The Best Takeout Restaurants in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"The owners of neighboring cocktail destination Knee High Stocking Co. run this Filipino takeout window, which pays homage to buses in the Philippines with its graffiti backsplash. It serves up staples such as adobo, lumpia, and sisig, alongside desserts such as an ube bread pudding." - Joey Carreon

The Seattle Takeout Window Guide - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Jeepney is one of our favorite takeout windows in the city, especially when it comes to getting some late-night food. This Filipino spot is still open until 10pm most days, and all of the mains here come in the form of a sandwich, rice bowl, or loaded fries. The best thing, though, is the marinated steak tapa with Velveeta. But if you’re trying to eat more vegetables, the mushrooms with grilled paneer is also a winner." - aimee rizzo

The 16 Best Filipino Restaurants In Seattle

"A late-night Filipino walk-up window on Cap Hill is exactly what the neighborhood needed. The team behind speakeasy Knee High Stocking Co. made use of a little extra space to serve classics like adobo and sisig—but the sandwiches here at Jeepney should not be ignored. The steak tapa is part Filipino breakfast-for-dinner and part homage to bánh mì, with its crackling yet pillowy bun and tangy Velveeta-loaded beef. If you just need something fried after a few cocktails, lumpia is on the menu, too. And, this is the only spot in town that offers leche flan regularly. Jeepney - Review - Capitol Hill - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Jeepney is a Filipino street food takeout window on the side of a building. Order some delicious sandwiches and choose from excellent fillings (our favorites are the marinated steak/onion/peppers/Velveeta, spicy pork/pickled vegetables, and creamy mushrooms/paneer cheese). Always add an order of lumpia, and take a moment later to appreciate other windows in your life." - Aimee Rizzo

What happened? New owners? Not worth it at all. On 10/7/22 I was served boiled chicken over rice porridge instead of adobo. No flavor at all. Must be a new owner because this is nothing like what it was. Look at the photos, the rice was like over cooked oatmeal. If a restaurant can't make rice what is the rest of the menu like. I wouldn't eat here anymore.

This place is owned by knee high stocking co! I believe the owner is Filipina! I got the steak slider and the lumpia. For $12, there were two sliders. I wouldn’t consider them small per se, but they’re still sliders so don’t expect burger size. They were amazing! Incredibly soft, plenty of cheese, buttery bun. For $6, the lumpia (essentially pork filled mini spring rolls) came with 6 + a sweet sauce for dipping. It tasted good as well. Everything came in brown paper bags. Anyhow while good if not great on the slider side, I think I’d rather go to condesa for their tortas due to more quantity/value for price. Jeepney is definitely worth a try tho!

I used to go here a lot for take out but tonight's order was not very good. Both the chicken adobo and lumpia tasted very bland. Rice in the adobo was overcooked and very mushy. Lumpia was not wrapped well and was coming apart. I really dislike you have to tip when you order as I would not have tipped for this order at all

I visited late on a Friday night, had the lumpia and a rice bowl. The taste was pretty good, not outstanding but the meat was tender. For late night street food the prices are a bit high. A larger portion in the rice bowl would make the $11 easier to stomach. I’d like to visit again to try a sandwich.

Was craving Filipino food so was super excited to try Jeepney Cap Hill, the prices were pretty high and unfortunately the lumpia was incredibly salty and barely any filling and the Adobo was also super dry and salty as well! However, the dessert - ube shortbread and turon was not bad!

This is a great restaurant, the people and the food are great for the most part. A lot of people have an issue with the weird times this place is open and with the price of the food. I understand that the pandemic hit hard, and it's hard to run a restaurant. However, there are definitely things to critique. The food is good, but expensive for small portions. They are also having a menu change at the end of August (that's what I was told last time I came here). They changed the vegan lumpia to only have vegetables in it (tasted like a spring roll), and are getting rid of the adobo burger (no longer on menu) :(. The current menu does not have any lumpia besides the new vegetable one, no dessert, and no potatoes. I thought the lumpia was a favorite? I used to visit every now and then because we love the lumpia, but I don't know how often I'll visit after the change. Maybe it will be good though, I can update later. This place was great, sad to see a decline because of the pandemic or other issues :( If you have the money, it's a good place to support!

Really loved this place. The Adobo bowl was delicious with tender pork and great garlic fried rice. My partner loved the paneer/mushroom grillled cheese which she said "Made her love mushrooms". We ordered over the phone and it was ready within 20 minutes. Overall fantastic and we will be returning.

Simply amazing lumpia! The order of 6 perfectly fried pork beauties was so tasty and a bargain at $8. I am going back for more!!! Text ahead and they can prepare the food and have your takeout ready. Five stars for sure😄
