Amazing ice creams!!! I was walking by after dinner and saw some people who were eating ice creams and feel like it is what I need right now, I looked for ice cream shops nearby and found Jeni’s. It was a really good ice cream shop. They have a wide variety of flavors, and I got one scoop of Strawberry Pretzel Pie and one scoop of Texas Sheet Cake. Both were absolutely delicious but I like strawberry more - the second one was a little bit sugary for me. The flavor in both was rich and creamy, and it felt very fresh, so it tasted really good. I really enjoyed it. I ordered ice cream in a waffle cone, and the portion was pretty generous, bigger than I expected. The waffle was pretty good, not dry but crispy. The prices are reasonable for that amount of ice cream. The place itself is nice inside, looks like regular ice cream spot. There are no tables inside but you can find some on the street. The staff was friendly and helpful, she told me about different flavors and let me sample. Overall, I would definitely recommend checking this place out. The ice cream is amazing, I really enjoyed it, and I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying more flavors.

This delightful shop is a hidden gem nestled inside the Runway little Mall. The flavors are delicious and offer a wide variety that caters to every palate. Texas sheet cake is my favourite! The staff is incredibly friendly, and they encourage you to try samples before making your decision, ensuring that you find your perfect. Parking can be a bit challenging. However, there are several nearby structures that offer validation options, making it manageable for visitors

Truly splendid ice cream. You are welcome to sample flavors before committing to a cup or waffle cone. I like the silver sample spoons, they make for a fancy sampling experience. I absolutely love how their ice cream melts. They have seasonal flavors and fun themes like space that they play up in flavors. This spot is located inside a shopping center. You can find a lot of seating areas outside or places to walk around while you enjoy ice cream. If you really like a flavor you can purchase a pint or two to take home for later 😊 I got their coffee and the birthday cake that came with a lot of rainbow sprinkles ✨

Went in around 8:30 and was given excellent service. I wish I had gotten the kind young lady's name, but I forgot to ask. She offered me samples and explained the business and what they do. The ice cream itself is very good as well, but I really have to say it's service like I was given that really takes it over the top to want to go out of my way to buy expensive ice cream.

You have to try Jeni's ice cream! Their ice cream is delicious and comes in a variety of interesting flavors. They've recently added parfaits to the menu, and those are amazing. Service is excellent,the workers are sweet and attentive and always have recommendations for you. Super convenient location, if you're in the area make sure to stop by!

It was my first time to try Jeni's Ice Creams and the first time I tried it, I found all the flavors very sweet for me, but LP was very pleasant and let me try new flavors every time, so I finally found my favorite flavor! I have been able to do that! I now go to Jeni's Ice Creams every day! Thanks to LP haha

So, you can imagine my excitement when Jeni's opened up in my neighborhood. Now, I find myself stopping in more often than I probably should to indulge in my favorite frozen treat. One flavor I keep coming back to is the Brambleberry Crisp--an absolute masterpiece. It features toasted oat streusel and a sweet-tart brambleberry jam swirled through creamy vanilla ice cream. It's the kind of flavor that feels like a hug for your taste buds, perfect even on the coldest days. I also love that Jeni's offers a variety of birthday cake-inspired flavors and occasionally mixes in some sweet-and-savory combinations that keep things exciting. What truly sets Jeni's apart, though, is their unique and creative flavors--there's always something new to try, and it's always amazing. I love this complex, and I love all the cute little shops. Jeni's is no exception, with all these magical ice creams. Brown butter almond brittle has a nutty finish, and iced molasses gingerbread conjures warm fires and candy houses. I'm a sucker for anything cake-flavored, and the buttercream birthday cake is very buttercream-y. They're called splendid ice creams because they are. The flavors have a whimsy to them, and every bite holds a little bit of (very sugary) magic.

Pretty fast service. You have the option to taste the flavors before purchasing it. Every time I have gone here, I left satisfied.

Obsessed with Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams and had to get some after lunch. I always make it a point to stop by when I'm in the area. This location is mostly grab and go. Service is always friendly and quick. The area smells so good from all the fresh waffles! Ordered the Study (4 mini scoops) of brambleberry crisp, super moon, gooey butter cake, and birthday cake. Everything tasted super rich and creamy. Can't wait to come back and try some of the newer flavors! This is the one ice cream shop where I can confidently say that all flavors sound good on paper but they also actually taste good!

Best place to beat that Summer heat in Playa Vista. Fantastic selections of ice cream (not the mention the seasonal flavors)! This particular Jeni's is indoor with no seating. The staff are friendly and helpful when it comes to helping you pick out the flavors!

Things happen, but this business stands by its product! Ben reached out, got details to send to staff and corporate and sent voucher for a new pint. Original post RESOLVED: We've come here since it opened, mainly for cones and have always been pleased with the ice cream. Two days ago, the service was just as friendly and the venue was as clean and organized as ever, but my ice cream was a sad experience. There weren't samples, but their other dairy free flavors had been good. The Cold Brew with Coconut Cream was a pint of ice that was crunchy, stale tasting and seemed to have been melted and refrozen more than once.

I'm a big fan of Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams. I feel at this point that I've pretty much been every one of their locations in LA (also sad to see that the Venice - Rose location closed). The ice at these places are always high quality and consistent. The service seems to always be friendly and this location is no exception. This location is located within an indoor section of the Runway Playa Vista center and on a Sunday night, the place was pretty chill. It was also kinda cold and rainy outside, so maybe it wasn't the best conditions for ice cream? I personally like this location, because it's in the same spot as the movie theater I go to quite often. I got the 'Signature' - or three scoops - Brambleberry Crisp, Gooey Butter Cake, and Hot Toddy. I've had the gooey butter cake and brambleberry previously and they're always a great go to. I wanted to try the hot toddy, so that's why I had it as my third scoop. Okay...so here's a little secret...and I'm not sure how secret it is, but my friend told me that on your birthday, they treat you to the Signature or three scoops of ice cream! So fun! I feel like I've been to several of their locations many times before, so I was okay with treating myself to this generous gift.

It's located in a retail hall with shops, dining, and pop-ups. The only downside is that there isn't a designated seating area in the shop. I usually sit outside where there are tables and chairs.

The delicious smell of waffles will lead you to this hidden gem. PJ and Virginia were holding it down during my visit! They were so kind and so knowledgeable! There wasn't a line when I arrived but large groups would come in waves craving ice cream. Their flavors are clean and distinct, not like other ice cream brands that taste muddled. I sampled a handful of flavors which made deciding a challenge. All their chocolate flavors were delicious! I decided on their darkest chocolate flavor. It was so luscious and not overly sweet. It is difficult for me to find a good chocolate ice cream. I also loved their Brambleberry Crisp and Gooey Butter Cake! Even though this location is smaller, it was clean and so welcoming! There was plenty of seating areas and I was protected from the freezing cold area. I'll be coming back!

Great little Ice cream stop right in central Venice with a wide selection of specialty flavors. I got the standard scoop with Buttermilk Birthday cake and Brambleberry crisp flavors. Both were crunchy, cakey and a swirl of sweetness. Solid place for your ice cream fix and bonus for an ice cream shop to offer samples!

The lemon bar (non dairy) is probably the best vegan ice cream I've ever had in my natural life it's a good thing it doesn't come in sizes larger than a pint... This is more of a pick up and go type of ice cream shop set up. The service is amazing, and you get to sample the ice cream before buying. The location is inside of a small indoor mall type of place and isn't readily visible from the outside. It's amongst other small shops and restaurants. Get the lemon bar!

Remember ... dessert is never optional If this resonates with you, then you're my kinda people Need to mention this first - cell reception in this "hall" or indoor stall is pretty non-existent. That's why my check-in count isn't accurate. I take my cold treat out to enjoy at one of the outdoor tables (no indoor seating) and I forget to check in. I sometimes even forget to feed my camera first too. Ice cream is best enjoyed right away. Parking. There are limited time spaces right in front. There's also street parking. Or park in the structure. No validation for the structure though. Maybe in the future. At least I hope so. The stall is hidden indoors. If you find Loqui, you're in the right place. Just keep going down to the other end of the indoor market. And find your poison and enjoy.

Great interesting selection of ice cream flavors at a fun little spot inside The Runway. The servers were really sweet, let me sample most of the flavors since I couldn't make up my mind. Stood there for a long time trying to limit myself to two flavors for a split cup. I got the honey vanilla and bramble berry crisp as I thought they would complement each other well. Boy was it delicious! They also have a birthday promotion, you get the Signature (aka three scoops) for free, if you show up on your birthday and present your ID.

There is a battle for what is the best ice cream spot in the greater Los Angeles area, and if I had to choose my favorite it would definitely be Jeni's ice cream. Why? The obvious reason is that the flavors that they offer are superior and can't be beat. I also really like that even if you get one scoop of ice cream, you can turn it into two half scoops to maximize how many flavors you get. When I visit an ice cream shop, I rarely know exactly what flavor I want to, and I usually want to try a few different options. This is the best place to do that. You can also smell it from a mile away because they make their cones fresh daily. I usually go with a cup to avoid the mess, but the infrequent times I go for a cone, this is the best tasting cone I've had. If you haven't had Jeni's, or have only seen it in stores, I would highly recommend visiting in person.

Such a great spot for a quick dessert after shopping and eating at the runway playa vista! This spot is tucked away in a corner but always delivers on delicious and refreshing flavors! The service is fast and friendly and the ambiance is great with small stores and bars right next to it. Great place to check out after grabbing a few bites and drinks. My favorite flavor is their brown butter almond brittle but their vanilla is also one of the cleanest vanilla ice creams I've had.

I can't believe I've only been here once and it took me this long to try!! Probably one of my favorite ice cream spots ever. This location is inside a new center in an elevated area - super clean and convenient. You can smell their waffle cones from a street away! I was debating on getting the flight since I wanted to try a ton of flavors but I ended up just sampling the ones I was interested in first and ended up settling with their signature 3 scoops. I ordered the gooey butter cake, honey vanilla bean, and darkest chocolate. They placed the scoops in my waffle cone in a very thoughtful manner - least sweet at the top and the sweetest at the very bottom of the cone. My palette appreciated that haha. My favorite of all the flavors ended up being the darkest chocolate which is actually the one I didn't sample. It was sweet but not overbearing and the chocolate flavor was 10/10. I don't love dark chocolates but this flavor wasn't that dark or bitter but also wasn't too milky and sugary. It was the perfect balance of chocolate flavor! I'm still thinking about it...so delicious. Definitely coming back!

The ice cream was top notch. I'm a big believer that if you are going to splurge on calories, make sure they are good calories! Here it is worth it. The waffle cone wasn't extra $ and that was a bonus. Fast, friendly service. No seating area so find a nice spot to relax outside on the Culver Steps.

This place is delicious. Customer service is great. The cashier was so patient and let me try a few flavors. He knew it was my first time. Super clean and chill place to grab some ice cream for a date night. They have fire pits outside.

What a nice treat after a meal. The ice cream smells delicious. You can taste the higher quality ingredients. They have the option to choose three flavors of your choice, 3 total scoops for $7.70. The lavender was very yummy. The line moves kind of slow, so it may take a while. If you want to go wild, or to share, you can get a flight of 10 scoops/flavors for $21. Located inside the food area, tucked in the back corner. If you walk in and see Loqui, turn left and walk to the end, it'll be on the right side.

Awesome to have Jeni's Spendid Ice Cream at Runway Playa Vista. Parking is pretty easy either on street or in the large adjacent parking structure at Runway. I've been several times and the service is always impeccable. Really appreciate their friendly attitudes and good energy. The ice cream is amazing in its quality and fun in its creativity. Definitely should also grab a pint to go home!!!

Such a good place! With really nice workers but, unfortunately they took off my family and I favorite ice cream flavor coffee so, we don't go as much ): when we do it's pretty much only for the little container of the ice cream coffee. Would love to come back when it has coffee again

I love Jeni's Ice Cream!!! I think it is my favorite ice cream store. I love that the workers are always so friendly and let me sample everything I want without feeling bad. I always have to go with my favorite flavor--brambleberry crisp and the other flavor depends on what I'm feeling. Everything is always so creamy and flavorful. This Jeni's is in the very nice neighborhood and there is plenty of parking nearby.

Drool This place is so creamy and good. The bramble berry crisp is a must have. The lemon bar is the right mix of sweet and tart. The wedding cake tastes like we just got married again. yummm Sooooo good. And the flight is really worth it. They give you large scoops perfect for sharing... or just take the lid and save the rest for yourself. :) The other location on larchmont has a few less flavors and they don't give you quite as large scoops. Disappointing after this place gave me such high expectations for ice cream shops!

Wanted to try something different and close to home but I don't think it's worth $15 ($12 + $3 parking) for a pint of their dairy free sorbet. It was good but not the best. If I was around Runway more I'd get a cone now and then. For fancy overpriced ice cream I prefer the one at The Point (Llewelyn's I think) at least for non-dairy options. It's also very hot inside the Free Market where this is located.

I am from Ohio, and lived a block away from the Original Jeni's. I've since moved to Scottsdale (where surprisingly there is NO Jeni's in the Phoenix area). So I make it a point to get to Jeni's whenever I am in a city that has a scoop shop. Living in Columbus, Ohio, I've had the opportunity to hear Jeni speak at various events. What I can tell you is that she is wicked smart (almost too smart for the average person to comprehend what she's saying at times). And she is extremely passionate about her craft (just read the napkins at the scoop shops that reference how they leveraged complex processes to ensure the ice cream melts in just the right way). I am a MASSIVE ice cream fanatic and (Ohio bias aside), I must say that Jeni's is one of the best in the nation. If you stop by a scoop shop, you'll quickly find out why. My boyfriend and I do make fun of the flavor titles because most of them do sound pretentious. In fact, my boyfriend calls Jeni's "pretentious ice cream." And it really is, but it's so good that you just deal with the ridiculous flavor names and higher-than-average prices. Having lived right in the heart of "Jeni's Country," I am a self-proclaimed Jeni's aficionado. Some of my favorite flavors are Milkiest Chocolate (a classic for the chocolate lovers), Salted Peanut Butter with Chocolate Flecks (for peanut butter and chocolate fans), Gooey Butter Cake, and Salted Caramel (the original that made Jeni famous). I'm glad I got to make it to this market-based various of Jeni's on my most recent trip to LA. Next time I'm in LA, I'll try to get to the Venice location as well.

I think jeni's is highkey better than salt and straw... I SAID WHAT I SAID!! the ice cream is always so rich and smooth and creamy, i don't think i've ever had a bad experience in terms of taste and presentation. i've tried a handful of flavors but my go to flavors are salty caramel and honey bean vanilla. it's a little pricey but i don't give a damn because i believe it's worth it. they have a flavor for everyone and even the crazy flavor combos are unique enough to want to try! the employees are very friendly as well when i try to branch out and try something new just to get the same flavors i always do. the service is quick and easy which i can appreciate!! it is located in a small mall type area so it can be tricky to find. the area it's located in is very quiet as well which gives a nice calm vibe while getting a nice treat! this place is definitely 12/10!

I've always wanted to try Jeni's and was finally able to tonight! I got the standard with double dough and birthday cake and it was delicious! i love how every scoop gets a mini waffle piece. This will be my new go to ice cream shop!

The most expensive and most delicious ice cream I have ever had in my life! It was about $12 for 3 half scoops so I was able to get the Brambleberry Crisp, Gooey Butter Cake, and the Brown Butter Almond Brittle. I talked about this ice cream for days after and recommended it to all my friends. This place is a real treat. The staff were very accommodating of me trying all the flavors under the sun.

What a pleasant surprise! We were just walking around the area and stumbled upon Jeni's inside the free market area where there are a couple other shops and stalls. The location is a bit tricky to find but I'm glad we discovered their newest location. I got the standard which gets you two half scoops as opposed to only getting one scoop of a single flavor. I got the classic brown butter almond brittle and the skillet cinnamon roll. You can never go wrong with almond brittle and I'm a huge fan of cinnamon rolls. I appreciated how there are actual almonds in the ice cream which adds great texture to it. Both flavors were exceptional and next time, I might just get a pint to enjoy at home instead of spending ~$6 for two half scoops. There's no doubt Jeni's is a little pricey but that goes along with the quality. I wish this location was located in a more convenient spot as opposed to being tucked away in the free market area.

We go to Jenni's on a weekly basis. We have had a wonderful experience with everyone on staff. I am writing this review mostly because Virginia was an ABSOLUTE STANDOUT. She has single handily made the experience at Jeni's phenomenal. She carefully helped us select the ice cream that we would really enjoy and genuinely cared that we left with something we would like.

Service is great. No complaints there. Flavors are just...ok. Two very small scoops cost nearly $10 for a sugar cone. Not worth the price if you ask me. I abhor the tip screen. Scooping is literally the job and isn't worth a tip

Such a cute little store inside the Free Market at Runway Playa Vista! They were having a free event for Jeni's rewards members. I got the strawberry buttermilk, lavender, and peanut butter with chocolate flecks in a waffle bowl - very indulgent and very delicious. The employees were so incredibly kind and friendly! I was in an out of there in about 10-15 minutes, which is especially impressive during a free ice cream event. Parking in the structure isn't the easiest bc it was quite busy even on a Tuesday night. Jeni's doesn't validate but you can get validation with purchase at CVS or Whole Foods.

I'm always greeted with amazing customer service and the shop is always clean and inviting. My favorite two flavors is the gooey butter cake and the milkiest chocolate. Today, they actually had a limited flavor. The powdered jelly donut. If you have time, I highly recommend you try this flavor! It's my new favorite!'

Oh man, so good! So many different combinations that you wouldn't think taste good but are so great! As for the simpler flavors- the best chocolate I've ever had!

I am totally addicted to Jeni's ice cream, and they know it. It's their fault I'm addicted. They need to stop making amazing ice cream. The first time I tried it was in Tampa. Well my son is addicted too and he took it to a whole new level. We went back home to Connecticut, and he started ordering the ice cream and having it shipped to our house from Florida. They can ship it any where and it arrives at your home frozen. Luckily they sell it in Atlanta where he goes to college. Having it Ubered to his dorm is a lot cheaper than shipping. I moved to Cali where they have a few stores, and I go every week and stock up because, well you know...I'm addicted. My two favorite flavors are Bramberry Crisp and Brown Butter Almond Brittle. AMAZING! The store in Playa Vista has very nice and helpful employees. The ambiance is this delicious smell of waffle cones and bowls being made. It's all a part of what will draw you in and make you addicted. This is the one time it's ok to be addicted. In fact I think there should be a diet of just Jeni's Ice Cream. Spoken like a true addict. I know! I wish I could be sorry about it but as you can see I'm not. Now put your phone down, well wait pick your phone back up and Google the closest Jeni's store to you, and get your behind over there.

It was my 1st time trying Jeni's & I have to say the gooey butter cake was a 10/10!! The real cake pieces it in were my favorite part! The staff was very friendly!!!! It was super clean and in a nice location (though it did take a second to find since its in the indoor market). The only thing is its a little expensive but offers good portions. I also sampled the lemon bar and the salted caramel but I think Salt & Straw takes the cake for the best salted caramel. I would definitely return!

Love the ice cream from here! I wish they had some more dairy free options for those that are lactose intolerant, however the regular ice cream flavors are AMAZING. Service is always super quick, there's rarely a line and who doesn't love hanging out around the Runway/Playa area??

This is a nice and unassuming Jeni's Splended Ice Creams shop inside the Market at Runway. It was my first time trying Jeni's from a shop, as I'd only ever tried their pints from grocery stores and such. This particular shop was not too busy for post-lunch hours. The servers here were very nice and patient as we asked for samples. We ended up ordering the Brambleberry Crisp and the Sweet Cream Biscuits and Peach Jam flavors. Their ice cream comes with a nice waffle cone bit, which is crisp and sweet as well. The Brambleberry Crisp is delicious - not too sweet, a little tart, and has a great texture to it. The Sweet Cream Biscuits is also delicious - also not too sweet and has a great textural component due to the biscuit pieces. As expected, Jeni's was great. I'd happily come back to try more flavors.

Impressively, surprised by the rich creamy flavor of the decadent chocolate and the coffee ice cream. This place had a long line. I was intrigued to find out what was happening that's so many people decided to do this on a Friday night. Once I had my first taste I was hooked delicious would highly recommend! I've had ice cream all over the world very few of them are as good as this :-)

AMAZING ice cream! It's a bit hidden as you'll need to walk in through the "Market at Runway" doors, but the smell of ice cream outside should help lead the way right to this lovely shop. The ice cream is very rich and creamy. My fav is the Gooey Butter Cake in a waffle cup!
