"Set in a brightly decorated space with lime-colored walls, Jebena Cafe in Lake City is one of those solid places where you can expect the food to be great and the service even better—plus, three people can eat dinner for around $20 total. The menu includes dishes like beef tibs and stewed lentils on spongy injera, but you should order the Jebena combo. It comes on a very large plate and has a little bit of everything, including a few types of meats, a couple of vegetable sides, and homemade ayib cheese. Our favorite dish, however, is the green lamb, tender with plenty of spices, herbs, and chopped collards, which pairs really well with their curried cabbage. And if you need some Ethiopian pantry staples, like berbere and other spices, Jebena has you covered." - Team Infatuation

Jebena Bistro is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere. The food is nothing short of amazing—rich, flavorful, and authentically Ethiopian. The injera is perfectly soft and tangy, complementing the bold and aromatic stews. I highly recommend the doro wat and the vegetarian platter or the spaghetti for a taste of everything. The service is exceptional, with friendly staff who are happy to explain the dishes and ensure you have a great experience. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Ethiopian cuisine or trying it for the first time, Jebena Bistro is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Had the veggie platter and wow—this place knows what they’re doing. Everything tasted super fresh and legit, just like back home. Real teff injera, real shiro. The owner was incredibly sweet and genuine. You can feel the care in the food and the whole vibe of the place. I’ll definitely be coming back. She’s building something special here, and I hope it keeps growing.

Traditional with a flair We don’t have enough good things to say about this wonderful intimate restaurant! The service was so personal. My husband and I had a veggie plate. The greens were very fresh and the cabbage was my favorite. The chef and owner makes a wonderful waat with mushrooms better than I’ve ever had anywhere else. Fresh ingredients made this such an amazing experience as well. We finished our meal with Buna, which is traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony complete with popcorn and incense. My husband reminisced over his days in Ethiopia. Definitely recommend this to anyone for breakfast, lunch dinner or just coffee

Jebena Bistro totally blew me away! The food was top-notch so tasty and beautifully presented. The coffee was smooth and strong (just how I like it), and the drinks were creative and well-balanced. But honestly, what really made the visit special was the service. It was immaculate super friendly, fast, and just the right amount of attention without being overbearing. You can tell they really care about the customer experience. Highly recommend checking this place out. I’ll definitely be back!

I got the veggie platter. The food was so tasty! Tastes like authentic ethiopian! Real teff injera. Real shiro. The shiro here tasted amazing unlike other ethiopian restaurants here. The owner is so nice. I wish her the best success because she deserves it!

Finally got to try Jebena Bistro and it was delicious!! So glad it's opened near me and excited to go back. The veggie platter was perfectly seasoned, and the sambusa was so fresh and steaming hot. Each one of the dishes on the veggie platter was so good! Usually I have a favorite on the platter but this time I couldn't choose. The service was very friendly and homey.

What a gem and nice spot in Atlanta. I am a foodie and I’ll give you a heads up that you will be obsessed with the food they serve! If you are in the mood for excellent food at a reasonable price, with great service and a wonderful atmosphere, go to this Ethiopian Restaurant. The food was amazingly fresh and delicious. We ate beef tip and grilled tilapia served with Ethiopian bread “Injera” that’s used to sop up the other parts of flavorful meal. The meat and fish are perfect seasoned and cooked, they are so tender and full of tasty seasons. The owner lady Messi is super friendly, she’s not just good in cook and host, but also very knowledgeable about both American cultures and Ethiopian culture. We really appreciate the way she managing her restaurant. We felt comfortable and relaxed. One of the best experience trying out food and the best Ethiopian food I’ve had in Atlanta. We would definitely return again in a heartbeat, and tell our friends who appreciate good people, good food to try Jebena Bistro, too. Thank Universe!!!

Just had the fish and beef tibs. Quite underwhelming. Just salt and pepper sauted/fried fish and the beef lacked flavor, even though I asked for spicy. Some decent seating outside with a bad view and quite small inside. No idea where these good reviews are coming from.

Yelp
I've only started eating Ethiopian food within the last year or so, so I'm no expert. This is probably my seventh time eating it, but this was definitely the best yet. I'm not sure what was different here with these veggies but they were just so good! I also got the tomato salad that was so simple, yet so delicious. The tomato salad was fresh tomatoes, jalapenos, red onion and a delicious dressing. I'll be back here for sure!
