The Best Atlanta Restaurants for Plane Spotting | Eater Atlanta

"Jebena Bistro is one of several restaurants on this stretch of Clairmont Road, straddling Brookhaven and Chamblee, making it an unexpected Ethiopian enclave across from PDK. Open for breakfast and dinner, diners can enjoy Ethiopian-style eggs, cooked with tomatoes and peppers, with injera bread and a side of strong coffee. Sit on the patio to take in the plane views." - Caroline Eubanks

Jebena Cafe Review - Lake City - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Set in a brightly decorated space with lime-colored walls, Jebena Cafe in Lake City is one of those solid places where you can expect the food to be great and the service even better—plus, three people can eat dinner for around $20 total. The menu includes dishes like beef tibs and stewed lentils on spongy injera, but you should order the Jebena combo. It comes on a very large plate and has a little bit of everything, including a few types of meats, a couple of vegetable sides, and homemade ayib cheese. Our favorite dish, however, is the green lamb, tender with plenty of spices, herbs, and chopped collards, which pairs really well with their curried cabbage. And if you need some Ethiopian pantry staples, like berbere and other spices, Jebena has you covered." - Team Infatuation

I recently visited Jebena Bistro I ordered special foul and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a modern design that still felt comfortable. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu without being overbearing. I tried vegetarian food which was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The side dishes were fresh and well-seasoned, and the dessert was an absolute highlight—beautifully presented and delicious. Portion sizes were generous, and the pricing felt fair for the quality. Overall, Jebena Bistro is a place I’d highly recommend for anyone looking for great food, great service . thanks Mesay

Super cute bistro with a different cultural influence. Great quality Ethiopian food. I ordered the traditional Tibs, it was delicious. The bread they baked was clearly fresh and so soft and spongy! They have a breakfast menu and a lunch/dinner menu. They serve coffee and alcohol. I love the aesthetics and vibe with incense burning and framed art around a high top bar, plus dining room and patio seating. You can tell a lot of thought and care has been put in to this business and the person who prepared my food was very kind as was the rest of their clientele.

Jebena Bistro is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere. The food is nothing short of amazing—rich, flavorful, and authentically Ethiopian. The injera is perfectly soft and tangy, complementing the bold and aromatic stews. I highly recommend the doro wat and the vegetarian platter or the spaghetti for a taste of everything. The service is exceptional, with friendly staff who are happy to explain the dishes and ensure you have a great experience. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Ethiopian cuisine or trying it for the first time, Jebena Bistro is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I had an amazing experience at this Ethiopian restaurant! The beef stew was absolutely incredible—rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The portions were generous, and the flavors were authentic and comforting. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff made me feel right at home. Definitely one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. I’ll be coming back for sure!

Yelp
I've only started eating Ethiopian food within the last year or so, so I'm no expert. This is probably my seventh time eating it, but this was definitely the best yet. I'm not sure what was different here with these veggies but they were just so good! I also got the tomato salad that was so simple, yet so delicious. The tomato salad was fresh tomatoes, jalapenos, red onion and a delicious dressing. I'll be back here for sure!
