Jeh O

"Jeh O might be known for her Mama Noodles Tom Yum, but her menu contains numerous other top-notch dishes. Many, including her delicious fried tofu with crispy garlic, boiled rice with duck, and signature crispy pork, are popular Thai favourites. Though the staff only speaks Thai, there’s an English picture menu for non-Thai speakers. Outside the shop, an eager crowd waits up to two hours for tables; to get in faster, arrive just before opening or near closing." - Michelin Inspector

Jeh O Chula is crazy busy but totally worth the wait. The Mama Tom Yum noodles are rich, spicy, and loaded with toppings—I couldn’t stop eating. The crispy pork belly and salmon sashimi were also fantastic. It’s chaotic, crowded, and fun—exactly the kind of Bangkok food experience I was hoping for.

Went on a Friday night and had to wait about 2 hours using the mobile app, serving was quite fast once seated. The Tom Yum Mama was a bit on the bland side at first, but after requesting extra lime juice, it elevated the experience tasted much better and refreshing —highly recommend adding more lime for a stronger flavor. The crispy pork was quite oily with too much fat for our liking. The seafood in the Tom Yum Mama was average, so would recommend going for the meatball version instead and pairing it with some side dishes.

If you’re planning to visit, be sure to make a reservation directly with the restaurant and take some time to explore the surroundings while you wait for your turn. It’s a very busy spot, so a bit of planning helps. The food is worth trying at least once, but in my opinion, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. It felt a bit overrated and lacked the wow factor I was expecting. The atmosphere also left something to be desired. Guests wait outside before being seated, and once inside, the space is extremely cold, which gets the food to cool down quickly. The menu itself could use some refinement as well - it didn’t feel particularly unique or thoughtfully curated. Overall, while I wouldn’t return, it’s worth experiencing at least once for the sake of curiosity. Just temper your expectations.

There’s always a very long queue, so it’s strongly recommended to join the waitlist through the mobile app in advance. If you show up without booking via the app, you’ll almost certainly have to wait behind hundreds of people — which can take at least 2 hours. We joined the queue on the app about 3 hours before arriving, and it worked out well, we only wait outside for 30 minutes. Another notice is cash only, so better to prepare if you have strong card payment preference. The pork sausage was surprisingly tasty, and the salmon with green Thai sauce is definitely worth a try. The signature tom yum was good, but honestly, it didn’t quite live up to the hype.

Been coming here since I was studying in college. The food is still good although I felt like some of the dishes tasted better before but the noodles are still the best. Hard to find anywhere to compare! Also the pork balls are so good highly recommended!!

After years of visiting Bangkok, I finally "broke the egg" (or as we say in Indonesia, "pecah telor") and tried the famous Jeh O Chula. You can tell it's a popular spot from the moment you arrive—the kitchen is a non-stop, very busy hive of activity! We downloaded the queue app to make a reservation, which I highly recommend, and still ended up waiting for about an hour. The wait is no joke! We ordered their most famous dish: the Mama instant noodles in a tom yum soup with fresh seafood. Honestly? It was good, but a bit overrated for the hype and wait. It's essentially a very well-done version of tom yum noodles. The real star of the show for me was the salt and chili stir-fried Japanese tofu. It was soft and absolutely delicious! For the famous noodles, the tofu, stir fried beansprouts and fried pork belly, and drinks, our total came to around 1200 THB. Verdict: Come for the experience and definitely order the tofu! But manage your expectations for the legendary noodles.

Tried the famous Tom Yum Mama noodles with crispy pork ribs in Bangkok — and it was absolutely worth it! The broth was bold, spicy, and tangy, and the crispy pork ribs were tender and full of flavor. Be prepared: you need the QueQ app to book a spot, and reservations only open when you're near the restaurant, which starts service at 3:50 PM. It gets crowded fast, but the staff are friendly and efficient. If you're in Bangkok and love strong Thai flavors, this spot is a must-try!

Finally got to try the famous Tom Yum Mama noodles with crispy pork ribs, it was totally worth it! The broth was packed with flavor, spicy and tangy in the best way, and the crispy pork ribs were tender and delicious. The price was super reasonable too, around 165 baht. Heads up though - you need to download the QueQ app to book your spot. The restaurant opens at 3:50 PM, but you can only book the queue when you're near the location, so make sure to head there first before trying to reserve. The place gets busy fast, but the staff were super friendly and organized. If you're in Bangkok and up for some bold Thai flavors, definitely give this spot a try!
