Although small and pricey, the food and service were top notch. Loved the old times jazz. Wish there had been a bit more singing over just the big band music but it did bring a tear to my eye remembering my dad and how much he would have loved it. Definitely an experience I would do again. I might even take my mom next time.

The amazing energy that the band played was amazing! The look inside was giving luxury prohibition style decor. Such an amazing place to go out when you are in the mood to treat yourself. Also the cocktails were 10/10!!! Every single drink we had was amazing

If there is a negative review for this place, they are FALSE! Jazz,TX is as close to a perfect place as you can find! My wife and I were in town for a long weekend vacation. A bartender at our hotel bar told us about it so we decided to check it out. We showed up and didn't know you needed to buy tickets ahead of time, however there was one table still available. As soon as we sat down Jesse took our drink order and told us all about the place. Jesse was the ABSOLUTE BEST waiter I have ever seen. He had a ton of energy, he had an amazing personality and a work ethic that is second to none! We were blown away by the drinks and music! The service, music and drinks were so good we came back the next night If we lived in San Antonio we would come every week! Jazz,TX was the best part of our vacation!

Loved this place!! Pic on the right was taken before it filled up. Went to a show on Fri and Sat, both, New Orleans and The Copa Kings shows were fantastic!! The atmosphere was great, food was good, the Pecan Pie…OMG fantastic!!! The wine by the glass selection wasn’t the greatest but, by the bottle was excellent. Everybody left smiling, both nights!! I really enjoyed it so much on Fri, took my daughter on Sat.

The night was planned as a surprise for our 18th anniversary, and it surely did not disappoint. The location made it seem like the theme of a speakeasy located in the basement of another venue. The decor was beautiful and inspiring. Yes, the venue seems small and tight, with the music a little louder than expected, but it was a wondrous night to behold. Be prepared to pay for tickets and then a full meal with drinks. So far, this has been the best place to get an Old Fashioned that actually tastes divine. The food lacked a little bit to be desired but we came for the music and drinks mostly. We will go back if we ever are in town.

I was there last Friday for the New Orleans jazz second line show. It was an absolute ball! Excellent food, good wine, very attentive service, and a great show! Oh, and the pecan pie alamode for dessert! OMG! What a hidden gem!

My wife & I had a wonderful time at Jazz, Tx.! The ambience & intimate environment made the night most enjoyable. The drinks & food were the best! We heard the Copa Kings that night & they were an amazing band. If you like Jazz, orchestra for a special occasion or night, Jazz Tx is it! Good work guys!!

Upon every visit to San Antonio, my friends and I make it an opportunity to attend at least one show at Jazz, TX. This time around, I was able to stay for their midnight show "Swinging past midnight with the Andrew Escalona Sextet." It was unbelievable! Just when I thought the night was coming to a close, he brought out even more. I would love to see him and his group play more. Service was wonderful, food was delicious, and location was amazing. Whether you are an avid musician or looking to have a vibrant and fanciful night, this is the place to go!

Winner winner for a few reasons. We are downtown residence for over 15 years. When family and friends visit, the Pearl is a MUST visit, along with Jazz TX if we can get it! Packed/booked all the time and for good reason. If interested, get online and make a reservation! Sure, you want to see some country western, you're in Texas, but........ - Jazz best in SATX - Food OMG spot on - Cocktails, some of the best mixologist in town and under the eye of one of the best in the business! - Location, at the Pearl. When your done with the show, can walk the Pearl. We have gone often and never disappointed. With 30 plus years in the hospitality arena, (now retired) trust me on this one!

We went to the Mardi Gras Party at Jazz TX on Friday, March 21 -- and wow, what a night! Brandon Guerra, Adam Carrillo, and friends absolutely lit up the stage. They were in such a great mood the entire time, smiling, laughing, and hyping each other up! Ed was my personal favorite -- his energy was awesome, and honestly, I wish I could hire him to follow me around and soundtrack my life The whole vibe was joyful and infectious. The service was super friendly and on point. Great food, great drinks, and just an all-around good party. Can't wait to go back!

What a great jazz club! Reminiscent of an old jazz club that has been updated. Good menu selections and awesome specialty cocktails. Every seat in the house had a good view of the stage. And the staff was amazing!

A nice place for date night. Romantic and dark ambiance with warm lighting and nice Jazz. It seems like they have a variety of shows with varying energy levels and prices. You can check their calendar for more info. I sat at the bar and paid around $25-$30 for my bar seat. The musicians were very talented and i especially enjoyed the piano solos. It is a little pricey and you can find places with lower fees and talented musicians, but you're paying for the ambiance and "bigger" names here. The bar staff was friendly but the space was cramped. Hard to get in and out of the bar seats you were so close to your neighbor and narrow paths for the waiters to walk around you.

Food was really good, especially the tenderloin. Margaritas were very tasty and reasonably priced. Service was super great and attentive. The place is small due to the seating chairs and tables but makes up for it by having salsa, merengue, bachata nights on Wednesday. Cute little charm!

So far, this has been my favorite jazz venue in San Antonio. The cozy location allows you to make reservations in advance. My favorite part was, of course, the excellent music, but I also really enjoyed the food and drinks. The service was great as well. I will definitely be returning! WOW!! What an evening! I love everything about Jazz TX. This night has been my favorite. If you've never been you must check this place out. The music of a Charlie Brown Christmas tugs at the heartstrings... Veronica was a fantastic waitress. Our food was really good. Salmon dip! Too bad I had to share. Almond Chicken...... So good Risotto with chicken.... Oh snap!

We love Jazz Tx! Our first visit a very rude couple ruined the experience. They yelled through it and when we complained they got louder, saying hateful things to us the entire show. We were offered a complimentary show and dessert. Our second visit was so great! The music, service, and food are 10/10!

Our husbands treated us to a girls getaway night and booked us here for a Disney special jazz night. The band was so fun and energetic and entertaining. We loved every moment of it. Drinks were top notch and everyone was enjoying it.

Brought my mother in law while she was in town visiting. It's always a great time. The vibe and ambience is what you come here for. We tried jazz night this time and loved it! Highly recommend. Tried the almond chicken and it was great. And our server was patient and just a doll - thank you for the experience!

Book at least 1 to 1.5 months ahead--seats fill up fast, and it's worth the wait! Jazz TX combines fantastic live music with top-notch food, making it an unforgettable night out. I've visited Jazz TX multiple times, and it never disappoints. Highly recommend Salsa Night! with Jose Amador at-least once. Recently attended **A Tribute to the Music of Walt Disney**, and it was pure nostalgia. We loved it so much that we returned for **The Music of Walt Disney - Volume II** to celebrate our nephew's birthday. Both shows were fun trips down memory lane for any Disney fan. The food is always excellent, but these dishes stood out: - **8oz Center Cut Filet:** Perfectly cooked and flavorful, with seasoned fingerling potatoes and grilled leek. - **Braised Tenderloin:** Tender and rich, served with roasted garlic polenta and a tasty red wine tomato sauce. - **Mushroom Ravioli:** Delicious house-made ravioli with mushrooms, spinach, and truffle oil. As a Dominican, I chuckled at the **Coconut Dominicana**, but I ended up loving it! The aged rum, coffee liqueur, and coconut whipped cream were perfectly balanced. If you're looking for an amazing evening of music and food, Jazz TX is a must-visit!

I can't say enough about what a wonderful experience Jazz Texas was, my only regret for my first visit was dining ahead of time. I wish I'd have saved room for the food that also looked wonderful. We enjoyed drinks and an amazing Jazz performance. The musicians were so talented and entertaining that the evening flew by. The cozy Jazz Lounge added to the wonderful experience. It's all around a great place for a night out.

Food is good, service is excellent and the entertainment is the best! We drive 3 hours just to go here from Waco. We found this place after Jim Cullum died a couple of years back and we were looking for a new jazz band with similar musical talent and found Doc Watson and several other acts to be our new favorites.

Really really wonderful place! We randomly went in during the day and they had two more seats that night, and the maitre'd was kind enough to give us the discounted walk in price, which was amazing! We went for 'Disney night' and it was great! All of the artists were so talented, and they played the most beautiful renditions. We got cocktails as well, and they were great. I LOVED this place, it was such a great experience!

Jazz Texas is the most perfect live jazz club ever! I love the vibe, it makes you feel like you have taken a soft step back in time. It's elegant and lively and I love how it's just you and the music. The service was great and everyone was so courteous. The food was absolutely divine, fresh, flavorful, and perfect portions. It was a perfect anniversary date night for my husband and a perfect place for a date night no matter the occasion.

We had a great time here this past Friday. We saw the New Orleans show and it was amazing. The host made it even better. He was cracking us up. Our seating time was at 6:15 and that's when we got there. We were seated right away and our waitress came right after. We had already eaten, so we just ordered drinks. They were delicious and STRONG. Just like we like them. Haha. The food smelled great, too. Definitely recommend coming here and checking out a show. We'll be back to see different ones. We parked in the pearl parking lot and it was an easy walk from there.

Good music, good acoustics, and great drinks. It's probably the only jazz place you will find in SA. However I got pretty bad poisoning. Something was off with the meatballs--they did taste a little off, like there was way too much bread in them. 2 stars due to that. Well despite all, I still had a good time, just no more food experimentation for me at this particular venue.

LOVE THIS PLACE! If you love jazz music or would like to get introduced to jazz music, this spot is GREAT! Their food is probably some of the best in the pearl. Their service is great, but what you'll come back for is the music and the vibe.

We went for the first time (not the last!) last Saturday. It was our anniversary and we wanted a great experience and wow! we got it! The service was stellar- first class all the way. Very attentive & accommodating, but not overstepping. They hit it out of the park with food & cocktails! I ordered the Jazz Burger- my bad, it was a bit messy to eat when dressed nice but it was fabulous. My husband got the filet and loved it. Several cocktails- Old Fashioned, an Here & Now drink, Espresso martini & a Hibiscus Spritz Now Doc Watkins & band was outstanding! I expected a little "concert", but we got an evening of amazing jazz (new & classics) with his entertaining bits between songs. What a guy! What a band! We loved our entire evening! It was on the pricey side- so just plan on that, but well worth every penny!

Best music. Good food. Just best. Doc Watson is the best, but all of the performances are great. The menu rotates and all the food is yummy. Heads up, they are not very gluten free friendly. The servers are wonderful. Multi lingual, helpful, & knowledgeable. Make sure to save room for dessert.

My Hubby did a great job picking Jazz TX for our date night. Great environment, excellent service, and the Dirty River Jazz Band was FANTASTIC! I can't believe it's taken us so long to come here. We've been missing out! We had a wonderful time and are coming back for sure. Food: You can eat during the show, but my husband scheduled us to arrive an hour earlier to grab dinner before. It was cool sensing the vibe change as the band set up and the crowd trickled in.

A blast. We had a blast. The ambiance, the entertainment, the drinks, the food. It was a wonderful night. All the food was delicious. I couldn't even EAT all of my salad, but I tried.. My dessert was good but was a little burnt on the bottom. I didn't finish it, and they didn't charge me for it. My husband's looked amazing. He had the pecan pie and really enjoyed it. After the show, we immediately purchased tickets to a Christmastime show. We loved it and will absolutely be back.

If I could give more stars I would! This place is amazing! Doc Watkins is an amazing MC. He's probably the funniest person he knows! the Saturday show plates all different genres. Ticket prices is fair. And there is no service fee or minimum order for tables. I would highly recommend booking online sooner than later if you see a show you're interested in. They book fast! I am already deciding what show to go to next! I just had dessert there. But the pecan pie that was one of the BEST pecan pies I've ever had!! Maaaaaaaaan. It was amazing. Almost as good as the music!!

I absolutely love this spot. I've been coming to this place since 2017. And it's always the best show ever. I was just there with friends to take in Mariachi las Coronelas. This is a Collection of the most amazingly talented and beautiful female performers I've ever had the privilege of being in the same room with. Such a variety of strong voices everyone with a unique sound each their own playing a different instrument and loving what they do. Not only did they sing the traditional Mexican Ranchera classics, they sang Johnny Cash, Devil Went Down to Georgia, a few classics from the 50s, the list goes on. They danced and were very playful and interactive with the audience. I would definitely stop at nothing to see them perform again. And as always Doc Watkins was in the house charming as ever. The apps and mai tai I had did not disappoint. Love this place!!!!!!

This place has a great staff and performers. The food was also delicious. I can't wait to come back. I was surprised to find that people bring kids here to enjoy the performances in the evenings.

I was so disappointed with their crème brûlée. I know weird to start off that way. However, I am a huge fan of crème brûlée so this was disappointing. It was bland and grainy, the caramelized sugar was way overly thick. It's supposed to be a thin layer. The drinks weren't strong I could hardly detect alcohol. The food was good. Nothing over the top but it did have a good taste. We had a table that was near the restroom, avoid getting that table, it was the last available for a reason. Folks kept bumping into our table. The show was good. The performers were fun and entertaining. It's a fun experience. Parking is available on the side but it's limited. It's not a far walk to the public parking under the bridge. All in all I would go for a date for the show and dinner. Then grab dessert and drinks elsewhere :-/ however I always give spots another chance (we'll I try if I have time) to report if this is the norm or an off day.

This was a Father's Day gift for my dad! My mom's birthday was soon after so she got to come too. We had a blast. Multiple other Puerto Ricans were in the house and the vibe was electric. The wait staff seemed short handed but they still took good care of us. Food is pretty pricey but good. The BANANAS IN HAVANA has got to be one of the best dessert type drinks I've ever had. It's a tight space so be ready for that close up almost speak easy club feel. A few dancer couples really come to DANCE THEIR BUTTS OFF. It's a show in it of itself.

If you are in San Antonio, we highly recommend trying to catch a show here!!! We went to a show called "New Orleans Night" and WOW!! It was amazing! Every performer in the band was phenomenal. Also, the food/drinks were delicious and the service was great. Both salads were large - probably could have done without our shared entree but didn't regret a thing. Highly recommend this place to locals and visitors! The band came off the stage and started a Congo line while playing "When the saints go marching in" towards the end of the show - so much fun!

Jazz Texas was awesome last night. It had an intimate, speakeasy vibe with soulful music, great food, classic and reharmonized drinks that were as memorable as the music. The bandleader, Brandon Guerra, was engaging and entertaining throughout the entire evening. The service was also exceptional. We'll definitely return and tell all our friends!

This place is amazing the atmosphere is insanely incredible. The food is so good and the drinks. The employees are nice and welcoming. You have to make a reservation. I had the opportunity to listen to some 90s grunge in jazz it was amazing. Definitely going back to see all the different artists.

Such a great spot to have date night, unwind weekday or weekend! Seriously. We've been here over 12 times and it's such a relaxing venue away from the chaos of our daily lives. MAKE A RESERVATION. You won't be disappointed. Delicious drinks and food as well.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! My only gripe is that I wish the shows were longer!! If you're in San Antonio, this place is a must see. Saw Doc Watson and his band and it was amazing. So much talent and such great music. The food is also to die for, albeit pricey. Service was also excellent. The waiters are attentive and super polite. If you plan to eat dinner here, my reco would be to choose an early arrival time so you can eat before the show starts and focus on the show/music instead of your meal!

Nice place for fun music. Friday New Orleans style. Make sure you buy tickets prior to arriving. They were very nice to allow us wait to see if there was any tables available. There was and fortunately we were only charged a smaller fee since it was almost towards the end of the night. Great place!

Jazz TX is such a magical place to me. Back when they first opened I was so happy SA had such a place with delicious food, cocktails, and, well, Jazz music. I enjoy the fact you know you're going to get a table when you purchase your tickets and it's gonna be one hell of a night. I can't wait to go back for another show and dinner.

Finally made it to Jazz, TX two years after we first heard of it! We were there on a Thursday date night for music from Jose Amador and Natiao Latin Jazz. Great 12 person jazz band! Equally awesome couples on the dance floor! Keisha was our server and she really made us feel at home ... first time to Jazz, TX and she's the reason we'll go back!

The music was absolutely fantastic, the venue is nice, the atmosphere was fun but the experience was not. We specifically got one of the earlier seating times because we wanted to get our food and enjoy the rest of the show... well the server forgot to put our food in. We got our food two hours after ordering and it was the second to last song. We felt rushed to eat, it wasn't enjoyable. They gave us a free tiny glass of champagne... which neither of us were drinking. We didn't want a small taste of champagne, we wanted our food. Unfortunately it happened on our first visit, I won't be coming back or recommending

Such a wonderful experience.We really enjoyed the total Jazz music and entertainment timecwent so quickly. The food was delicious and servers were on top of things throughout the show.Will definitely go back again.

Jazz Texas is a must when in San Antonio. Located downstairs with a "speak easy" vibe. Specialty drinks? They have them! The talent is amazing!

Everything was amazing.. food, performance, the environment 10/10 At the first I thought it was a little expensive but it was so worth it.

In town Dec 2023 for annual conference- amazing meal, great service and jazz quartet that performed was top notch. I will be back again next year.

I really debated on writing this review.......as we have been coming to JazzTx for many years and have NEVER had a bad experience. Everything is OUTSTANDING. The drinks, the food, the service, the musicians.....this is a true San Antonio gem. So much so we do not want the word to get out. It has gotten more difficult to get reservations and has slowly been discovered as one of the few class acts in SA. For a couple of hours you are whisked away to New York, or New Orleans, or Chicago, or Spain, in a basement hidden under the beautiful Pearl area. Cannot recommend this place enough......the perfect date night spot. Perfect. The owner has obviously figured out the recipe for EVERYTHING......service, food, entertainment. Kudos to him and his staff. Again, OUTSTANDING.
