp
Got the loaded fries and they were delicious. I don't need to say much more than that.

Van C.

Yelp
I love me some spicy fries and a good spicy burger the best the service was well and everything was so good
google avatar

Joshua B.

Yelp
This is my 3rd favorite Hot Chicken Place of all time, they are absolutely incredible consistently. If you want jumbo size Chicken Tenders, this is the place to go and I always get the Medium Spice, with a 3 Piece not too hot just the right amount of heat. There Fries are extravagant, and they have just the right amount of crisp to it not too crunchy, and they taste amazing with that Smokey seasoning to it. I would definitely come back here again soon.
google avatar

Charlyann M.

Yelp
I am a fried chicken sandwich lover. Not the Nashville hot kind though. My friends son said Jay birds was the best. I got a plain sandwich without spice. Very cool decorations for Valentines and New Year! The great: it was piping hot. The bun was yummy. The good: the flavor and breading were on the light side and bland. The bad: the patty was too thick. It was way too thick for a sandwich. It was like a full breast. Chick fil a still has my heart!!!! The closest 2nd place was Cluck and Blaze.

Yelp
Located at LBX, Jay Bird's has a nice variety of items to choose from without having an overwhelming menu. The line can get long/move slowly at times, so be prepared to wait a bit. Staff are always very friendly and helpful, and there's plenty of seating around the venue, even on busy days. We've been here a handful of times, but this time, we got an order of hot chicken tenders + fries, and an order of a hot chicken sandwich + fries. Unfortunately, the chicken this time had no flavor and we had to drench it in sauce to taste anything. This isn't usually the case, otherwise my rating would've been a star lower. The fries were solid as always - perfectly seasoned and nicely crispy. Highly recommend dipping them in their house-made smoked ketchup! We didn't get it this time, but their mac and cheese is really yummy too. My main gripe with Jay Bird's is that the jump between hot and extra hot levels is too big. I'm a spice lover, and hot doesn't taste like much, but extra hot is too spicy to enjoy. Wish there was something right in between. Regardless, still recommend if you're craving some hot chicken while in LB.

Yelp
We went to the Jay Bird's location in the Long Beach industrial park food hall. It was a weekday around lunch, so the place was packed with employees of the surrounding business. With the many options, it's easy to be distracted, but Jay Bird's should be your go to spot. They started to really grow a couple years ago and their food and service is why. Each time we've gone, we experience impeccable service. This time around, we ordered the Mac Daddy, which is a friend chicken sandwich loaded with mac n cheese. While it might seem heavy, the cheese sauce is surprisingly light and doesn't overpower the sandwich. It adds a delicate creaminess and great flavor to the sandwich. The chicken is juicy and cooked to a nice level of crispiness. The crinkle cut fries are not a home run, but they're seasoned well and I don't have any complaints. They have a small counter area for dining, but there are tables around the warehouse that are shared amongst the other restaurants. The staff was friendly and they were quickly making the food. Jay Bird's is always consistent at their various locations and my go to "chain" for a fried chicken sandwich.

Lisa V.

Yelp
Keep in mind we have never been to this location. I was helped out by two young girls. The first one I asked for an Arnold Palmer. She gave me a cup of ice and a cup full of lemonade. She charged me for two drinks when I only wanted one. I step away confused and when I went back to tell her there was another young girl with orange hair. I told her I wanted Arnold Palmer with sweet tea. She said drink half of it and pour tea in it. I asked if they can pour it out because I didn't want to get full on liquid before eating. She was super rude grabbed it and tossed it into the trash and repoured a cup of lemonade half way. I asked why they were half was and she said you need to add the tea yourself. I don't see it was out there so I was confused. Also any dipping sauce it extra. Does not compare to the one in HB. Do not recommend going.
google avatar

Yelp
The food here is phenomenal. Satisfied my fried chicken sandwich craving. Delicious, flavorful, lots of food, and iced tea was amazing
google avatar

Chrissy P.

Yelp
I always come here at least once every month. It is better than canes for me. I love how spicy you can make it. I don't like dark meat so I get the white meat chicken tender and fries every time with ranch. Sometimes they're instant so like you order then a couple minutes later you get your chicken. On a busier day it might take like 10 minutes wait. But it is worth it

Yelp
Been to Jay Bird's more than a couple times now - guess it's safe to say, it's time for me to finally share my thoughts ... Long Beach Exchange. In the hangar. I mention this so you can decide where you want to park. Depending on the day or time, parking can be a little challenging. But it's free. I don't mind walking and I'd rather just park away and walk, then do laps hoping and waiting .... remember, free Jay Bird's is a food stall in the Hangar. So, service is fast and friendly. You order, wait for your order to be called and then go get it. Depending on how busy it is, if you're with others, have them go and find a table while one orders so you're not carrying a tray or trays of food while you wander looking for a place to sit. If you need a refill, just walk on up to the counter. Don't wait in line. I've enjoyed the food every time I've been here and it's one of my favorite hot chicken spots around. I've had all the heat levels and I appreciate how with even the hottest level, that it's not to the point of just burning someone out with heat killing all the flavor. There's a balance but keep this in mind - heat doesn't phase me like it does others. So be warned if you're not able to handle heat. I also love how the meat has always been tender and juicy. I've had chicken from other places where the chicken was on the dry side, probably white meat that was overcooked - but Jay Bird's seem to have their process dialed in. Even their fries (crinkle cut) is nicely done. See pics. Not over or under done and I like the seasoning that's added. I do feel that there are too many places popping up serving hot chicken. I'm just glad that I found Jay Bird's and I know I'll be back again and again

Yelp
This place is delicious! I've tried many Nashville chicken places in LA, OC and San Diego and this is one of my top favorites. I love how it always comes out fresh and the taste is amazing! a good balance of spice for sure. The service is pretty fast and the ambience is pretty nice to there's lots of sitting spaces.

Yelp
I was super excited to try Jay Bird's at the Hanger since it's I know it's a lot of people's favorite hot chicken spot! I ordered the Mac Daddy here and it was pricey - $18 after tip and tax for the Mac Daddy and fries. Overall, I was pretty underwhelmed with the sandwich itself. The chicken was a bit dry and bland. I ordered a medium here expecting a little bit of spice, but it tasted as if I ordered no spice! I think the spice levels are a bit off. The highlight of the meal was the mac and cheese. I would be willing to try it again to see if it was an off-day, but so far it was just okay.

Yelp
Think to yourself how often you actually crave a dish you get at a restaurant. Now think to yourself again about how often you crave a dish that costs under $10. I believe most people's lists would be pretty small, especially if you're removing typical fast food from the list. With that said, the Blazin' Fries at Jay Bird's is something I actively crave, and it somehow costs under $9. They give you a very generous portion of fresh, seasoned fries, gooey mac n' cheese, a large tender spiced to your choosing, and both their comeback and Big Sexy sauces. It's an incredibly glorious mix that leaves you saying "mmm" after bite. I'm sure the other items on the menu are also solid, but I always feel compelled to order this item since you get three tastes for the price of one. I usually go between the hot and very hot spice levels for the chicken (in my opinion, their hot isn't super hot, and their extra hot is pretty tolerable with the mac n' cheese there to calm it down a bit). Just a note--parking is free in the deck across the street for 90 minutes--very ideal for getting a quick bite and enjoying a quick walk around HB.

Yelp
After hearing so many people rave about this spot, I was very disappointed with the chicken sandwich here. It was all-in-all an incredibly average Nashville chicken sandwich. Not much spice even if you get spicy and the chicken is far too thick, so you barely taste the seasoning from the breading. I did like the cole slaw and how the pickles were fresh. The spicy sauce they had was good. Fries were crunchy and standard. Prices were comparable to other fried chicken spots, so not much to complain there. But none of these make up for how mediocre the food was. If you have had Nashville fried chicken before, it's not even worth trying due to the hype because there is literally nothing special about it. Service also needs significant improvement. The girl with the red hair was very passive-aggressive when I asked her about something on the menu.

Yelp
Fireeee eats. My new favorite chicken spot. I really enjoyed the chicken sandwich and although I got it mild it had a lot of flavor. I'm not a big coleslaw fan but this worked well and I enjoyed it. Next time I'll be getting a spicier level like I did in the loaded fries which I underestimated given how huge the portion was. Came with fries chicken and mac n cheese which I would've probably just gotten on its own. Prices are very decent for great tasting quality food. Ended up paying around $28 for both of these. Thanks again

Yelp
Fast service. Good portion size. Ordered the chicken sandwich with a lemonade. Don't think it was worth the $20. Ordered mild. Flavor was not good. Plain actually. Pickles were lack luster. 70% of the fries were broken up and overcooked. They forgot my sauce. Didn't know to ask for some.

Yelp
Chicken was perfectly fried on the outside and juicy on the inside! Definitely check it out if you haven't already!

Yelp
Located at the LBX Hanger we found "Jay Bird"! The Staff was awesome, friendly and kindhearted. A perfect 5plus for them! I tried their Lemonade which was refreshing and delicious! We ordered the following Chicken Sandwich & Spicy Fries With chicken breast, I chose Medium heat , topped with coleslaw, comeback sauce, dill pickles. Served with spicy fries and one sauce.. Also ordered the White Meat ( Chicken breast and wing) & added waffles , spiced with Medium heat served with sliced bread, dill pickles, spicy fries, and one sauce. The waffles were made fresh and such a great combination with the chicken! We also got a side of Mac N' Cheese Made with aged white American cheddar cheese. Yum and creamy! The food was delicious and still had half a sandwich for later! I liked Medium heat but maybe next time go with hot to take it up a notch! Come visit them and try this place out! Nashville vibes in California!
