"Jeannie's, once again helmed by Tom Douglas and concentrating on pastas, salads, and pizzas — the latter suggested by a flickering gas hearth on one side of the room that is nearly the sole decoration. The double-patty burger was better — and cheaper — than the one at the Nordstrom Burger Bar, with zippy garlic aioli, a dill pickle, and some sear to the patties. The salad that came alongside was fab, too. The sausage and cherry pepper pizza, an oblong and expertly baked affair, was compromised by the lack of cherry peppers, instead having mild yellow pepperoncini. The dish described as baked cauliflower mac and cheese made us scratch our heads." - Robert Sietsema

The food here was surprisingly delicious! I am not a fan of non traditional sandwiches but the porchetta was excellent. The greens were a tad bitter but no big deal. The clam chowder was decent. There were lots of claims in there. And the beet salad with vegan cheese was excellent. The cheese was a tad too sour. I think the salad could have used a drizzle of honey. The waitresses here are EXCELLENT!

I came here for a pasta event! It was really cool, by barilla pasta. The food was amazing and the chef showed us a presentation of the whole thing. I thought the entire experience was amazing and I would definitely come back to this restaurant. The only thing is it’s inside Nordstrom so the vibes are a little off.

Enter the new Nordstrom’s, go 2 levels down to LL2, turn right and you will find a couple casual restaurants and a coffee bar. We had an excellent lunch here. Fresh, interesting, very pleasant server, quick. This is a find for a casual lunch or supper in midtown that won’t break the bank. Attractive space. Very good cocktails and they do a happy hour too. I would highly recommend.

Secreat Place in Nordstrom. 2 level down in Nordstrom. Delicious foods and Kind staff. Pizza and Steak were really good. Appetizer meat ball was so good. Chef Han explained me each of dishes. Have to say Thank you. I will definitely come back again soon!

UPDATE- after reaching out to their corporate office, all we got was a nice email. Definitely do NOT recommend! A simple apology would have been nice after this waiter in photo forced us to leave before we finished our meal on top of all his rudeness! 1 star is a lot for the lack of service we received today around 12:30pm (10/15/2022) attached shows our waiter. This lovely gentleman asked us to leave before we finished lunch. His excuse was our dogs snapped at a kid. Mother of the kid did not say anything and in fact walked by us again after the alleged “snapping.” Our waiter did not open a discussion. He simply came and said we had to leave. In fact, from the start, he was hostile. He said we could not give our own treats to our dogs nor could we give water to our dogs with our own water bowl. In NYC we have been to many way more upscale restaurants and none ever watched us as if we were prisoners. This very lovely waiter may do well as a prison guard. In hospitality business, he is rare. We will not be recommending this restaurant despite delicious food and drinks. Mr._Milo_NYC

Good place to pause for a quick and delicious meal while shopping, etc. Host and servers were super knowledgeable about menu items. Service was fast and good. Drinks (non-alcoholic) took a minute but some of the best we had on a 5-day stay in the city. Ginger berry smash had fresh berry garnish. The lavender chai tasted like it had real sugar (crystals) in it. Got the cauliflower and carrot appetizers 😋

Had lunch here and it was good 👍🏾 The Lamb Piadina with fries was good. The service was a little slow, but the staff was nice and friendly. Therefore I will be going back, because the price was reasonable. I haven’t tried their pizza yet, so I’ll leave it for next time.

Now Jeannie’s closes at 6 which is new but we arrived at 5:20 and were told that they close at 5. We said the hours say 6 but the answer was that last seating is at 5 and last order is 5:20. There was no sign saying it was closed and they acted as if we should have known. It’s a pity because this was a good go to.

Yelp
For what it was, it was surprisingly good! I wouldn't have expected such solid food at the lowest floor of Nordstrom (even if it is a flagship location)! My boyfriend and I got the porschetta and gruyere panini and the mushroom pizza. I liked my mushroom pizza, it was on the creamy side, which isn't to my taste personally, but I still enjoyed it. The caramelized onions and mushroom flavor was as strong. It's not shaped on a circle, which is what I expected, but I still liked it! My boyfriend got a panini and also really enjoyed it. He loved the bread (which was focaccia) and the acidity of it that paired well with the meat inside. I tried the fries and those were wonderfully fried! Love those skinny fries. And the dipping sauce was soooo good, it was olive aioli and the olive flavor was AMAZING. Would come back for sure and try other things. Service was great too and place was nice!

Yelp
Nordstrom, NYC flagship is home to multiple dining options. Shop and dine are always a delight.Quality dining and shopping are even better. Out with another sister for a late lunch. My first time to sit and dine at Jeannie's. The seating is OK. The server was delighted to be there and shared insight. We started with clam chowder, a cup for me and a bowl for my sister. There should be three crossings served with the bowl. Delicious and yes I shall continue to mix up my dining inside Nordstom. I opted for the lamb piadina and it was a delight. My palette was in heaven. We closed with lavender chai, her first. The lavender chai was introduced to me by another sister xoxoxo.

Yelp
While I have been to other Nordstrom Bistros in the past and have always loved going, this my first time dining at Nordstrom in NYC. Different than other Nordstrom Bistros but equally as good. Different menu with a lot of great options. Slightly pricy but large portions. As always, Nordstrom customer service is the best and did not disappoint at Jeannie's either. Highly quality food, high level of service in a comfortable cozy atmosphere. A new favorite place to go while shopping.

Yelp
We attended Jeannie's for their breakfast with Santa and what a blast! There were so many activities for the kids AND the food was delicious! I had the biscuit and gravy with chicken sausage and it was amazing! It had a little kick that really made the dish! It's right in Nordstrom so it the perfect place to brunch and shop!

Yelp
Nice little place in Nordstrom. Got 2 pizzas and they were both very good. Service was a bit slow, but it's nice to sit down and relax a little. It was quiet and not super packed - unlike everything else in the city. I'd go back!

Yelp
Oh boy. As much as I am on this side of town, how did I not know about this place? I love the aesthetics of the restaurant- modern, comfortable, and simple. Light neutral colors everywhere, an open kitchen to watch the chefs and cooks make their magic, they have a pizza oven that gave the bread such a nice crust. Jeannie's is located in the basement of Nordstrom, tucked away in the back, and next to matcha or mochi donuts. The menu is simple and simple to read. I ordered Spinach Artichoke Dip... it's a no for me. Cream cheese and Ricotta cheese do not belong in Spinach Dip, it's a combination that should work, but it doesn't. It tasted more like spinach and spoiled cottage cheese dip. I took two bites and sent it back. I then ordered a cup of tomato soup- excellent. After my soup, I had a madeleine and green tea. The madeleine had a nice lemony flavor(yes) and the green tea was my favorite green tea , the Mighty Leaf brand. The focaccia that came with the dip was elite, the crostini that came with the soup was just as great, but too small. Jeannie's didn't get too busy during my time there. Not too many staff, which I appreciated. The two waiters constantly check on me, the hostess was super nice, and the manager with the kick- ass red hair was expediting the food line. I enjoyed watching them seamlessly work. Although, I had returned the dip, my waiter didn't take it off my bill. I didn't make a big deal of it because he seemed new and I, also know how much restaurants are struggling right now. I found another gem in the city, and I can't wait to come back.

Yelp
You have to go to the basement of Nordstrom to find this spot, so it was really just luck that I stumbled across it. Loved the spinach dip and chefs special pizza. Soup of the day was chicken tomatillo - yum! Will definitely come back for lunch again - great to have a fast, comfortable spot in this neighborhood!

Yelp
WOW!!! I loved, and highly recommend the (Pastas section) BAKED CAULIFLOWER MAC-N-CHEESE. It is OUTRAGEOUSLY DELICIOUS !! See photos. It was so darn great that I even asked to take home the little bit I had left because I was too full. That's how yummy good it was...leave no Mac-n-cheese behind...when it's this delicious. It consisted of shell pasta, Beecher's Cheddar, some thin slices of cauliflower on or near the yummy little bit of greens on the plate (photo). It also says basil pesto, and I think that was on the tiny bit of salad greens. ($15). I was surprised at how good this dish was. My friend had a cup of tomato basil soup, which she enjoyed; and then had the Chicken Lemon Campanelle, which has white wine, Parmesan, spinach --from the Pasta Section. She enjoyed it very much. Service was friendly and welcoming, as well as a "we aim to please" GREAT ATTITUDE ALL AROUND. VERY VERY NICE STAFF. Large seating area. We sat in a comfortable booth. We were too full for dessert, but I plan to go back to try some dessert, at some point, since the food was so great.

Yelp
We had geat dinner st this restaurant I love Jeannies and Chef Han is really awesome.

Yelp
Yayoh was our hostess and she was the best. So good at suggesting dishes and was friendly the whole time. So this place is the new addition in the Nordstroms downtown. The store itself is so big and spacious. There are some nice dine in options and cafe options through the store. We tried out Jeannies and so glad we did. I got the shell pasta with meatballs. It's kind of a baked dish with the cheese melted on top. So good! My friend had the shrimp salad and that was pretty good too. But the best dish of them all was the brussell sprouts. Trust me on this one. Just order it. And don't share cause it's that good. Really nice for lunch or if you want a quiet place to catch up with friends and it's not crazy crowded.

Yelp
My review is only for the coffee shop. Located on the lower level of Nordstrom on 57th St., this sits in an open concept dining area. Who would have thought I'd be getting a latte at Nordstrom while shopping? Anyway, the brown sugar latte was excellent and probably had me on a sugar rush for some time. Service was quick. Plenty of seating though I took my drink to go. They sell baked goods as well. Go to the right and you'll find a little donut place selling mochi donuts if you don't fancy the other items. Quick, convenient, and good!

Yelp
This is not a dining destination: it's a "oh yeah maybe I should eat something before I spend too much in the shoe dept" kinda place. Got the kale salad after looking at the few Yelp photos and it looking good! I'm a pasta-pizza-cookies kinda girl, but I gave health a chance tonight and went for it. The kale salad is really tasty - definitely one of the better salads I've had - while my friend's pizza was pretty mediocre and not worth finishing. The Chardonnay from local Wolffer Estate Vineyard in Long Island was delicious, too.

Danan R.

Yelp
Very solid option at Nordstrom in the lower level that is family friendly. The food is great - definitely get the cauliflower Mac and Cheese and one of the pizzas. The crust on the pizzas is divine and perfectly crispy and chewy. We tried the fennel and sausage which was great. The prices are also very reasonable at $15-19 for an entree. We also tried the Brussels sprouts appetizer with bacon and they were flavorful and perfectly charred with crispy thick bacon bits. They also have a gelato bar as well and Oh Mochi donuts next door which is a great desert option. Our server was also very attentive and had some great recommendations as well, including the Bambolini dessert which was great with a creamy ricotta dip and crispy sugar dusted donuts. Worth a visit if you are at Nordstrom!

Yelp
One of several coffee bars and cafes inside Nordstrom. This is one of the larger ones in the 2nd level basement. Next to it is the sit down restaurant of the same name. They serve a good selection of coffees and baked goods and about dozen different flavors of Gelato. I also saw pre-package salads from the restaurant for sale. I had a delicious Cararmel Macchiato from them, well made and flavorful.

Yelp
Stopped by here on a afternoon weekday off - it was a cloudy rainy day outside and had just walked through Central Park looking for fall foliage. My group wanted just a place to take a breather and have some coffee. I'll preface this all by saying that I didn't order any food, which I was apprehensive about since I was taking up seating space, but it seemed ok to do on a weekday afternoon, not sure if I would have done it on a weekend. I did ask the hosts and they were super nice and accommodating, so that was definitely a plus. Turns out a number of people were seated for coffees and teas for work meetings, so the awkwardness melted away a bit. The waitress was fantastic, she was really welcoming and pleasant and served up the necessary caffeine to get us going again. Doppio was great. Mixed reviews from my group on the drip coffee, but I think that drip coffee is a more personal preference if anything. Anyway, if you're looking for a little secret spot away from the suits and ties Mon-Fri, this place could be yours and mine.

Yelp
Very awesome. Tried out the new restaurant inside Nordstrom. First the store itself is a lot. Tons of stuff to buy see and do. The food was the star of it all. There are a few restaurants inside the store we shooed this one based on the decor and proximity of where we were in the store. All the way at the lowest level was this gem. I got Brussel sprouts and salmon and my husband got pizza and spaghetti with shrimp. Our waitress shod hanna was sweet and gave us great service. I'll be shopping here for the holidays.

Dakota B.

Yelp
The Nordstrom Flagship is a new trendy place where chic is in the spotlight. Among its jewels, Jeannies! Italian classics in a light style, like this margherita pizza with a thin and crispy crust. As a starter, our artichoke and shrimp salad did not disappoint, with its lemon vinaigrette. I'll come again

Chaz M.

Yelp
Had lunch here last week, food was great, the service by Lance was even better, very welcoming and he catered to all our needs, great recommendations, Thank You and we will see you soon

Emily F.

Yelp
My kale salad was so good - every piece was seasoned and well dressed (very cheese forward which is what it's all about). And the chicken pasta was so flavorful. I love that they use unique pastas - they may not be made in house but they're a cut above packaged pasta or your run of the mill pasta place. Ambience wise, it's nice but it also is open to the sales floor (children's section) so it's definitely one of the more family friendly/relaxed dining options. That said, it's still trendy and intimate and the food delivers!

Rafi C.

Yelp
Foord was delicous, and service was excellent. Can't believe it's in a department store basement. Chicken was perfectly done with expertly fried filets- no oil flavor in coating- and very generous portuon. My minestrone was delicious. Came with corworkers who all loved their food. Will be back.

Kathy O.

Yelp
I live in the neighborhood a long time This is my new favorite place, the Italian food beats all the Italian restaurants around The pasta was outstanding and the meatball appetizer was the best Omg the food was absolutely delicious

A S.

Yelp
Good food good service. I ordered the chicken parmesan great for casual dining! Speedy service and informed staff. Seemed to be very organized. Thank you

P L.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the kale salad with salmon. The tomato soup is also great. The salmon is fresh.

Melissa J.

Yelp
I was so thrilled that this restaurant is delivering through caviar!! Enjoyed the most amazing lunch of my favorite salads and the tomato soup is my most favorite in the world. Happy days!!

Penny W.

Yelp
While my mother and I thought it was sort of funny to choose a department store for supper when she was visiting the city, we also loved that it's a throwback to the best of just that -- wonderful little eateries in nice stores where you can be assured of a good meal. Our waitress was absolutely lovely -- sweet and attentive without ever being cloying -- and we were happy with all our food (Caesar salad, prosciutto fig pizza, lemon cheesecake, and some extremely good lemonade). Also I think it might be an easy place to eat alone, especially if one needs a break from the slightly chaotic atmosphere of Nordstrom's.

Tee P.

Yelp
Service was impeccable. The food was delicious, pizza was a little burnt but it wasn't bad. I really enjoyed the shrimp puttanesca. I liked how it was in Nordstrom because you can shop and eat in the same area and it's very clean!
