I requested extra gravy on the rice with my brown stew chicken and as you can see in the picture they did not disappoint! I truly appreciate the restaurant accommodating my request for a delivery order. Everything was amazing and flavorful. The cabbage was the best I ever had! I also ordered a beef patty and it was 10/10!

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Hands down the best Caribbean/Jamaican food I’ve had, and I’ve had a lot. They have a cornucopia of unique menu items cooked up fresh everyday. The homemade jerk sauce, the egg roll sauce, and the fresh made mango salsa are all great compliments to the amazing food. They have a great lounge area with comfy reclining chairs which makes for a nice place to hang out and eat some great food with awesome company.

Food was good but could’ve been more spicy especially for using jerk. Had the jerk curry goat because they ran out of oxtails. Was a little on the expensive side but definitely was good. The beef patties were scrumptious though and had so much flavor.

Brown stew chkn, egg rolls, plantains, beef patty.. Everything was fresh, good portions, great flavor.. This is what you want👍🏾👍🏾

I can genuinely say it's the best chicken I've ever had. It's incredibly juicy and tender on the inside and the skin is perfectly slightly crispy. Every bite is full of flavor, from the Mac and cheese to the egg rolls. You won't find anything like it anywhere else. Staff is nice; slightly longer wait time but understandably.

Jerk egg rolls are a go to. Plantains and other side are good. The jerk chicken is nice too. Also tried the jerk nachos, on point. Unfortunately I usually eat all the food up before taking a pic😌

Placed the order ahead of time 1 hour before closing and when I got there 30 minutes before closing to my surprise the place was still full which is a good sign. The nice women at the register mentioned they were a bit behind on my order to give them another 10-15 min which told me that each order is probably made to order another good sign. I returned my food was ready and it was worth the wait. I haven’t had jerk chicken in years and it reminded me of exactly how It tasted but better than many years ago. The jerk chicken was moist and flavorful. The rice and peas was soft, moist and cooked to perfection. The plantains were perfectly cooked. The jerk sauce was my kind of spicy! I’m already thinking about what I’m going to order the next time I stop by.

I am blown away. This hit the spot. I’m a Caribbean (Haitian) and this type of food always brings me comfort. Here’s what I ordered: Jerk chicken - so tender and good on the salt. Get extra jerk sauce on the side. SO 🔥🙌🏾 Brown Stew chicken - bussin’ flavor was so good. And so freaking tender Rice - it was cooked to the right conistency. I think it could’ve had more seasoning, but with the sauces from the meat it balanced it out Mac and cheese - it was very yummy, but kind of Americanized. Flavor was good and pairs well with the meal Cabbage - Run don’t walk! This was sooo good. Plantain - I could eat 100 of these in one sitting. So 🔥🔥🔥 Overall, I am so satisfied. It was affordable and the customer service was great and welcoming! This will be my new go to spot as it is only 10 minutes away from me. I get picky about my caribbean food and prefer it home cooked but this will definitely do. God loves me and you so much ❤️

9/10 Great flavorful foods, great service for delivery, dine-in and or take out! Minor mistakes but we all make those Not sure if i ordered correctly online but did want 3 jerk sauces and got 1 ketchup instead! But i don't think i did it correctly.

Every time we've ordered from here we've come away with happy bellies and tastebuds! What we get: Jerk Chicken - So good! The sauce is bright and tangy--obviously spicy, but so, so good. And there's really no place similar in this area. Paired with the rice and beans and cabbage helps tone down the spice. Goat Curry - So spicy but so flavorful! The meat is tender and it's addictive. Beef patty - This is different than others, and it seems deep fried where I'm used to baked. Always love a beef patty and our kids enjoyed it. Plantains - Our kids love plantains in whatever form. Plus, these aren't spicy so they eat them all. Mac and Cheese - I'm usually wary of getting mac and cheese for kids because it's bland and watery (my child's words not mine), but THIS mac and cheese was SO good! So much flavor and gooey cheese sauce. Both our kids loved it and said it was delicious. Easy win! Candied Yams - Of all the tasty things, this is probably my least favorite. Everything on the menu is packed with deep, rich flavor. But candied yams are just too sweet for me. I think people who like sweet things will love this, but my preference tends to lean less sweet and more savory. So if you're not huge on sweets either, maybe skip this and go for the other items. The staff here are so nice--we ordered with the high hopes of ox tail (one of the non-spicy items) but they were all sold out! My husband was so disappointed that she took pity on him and just gave him the sauce and bits and bones that were left because they couldn't sell it anyway. It was SO good. Almost better than the first time I remembered it. I could be entirely too full and still want a taste of these ox tails! Please never go out of business or change hands--this place is a gem.

This is something you don't typically see in the northwest suburbs - Jerk Chicken. I love good Jerk but have had to go into Chicago to get it - up until now. This is a small place in a strip mall on Algonquin Road by the 53 Interchange. We passed it a few times, but when our kids came to visit, we took a trip down the road to give Jerky Jerk a try. It was very clean and nicely appointed. You order at the counter (the person who took our order was amazing), and they deliver the food to your table. This is a little different than other Jerk I've had. The meat is stewed and served with a spicy Jerk dipping sauce. Although different, it was very good. I had the grilled Jerk Chicken with plantains - the chicken was tender and juicy and well spiced. The dipping sauce was amazing. And, the plantains were tender and sweet - they really went well with the spicy chicken. Everyone else was equally pleased with their food and the service. What a nice addition to the suburbs. I was pleased to see the dining room was almost full, and they seem to do a good takeout business. I look forward to going back soon.

This place was a little hidden. When I got there, it was quiet. After I ordered, people kept coming in. I barely beat the small rush. It's a little dark inside because of the lighting they use. The seating area was clean. The cashier was really nice and friendly. The food took 15-20 mins which she let me know. I kind of expect that when the food is cooked fresh. I didn't mind the wait. There aren't any plates. The food is served in to go containers. I just had to ask for another box to share the food. I ordered the jerky nachos, wings with jerky honey sauce, and a grapefruit ting drink. The nachos were good, the chicken was moist and flavorful. The wings had a good crunch to them. They weren't drenched in sauce. I appreciate that. I didn't realize they had lunch special until after I ordered, so check for that before you order.

This is our go to for jerk in the burbs! The "Chef's Special - Meal for 2"($25) is our regular but when we ordered tonight, I noticed the day's special of "Jerk Brisket tacos" ($18) so I had to try them. Man these were some of the best tacos I've ever had, topped with their sweet, tangy & very spicy sauce..they were incredible! The rice & red beans & boiled cabbage with peppers you get with your meal are very hearty. Great food overall, definitely recommend!

Tasty halal Jamaican Stopped by here on a whim after seeing good reviews of the place. It's located on a strip that's somewhat annoying to get to from the main road. Parking is plentiful and there's tables inside to dine in, but today was carry out. I normally order a jerk chicken with rice and peas and cabbage when I visit a Jamaican restaurant I'm not familiar. This place is solid. I think the chicken could use more flavor, but the meat was tender and moist. Rice and peas and the cabbage side were nice. The sauce here is bomb, it's flavorful and not just spicy sweet you usually get. They package the food really well to prevent leakage; very appreciative of that. Would come here again and check out the other items.

This is my 3rd time to eating at this location and it finally tastes like the original spot !!!!! My macaroni was rich and creamy and cheesy, my goat and jerk chicken was tender and seasoned well. The staff was patient and accommodating while I was having trouble with my order. I felt the prices were just a little bit more than what they should've been or maybe include the bread or jerk sauce. But my portions were nice and my bf and I ate it all !

Had the dark jerk chicken with rice and red beans lunch special today. The tenderness of the chicken and the blackened smoky flavors of the outer skin saturated my smell and taste. The rice and beans were a perfect complement to the jerk chicken. Overall, a very satisfying experience with a unique world cuisine. I will be back. You will too.

I visit this establishment today half white dinner. With a side of red beans and rice.jerky patties. only to get home and realized that there was no beans and rice, which was charged once getting back to the restaurant. I encounter nothing but rudeness from the owner of this restaurant, no apology for her rudeness or the inconvenience of the order missing item . She was more focused on stating that my friend was rude to her. No apology for the inconvenience. No apology for the food that I order is now cold because I had to go 20 minutes back to the establishment only for her to be very rude and a fool to be very tasteless.

Simply amazing Caribbean food. I found this hidden gem somewhat by accident while driving home one evening. The jerk chicken sandwich and patties are fantastic! Another favorite is the jerk chicken tips. Saucy and flavorful. If you like Caribbean food, you will love Jerky Jerk!

Absolutely AMAZING! I literally can't even put into words how flavorful and delicious this food is! My husband and I wanted to try something new and happened to pass this restaurant and we were so excited we placed our order at 6 am the next morning for an 11 am pick up lol. We had the 3 meat dinner special with chicken tips, fried chicken, and curry chicken with macaroni and cheese and red beans and rice. We also had their plantains. Customer service was fantastic, the person who took our order was extremely nice and friendly. We highly recommend this restaurant and we will absolutely be returning soon.

First time here, certainly won't be my last time! Since it was my first time I had to order the jerk chicken, although there were many other dishes that caught my attention such as the curried chicken, or the jerk goat. The chicken was absolutely divine! Moist, flavorful, and the sauce that came with it was packed with a nice combo punch of heat and touch of sweet! Yum! Friendly and helpful service with a great mural of Bob Marley on the wall to view while eating! Since they give you lots of food per order, enough to take home yummy leftovers, I'll have to come back to try the other dishes! Hit this place, hit this place hard and often, they deserve the business!

food is made from scratch, which is wonderful, but that does mean that you might have to wait a little longer if you're picking up And ordering from the place. Friendly atmosphere always trying to help you get a better deal. Worth a try if you haven't been to a Jamaican restaurant in the Northwest suburbs.

The only way I could do that was if you wanted me too I could come and pick it out and then I can go pick up it from your place or you could just pick me out of there or you could come pick me out and I could just drop you back in my truck or you can come pick me out and pick it off the road or you could just drive it back home if that's what you're doing I can do it anytime I don't have

This place is way overpriced, they nickel & dime you to death. $1 for a slice of bread is ridiculous! The chicken was good, it wasn't dry. The jerk sauce was flavorful. The mac & cheese tasted like it came out of a box. I might try them again & order a lunch special, but never again for dinner. The staff were nice.

I've been here twice. It's an odd location- a strip mall off the main drag. If you are coming from the east on Algonquin you have to make a U-turn and enter a service road to get in. From the outside it looks dark and possibly closed at first. Inside it's a carry out vibe with a few tables and some sort of closed off game room with a big screen TV which was playing Breaking Bad when I came the 2nd time. Both times I came there were no other eat in diners except us, and there was a slow but steady stream of carry out traffic. Nobody is waiting for you - it's empty - but a nice woman emerged both times to take my order after I entered. I've had the jerk dark meat chicken - delicious, and the brown stew which was another piece of chicken stewed in a mildly sweet gravy/ sauce also good. The jerk was full flavored and moist. Sides I've had: rice and peas which was a savory dark rice with what looked like black beans. It's fine but smushed in with the chicken in your styrofoam container so that it soaks up the jerk flavor as well. Cabbage is also very savory and very good though I prefer my cabbage a bit firmer. Yams - a thick slice of sweetened sweet potato, good flavor and breaks up all the savoriness of the other dishes. The hot sauce provided is great, sweet and very hot. They have mac and cheese, plantains and other sides. They also have curry goat and oxtail stew but they are each $10 more than the chicken. I'd love to try, but not sure it'd be worth $28.95 for a dish served in a styrofoam container. Many other choices, non- traditional, like jerk tacos. There's a sign saying we have no microwave, all food prepared to order - the food really tastes homemade. All in all, I love this place but keep in mind you're getting plastic utensils and a styrofoam container - casual dining only. Except as noted above, reasonably priced, big portions, lots of flavor. I hope the NW suburban area can support this place as I want to go back - strong 4 stars.

Have been longing for good jerk chicken since moving to the suburbs. Used to go to Mr. Browns Lounge in city and loved that until it closed. Glad this place exists. Chicken was full of flavor, I will be going back!

Food was excellent. Just small portions for the 3 meat dinner I decided to go here after hearing good things on FB. I set up my Google maps to navigate me there and it was about 1/2 mile off. Instead of making a right on Algonquin it told me to make a left and it sent me to a neighborhood so I called and the lady told me to type in the pawn shop. Finally found it. There was no one there so no line. Lots of Caribbean options like jerk salad and jerk pasta. I couldn't decide so I got the 3 meat dinner. Jerk tips, jerk dark and curry chicken. Macaroni and cabbage for sides. Everything was so good and flavorful. But I felt like my to go bag was light weight. Maybe 1/2 cup of tips and 1/2 cup of the curry. Just wish they gave more for the price.

It's been many years since I've had jerk chicken. I was excited when I saw a social media post about a jerk chicken place that had opened up about 15 minutes from me. My wife was stuck with babysitting duties after work so I was on my own for dinner. She does not do anything remotely spicy so times like this I try and get something out of the norm. Placed my order online on the Jerky Jerk website. 2 meat 2 sides...1/4 dark jerky jerk chicken, Mr Brown stew chicken, corn and peppers, and mac n cheese. I received a text message that my order was confirmed with a time it would be ready for pickup. When I arrived the restaurant had a seating area with tables and chairs. A few other patrons either eating or appearing to be waiting for food. It was clean on the inside. There is a walled off section dedicated to slot machines. I ordered my food to go but even if I was planning on eating in I wouldn't have. The reason being the volume of the music. The music wasn't bad it was just loud enough that you'd have to shout to have a conversation. Perhaps I'm old but I would have turned it down a notch. I waited about an extra 15 minutes after my pickup time but that didn't bother me. New restaurant...bunch of orders...I get it. I like fresh hot food instead of dry heat lamp food. Now onto the food. When I got home and unwrapped everything the food was still piping hot in the container. I was hungry and had stewed chicken juice all over me but I didn't care and dove in. The stewed chicken was tasty and I would get that over some rice (and I don't really like rice). The 1/4 dark was good and I would get it again. The corn and peppers were tasty and the Mac n cheese was really good. Unfortunately they gave me a container of some sort of sauce. Once I tried that it went on everything. It had good flavor with a good amount of heat. I think I ate the whole container of food in about 10 minutes. I had expected, knowing how I eat, to have some leftovers but not today. I wish Jerky Jerk the best and I know I'll be back again. Put down the stereotypical cheeseburger you got from some random place in suburbia and get some jerk in your life.

I ordered three meats and yams and cabbage dinner.The dinner was outstanding!! The jerk was very tasty.The yams and cabbage was southern style.It was great tasting!

Super nice employees, and the food was GREAT!! best suburban jamaican/caribbean food. super authentic - what i've been waiting for!! and not too expensive either. would totally recommend and will totally be back.

Only giving the 2nd star because the jerk chicken is good. But this place needs to get itself together. Each time we order from them our order is not ready at the time we requested. This past weekend it took them an hour and twenty minutes to prepare our food. Which was made incorrectly and was given to us Luke warm at best. Sorry can't come back until you learn better business operations.

My husband and I dined in for dinner tonight. Overall it is a very good experience. The food is very good and the prices are reasonable for the portions. We had the jerk chicken, plantains and rice and peas. All very flavorful. The jerk sauce has really nice heat as well as the sauce that came with the plantains. The staff was all very friendly. It did take a little while, maybe 30 minutes to get our food, but it's a small establishment and had people picking up orders the whole time we were there, so the wait time made sense.

If I could rate it more than 5 I would . Service is great , food is great . Well worth the wait and the money. I would come again & recommend it to others!!

If you've NEVER had authentic Jamaican Cuisine or had the pleasure of savoring that unique combination of traditional flavors and spices.., this is the PLACE. Unfortunately, I love Jamaican food and this was the worse . You can tell alot about a Jamaican spot by their personnel and music ! And the rum punch taste like watered down hi C fruit punch . Again , for some it may be a great place for me , I added Garlic powder & salt to the dry bland rice .... It was my 1st time and I was underwhelmed from beginning to end. Terrible

I loveeee the food, everytime the jerk has been amazing but I've tried to order two times now and each time I arrived to the restaurant it was closed when online said otherwise!!

This hidden gem was such a pleasant surprise! Smells fantastic when you walk in. My order was ready so quick- not sure what all the other reviews are talking about. Super friendly! The food was DELICIOUS! We had the grilled dark meat, fried chicken, stew, curry chicken. The jerk sauce was really spicy but such a good depth of flavor. My kids were obsessed with the plantains- I barely got a bite. My parents are very particular about their coleslaw and they loved it. Will definitely be a regular customer! Thanks Jerky Jerk fam :)

This is definitely the best Jamaican/ Caribbean food I've ever had. It wasn't just a hint of flavor. It was all flavor. The brown stew was so tasty and the jerk chicken was awesome. My aunt let me try some of her oxtail and that definitely hit the spot too. The staff is super nice also. I can't wait to come back. I've got my eye on the patties

Great Chicken.. I've only gotten the Mac and cheese from the sides.. and I prefer the grilled chicken.. the sauce is spicy and comes on the fried chicken.. on the grilled they had it on the side.

Excellent Jerk Chicken. We tried the family pack of 4 for $44. Fall off the bone chicken flavorful and cooked well. The rice and peas were great as well. We will definitely be coming back here. Place needs to be a little quick, we had our order to pickup at 6pm, but was not ready till 7:45pm, maybe a busy or off day for them, but they made it up on the quality/quantity as well as the flavor!!.

I would give the food 4 stars. We would definitely get it again. The jerk chicken was fresh and delicious, same goes for the rice and peas and plantains. We ate there, which we would not do again. The restaurant was nothing special and the rum punch was incredibly sweet and I don't think had much alcohol. Staff was nice. Order ahead and take it to go.

Best jerk chicken place in the burbs in A WHILE! Pretty good chicken and mac and cheese. It's a little expensive but worth it!

I ordered jerk tacos, they were just okay!! Also I ordered some extra thinking I'm getting coco bread, but instead I got some wonder bread. I was so mad!!

Third time trying this place and I just can't. I love Jamaican food but this is NOT it. Beef Patties are overpriced and disappointing.

The egg rolls are amazing... fabulous bbq sauce! I also had the steamed cabbage (( so delicious )) the help was very nice. This place is a gem

The food here is delicious! I prefer the grilled jerk, the girlfriend preferred the fried chicken but the jerk sauce is the all around winner. My kids liked the brown stew chicken and rice. Highly recommend this place.

The Jerk Chicken is not real Jerk Chicken it's not flavorful very bland the oxtails don't taste like Jamaican no flavor bland bland oxtails. They really need to work on that and they need to work on the sides as well not real jerk I'm disappointed waste of money.

The food is really good. We've had the jerk chicken, the jerky, fries, side of peas and rice as well as mac & cheese. Everything taste great. You need to order ahead if you want to eat there because it takes a while for them to cook the food. Which means it's fresh. Also, make sure you ring the bell if nobody's at the front. I stood around waiting for a while cause I didn't know I needed to do that.

Delivery orders are regularly 15-20 minutes late. We don't get paid extra when orders are behind. Time is money! I'm sure they wouldn't like working for free. I know they're new but they need to get their pick up times correct. I won't be taking more orders from them because I've been burned too many times.

I placed an order online it said approx 30-40 mins. But actually took over an hour. A few others inside said the wait time was crazy too. But the food made up for it once I arrived home. It was delicious. Just be prepared to wait around and don't be in a rush.

It was a no for me!!! The sauce was sweet and REALLY spicy and the chicken tasted baked instead of barbecued.
