Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams in the Short North is a must-stop for anyone craving unique and delicious ice cream. What really stood out during my visit was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making the sampling process a joy. They offered generous samples, answered questions with enthusiasm, and provided thoughtful recommendations. Their patience and genuine warmth created a welcoming atmosphere, making it easy to navigate all the flavors. While Jeni's is known for its ice cream, the positive and attentive service from the staff truly elevated the experience.

The homemade waffle cones are fantastic. Unique, delicious ice-cream flavors! I got the gooey butter cake—it was full of delicious chunks of cake.

Unique flavors that somehow just work! We had had pints of Jeni’s from the grocery store but were thrilled for the opportunity to try ice cream from the scoop shop itself and we were not disappointed! We shared the ice cream flight which comes with 10 scoops of 10 different flavors and waffle cone pieces on the side. Each flavor was unique and offered something different. My favorite was the “everything bagel” which was a savory ice cream and very different from anything I’d had before. My wife’s favorite was the honey vanilla bean. All the ice creams were soft, creamy and not overly sweet. Some of the best ice cream we’ve had! Hope to see them open a shop in Kansas City someday!

I love the unique flavors Jeni’s has and wanted to try the Sage cheesecake before flavors changed. It was ok, but I have had other flavors I like better. But they are always fun to try! The other flavor I had was white chocolate peppermint.

Enjoyed a decadent scoop of dairy-free Texas Sheet Cake chocolate ice cream. 5/5 recommend. So rich, so chocolatey. Coconut milk base. Quality was on par with the dairy options. Finding this shop open after seeing a concert nearby was an extra special treat! They had a steady stream of customers on a warm Saturday night. Open until midnight! On the pricey side. The scoops are small, but it’s very rich ice cream, so it still hit the spot.

Jeni’s has the BEST ice cream in the world ★★★★★ I’ve visited about 4x so far. The flavor options are incredible. The brown butter almond brittle bite is my go-to ice cream choice. I wish they would bring back the buttered popcorn 🍿 flavor. You really can’t go wrong with anything they have available. Perfect spot in Short North, swing by if you’re in the neighborhood.

I went to Jeni’s nearly every night of my stay in Columbus. Great ice cream, of course, and a lovely reason to gather together! I was able to snag the limited edition Pop-Tart flavor, as well as a set of their ice cream spades which I’ve coveted since my last visit in 2019.

This location is lovely. Staff if lovely. Always has been. But I miss the quality of the ice cream itself. Twenty years ago they first opened a location up at the North Market and it was unlike any of the ice creams you can get today. Now THAT was good ice cream. Best ice cream of my life. These days the ice creams are very dessert-y and airy. They've just gone corporate. Each time I go in with friends and family to this location (they always wish to visit because the ice cream is iconic to Columbus), we go, and I don't say much about it. But the truth is they're never going to know how good this ice cream used to be.
