"Jeh O might be known for her Mama Noodles Tom Yum, but her menu contains numerous other top-notch dishes. Many, including her delicious fried tofu with crispy garlic, boiled rice with duck, and signature crispy pork, are popular Thai favourites. Though the staff only speaks Thai, there’s an English picture menu for non-Thai speakers. Outside the shop, an eager crowd waits up to two hours for tables; to get in faster, arrive just before opening or near closing." - Michelin Inspector

Nashville hot chicken, Texas barbecue, and tom yum soup head to Resorts World | Eater Vegas

"A Bangkok eatery awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand and famed for its 'mama' noodles tom yum; the spot is popular enough that diners can expect long waits—sometimes up to two hours—for their number to be called." - Susan Stapleton

The place is super hype and people will queue for hours! There are two options for queuing: Use the QueQ app (recommended for faster process) Or come directly to the restaurant. We used the app and only waited about 10 minutes in front of the restaurant. What we ordered: 1. Roasted Pork 🐖 – 4/5 Good, but tastes similar to what you find at the night market. 2. Mama Noodle 🍜 (Roasted Pork & Seafood) – 4/5 This is the specialty here. Toppings are generous (prawn, squid). Noodles are too thin for my taste. If you can eat spicy, go for it! Otherwise, the sourness dominates. 3. Salmon Salad 🐟🥗– 4/5 Good, but again similar to night market quality. 💡 Tip: For roasted pork and salmon, the night market is better value – same quality, cheaper price, and bigger portion.

You will download the App to get a number and wait for the table. It took me about 90 mins to get the table. I started joining the App while leaving the hotel. Still waited 40 mins at the restaurant. The mama noddle mixed was delicious as their signature. The crispy pork was also super good. Especially dipping in mama noddle’s soup. The squid with yellow curry was so so, not recommended. Did not order the raw salmon which is also their signature.

Last night, I made a special trip to the Chulalongkorn University Night Market and finally got to try the legendary Jeb O Chula Banthatthong! Even though we waited in line for almost an hour, the first bite made it all worth it. We ordered the signature "Mama Noodles." The steaming copper pot was packed with ingredients—large, fresh prawns, tender minced pork, a runny egg, and refreshing straw mushrooms. The most amazing part was the soup: the Tom Yum base was perfectly sour and spicy, with the richness of coconut milk balancing the heat just right. Every spoonful was incredibly addictive. I especially have to praise the spiciness level—it had a strong kick but didn't upset the stomach, making you crave more with each bite. Even though the place was packed, the service was surprisingly fast. Highly recommended for anyone who loves spicy food. This is absolutely a must-try, god-tier supper spot in Bangkok!

Spicy Salmon Salad - very fresh and flavorful. So spicy though. Would recommend. Signature Mama Noodle - We’ve got the one with mixed toppings. Crispy pork, crabs, pork balls, shrimp, squid etc. topping were all fresh but the noodle and the soup is just your typical instant spicy mama noodles. I really don’t understand the hype at all. Dumplings - good and juicy. Don’t know what they were made of. The waiting - we went on a Wednesday. we did the queue through QueQ app. We had to wait about 2 hours. Took the queue around 7 and we got seated around 8:30 pm. We just went and ate around the Banthatong street while we wait, so it wasn’t so bad. The queue was still long until the time we left the area at 10:30. The total bill - 1400 THB. The menu - there were so many items on the menu but Mama Noodle, salmon salad and crispy pork seem to be the most popular. The menu’s all in Thai. No English menu available. If anyone sees this review in time, the shop is gonna close from 27 Nov to 2 Dec 2025.

Seriously, I don't get it. Mama noodles are okay, but definitely not worth waiting an hour and 40 minutes for. They make you download the QueQ app to get a number, and then you wait to be called. And if you're not there when they call your number, you gotta start all over. One dish worth mentioning is the spicy salmon salad. It's good~

This popular Michelin awarded spot is charming and the service is friendly. However, the food doesn't quite live up to the hype. The flavors often taste muted and one-note, lacking the fresh, vibrant punch of authentic Thai cuisine. Some dishes ingredients don't always taste garden-fresh. It's a decent meal, but for the reputation, you'd expect more exciting taste and better quality. It's good for a casual fix, but not the culinary destination it's made out to be.

This place is super famous for their mama noodles. Since the mama tom yum noodles have been my favourite instant noodles since forever I HAD to try it. The waiting line is long, so be prepared for that. You can download the Q app to wait, that way you can hang out around the restaurant and go there when it’s almost your turn. I waited 2 hours to get in. I started queuing around 20u, so be prepared to wait until 22u even then. The food was amazing. I had the mama noodles just with pork balls, since I thought the bigger option with seafood and pork would be too much for me alone. I think I was right about that, because the portion was just perfect. The rich soup was delicious. You could definitely taste it was once a regular mama noodle, but they took them to a whole new level.

The food at Jeh O Chula is absolutely worth the wait—and wait you will. Even if you arrive early, there’s already a line, and it usually takes over an hour to get a table. The service is fast and tables turn quickly, but the queue still moves slowly. Now, the menu is huge, but let’s be honest—you’re here for one thing: the Tom Yum Noodles. Go straight to that section. There are six versions: two with pork, two with seafood, and two with crab. While you wait, order a few starters; there are plenty of great options to warm up your appetite. Be careful with the spice level—it can get seriously hot. If you’re not big on spicy food, choose the mild option. Will I come back to Jeh O Chula? Absolutely. It may feel touristy, and many locals skip the line because they don’t have the patience, but everyone agrees the food is outstanding. Oh one last thing, they only accept cash so do carry enough money with you. Till next time.
