"Jérôme Nutile brings plenty to the table: "Meilleur Ouvrier de France" 2011, he notably presided over the heyday of Hostellerie Le Castellas, in Collias. In his Nîmes location, a converted farmhouse, he celebrates the seasons through delightful dishes: tender leeks cooked on Camargue fleur de sel, fondant of wild salmon confit; the traditional French classic of hare à la royale cooked two ways – in the style of Antonin Carême and Senator Couteaux's recipe, beautifully executed and tasty. Add to this the friendly and competent service, a fantastic list of regional wines, and you have everything you could ask for!" - Michelin Inspector

"In the annex of his Michelin-starred restaurant, Jérôme Nutile offers a market-fresh slate menu. The culinary line-up takes a new look at textbook Gallic classics and smacks of bistronomic creativity. Examples include creamy artichoke soup jazzed up with truffle oil and foie gras; a half duckling cooked over embers with a honey and thyme sauce; fish of the day from Grau-du-Roi fish auction; a sweet-toothed creamy vacherin with chestnut ice cream and a blackcurrant coulis." - Michelin Inspector

We had the 3 course meal. It was pretty good. I am not sure if it was a language barrier but the service wasn t what we expected. No one was rude, but they did jot seem to know the wines or the dishes when we asked questions. Overall it was worth the drive and the price.

During a recent visit for my birthday, I found the cuisine at the Bistro by Jérôme Nutile to be truly impressive—our main courses were delicious, and my dessert was excellent. The champagne was perfectly chilled, and the décor and ambiance were both delightful, contributing to a relaxing and welcoming environment. Unfortunately, the service fell short of the restaurant’s culinary standards. We were served by five different waiters, yet no one seemed to be coordinating or even aware of our table’s status. Not once were we asked how our meal was, and when we voiced our concerns about the disorganized service as we settled the bill, our feedback was simply ignored. This inattentive, chaotic approach dampened what should have been a special occasion, leaving me hesitant to return. While the kitchen clearly knows what it’s doing, the lack of a smooth, attentive service experience makes me skeptical about trying the main gastronomic restaurant in the future.

Lovely. The food was delicious! We were placed among the smokers under the sun. Kind of embarrassing, but at least the food we ate was worth every penny charged.

Wow, what an experience. Stayed at the Hotel for a night which was perfect for dinner.. The wait staff were professional yet casual and provided us with various options.. My only regret is not being able to stay another night to try the other menu options… Then was made to feel like a king for breakfast the next morning. Can’t wait to visit again.

We ate at the bistro with fixed menu. Despite the good food, service was the worst I have ever had: (1) the place is not dog friendly but allows loud kids? (2) 2 of the younger waiters have zero manners. They gave us a table that was unstable and were unable to fix it. They forgot to serve the wine or the water. They served other tables before us as we were more demanding… and much more. I am leaving 2 stars instead of 1, simply because the older lady (and the younger waiter from Bretagne) were adorable. The other 2 need to change job to something that is not client-facing. Definitely some training to be done!

We at in the Bistr’au and we strongly recommend it. The food and wine were very good, for a reasonable price. Service was more than excellent.
