Overall not bad, taste was ok. They are freshly baked. But not a fan of the burnt sides. I was skeptical to place an order after 7pm afraid of them closing at 8pm, but when I got there to pickup was surprised the place was still packed 5-10mins before closing. I guess you can dine-in or order online until cutoff time of 8pm??

Adding to the Buffalo metro area's food dominance is Jay's Artisan Pizzeria, which in July 2025 was ranked #4 in the U.S and #28 in the world. Jay's is located in the suburb of Kenmore, roughly 5 blocks or so from the Buffalo city line. Parking in the area can be hit or miss depending on when you come, but a decent amount of street parking exists. The restaurant space, while small, is efficiently utilized. The decor is subtly stylish and the music promotes an upbeat theme that reflects the artistic element of the food. The service is excellent as the servers are personable and knowledgeable about the menu. Now, I know what you're thinking. Are the Bills gonna win the big one this year? Not that question. The real one is how's the pizza? That's a multi-layered one. Buffalo is a food city, specifically pizza. It has some of the best pizza in the country (ranked #4 as a pizza city for the analytics community). So, with that said, Jay's does not pretend to offer traditional Buffalo style pizza. Jay's is a high-end artisan pizzeria focusing on highlighting traditonal elements of both Neopolitan and Detroit style pizza. The focus is on technique and quality ingredients, which creates a lighter version of pizza with a clean flavor profile. In other words, this is the opposite of Buffalo style, which is heavy, oily, and packed with big flavors. Verdict? For what Jay's is going for I think it hits the mark. The ingredients really sing as their quality is highlighted. Adding some red pepper flakes really set it off for me and facilitated another dimension of flavor. Also, the technique towards handling and baking the dough to create a crust with great texture is evident. How does if stack up against traditional Buffalo pizzerias? Subjective question, but my own preference leans towards traditional Buffalo style just due to pizza for me representing ooey gooey goodness. Jay's is definitely worth the experience, especially for those who may prefer a higher-end and cleaner version of pizza. Bonus, the pricing is actually pretty reasonable as well, especially in today's economy. Enjoy!

Everything about this place was top notch. The food was delicious 😋. The pizza and salad..omg!!! Mia the waitress, omg what an absolute doll. Only bad thing is the limited hours that it is open. If you haven't tried it, you don't know what you are missing. Trust me once you have had it you will Definitely be back!!!

I've traveled all over the U.S., trying countless pizzas, but nothing compares to Jay’s Artisan’s Detroit-style pizza with their sweet honey drizzle. It's hands down my favorite pizza. The crust is perfectly crispy on the edges, soft and airy in the middle, and that rich, gooey cheese combined with the sweet, golden honey just takes it to another level. It’s the perfect balance of savory and sweet, and every bite leaves me wanting more. I’ve tried a lot of great pizza, but Jay’s consistently stands out. If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor and get a slice (or two)!

Allora. When I hear anyone talk about the Campagnia region I pay attention. Let me preface this review by saying, I’m Calabrese and I’ve lived in Napoli for an extended period of time previous to arriving in WNY. There is a pride when it comes to Napolitano pizza and for good reason since two main ingredients are sourced from this region in Italy. Buffalo mozzarella and San Marzano tomatoes from Mount Vesuvius. I had very high expectations, I won’t lie. The place itself is piccolino (small). There is limited seating so expect a wait if arriving after 6pm, but the staff are very friendly, welcoming and minutes into being seating I had a Rosè and waters for our table. We started with a mixed green salad and baby this thing is HUGE, refreshing and a great palate cleanser before your meal. Let’s talk dough. There’s some issues. Now I’m not an expert but if the steam is not escaping from the oven or the pizza is being overcrowded, I assume the dough isn’t being cooked properly and you end up with chewy, soggy dough. Which this style of pizza is meant to be crusty and very flavorful with a harder under carriage (to quote Dave Portnoy lol). This had no bite to the crust just a pillowy, chewy texture which was very unusual. I would guess that the pizza hasn’t been allowed to cook for the full length or time or undisturbed. This place is great but don’t let popularity and hype mess with the basis of Italian cuisine. Without a great base for pizza the other ingredients have no place to shine! The sauce and cheeses were perfect and saved the whole eating experience. My friend loved his Detroit style pizza though, but what man from Buffalo wouldn’t? lol.

My husband and I went on a date night to Jay’s and the food was incredible! We enjoyed every single bite of the pizza and salad. Unfortunately, we did not leave room for dessert and will have to come back for the tiramisu (we heard that was also amazing). I’m still thinking about the incredible pizza! I would highly recommend coming! To note, there is not a ton of tables to eat in the restaurant. We came at a great time and were able to be seated right away. They do takeout as well.

Friendly and helpful service. The award winning nduja Neapolitan and the seasonal fig/prosciutto were both delicious.

Yelp
SO GOOD! The spritzer to start was perfectly lemony & slightly sweet. We got the hot cherry pepper Detroit style & the summer squash wood fired. Hot cherry pepper was amazing- every bite was a fantastic burst of flavors. The crust was nice and crispy. The summer squash was non traditional but also an amazing flavor combination. It was light and delicious. We shared a Tiramisu- yum! Superb quality ingredients. Small space with minimalist design was fitting. Service was friendly, attentive and helpful. Bravo!

Yelp
Cute little village restaurant in the heart of Kenmore. The staff were very friendly also and service was fast. We had three different pizzas (Red Pizza, Pepperoni Pizza, Margherita Pizza) all of which were delicious. For me, the red pizza was the best. There isn't a large menu, like there aren't any appetizers, and the beer selection was small but satisfactory. Overall this place it tops in service, ambiance and food quality and we will definitely be back again!!

Yelp
In a word, delicious. Crafted with high quality ingredients, care and innovation Jay's Artisan Pizza delivers in spades. The dining room is small, decorated tastefully and minimally but with attention to detail. An open kitchen concept the service staff are friendly and hospitality oriented just as it should be. Highly recommend. I know I'll be back.

Yelp
There's Buffalo pizza and then there is Jay's Artisan Pizza both are great but both are different. Jay's is more like authentic old world pizza. They have round pies and specialty Detroit style square pizzas as well. You know when the hours say open until 8:00 PM or until we sell out that there's something special about the place - and there definitely is! Eat in or takeout. Both were buzzing tonight! Buon Appetito!

Yelp
Got there right after opening on a Saturday, it was almost full. No wait for a table though! Service was very good. Tried three different pies, they all were amazing. Great pizza in the classic neopolitan style which is a welcome change from the typical buffalo style. The restaurant was beautiful, prices were fair. With tip and dessert, everything came out to be around $70. I'll be back, I loved it!

Yelp
I really loved my pizza here! I was torn because they all sounded great! I went with the Quattro Formaggi as I haven't had one of these in 6 years. I was not disappointed! The crust was excellent and I wish I took a picture of the bottom because the char was utter perfection. I could smell the fragrance of my pizza too when it was placed before me. The blend of cheeses used on this pizza were delicious and gave a unique taste that was delightful. I loved all of my bubbles in the crust too! The pizzas are all sort of a personal size. But they are cut in four slices and there are smaller plates so you can mix and match if you like! The salads are a good size and look tasty, although I didn't order any. I just saw some people did. Johnny Ryan is the soda served here (local, out of Niagara Falls). Only 3 choices: regular, diet, or orange. There are some other things to drink too, such as wine, beer and espresso. After we ate they asked if we wanted tiramisu for dessert. I'm not sure if the dessert changes (because I didn't see it written anywhere; it was offered verbally). Parking out back, and there is an entrance back there (as well as the front). Be prepared to pay for quality ... this isn't your average cost for some pizza, but hey - it isn't your average pizza!!

Yelp
Waited for an hour for opening time because we were in the area and I was dying to try their pizza (they opened a few minutes after 4 according to my time stickler kiddo). Shared a Margherita and Detroit hot cherry pepper with two kiddos (one liked the thin crust while the other like the deep dish. Me? Totally in love with the Detroit cuz I've never had honey in my pizza before and it was an epic experience *drooling rt now thinking bout it* We dined in and it was comfy casual. The tables started to fill up by the time we were done with a slice left to take home. Can't wait to come back for another Detroit pie :)

Yelp
As a NYC pizza lover, I can say that this pizza was awesome and different from a normal slice. Waitress was courteous, attentive and helpful. Thank You for welcoming us to Buffalo.

Yelp
Man what a pizza place! Their Margherita pizza is fantastic but their Detroit style red top is life changing. It was so so so good! I've never had Detroit style and this was our first visit here it was awesome! Staff was great pizza came out quickly and prices were good. They're popular but they've got lots of tables and it's very casual. Street parking available! Awesome visit I can't wait to get some more!

Yelp
We ordered a take out Detroit style pizza from here this past Saturday. Online ordering was easy and we decided on the Red Top pizza. When we got to the restaurant, it was packed. We waited in line and quickly picked up our pizza, which was ready on time. The flavors were great and the crust amazing. Doughy and crispy but not too heavy. We truly enjoyed. Detroit pizzas from here aren't huge so it is a bit expensive for just 4 pieces of pizza. Overall, was good and we'll be back!

Yelp
This place definitely lives up to the hype! Incredibly unique flavors. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Always super friendly people working at Jay's. My family and I absolutely enjoy their food. I really like the Red Square. My daughters favorite is the Margherita pizza. My wife. really enjoys their salad. Easy parking behind the building .

Yelp
I came here with a friend and dined in. The restaurant is very small with minimal seating at tables or at the bar. I would not dine in with a very large group of people as it would be a pretty tight seating arrangement. I ordered the Margherita pizza. I was so surprised on how quickly it came out (less than 5 minutes it felt like). It did not surprise me that their pizza is rated at one of the top pizza places in the United States. It was the best pizza that I've had. The tangy sauce, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil and the most perfect crust; there wasn't anything I would change about it. And all for 14 dollars, I thought that was a very fair price with the high artisan quality of this pizza! Can't wait to come back soon.

Yelp
Not the typical Buffalo style pizza but I tastes amazing! Really does deserve its reputation. Got their summer squash and their Marguerite, was not disappointed. Rlly cozy sitting vibes. Wish they had more hours

Yelp
Good food. Good people. Service is quick. I will be back. Ambiance is pretty laid back.

Yelp
Very quaint restaurant with incredible pizza. We started off with the salad which was delicious and relatively heavy on the dressing. The red top Detroit style was the surprise of the night! The crust was so light and garlicky and was beautifully balanced. The pesto pizza is very basil forward and was very overpowering so it was a bit tough to pick up and other flavors but still delicious.

Yelp
This local pizzeria has been voted as top 100 in the world! In 2022, it was slated as #71 in the world, and 13th in the US, and it's in BUFFALO, NY! This has been on our food bucket list for awhile and we finally got there! We had heard that the inside is pretty small, so they do a big pick-up business. We ordered online and you get to pick the time. Super easy but when you get there, sometimes you have to wait a bit past your chosen pick-up time, but SO worth it! The crust is amazing!! Thin and crispy and has the perfect sauce coating and amount. We tried a bunch of different ones as they aren't too big and we're excited to have leftovers which reheated superbly in the air-fryer. Fresh ingredients, great staff, authentic and original menu - you can't go wrong!

Yelp
I've lived in Kenmore for a few years and have been to Jay's so many times I can't believe I haven't done a review yet! My husband and I order Jay's pizza all the time when we want a quality pizza. I always get the four cheese or quattro formagi. It's so cheesy and I love the thin crust! I love how the crust edges turn out from being wood fired. My husband loves the hot cherry pepper pizza. I highly recommend if you want a great pizza! I just came here for dinner with a friend, and it was the first time I didn't get takeout and actually sat there and ate. The space is pretty small, but the tables finish up quickly enough that you are able to get a seat. There is also a bar to eat at. We had multiple servers come over and tell us specials and check up on us which was so nice. Our pizzas also came out so quick we were shocked! It seemed like we just ordered them when they came out. I loved sitting there and seeing everyone's food come out smelling delicious. We didn't order it, but the salad also looked great! Highly recommend overall!

Yelp
Where have you been all my LIFE!! I have lived in the WNY area for over 23 food filled years, and this is the BEST pizza I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Now, before I get ripped apart by pizza lovers of other Buffalo staples hear me out!! Let's start with THE DOUGH!! The most important part of the pizza!!! It's PERFECTION!! I could eat anything and everything on this dough daily and not feel guilty about it. lol We tied two pizzas. The first is the Mushroom & Ramp pizza it was delicious. The only thing I would edit is the sliced almonds they took away from the other ingredients but that is my personal opinion. lol The pepperoni pizza BLEW ME AWAY! The sauce is perfection and I have never had this pepperoni before. It's so goooood! A pepperoni pizza can be so simple and everyone has it on their menu but this pepperoni pizza is IT!! I will never buy pepperoni pizza from anywhere else again. It's the kind of food that wakes up your taste buds and you crave it!! You dream about your next slice. It is really that good and even though it's a smaller pizza than you normally get it's definitely worth it. The inside is small but was PACKED. The service was good. I just picked up and did not eat in. This is a must try you won't regret it.

Yelp
Delicious authentic pizza. I like how they offer two different styles of pies. I tried both but ended up enjoying the Detroit style better! Servers were great, quick and attentive and the overall vibe of the restaurant is cute but quite small.

Yelp
Award winning pizza, Napoli or Detroit style, get there before they sell out of dough.

Noah N.

Yelp
The Margherita was really good and one of my favorite. They have excellent pizza flavor. The toppings were so good and very delicious. Every bite was good and flavor taste so amazing. Nice options of pizza! They have good customer service. The prices were pretty good too.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and try this place out! My friend and I ordered a margherita and pesto pizza to go and they were absolutely delicious. Kinda weird but I like my crust/dough/whatever to be a little chewy but also thin. This place definitely hit the spot.
google avatar

Jill G.

Yelp
Imo the square Detroit influenced style pizza is what makes this spot so good. The neopolitan style is not my thing, and I have heard from others that it's a bit bland. The square style pizza however, is some of the best pizza I've ever had. Incredible, show-stopping, really interesting flavors.

Joseph M.

Yelp
Jay's Artisan Pizza: If you're considering a visit to Jay's Artisan Pizza, you need to ask yourself one question: Do you enjoy waiting for an eternity. Because that's the primary offering here. The "artisan" in the name seems to refer to the painstaking, hand-crafted process of making you wait until you've lost the will to live. Let's begin with the wait. We were quoted a 15 minute wait time, which, while long, is sometimes acceptable for a place with a reputation. An hour later, we were still standing in the cramped, noisy waiting area, watching tables turn over at a glacial pace. The staff seemed entirely unconcerned with the ever-growing crowd of hungry, irritated customers. It felt less like a restaurant and more like a purgatory with a pizza oven. They refused to put two tables together, the reason; they where to busy which make absolutely no sense as we saw empty tables the could have easily be pushed together instead we decide to leave me and my family of 7 and we took a more the likely 200 dollar food bill with us. I highly would not recommend going there.
google avatar

Kathy K.

Yelp
Food and service are amazing! The owner comes out to check on you and how you are enjoying your food. He is a true artisan and it is obvious he loves what he does! That explains a why he has some of the best pizza in the USA! If you haven't been here you must try it!!!!!
google avatar

Tim M.

Yelp
Tight seating quarters and a bit of a wait, but the pizza was worth it! We'll be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Favorite wood fired pizza in Buffalo! I'm partial to the fig and prosciutto... it is my favorite flavor combination. Runner up for me is the hot cherry pepper pizza. Small place that could use more seating but the food is unmatched!
google avatar

Yelp
There are only two pizzerias in Buffalo that do magic. Jay's is one of them. I sat at the window today on a cool rainy afternoon munching on a delicious margherita pie. So, so good.

Yelp
I really love this place! My mom and I have stopped in a couple times together, and I've gotten take a take out pie for myself 3 or 4 times. I usually get Margarita pizza. Also love the mixed house salad with the delicious house vinaigrette they make! Love the roasted tomatoes, the pickled onions, and the croutons are awesome! Very tasty, my mom and I both love the place. I've also had a white pizza with tomatoes and basil, it was good as well, but I prefer the margarita. I've tried the square detroit style as well, but the wood fried round pizzas are the favorite choice for me. I do wish they would sell the dressing! Also, would be nice if the online ordering had the option on the salad and pizza to remove the parmesan. Since I'm not a parmesan person, I have to come in to order, but since the pizza cooks fast it is not a big deal to wait ten minutes. The staff is always friendly, and the dining room is very small, but always clean and feels welcoming. A favorite spot since we started going this year. Will be back for sure since it is only about a mile from my house. keep up the great job.

Pete J.

Yelp
Parking You know what, plenty. Some street and some in the back. It's enough. Vibe It's cozy! But crazy space but it's a great date nite kinda thing. Won't sit more than 30 Service Quick and fun. Nothing too serious and a great personality The food Whoa. Best pizza in town, yep. They do run out from what I hear but I had my pick and this was just a great pizza experience. This would hold its own anywhere in the country. A must try if in the area
google avatar

Yelp
Hot cherry pep DSP & n'duja will forever by my favorites. Great for dine in or takeout. Great staff.
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
This was a really good first visit. It's nice to walk in and see all the firewood waiting to be used. The pies were made well. They seemed a bit on the thin side, so there's not much structure to hold onto the toppings. I wish they were a little larger for the price points, too. Overall the quality is really good, and very fresh. We'll be back.

Anis M.

Yelp
Food is awesome as usual! Service is a bit slow compared to the size of the restaurant! Ambiance feels like family and home!

Yelp
My first Buffalo deep dish pizza! My friend was raving about this place and especially the Deep Dish pizza, so I was intrigued. We came here on a Saturday afternoon at around 1pm. The menu is streamlined: they offer two types of pizza (deep dish or thin crust/normal pizza) with numerous varieties of toppings. They also offer one very large house salad and some specials. You can order wine or beer or sodas, including sparkling water. So the verdict on the deep dish pizza? It's good! It's soft and doughy but crunchy and the dollop of sauce on the top is a really nice touch. You can only really eat one piece because it's so filling ($15 for a four slice pie). Also, The house salad ($10) is great and you can tell they use homemade vinaigrette dressing. The service is fast and friendly. Don't miss this place

Maggie Z.

Yelp
Finally got to go to this local gem. Have travelled all over the world including Italy (more than once) and this pizza rivals the best of the best. Loved the small atmosphere, laid back vibes, and phenomenal food. Margherita was top notch but I have to say the show stopper was the Zucca pizza ( one of the best pizzas I have ever had ). For dessert they do a homemade tiramisu which is one of the best I have had in the US and internationally. super grateful to have this restaurant right here in Kenmore/buffalo !
google avatar

Henry D.

Yelp
First time there. Was actually pleasantly surprised as it's not large in there but I was able to securely get table for 2 fairly quickly. Service was fairly efficient and food came out quickly. The Quattro formagi was ok but the red top was as good a Detroit I've had locally, crust perfect and could taste the freshness of the sauce. Will def go back

Franceanne O.

Yelp
All I have to say is OMG!! Why have I not known about this place before. Food, service and setting were all GREAT!! Thank you to Jen and Mia for making our visit even more enjoyable. The salads were like no other I've had and the pizzas! We had the spinach and artichoke (delicious!) and the funghi awesome!!! Visit there you will not regret it!!

David M.

Yelp
My wife and I are pizza fanatics, and this is the best pizza we have ever had. Amazing and unusual beer selection-only three choices offered, but two of those are among the best IPAs in the country. Ambience is not great. Highly recommended.
google avatar

Joe T.

Yelp
The staff was very friendly and the pizza was good. My only gripe is their pizza doesn't have enough cheese on it! Their cheese is delicious and if I had some in every bite that would be amazing! But still it's really good pizza.

Robert S.

Yelp
Excellent service and food Personnel were pleasant and helpful Tables a little close to each other But we'll be back

Yelp
After a fun day drinking and walking around downtown Buffalo with family, we worked up a good appetite for dinner. Now, since it was Saturday, I like to grab a pizza for dinner. This particular Saturday though, we wanted to try somewhere we haven't been before. Looking at my "Pizza Places to Try" Yelp Collection, I saw Jay's Artisan and knew immediately where dinner would be. In short, we had an excellent experience and look forward to coming back again! Two of us arrived a little after 5:00pm on a Saturday and parked on a side street kitty-corner to Jay's. The street parking spots out front were filled but the side streets had plenty of spots and it also appeared that there was a small parking lot behind the restaurant but we didn't investigate that. We walked in and there was a small line of people waiting to pick up to-go orders. As we looked over, we saw there were a good number of tables already occupied but there were a few free and the foot-traffic was moving pretty regularly and smoothly. We placed our order with the courteous, friendly woman behind the counter who did a great job making sure we knew the menu and everything and she gave us a number as we found a high-table near the kitchen. As soon as we sat down, another woman brought over a couple of glasses and filled them up with some ice water and we sat and soaked in the ambiance of the restaurant. There were a couple employees walking around the dining area making sure waters were topped off and bringing out food and a little music was playing overhead, just enough to be heard and drown out the conversations at the other tables. It took a little time for our pizzas to come out of the oven as we ordered off their Detroit-style menu, which really wasn't bad - maybe 20 minutes or so. We both agreed the food was well worth the extra few minutes wait! For dinner, I ordered the "Red Top" from their Detroit Style Square Pizza menu, a 8"x10" square pizza with garlic, a cheese blend, cup-n-char pepperoni, tomato sauce on-top, and finished with oregano and Parmigiano Reggiano and I personally asked for them to drizzle their chili honey on top too. Of all the pizza styles there are out there, Buffalo-style and Detroit-style are neck and neck. But wow, this pizza was amazing! I like a thicker dough, and Detroit-style serves that in spades with the center being incredibly soft, airy/doughy, and not too much chew. The outer crust though has this awesome crunch with cheesy charring all around it - a delicious blend of soft and crispy/crunchy. Each slice had plenty of that cheese blend on the bottom and was tastefully topped with the tomato sauce, which to me was fairly neutral, not too sweet or too spicy/savory with maybe a slight lean towards sweet, but to hammer the point home, not sweet like the Buffalo-style red sauce I've had before. The cup-n-char pepperoni was delicious, and I thought they put on the right amount of pepperoni without it overpowering the other ingredients. The oregano and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese generously grated on top of their tomato sauce added a nice flavor on the end and added some visual flair to the pizza itself. I was really pleased I asked for their chili honey to be drizzled on top as it only elevated the pizza by adding a little bit of spice and a little sticky-sweetness (I love Mike's Hot Honey though so "your mileage may vary" :) ). The size of their Detroit Style pizza is perfect for a hungry person, or to share, but if you've read some of my other Buffalo pizza shop reviews, you know I had no problems finishing this pizza. haha I finished my pizza and felt perfectly satiated. On a quick note, I did try a slice of their Fig Jam + Prosciutto Detroit Style Square Pizza (cheese blend, gorgonzola, fig jam, prosciutto crudo, saba, and topped with Parmigiano Reggiano. This was a surprisingly sweet pizza, I genuinely liked this as something different from my normal. After this visit, I say Jay's Artisan Pizza lives up to the hype! The staff were friendly and accommodating, the dining area was clean and foot-traffic moved in and out regularly so there always seems to be at least one or two tables available, and the pizza, both the quality and quantity are excellent! I can check them off my list of "Pizza Places to Try" and add them to my "My Top Pizza Spots" collection on Yelp now!

Yelp
Jays was recommended to us. We decided to give it a try. We ordered a crudo pizza, a Detroit pizza with hot peppers, salad and marinated olives. The Detroit pizza was my favorite. Everything thing was excellent. I will definitely go back. Everyone was very friendly and the service was great.

Yelp
Best pizza in Buffalo? Jay's is definitely up there on my list! We've been dying to try their pizza since we've heard so many good things about it. Tonight we decided to get some takeout and I'm so happy we did! Their online ordering process is easy and my pizza was ready right when they said it would be. They seem to be very prompt in their service which I appreciate! I have been itching to try Detroit style pizza for the longest time now, so we decided to split the Red Top DSP! I am a changed woman. Sauce and pepperoni BOTH on top of the pizza? Incredible. The crust was so crisp and the cheese and dough were balanced in perfect harmony. It ran us $16 which we had no problem with since it fed us both. I will certainly be trying more of their menu! The wood fired margherita pizza is calling my name...

Yelp
This place is highly rated! And they don't disappoint - great variety of options for toppings, very unique. Being from Buffalo, there are so many spots to go for pizza and everyone has their preference. Jay's is worth having atleast once for sure.

Yelp
I havnt been here in over a year. I missed them. But my schedule has changed and I was able to pickup a pizza recently. They no longer have eat in. You can't go in the back door anymore either. So park in front. They prefer online ordering I think. I'm not sure if you could go and order and wait inside. Waking in the front door they have a table right there. They will come and get your form of payment and hand you your order. You won't be more than 5 feet into their space. Everyone seemed to be masked. The menu felt longer than before, but they remain focused on pizzas. Interesting combos. Oh, and that pizza? Remains terrific. Update 52 2021

Yelp
We drove all the way from Clarence to Kenmore to eat and arrived at 6:30. Workers inside were already putting up chairs and locked the door. They were supposed to close at 8. I will never take the ride again. completely unpredictable.

Yelp
When I tell you this was the best pizza that I have ever had. Wow. I regret not stopping by sooner. Jay's is incredible and if you are in the Buffalo area, you certainly need to stop by! Our fabulous server said that the pizza we ordered is included in a list of the top 100 pizzas in the US, and I definitely believe it. Wow! Jay's is certainly the place to go! I ordered the Ndjua Wood Fired Pizza, after it was highly recommended from other Yelp reviews and the employee that we spoke to. It's crispy and crunchy crust topped with Garlic, Basil, Fontal Cheese, Berkshire Ndjua, Red Onion, and Honey. When I tell you, you have to try this pizza. Ndjua is a spicy, spreadable salami which is very similar to chorizo. I have never tasted anything like it, it was excellent! The onions were pickled and I believe the honey was an infused hot pepper honey that they make in house. It was phenomenal! I typically don't put honey on pizza, but this pie has certainly changed my mine. I couldn't get enough of it! Overall, I am clearly a fan of Jay's Artisan Pizzeria. Honestly, I am already planning my next trip. The ambiance was chic and minimalistic and the employees were super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the Ndjua Pizza, but they have a ton of other options that sounded equally as delicious. The prices are a little bit higher, but expected as it's an artisan pizzeria. Looking forward to making my way back there! Happy Eating!!
