Where to Find Beer To-Go in Austin | Eater Austin

"The Hill Country brewery is still serving to-go pickup beers via its drive-thru. The menu features a whole lot of its beers, from experimental farmhouse ales to collaborations. Orders can be placed over the phone or online. The brewery is reopened its outdoor areas for dine-in service, thanks to its restaurant." - Nadia Chaudhury

I have stayed here many times, so if you are expecting a fancy experience, you might want to look elsewhere. The charm of the place is being on-site and around the magic that is Jester King. Unique Stay Tons of Fun! It has been a yearly tradition to stop by since 2021!

The Inn was great. We stayed at Ruby and Coyote. Three families with children and three grandparents. Can’t beat the location with a 2 min walk to the brewery and goats. Very laid back and a great escape. We went in this record summer heat and the AC worked great. The kids loved the freedom of running between cabins. We even saw a few cute baby Texas Spiny Lizards outside by the picnic tables! I wish there were a few more towels stocked in the cabin but then again there were a lot of us. We saw the goats on our way out which was a highlight. Great trip we will visit again!

Not worth the price. I rented the Bunting cabin for my husband’s birthday. We had a hard time finding our cabin when we first arrived. Better signage would be helpful. Then hard time finding our way to our cabin in the evening from the brewery because there were no lights on the path. The window unit in the cabin had a broken knob and could not be easily adjusted. The sink did not have any warm water. Paying close to $300 for a one night stay seems like I should be able to wash my face and brush my teeth with warm water. We also could have used an extra blanket on a cold night. My husband enjoyed the stay and loved the location right next to his favorite brewery. I just feel we paid too much for the condition of the cabin.

Rented Ruby/Hummingbird cabin 6/28-30/2024. Tall grass was not mown around the several yards of narrow path leading to the front door, creating a hidden rattlesnake danger. The doorknob fell off the exterior door, preventing us from locking it, creating a security hazard for our belongings and ourselves, especially with numerous guests at the Brewery nearby (we also had children with us). The bunk bedroom was next to the kitchen in a space that is the size of a walk-in pantry, and did not have a door on it. The two queen/full sized beds appear to both be full size and are crammed into a small room. Top sheets were not provided. The bedroom wall shared the bathroom wall. The toilet screamed each time it flushed. The water was not working on the first day we were there. "Engineering" was called, but they never told us that they fixed it. After waiting hours for showers, we finally tested it again and learned it had been turned back on. The water was not running on the master shower on our second day either. We became worried that the water was not potable/drinkable. The cabin manager told me that they sprayed for bugs around the cabin, and that she hoped scorpions would not be inside. Even so, a giant spider made itself at home in the outdoor shower (which did not work) - If the area had been sprayed, I'd think the spider would not have seemed so comfortable. A high clearance vehicle really is best for the road leading to the cabin. The washout on the road is pretty unnecessary and easily repaired. Guests should be told in advance. We asked for some sort of compensation or reimbursement for all of the problems. None was provided, nor was my call returned. Jennifer, the cabin manager, was difficult to reach when initially trying to make a reservation. She also did not return my call/messages when I asked if we could be compensated in some way, even though she said she would get back to me. She also told me that they are trying to sell the cabins to a new company, and she hopes to stay on as the manager and also shared that she is the music manager for Jester King Brewery.

Highly recommend, especially for events. Quintessential Texas Hill Country (limestone, live oaks, wide spaces) ambiance. The Innkeeper is fantastic and handled the complicated logistics very well. The Cedar Pavilion was perfect for catering (BBQ/pizzas from Jester King), a brass band, and breakfast tacos/brunch. Everyone loved the goat happy hour. Cabins are rustic and nicely maintained. All the facilities were very clean.

We had my husband’s celebration of life at Jester King Inn and couldn’t be happier with it. We rented the entire inn for family in town and had his celebration outside in front of the small wooden stage. Jenn was easy and flexible to work with, and Bobby and others on staff helped move large picnic tables around, and build bonfires for the family. It was a safe place for 6 cousins under 10 to run around, yell and not bother anyone being kids. To be clear, I don’t think this is a place for people who want luxury or modern or super neatness. We are the kind of family that encouraged people to wear jeans and t shirts and flip flops to a memorial, so, for people like us, it was so special. There was joy in amongst our tears because of the place and how it allowed us to be together. Only recommendation is Jester King Inn could use better signage to separate it from the Brewery as many guests initially were confused about where to park.

We stayed at Jester King Inn for the New Year. Our family of 5 fit perfectly in the Bobcat cabin. The bathrooms/showers are right across from the cabin. They are clean and only shared with a couple campsites and one other cabin. A few cabins have bathrooms, so we didn't share with more than a couple people. The common area with fire pits is next to the Pavillion (where bathrooms are). The Bobcat cabin had ample yard space in the back for our large pup to potty. The Dillo cabin was next to us, but the area is wooded so the space felt private. Our cabin had a microwave, toaster oven, coffee machine, mini fridge, and a water machine with water. There is an ac/heat unit in the cabin and both work. The brewery is a 2 minute walk and has fire pits, heated and covered tables, live music often, sand play area, playset with slide, large field to run around. Amazing food and beer. I recommend ordering food on their website hours in advance when they are busy. The 2 mile hike on the property is easy for young children and beautiful. I wouldn't call it stroller friendly, but my 2 year old, 4 year old, and 7 year old walked it easily. The goat tour is fun for families. The guide was amazing and knowledgeable and we spent lots of time giving the pygmy goats love. We had everything we needed on the property and never had to leave. The property is chill and no crazy rules. We just did our thing and felt comfortable. The inn area was quiet despite thousands of people rolling through the brewery for the New Year. We couldn't even hear the live music. Quiet at night, as well. All areas are dog friendly. We will be back!

Very low ceiling in loft bedroom. My aunt hit her head multiple times. The bunk bed is sturdy by again a very low ceiling, with a ceiling fan. Very dangerous. The trundle bed had seen better days as well. It was broken ans so we just put the mattress on the floor. May be my fault but I feel that the lack of a kitchen or even water in the cabin should be highlighted. Also, the separate bathroom for all cabins was unexpected. My bad again and thankfully they were close to cabin. But lack of water was ridiculous.
