Jaydee's BBQ

This is definitely a 5 Star rating based on the reason you’re there; The Q. I’ve spent some time in Tville over the years and have a friend that grew up there that put me on Jaydee’s. Had time to take the short drive over to Gamaliel while picking up some material at Bluegrass Butcher Blocks in Tville. Walked in and wasn’t real sure what the process was. There was a walk up window that was tented with no sign or indication to “Order Here.” Stood at the window long enough that the window finally opened and a young man was ready to take my order. I ordered the shoulder plate and he said they were out and wouldn’t have any for 20 minutes or more. Told him I had time. Can’t say that I received a warm welcome or great service but I was there for The Food and the Food was outstanding. If you’re looking for bells and whistles you’ll not find it here. From the looks of the outside of the building you wouldn’t think that you could be walking into an amazing food experience. Inside was clean with some signs and pictures on the walls. Gunsmoke was playing on the TV. Self serve fountain drinks and bottled drinks. They bring the food out to you. Food Service delivery guy walked in and said he had the chopped cabbage last trim there about 5 weeks ago and hadn’t stopped thinking about it. He ordered one and a slaw dawg. Seemed very happy with his meal. I had the Pork Shoulder with hot sauce. Also had mayo slaw, potato salad and baked beans. All were as good as I’ve ever had and I’ve had Ben fortunate to have some of the best BBQ from coast to coast. Monroe County is very fortunate to have some great BBQ. It’s worth a trip if you’ve never had the experience.

Me and my husband took a road trip to Kentucky just to eat at JayDees from Watertown, Tennessee and I promise you it was well worth our drive . I had ribs that fell off the bone and very juicy baked beans vinegar cole slaw . My husband had the shoulder and when I say it was tender and the best he ever had potato salad was was so good and cabbage my husband said he has never had cabbage that tasted that good . I give this place a 10 and would recommend everyone to make the trip and try it. Everything picture below we got out just paying 28.00

Decent decor and the BBQ is good. Service was marginal at best. I arrived when the place was empty, and they didn't have much patience for a new person who wasn't familiar with their menu. Then, despite being empty, it took awhile to get the food which should have pretty much been BBQ'd and waiting to be served. Still good BBQ, so I guess it was worth the wait.

Bar B Q was amazing! We both had shoulder, was so tender and flavor was so good. Homemade potato salad and backed beans are delicious! We will be back! So good😋

I can say there pork chops are awesome if will be trying more food from em but at this point I was not disappointed was impressed green beans were great too

My favorite place to get sliced shoulder plates. Been coming up this way for over 20 years at different places but Jaydees has been the best so far!!

We picked up some Barbeque for our family reunion and everyone loved it!

Always great Bbq at Jaydee's the sides are also very good. Worth the drive...
