Incredible place! All their food is phenomenal; not just the pizza! Staff is incredibly friendly! Burgers are juicy, ribs are meaty and delicious, chicken breasts are super yummy, salads and pasta are unbeatable! Wish they had tables to eat in but maybe that's why they can focus on outstanding quality!

I love their pizza. First encounter was great. The 2nd time I came it wasn't that great but food was still good.

Amazing food, easily one of the best pizza places in Chicago. Also even better customer service! The only down side about the place is pick up is not an option unless you want to be accosted & harassed by the local homeless in the area. They literally stand directly in front of the door blocking it pretty much every single day making it feel way sketchier than it should. Management & the owner should come up with a solution.

Ok America Let's get something straight about Chicago pizza... Yes we are famous for deep dish and stuffed pizza however however that's a tourist thing Where you go to the restaurant and order a deep dish pizza. With your grandparents from out of town.... Every neighborhood has a local pizza spot with thin crust pizza that can stand tall next to any new york thin crust pizza... Nobody is ordering deep dish or stuffed because it doesn't deliver well.. Not to mention the time is longer for delivery..... Sorry Lumanati's and Geirdanos.... But your secret is out. When i'm at my work in Rogers park I order from JB Alberto's cracker thin crust as you can see

They have the best food in Rogers Park and live their late night hours. Their giant pizza is a must for a large group. I have never dined I always have my food delivered.

I really liked the jumbo shrimp with cocktail sauce. Next time I want to try a thin crust pizza. I had a pan pizza but it was too much dough and not enough pizza sauce for me. FOR ME! My friend had calamari with cocktail sauce and liked it a lot! The women at the cash register, Kimberly, was nice and answered all my questions!

Been my new spot since I moved back in March! 10/5 would recommend!!!! Pizza is always on point, the chicken was juicy and crispy, stuffed pizza was also very mouth watering!!! And to the front service counter lady’s, all of y’all are amazing at customer service, never not a smile when I come in! Always have customers attended to! I wish I could give yall more stars!

I am highly upset I have any times at this restaurant and this never happened. I ordered a pizza with pepperoni and spinach and one side and the other side Italian beef and hot peppers. The Italian beef was spoiled. And I'm really upset because I called to speak with the manager and it kept sounding like they hung up the phone. I will be bringing the pizza back to you guys tomorrow for partial refund or to get my pizza made over. The only good thing I can say about this whole experience is the pepperoni side with a spinach was good. And this is real messed up because I'm pregnant and I was looking forward to it. This is a big disappointment.

Yum, yum, yum! This was a true Chicago-style pizza cut in squares and delicious. My son and I devoured a 16" pepperoni and sausage. The crust was crispy and perfect the sauce was deliciously seasoned and spread out over the pizza perfectly. Delivery was on time and quick.

J.B. Alberto's is the best pizza in Rogers Park! I like that you can order ahead for pick up, drop in for a pre-heated slice, or get delivery. You can customize halves of your pizza with different toppings. Our pizza order was ready in less than 20 mins. This isn't a place you'd plop down to eat but there is plenty of waiting room for when it gets busy.

I was visiting Chicago and this was the pizza my brother ordered for delivery. I was thinking the deep dish would be like Giordano's or Lou Malnati's but it wasn't. It had a thick crust that was more like a pie, true, but was missing a good solid layer of sauce and just wasn't as hearty as the other deep dish brands I mentioned previously. I appreciate my brother's effort and not wanting to move his car, but in the future, there won't be more J.B. Alberto's for me. It was a waste of $$$.

Typically a great pizza spot for old school Chicago pizza. A staple in the Rogers Park community. I love their sausage or plain cheese pizza. The last couple of times I have gotten pizza, it's been lukewarm and not hot. When you get pizza, the steam should be seen as you open the box. I've had it delivered and it was barely warm and I picked it when it was supposedly coming out the oven and still warm. It also taste bland and the crust is chewy. Not sure if the recipe has changed or if these are batched and just sitting but it's a bit disappointing

The pizza has always been great at this local Chicago joint. I recommend their thin crust pizzas. Delivery was fast.

I forgot some ingredients for dinner, so pizza to the rescue! Tried JB's because my partner thought he remembered liking them once upon a time. Unfortunately, we weren't terribly impressed, though I think I may have liked it least. It was bland, boring pizza; I have rarely had such a tasteless pie. I thought the crust was terrible, and the toppings were meh. We got a thin crust so perhaps the pan is better? I'm not mad we tried it to satisfy the curiosity, but I probably wouldn't eat it and definitely won't be ordering from here again.

03/11/24 There's a reason I only order once in a great while. This evening ordered 3lb rib tips. Sent two 1lb instead. Chef Salad with steak, decided to give it a try instead of the chicken. The meat was terrible. Had no flavor. It was chewy and ended up in garbage. It's experiences like this that make it understandable that over a year plus can pass w/o wanting to give it another try.

The food is quick always good and staff pretty friendly they open late I guess that comes with pizza and such.

My favorite pizza in Chicago. Always super fresh and perfectly baked. I've had so much bad pizza in the city I was loosing hope. But this pizza has always been perfect everytime I order it.

JB's is everything I love about pizza! The thin Crust is their classic best in my opinion.

Real. Calamari. Good pizza, nice people and with a convenient parking lot too. I was very happy and surprised by my first visit.

I have enjoyed J.B. Alberto's pizza in various situations, and it is always a satisfying bite. There really are only a handful of seats in the establishment, so you usually take your thick slice of pizza to go. I have also enjoyed the saucy sausage pizza at a street fair, as well as the thin crust pizza at a catered event. I have not tried any of their other food items, but you cannot go wrong with the pizza. I imagine I would be a regular at "JB" if I lived in Rogers Park.

Best pizza I experienced. Addictive! So CHAMP! Thumb up! I will order this pizza again in the future.

Lately this JB has been taking over an hour to deliver a simple 14 in pizza and now they charge a delivery fee of like $4.50 which seems extreme. Their pizza use to be of better quality and lately hasn't been great.. now I'm stuck eating a cold pizza.. time to find another pizza place.

Still dreaming about their BBQ Wings. So good, will have to try the pizza next time, it smelled delicious!

Got delivery from this place last night. Have had their pizza at friends places a hundred times, but wanted to try the deliciousness myself. I ordered a ribeye steak sandwhich and a thin slice pepperoni. Both were divine. I've had their pizzas but this single slice hit a bit different. It was a pretty big traditional sliced pizza slice. The cheese was meaty, pepperoni crispy, the pizza itself that moderately greasy feel we've grown to love. Bravo The ribeye steak sandwich was pretty delicious on its own. The steak was perfectly cooked and juicy/tender and the garlic bread and toppings were a very awesome addition. The only qualm I have are the steak fries, but even those I'd do 4/5 cause they had a good taste to them. Love this place and can't wait to order again!

We didn't feel like cooking so we had Alberto's do the hard work for us. Thumbs down on the onion rings. I found a photo on FB and they looked beer battered. Standard bread crumb type coating. Two thumbs up on 1/2 pound of chicken tenders. We opted for sweet & sour sauce. Quite tasty! The S&S shrapnel will go on rice. Waste not, yum yum.

JB Alberto's is where I recommend anyone to go for pizza. My family and I eat from here faithfully and now my family travels from South Holland for pizza and wings. I work for an organization in Rogers Park, and when I tell you this place has compassion and a heart for the community. If you are looking for great tool service and ambiance JB Albero's Pizza is the Place.

Been a long time customer since 2010's great pizza, good service. I usually order delivery which is an hour wait (i'm 5 miles out) but worth the pizza. order the wings, the cheese fries and get the thin crust. mozerrella sticks is a must the sauce is a bit more watery for my taste but still good and for dessert the brownie or the cheesecake or both!

A solid pizza place. Great selection of a variety of tasty pies. Buffalo wings are great too! Give them a try. They do an extra extra large pizza (like 2 feet) which is great if you have a crowd. And they deliver to Uptown!

Have been going to them over Thirty-five years. A neighborhood Gem. Delivery is fast and your food is always warm.

I am truly in awe of some of these restaurants. I ordered a pizza at 5:45pm and had to call several times to find out the location of my pizza. My husband and I were told at 7:01pm that we were the next stop and it would arrive any minute. The pizza arrived at 7:32pm by the time the food arrived I had spoken to the restaurant several times. They are no more than 15 mins away from my apartment. I cannot imagine what level of traffic, restaurant being busy, etc that would have them take nearly 2 hrs to deliver my food. I didn't realize that Tuesday was the busiest night for them. The pizza itself wasn't ice cold which I would expect if it's been sitting in a car for over an hour trying to get delivered. The pizza was good as usual but I cannot see myself rushing to order from J.B. for the time being. I hope they get more consistent with getting the food to you because I would definitely recommend trying out the pizza. I am not a fan of the wings. I truly don't know if they are fried because they are not crunchy. I will continue my search for my go-to pizza spot.

Incredible pizza! We always love getting the biggest pizza for the spectacle, but they also always taste phenomenal!

As I type I'm waivering between 3 and 4 stars. .. I'll complete my review then decide on an integer score at the end, lbvs. I really like the cheese blend at J.B.'s. Some places load their pizza with mounds of flavorless cheese. The sausage is very "Chicago" in the most complimentary way. There's something different about Chicago pizza sausage. Both traditional and cup pepperoni are offered as well. The sauce has a nice tang and subtle sweetness. I'm not a huge fan of the crust. It's not bad, but a little doughy and a little thicker than I prefer. .. Nice buttery flavor though. Prices are on the higher end especially considering the neighborhood. Ok, I think I'm ready to give my rating. ..all things considered I've settled at 3.49 stars. Rounding up for consistency, efficient service, and respect for their cult-like following. I wouldn't make a special trip, but a fine option if you're on the Northside.

Very good slices. Friendly staff. Don't love that there are lots of panhandlers who congregate outside, though that's the nature of the neighborhood.

Once again, I had a random issue with this place. This time around i was given a pizza that didn't look the right size(Saturday evening), problem is the company I had over went through half the pizza before I realized it. The next day I noticed the driver had given me the wrong ticket for the wrong sized pizza. I didn't want a free pizza or my money back or anything but when I called back today (Sunday) to explain the situation but the "manager" got straight up RUDE and combative on the phone and chose to argue as though he knew for sure that there was an error even though I'd barely explained the issue. People in this neighborhood and the surrounding areas deserve better business than this. Or maybe its just me. I really hope I can speak to the actual manager of this establishment to straighten out this issue because no customer should be spoken to the way the person spoke to me on the phone. I also hope this site publishes this review because everyone who orders from this restaurant ought to read it.

We have ordered pizza from here numerous times, both delivery and pick up. Delivery obviously takes a bit longer, but we have never had issues and the pizza is usually delivered within an hour. We ordered a pizza for pick up on New Year's Eve, and had no issues. Glad to have a great neighborhood pizza spot!

Just a staple in the community and we always order pizza from here. The prices have recently gone up but what hasn't. The pizza is amazing but also the fried catfish.

I don't think you can get a better deep dish by the slice in all of Chicago. I used to drive a cab and it kinda became a passion of mine to discover new pizza places all over the city. This one ranks as my #1 of all the pizza spots I discovered.

I order from them often, I've tried other pizza places in my area just to try them out and I must same JB's are the best in the area! Really good Pizza. Drivers are always nice.

Everything I tried was pretty good though the pizza sauce is a little bland. The rib tips were delicious!

To be clear: these are not Michelin stars. However, the food is reliably appetizing. Their pan pizza is outright good-to-great. The service is reliable, and they have their own ordering site (no insane fees to Grubhub or Uber). We order from this place weekly.

Best pizza in town quality ingredients love the small chard pepperoni! They also have a wonderful beef and gardinera pizza! They still do heart shaped pizza which is cute! The delivery is why it's a 4 star I order there once they never delivered my wings or gave me a refund for their mistake! Would recommend picking up and taking home

Without a doubt one of the best pizza places on the planet and I live in Rogers Park. How lucky am I?

I have been a loyal customer for over 12 years. Never had a bad dinner experience from JB Alberto's until today. I purchased an Italian beet and fries. Got the sandwich and fries home. The meat was extremely tough. The fries were extremely greasy. I didn't finish either- then around one in the morning I'm awakened because I had to puke up the grease. I went to the restaurant calmly and kindly to report this to Pascale the manager. He came came to me and had me go to his office which was right off the kitchen. Very strange thing to do around food. Exposed food everywhere. I even asked him if it was a good idea to have me back there without a mask or anything to protect their food. He said no. I think he brought me to his office because he knew he-was going to treat me like I was a liar- because he did. He instantly became accusatory and he took it down a road where it should not have gone.I tried telling him what happened and already he's cutting me off like wow. I told him I wasn't seeking a refund I told him he should know I got sick. He told me next time go to the doctor so I told him I didn't come for my money back - foolish of me. He then went on to tell me none of his customers ever got sick from their food. I told him there's a first time for everything. Mind you I've been a loyal customer for years. So I told him I see where you're taking this and I walked through their kitchen past exposed food on out the door.

They really have an extensive menu of yummy pastas, Italian beefs, chicken and more. Love the fresh bread that comes with the pastas. Italian beef on garlic bread is my favorite.

Last night I ordered a jumbo shrimp dinner. Well the shrimps were not jumbo,fried so hard. And under 5lbs of fries Please don't compensate with extra, extra fries. Which i threw away. Because the shrimps were nasty! I just had hand surgery. Didn't feel like the hassel to call and complain

I had read reviews about the delivery issues and was hesitant but this place has been recommended to me so many times since I moved to Chicago that I wanted to give them a shot. I ordered online--it said delivery in an hour. My delivery driver showed up exactly 1 hour from when I placed my order! I was pleasantly surprised and he was very friendly. The pizza--It's a great pie. I'm really satisfied with my order, I chose to get the sausage pie as everyone mentions how delicious the Chicago sausage is. They're not wrong. I'm really glad I decided to order and will definitely order again soon!

I love the pizza here, however the customer service and the delivery team have not been as good lately. My husband and I have been loyal customers for nearly twenty years and tonight's lack of customer service was the final straw.

This is one of the best restaurants around. I am moved to this neighborhood three years ago, and I was hipped to this restaurant two years ago. I am on a fixed income, but I make sure to put enough away where I can eat here twice a week. Whenever I have a problem they fix it. No question asked! Everything I've tried here has been wonderful. Placed my order via phone for pick up, the thin crust is nice hot and crispy and sooo flavorful, it shocked me how good it is!

Ordered online and was given an estimate of 60 minutes for delivery. I called the store after 70 min and was told it would be leaving "soon," that they were busier than expected. I called again after nearly 90 minutes and was told my order had just left. That was 10 minutes ago. I live less than 5 minutes from the store (but didn't pickup due to weather). Still have not received my order. I love JBs, but won't order again for awhile because this wait is now 30 minutes past the estimated hour and I still have not received my food.

I think there should be a rule that you can't leave a review for a delivery order. That's always where things go wrong. Sorry to you people who had service. Now. The pizza slices are some of the best around. You want the best on the planet. Go to New York or Italy. There is nowhere in Chicago that has truly great pizza. If you think there is, please tell me. And no, not Pequads. That said, jb's has consistently had really good generous slices for a good price. The people behind the counter are usually welcoming, occasionally not real present. Enjoy! And again, Chicago pizza can be good, but it doesn't make the playoffs. Try Brooklyn or Manhattan.
