Ice cream is my comfort food, the one item in my fridge I always grab for. Whether I'm happy, or stressed, or trying to survive a pandemic... it's always there. Better yet, this location of Jeni's Ice Cream has always BEEN THERE! Between the pint of peanut butter and chocolate flecks that was delivered to help me get through a crazy presidential debate, to the wildberry lavender scoops I randomly grab while on long walks down High St., I know I can count on Jeni's when I need it the most. Especially in this somewhat alternate universe, that is 2020!
While I'm always eager to spread the word on Jeni's, I'm here updating this review to share with you all the updates they've made to help keep you safe and healthy. For starters, the experience is one hundred percent contactless. You actually never step foot in the scoop shop. They have a plastic barrier set up at the door and this is where you will order and pay for your treat. As always, the personality of the staff is hard to miss. Their positivity, lively spirit, and love for ice cream is still clearly evident. They are happy to serve ice cream and spread smiles.
You pick your ice cream order up around the corner at the entrance on Lincoln St. It's actually the cutest thing ever. They made a little window-like structure to keep things safe. From that point, enjoy! While samples are a no-go and the shop is off limits for now, the experience is still splendid. The ice cream is also as good as ever and you can't go wrong with any flavor. For me, if I could give Jeni's a sixth star, I would. Anytime a company's values align with my own AND they have insanely high quality products that taste this good, I'll gladly give them my money.
