Our waitress was great. Food was excellent. Best fish and chips I've ever had. It looked so good I forgot to get a picture and dug right in! Never had to wait for refills, everyone was friendly. 1st time there and it will definitely not be our last. Highly recommended giving it a shot.

JB Dawson provides a great dining experience. The food is consistent and the service was great. Imani was attentive and gave good food recommendations. The salmon was delicious. The wings in the sweet tangy sauce were good and the cheesesteak egg rolls were a big hit! My sons loved them. The food was solid overall.

Absolutetly love the upscale atmosphere but reasonable pricing. Menu was diverse and the drink list was very creative. We would go back again and again...except it's over an hour away from home.

The burger and fries I got was a bit too salty for me personally, I tried to eat a few bites but I couldn’t. I asked them if it was possible I could get another with no salt. They said it was possible without seasoning which was possibly what made it salty. I said okay, the manager also came by to check on me which was really nice. They remade my burger and fries exactly how I wanted it well done with no salt. Two different servers also came by to see if I wanted anything I told one that I was waiting for my waiter and she said “it’s okay I can still help you” wow, anywhere else they’d be like “ah wait for your waiter, I’m not your waiter or I’d get your waiter” lolol Great service and very friendly, definitely recommend this place base on the food quality and service. What more could you ask for from a restaurant? Had to write a review because I was really satisfied.

Our visit was 4 Jan 2025, table of 5 to celebrate three birthdays. (5th, 7th, 10th). Our visit was around 1pm. The staff were professional, friendly and helpful. Food came out hot and was great, except for my sister's dish that came out with a strand of hair on the plate. The dish was taken back as soon as it was brought out and apologies were given but once you have that view, it takes away of your desire to want anything else they bring out. That dish is not pictured and two of us had the same dish. The rest of us did enjoy our dishes, I ended up taken the new sub plate back home to NC with me, put in freezer and ate it later. It was still good. The environment was pleasant, clean, and you could hear your guests at the table. If in the area, would come back. Mistakes do happen and they did their best to correct the mistake.

Sadly they are down to their last two locations. This one and Lancaster. I don’t know why. Very tasty. Excellent customer service. It’s not cheap but it’s worth it and fills you up.

What a great place! My husband has been here for a few business lunches and we decided to have dinner here for Valentine's Day and our Anniversary. The atmosphere is warm not too loud and we had a wonderful server. He had their shrimp/scallop skewers...the best scallops he said. I had filet mignon, baked potato and creamed spinach. Filet was done perfectly (well done can be dry and charred, this was not dry with no pink...just right), we both devoured the baked potato. And, THE best creamed spinach I've ever had. Ruth Chris' has been my favorite....no more. Margaritas was yummy. Nice touch is small of pumpernickel bread with maple syrup butter at beginning. We will be back!!​

Great service. Friendly and speedy. I ordered an impossible burger. Instead of bread or any sort of french fry, I ordered a side salad. It was big and it was so fresh!! Everyone else at our table enjoyed their order, hamburger & ribs that just fell off the bone! We did get two bowls of crab soup. And crab. Dip with nacho chips as an appetizer. I got half of one of the soups and I really enjoyed it. It really was so delicious.. Really was a delicious meal ! No room for dessert! Great service

We order a take out order with a good amount of sides they all tasted like they came straight out of freezer at Walmart disappointed and dissatisfied !

The only thing left at Dawson's that is good is the brown bread and Maple butter. Everything else is poor quality. My chicken had a weird, old taste to it and the brown rice had a crust on it as if it had been sitting in the kitchen all day. My friend had chicken and vegetables that could not be eaten because it was so salty. It took 40 minutes for our meals to come out. I just can't go there again. It used to be great and now it is not worth the money:(

We came back again... a year later. The only reason that we have not visited this place prior is that we are from out of town. Our waitress, Karen, was amazing! She made our dining experience extra special just for being pleasant, kind, and funny. Food was exceptional, just like our last visit. Everyone loved their food. During this visit, my husband got the Baked Parmesan Chicken again, and I got the rotisserie chicken. Delicious! We also got the lobster bisque. Omg... it was good and plenty of lobster. Can't wait to return again.

This place was packed on a Friday night! 40 min wait and the bar was also hopping! Our waitress was really nice and we started off with some signature drinks. We got the honey Sriracha brussels sprouts for appetizer, and they were so flavorful! For dinner, I opted for the twisted burger with a side of mac & cheese. The burger was cooked perfection, and the mac & cheese was so creamy and delicious. my husband got the special which was a steak and stirfry noodle dish which was also very tasty. I would definitely come back again!

We stopped here while traveling to Pennsylvania to visit family. Once inside, I knew we were in for a treat. The menu was fantastic, all of comfort food I love! I opted for the chicken tenders, and they were amazing. Our meals were delicious, especially the Mac and cheese I ordered as a side. We were getting together with family later that day, and to my surprise it was JB Dawson's that was selected by the family we came to visit, so we ended up eating there twice that day. This place has great food, great service, and a classy decor. This will definitely be our go-to restaurant when we're in the Philly area again!

Ribs fall off the bone. Loaded potato is the best. Service impeccable. Prices are good. Quality of food consistent for many years. Top notch bar too! Make a reservation or long wait for table.

We took the grandkids to Sesame Place. We did not want to eat at Sesame Place. Friends who live nearby recommended J. B. Dawson's as a big tavern restaurant that is family friendly. Truth! We had a great 3 PM late lunch...with a libation for each grown up. Grilled cheese and chicken nuggets worked for kids, with a side of their warm apple chunks (like the middle of an apple pie). Kids were served quick so they could then have sundaes! Joy. Adults share ahi tuna app and spinach dip. Then two types of chicken sandwiches and a cheeseburger. All good tavern food w good fries. One in our party can't eat gluten and the server was quick to provide a separate gluten-free menu. Great approach to have it printed up. The hostess station people were grumpy, but the servers were great. A good experience overall after nearly 3 hours in Sesame Place! We chilled and relaxed!

The service is very good. The staff is very aware of what is going on and what you might need. The food is always excellent!

I am still traumatized from my experience in 2022. Have not been able to eat or even look at a burger since. Thank you to the cook for missing that quarter sized piece of plastic in my burger.

Food was delicious and the server was kind but a little slow in refilling drinks. No other issues though and definitely recommend the ribeye and soups.

Came across this place on a work trip Friday afternoon when my co-worker and I were looking for a place to stop for lunch. Nice cozy warm feeling when you walk in. Seems like a great place for a date night since the lights were so dim and it was a little on the dark side. I tried the crab alfredo pasta which was really good and had a decent amount of crab which took me by surprise. Now because of that I'm guessing that's why it was $24. Which is totally fine if it came with sides. $24 for one portion of pasta and no sides is high even for todays prices. Didn't even get bread at the table. Now for the service our waitress couldn't care less about us. She only had our table and two other tables and she was so hard to track down. Other waitresses and waiters flying all over the place, checking their tables left and right. Ours seemed to be hiding or something. Took over 30 minutes to pay for our food. Decent place to try, food is really good so I would try again if I lived in the area but don't need to go out of my way to try this place again.

This is my go to place for steak. Love the Maui steak I just it was a smaller portion. The original salad with garlic dressing is the best salad ever. Service is always amazing. Never wait for anything The place is always clean and staff is friendly. Highly recommend it. Service and food has never not been the best since they opened.

Since my last visit here was less then great I was nervous about my Mother's day reservation. However, I'm so glad I decided to return here. Food was absolutely amazing. It came out quick & everything was cooked perfectly. The steak melted in your mouth as did the lobster tail. Service was exceptional. All the servers & runners were working together & the manager was even out on the floor checking in on tables. It was such a great experience, unlike our last visit here, so I'm happy to see this place returning to how it used to be. I can't wait to come back.

The seasonal Item boston baked haddock was so so. I wish the panko was coated on the fish to give it that crunchy texture vs. a pile of mushy breadcrumbs topped with shrimp, crab, and alfredo sauce. Also, the right end was way over cooked & inedible. The Brussel sprouts were great except for the bigger pieces, which were tougher. I wish I had taken a picture of my mother's Maui ribeye, even though it looked like ordinary cooked steak. It was cooked perfectly and had a great balance of flavors, which included the sweetness of pineapple. Her and my father enjoyed the black beans & rice.

Made a reservation here for my mother's birthday dinner. Thursday at 4:45. Pretty empty when we got there. By the time we left it was packed. The food was very good. I had looked at photos of everyone's food on Yelp and pretty much already knew what I was going to order (although I changed my mind when I got there. But my dad got what I was originally going to get so I got to taste it ) Here's what we ordered: the filet Oscar. Very good but I ordered medium and it was well done. I didn't return it because it was not dry because of the sauce/crab mixture on top. Had it been plain, it may have been too dried out. But was still very tasty. The cheesesteak rolls were great. They come with a horseradish sauce that made them even better. My dad got the crab alfredo which was delicious. It was not as heavy and cheesy as most Alfredos which was nice. My mom has the chicken breast (oscar, I think). She did say that was very tough and dried out as well. She loved the baked beans as her side. And she had the lobster bisque which was delicious. My husband had the prime rib, which is what my parents always used to get when we went there years ago. I'm not a prime rib person but my husband said it was very good. My dad is getting that next time. Said it was always good there. Never too fatty. His French fries were amazing lol. Oh... and our loaf of bread was horrible. We all love bread and were definitely disappointed with that. I think they left it in the oven a bit too long so it seemed old. She offered a new loaf but we were over it at that point and didn't want to fill up on bread. Drinks were great! Service was very good! Food was overall very good tasting, with really just a few 'cooking errors' I'll call them. We haven't been there in years but glad we picked to go there and will definitely be back to try other dishes... and maybe even hit happy hour

I had a trying week and decided to treat myself at Dawson's. It did not disappoint. Sometimes restaurants treat this "party of 1" as a nuisance, not the case here. I was greeted with smiles and served well. Steak Oscar was cooked perfectly and I enjoyed the sides of garlic mashed and cinnamon apples. Haad a glass of excellent Pinot Noir, and ended with aa snifter of Fragelico. I was never rushed. A very nice experience. Highly recccommend!

Always can count on a great take out order ... their packages are superbly & neatly packed and prepared and always cooked as requested ! Steaks are always cooked to what temperature you enjoy! Nearly 25 years and never had to return a single steak because it was not cooked to exact right temperature! ***Only wish they'd get back their fried breaded white fish they used to have ! Miss that big time ... like everything it was some of the best breaded fish & fries around but during COVID ... it was removed from line up on the menu ... The Chicken walnut salad is also a great meal all by itself! Their side salads are also a nice side as they are always very freshly made and consistently tasty with a full array of multiple tasty salad dressings.

Good and service are top notch. Today for lunch I had the Ahi tuna appetizer and my husband had the Poke bowl- delicious! We have eaten here many times over the past 20 years, every time has been perfect! I wish other restaurants ran the team server way that Dawson's does.

Ok I'm in the mood for a steak and heard Dawsons was decent so off I go. Upon arrival I put my name in, they took my cell number and advised 45 min wait. After 30 min I received a text and in we went. The decor was dark, the lights were low and it felt very comfortable. They were busy so it took about 5 min before someone came to our table. I ordered the 12oz strip rare with a berry salad. The salad came out first and it was cold fresh and delicious. The main course came out a little quick and we sent it back. I can't stand being served dinner while I'm still eating my appetizer. They kept my dinner warm and it was excellent. The steak was done perfect and the seasoning was spot on. I did not need any steak sauce. The staff was attentive, kind and professional. For a lower price steak $32 the meal was well above par along with my total experience. I will return and great job to Dawson's and it's staff

It was our first time visiting JB Dawsons and it will NOT disappointment. It was so good we went back the next day for dinner. The staffing is superb. Very accommodating, pleasant, and attentive. We haven't had such attention in some time. It is clear that management is ahead of the curve on planning and structuring how the service should be run. The décor is rustic with a warm glow of lighting. Love the in-table boosters chairs for kids and the flame lit lanterns. The food: Lunch was a basic entree. Burgers and good old fries. Served to temperature with a great flame broiled taste. Dinner was NY strip steaks served at the medium-rare expectation. Do have the Slyfox IPA; backed with flavor. Reservations are recommended. We were able to get a table as a walk-in for dinner in about a half hour. Not too bad considering it was a packed house.

The food was excellent, well prepared for the price the waitress service was great. The ambiance wasn't bad. I will definitely be returning.

In for a late lunch it is 330pm on a Thursday. We were seated promptly in a bar booth. Unfortunately we were forgotten about. Seems like the bartender was also our server and she had other things on her mind. The place is a chain eatery with a pub like atmosphere. Anyway we got the attention of another human and gave her our order. We have been here many times in the past but not recently and always enjoyed the ribs here they are always delicious and tender. Our salads were very good I got a Caesar and my wife got the field greens with honey mustard dressing. The ribs were great as we remember them. A nice place for a meal. Mark & Nancy.

We went to JBDawsons last night. It was busy with a 35 minute wait which was accurate. We did receive a text asking if we were still going to wait which we did. Once we were seated our server came by quickly. She was having a sad day as we were hearing about the retirement of our favorite Eagles player. She gave us the necessary time to make our choices. I got a crab cake sandwich and my husband got the risotto with lobster, scallops and shrimp. Both of our meals were wonderful. We look forward to coming back soon. Thanks Jennifer for wonderful evening and staff for a delicious meal.

The wife and I came for dinner on 8-8-24 and we both enjoyed our dinner experience. Our server Rihanna was great along with all the other servers who helped out filling our water glasses etc. they have a separate GF menu and my with got the prime rim. She said she enjoyed it. She gave me a piece and I thought it was very good for the price. Was it the best I ever had. No. But it was good for the price compared to other restaurants in the area. I had lobster bisque to start and it was one of the best I ever had. Much better than what I got at the lobster house or from other shore restaurants. My soup had large pieces of lobster. For my entrée, I had the braised short ribs and they were excellent.

We visited here on our trip to sesame place. Food was delicious and the service was great! Super friendly staff and kid friendly. We will definitely be back next time we come to sesame place.

Been wanting to try this place for some time, so I came here with my best friend to give it a shot. When we walked in I was glad that I made a reservation because this place was packed! Once seated we ordered a couple drinks and some appetizers. We had the Twisted Shrimp and the Cheesesteak Egg rolls to start. Both tasted very good. I especially enjoyed the horseradish sauce that came with the egg rolls. I personally think the portions on the Twisted Shrimp were a little on the small side for the price, but so be it. For my entree I had the Chicken Tenders with a Half Rack of Ribs. The chicken? Crispy and juicy as you could ever ask for. The ribs? These ribs were falling off the bone and accompanied by the perfect barbecue sauce. They also had a seasonal side which was the Mexican Corn. Gotta say I was impressed by that as well. If you want a good night out with good food, then this is your place. Just make sure you make a reservation!

Food was good, decent ambience. Not overly exciting but pretty good. Would recommend the steak.

Great food, family oriented, alcohol served. Wheel chair accessibility, daily specials, kids menu, service was outstanding. Prices higher than expected for a good steak but mostly fair. Soups are a must, they are excellent. Overall it was pretty good and I'm looking forward to my next visit. My only complaint was the noise but something's you can tolerate especially during the Holiday Season.

I have been eating at Dawsons for 10 years. Yesterday I went for lunch and ordered the 1/2 club sandwich and salad. The salad was fine but when the club sandwich was placed in front of me it looked nothing like a club sandwich. Wish I had thought to take a pic of it. It was a small rectangular piece of what looked like fried, greasy bread. There was one piece of dry ham and a slice of what looked like a tomato with 2 thick pieces of cheese. I took one bite and left it. They have raised prices which I understand, but the quality of the products has gone down. Very disappointed.

I've driven by this place for more than a decade. I've always wanted to stop in. It looks like a decent place to be ... turns out, it is. Came here during happy hour. Discounted apps and drinks. We ordered 4 different appetizers thinking that the apps were smaller portions. They weren't. I honestly couldn't believe the portions. They're huge! So much so, I didn't have room for an actual entree. A few beers and apps it was. The only downside was the beer selection. Every beer on tap were IPA's & Ale. No stouts/porters in sight. Can't stand IPA's. I ordered bottled guinness, of which that after only 2 bottles, they ran out. Really?? wtf. Total bummer. I would've stayed a lot longer if they were stocked properly. Management issue. Chk this place out

This place is incredible! Definitely gonna be our go-to now! Excellent service and amazingly delicious food! Beautiful atmosphere with lanterns and brick - so nice! A packed house on a Wednesday night should tell you how great they are! Highly recommend!

Went for my sons 18th birthday. Place was packed. I was told 50-60 min wait. It turned out to be 25. Service was good. Everything came out right. Had 8oz filet creamed spinach baked potato and salad. My son pretty much had the same. The filet was melt in your mouth delicious. Everything was good! Always a good experience. Key lime pie for desert!

I been here before and I remember it being amazing, and it did not disappoint. I would question why you don't like their food. The only complaint about the food, some pieces are a little salty. But it will not stop me from coming back. If I didn't like trying new things, I would be back again today.

Consistency is key and JB Dawson's has had that over the years. I miss many of the old menu items but it's still a great go to for something yummy.

It was National Daughters Day. My husband and I decided to take our daughters somewhere we hadn't been. I decide to put my Yelp resources to work and found JB. Dawson's in Langhorne, PA. We called in and made our reservations. I received a text that our table was ready but we only had 10 mins. to arrive or they would cancel the reservation. We were so excited after parking that we ran up to the door not realizing that we were being watched so abruptly came to a halt. We couldn't hold back our laughter for long. As we gained out composer we stopped at the hostess desk to let them know we had arrived. The hostesses were pleasant. The ambiance was nice with muted lights and clean. I ordered the whole rack of baby back ribs with broccoli and seasonal sweet potatoes as my entree and my fav the lobster bisque. It was hot, creamy, and lots of lobster pieces places on top of the soup. Mmmmmm Mmmmmm Mmmmmm! So darn yummy!!! I can still remember every bite, sip, slurp. I know slurping is not polite but I made an exception because it's my business! The ribs were not that flavorful and the pig must have been on a diet because there wasn't much meat on the ribs. Also the ribs tasted as if they boiled the flavor out of them and then slathered Bar-b-Que sauce on them. They weren't bad but not anything that I would ever recommend or order again. The broccoli was perfect and the sweet potatoes weren't that special either. I received 7 tiny cubes of sweet potatoes that had cinnamon, maple like flavor. They were tasty, just too few and they needed some juice on them from what they were cooked in. It was almost similar to what I call candied sweets. We ordered the Buffalo wings. Those wings are the best! I would go there for the wings (and the lobster bisque) alone. They were freshly made. Tender and juicy inside and crispy on the outside. The blue cheese was something special. The food in me wanted more but I digress. I always try my family's food so that I can also share more with those who want to know. My husband had the filet mignon Cooked medium. If you know me my fork was on a timer 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 then my fork and mouth ask to be invited in for a taste. That steak was delicious, melt in my mouth greatness. You will not be disappointed with filet Mignon. It is everything! The Caesar salad was fresh and delicious with shavings of Parmesan cheese! Although I didn't care for the ribs I still highly recommend this restaurant because they service was excellent, the food was prepared and brought out in a timely manner, the silver ware was clean, table clean, and the food was delicious. The prices are a little higher than what I believe they should be but it isn't a deal breaker. I still rate them as 5 Star! Love them!!!

Omg first off - the strawberry express is too AMAZING!! I had 3 lol The lobster bisque was great but wish it was a little hotter - it came lukewarm and also came with all the food at once so was not as enjoyed in the true sense of soup as an appetizer. The crab Alfredo was amazing - the kids all loved it with us. The twister burger was good - like an decent burger at a restaurant. The Brussels sprouts we upgraded for our burger side but it wasn't really worth it - tasted too heavy of bacon which takes away from the Brussels sprouts. The broccoli side was great but was annoying that we paid $6 for 3 heads of it when I thought it came with the kids menu. Still the kids enjoyed it so I didn't really push the matter. I could have sworn it said side of broccoli or mandarin orange was included for kids meals... The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls were just OK - very salty but missing something- like a spicy mayo or something as the ranch wasn't cutting it and didn't enhance any flavors for it. Service was great - attentive without being overbearing. The chocolate chip cookie sundae was very good-definitely recommend. Slight crunch but soft and gooey contrast with the vanilla ice cream was a perfect way to end the dinner. We devoured it completely.

One of my favorite places to eat!! Always a good meal and atmosphere.. have to recommend the cream spinach!!
