"Yes, there’s a restaurant at Fort Lauderdale’s Executive Airport, and yes, non-jetsetters can go anytime and watch the planes swirl by. It’s open daily for breakfast and lunch, with a “brunch favorites” menu boasting a crab cake hash, chicken, and waffle, and towering totchos topped with bacon and sausage."

This restaurant has amazing food. We had the French toast, pancakes, eggs and several meats. The food came out quick, smoking hot, and fresh. When they give you a container for the leftovers it comes with extra syrup and a bag already, so you don’t need to ask. This small attention to detail caught my attention. It’s in a small space, but despite there being a long line, the wait wasn’t too bad. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Google
A friend of mine told me about this place, and I’ve been there three times now. One time it was almost empty, but on the weekends, it was packed, and there was a little bit of a wait time to get a seat. The food is very good and fresh, and the atmosphere is fun with the airplane aesthetic and the ability to see planes coming and going out the large windows. I definitely will be going back.

After flying with my boyfriend at Executive Jet Center, we stopped by Jet Runway Café — and it was amazing! I definitely loved the breakfast and the mimosas. Everything was so good, the vibe was perfect, and the service was great. I’ll definitely be back soon! ✈️🥂🍳

Google
Great tasty food, friendly staff. Awesome views and comfortable dining experience . We had the Brunch Totchos and the Crab cake hash. Soooo good. It's obvious they use fresh quality ingredients. And the meals are cooked to perfection. Great experience eating right off the runway and watching the planes

Google
Such a cool concept. Food is decent. I ordered waffle and chicken. The portion size is very good. Service is fast. This place is packed on Thursday morning. Plan ahead.

Google
Cool place to have lunch, since you can watch the airport activity. It’s small and can be busy depending on the day. I ordered the cheeseburger, it was a little messy, but had good flavor. The fries were not good, next time I will go with a different side.

Google
Cute place with the added entertainment of getting to see planes take off and land. It gets pretty busy on the weekends and they don't let you make a reservation. We were able to make it first thing when they opened after a prior unsuccessful attempt. My cappuccino was great and came with the sugar stick. We were one of the first guests so thankfully not much of a wait for anything. The meals all came out warm and the food was good.

Google
Goodbye Jet Runway, we had some great journeys together but you have lost your way. I have to take this off the list. The last time I was in, I had the most pathetic omelet. They literally put 3-4 pieces of spinach leaves in it. When I brought it to the servers attention when I was done with my meal (she was nowhere to be found for 15 minutes after the food was brought), she showed my photo to the kitchen manager and offered a very generous $2 discount, haha. The prices are not crazy, but I wouldn't say value oriented. There is usually a very long wait on weekends, because it is cool to see the airplanes taxiing around FXE. There are better brunch places in the area.

Yelp
Very good breakfast, great service and wonderful ambiance Crab cakes were delicious Thanks for a delicious breakfast

Yelp
I have heard about this restaurant from my friends that have children and that it is a very popular restaurant for kids to see all of the airplanes so I wasn't expecting much for the actual food, I was just looking forward to the experience. Once getting there, I was blown away by some of the items on the menu! Everything was delicious! I had the steak and it was really good, would re order. Please keep in mind they don't take reservations and the lines get long, so I recommend going early!
google avatar

Kristyn P.

Yelp
Such a cool experience to see the planes landing and taking off while you dine! We had a cappuccino, buffalo chicken flat bread, and a breakfast dish. Both were equally delicious! It was also easy to get a seat, but we were there on a Monday, so take that with a grain of salt.

Yelp
Jet Runway Cafe is one of those hidden gems located in the Fort Lauderdale north airport. I think it is one of the better breakfast options in town. Service is usually quick and it has to be for people awaiting their jet. I like the "full tank" which offers a complete breakfast including both eggs and pancakes if you are feeling gluttonous. The vibe is relaxed and you can see the planes take off as the restaurant has great runway views.

Yelp
So today's my birthday and wanted to spend time with my family. My husband and kids at a new place. I saw great reviews here and I love to try out new places to eat. The wait time was good I was told 25 minutes but it was actually 10-13 minutes wait which is great. Upon sitting down greeted by the waitress and she calls me a kid can you say I felt so good because it's my birthday and I'm in my 30s was like YASS!! But back to the review. My daughter had kids meal with is the waffles let's just say the plate was empty. I ordered the first class steak medium with a side of grits which was good. My husband had the hash brown dish and let's just say that was delicious I had some. And the create your own omelette was good too. I will definitely come back to try other dishes Oh yeah btw it's place is nice as its by a small airport and nice view.
google avatar

Pam K.

Yelp
I'd say this place is worth checking out. It is right by the executive airport and you can watch planes landing and taking off which is really neat. The food is usually pretty decent. Even though it is tasty it is usual not enough to tempt me to come back unless I want to show off the neat view to friends and family. I would avoid going there around noon because they tend to be very busy. This is located nearby several office buildings so it tends to fill up with workers during the lunch rush. As for the interior, I always find it to be quite loud in there. Not from the planes but just from people talking. I think they should consider getting noise absorbing equipment so the chatter is less overwhelming.

Yelp
We found this place through Yelp, but how to use Google Maps to ensure that we were close to the area. We went on a Sunday around 1040 and there was a long line but they have this cool system where they asked for your phone number and then they will text you once you're table is ready and they were on point my wait was 25 minutes and at 22 minutes. I got a text. But this place is really popular and I could see why the staff are nice. The place is clean and there's a nice variety of food. My husband had the silver lining salad and that hard bread was delicious. It was like cinnamon cranberry toast, but it was yummy. I ordered the egg Benedict and the potatoes were cooked to perfection. There just wasn't enough hollandaise sauce on my egg Benedict but other than that, it was good and it was nice to look at the Jets landing and leaving and imagine the one percent that I will never be a part of.

Yelp
Spoiler alert ... no pictures were taken! This spot is at the FLL executive airport off of Commercial Blvd. You can't make reservations however I didn't think there would be an almost 1/2 hr wait. A clean, bright space with shiny furniture and fittings, you can't look out the huge windows as the plane and helicopters take off and land. A little noisy, but generally in a good way as seems like plenty of groups with good conversations. Once we were seated, service was swift and attentive. Everything we had was delicious ... from the coffee to the meals! Such a fun spot for good food! Ps ... extra points for the plentiful parking!

Yelp
I wasn't prepared for how delicious this place would be when I first walked into Jet Runway Café! The vibe is low-key -- the kind of hidden gem that feels like a local secret. Its tucked away. I went on a weekday around 11:30 AM and it was already packed (which says a lot), but the service was still impressively fast and friendly. The menu is American but full of variety -- something for everyone. I ordered the brioche burger with bacon and fries, and it was hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had. Perfectly cooked and flavorful, with crispy fries. I noticed that every plate coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. Such a cool vibe, the planes and helicopters landing right in front of you while you eat. It's like a laid-back brunch with a private air show! I can't wait to come back and try their breakfast and salads next.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Service was good and I loved the music selection. The view of the jets leaving was nice.

Yelp
Ive been to JET before and I loved it. For my takeaway order today, I ordered Avo toast and was disappointed. The Avo tasted like it came out of a plastic pouch. It wasn't fresh. It came with a side of grits and there was zero seasoning and flavor. I was beyond disappointed. No pics I took a bite and tossed it.

Yelp
This was a trip highlight for me. Having breakfast on a tarmac is one i'm sure I will never forget. The food taste great, there is a variety of menu options available. The service was exceptional and the overall vibes were chill. I would definitely go back. The banana bread french toast is delicious. I would love to see them host events or even have a tour option available.
google avatar

Yelp
IVE already posted a review for Jet ;) I'm adding new pics. I hope this updates with the previous review!

Yelp
I've been to this restaurant several times for different meals for breakfast and lunch. I have to say that the wait staff is friendly and they try. The food is unimpressable if that's a word. I was not impressed not with that breakfast not with that coffee. I have tried their lunch couple of times and it just feels like it's processed. Food just warmed up
google avatar

Jamie G.

Yelp
The concept of this restaurant being right on the tarmac is one of the many great reasons to stop in! Living 11 minutes away from here and being told about it for the past two decades, I don't know why I waited so long to try it out, but soooo happy I finally did. It was so easy to get there and find parking. I was always told there can be quite a wait especially on the weekend, but I guess me and my boyfriend got lucky when we popped in on a Saturday morning shortly after they opened. We waited only about 10 mins and got a great seat right along the large windows facing the tarmac. Love how everyone in the restaurant works together and keeps the flow going to get your food out as quickly as possible. Our food was beyond delicious, fresh and so comforting. My boyfriend got the "Full Tank" while I went with the "Brunch Totchos" and we could not stop saying how great everything was for the rest of that day. This is a really great spot to take people from out of town or just enjoy a morning date with your partner like we did. I can not wait to return!

Yelp
Me and a friend came here to see the private jets and helicopters. We didn't get to see any land or take off but still was a cool experience. The place was pretty packed. We split the eggs Benedict. It was good. The eggs were made perfectly. The homes fries were a little to fried and well done that I'd like. The staff was super friendly. There's plenty of parking.
google avatar

Payal P.

Yelp
This breakfast spot is right on the runway. It's super fun to enjoy your breakfast while watching the plans take off! We had a 30ish min wait time as they don't take reservations. Service was great as well.
google avatar

Natalia W.

Yelp
I struggled giving this place 5 stars because there's no reservation system & there's ALWAYS A 60 minute wait when I come. But the food, service, & views are so good that I had NO CHOICE. 1st - get the bread pudding for dessert. Share it with the table. It is phenomenal. I took a block home, popped it in the microwave & it was still perfection. Ugh! So good. 2nd- salmon burger was delicious. Fries were crispy on outside soft on the inside 3rd- French toast was great, without an eggy taste The prices are reasonable $18 for salmon burger $18 for French toast, eggs, bacon & sausage, grits And the waiters and waitresses work TOGETHER to make sure the entire cafe is taken care of. They don't " send " your waiter over when you ask them for something. 4.9/5 really because the wait is horrendous. But man is it worth it once you get there

Yelp
Jet Runway Café in Ft. Lauderdale is a gem for both aviation enthusiasts and food lovers alike. From the moment I walked in, the service was incredibly friendly and efficient--despite ordering to-go, my breakfast was ready in just 15 minutes. The café offers an amazing view of jets taxiing on the runway and parked planes, which made the experience feel uniquely exhilarating. I ordered the Jet Breakfast Sandwich on wheat toast, which was perfectly made with eggs that I got fried (hard), bacon, and cheddar cheese. The grits on the side were buttery, a great compliment. 1000/10 The atmosphere was relaxed since I went early in the morning, and the staff really made me feel welcomed although I had to go. I'll definitely be back for more! Highly recommend it for a quick, delicious meal with an unforgettable view!
google avatar

Shalonda B.

Yelp
Although, it does come with a bit of a wait. The food was pretty good overall and the view was nice. I just wish fresh avocados were used instead of that avocado paste.
google avatar

Wendy B.

Yelp
Always a great meal and interesting view. Went with work friends to catch a glimpse of the Blue Angels. Very cool. I have tried many different meals and this place doesn't disappoint! And for my Coke not Pepsi friends - it's an all Coca-Cola menu. Salad was spot-on, soup was delicious but I would have wanted to be served hot - not warm. Loved the extra cheesey Mac'n Cheese!
google avatar

Gariette C.

Yelp
I went to Jet Runway for my birthday and I absolutely loved it. I got the best seat (got to view the airplanes). The food was incredible and the service was very efficient. I didn't have to wait too long to get seated so it was great overall
google avatar

Yelp
3rd time here; second time having the dish I ordered and the quality of food has certainly gone down in the last 2 years.
google avatar

Ann Robin H.

Yelp
3/2025- 4 of us had a great lunch. Service was fantastic. One ordered the avocado toast with the fried egg on top ,one had the Philly cheesesteak ,I had shrimp and grits very interesting were a little different than what I expected, but still very good. The other had a spinach salad shrimp kebab looked really nice.. all very good .
google avatar

Adam C.

Yelp
Located at the FTE private airport this is where you want to have breakfast before you head out in your private jet. The vibe is good because who does not like to watch jets taking off while sipping coffee. The full tank option offers the best value and the crispy French toast is worth every bite. Word is out and this restaurant can become rather crowded. Service is usually fast
google avatar

Lindsay M.

Yelp
Cute little airplane resturant where you can watch airplanes go by.land or take off great staff and service lots of parking in and out or you can even take out the wait time is no longer then 30 minutes but so worth it . They have a small menu. Everything about this place is amazing super fun for kids .
google avatar

Yelp
We had a really nice different type of lunch experience on a Sunday in January. It was just two of us. We had to wait 45 mintues for a table but we didn't mind because we walked around watching the planes land and take off. We even saw an itty bitty 2 seater plane land. The service at the restaurant was awesome. Very friendly staff. Food came out pretty quickly. My husband said that was the best Philly steak sandwich he ever had. We ordered a bread pudding to go and when we got home and opened the bag it had 5 chunky squares with berries and syrup. Wow! I expected just 1 square. We were pleasantly surprised with everything. $54 for all. Go check them out.

Yelp
It's our first time here and we enjoyed it, from the food to the view. We partook of dishes from the brunch menu. We had an order of the First Class and the Crab Cake Hash accompanied by mimosas. When we arrived there was a wait they quoted us half an hour to 45 minutes but I believe they called us 20-25 minutes in. We sat at a half booth with a beautiful view of the runway; the booth was comfy. Overall we liked our experience and would come back.
google avatar

Yelp
This is the dream restaurant for anyone who loves food an airplanes. You've got high quality food, and a great view to see some taxiing planes, as well as some takeoffs and landings! How neat is that? The service rocked, the menu was to the point, and the food was mostly great. A slightly larger menu would have been more interesting. I'll let the menu slide because it's a breakfast/lunch/brunch only place. But seeing only 4 items on the "main plates" was slightly weak. and 3 burger options, 2 beef and 1 salmon is slightly weak as well. due to my own health issues I can't dabble with the burgers here, but a veggie or turkey burg would have convinced me to get one. Either way it was a great experience. Everyone in my group loved their food. Prices were modest. Only dropping a star because my food came out with cold mashed potatoes. I'm sure it was a random error.... but veggies and salmon, piping hot! sweet potato fries hot, everything delish but I had to take most of the mashed potatoes home and reheat them to enjoy it. Literally ice cold. the restaurant in general was cold (which i prefer) but it's like someone plated the potatoes first, left them under an AC vent for 5 minutes, and then plated the rest. Either way I'm not mad about it, good time all around, but can't call it a 5 star experience. 4.6 stars but they dont give me the option to rate it as such. My only advice would be to include more aviation titles to the menu items. FXCheese, Banyan burg, runway wrap and the hilarious "jet tacos." just a little confusing and minimal thought put into it (except for FXCheese, i enjoyed that one). but you're at one of the larger general aviation airports in south florida, the titles can be more creative. Also maybe a "show your pilots license and get zero discount" should be a thing, just so these entitled pilots can show the waitress/waiter that they're a pilot, guaranteed theyll love that so much they'll return.
google avatar

Phil P.

Yelp
The food was good. The waitress was friendly and pretty quick despite how busy they were. I came because people mentioned seeing the planes but I got stuck staring at a wall so the main reason I came never happened. It cost more than I expected as well. I'd still recommend it as a one time thing if you can actually get a seat viewing the runway. Otherwise, I didn't see what all the hype was about and left disappointed. It's a tight spot so when crowded, it can be a bit loud.
google avatar

Kevin D.

Yelp
This was my first time eating here (I've lived here in Fort Lauderdale for 20 years & said to my friend that's been here before.."what took me so long"? lol. Symone and I both ordered The Full Tank and Hot Chocolate. Our server Karen was good and the food was delicous. I must say that I'm glad that we got there at 7:30am, because by 8:30 as we were leaving ALL of the seats were full!!
google avatar

Sara S.

Yelp
What a fun place to grab a bite! The restaurant sits next to the runway of Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. As you enjoy your delicious food, you can watch the private planes come and go. The perfect spot for a little one into aviation, or your big one for that matter. The service is great, prices are reasonable, and the food is delicious.
google avatar

Tavia L.

Yelp
This place is a well kept secret. It has great service fresh food. Well seasoned be prepared to wait in line depending on time of day you come.
google avatar

Sammy D.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! A cute brunch spot that's not expensive. The food is very well seasoned. I didn't do a reservation when I went so there was a 40 min wait time. The food was delicious would definitely recommend
google avatar

Dawne A.

Yelp
First time , definitely will be more times to come. You are dining in a converted airplane hangar, super views of planes coming and going. Food and service were excellent. I did the avocado toast ( one of my favorites) and it didn't disappoint. My son went for the Blackened Mahi Sandwich which he said was delicious. This place gets very busy and closes at 3.
google avatar

Cynthia T.

Yelp
Was excited to try this place out being it's on the runway. We saw a helicopter take off and a couple of planes land. The service was good, and the food was average. We ordered the blueberry pancakes and the crab dish everyone seems to enjoy. I didn't like it, so my daughter ate it and enjoyed it. I won't be back because there are other place I like better for breakfast but it's fun for one time. I did see a guy that goes every single week to eat there. The place was jam packed and there was. 30 minute wait. Ambiance was nice, just a bit busy.
google avatar

Ali R.

Yelp
One of the best looking diners I've been to yet. With planes parked and flying right outside the window. The service was great. The servers were so helpful and friendly. Love how this spot is so cute on the inside while the outside is completely inconspicuous. Such a chill, picturesque cafe that I will definitely visit more.
google avatar

Jennifer P.

Yelp
Wow!! I recommend this place 100%!! It's a cute spot on the strip of the small airport. But the views are not just the best part! The food!!!! Everything was delicious! Best part is leaving full and not with that heavy feeling. This means the food is clean and healthy! I have recommended this spot to so many people already!
google avatar

Aliza K.

Yelp
This place was fine, nothing too exciting. It was pretty cool because you're sitting on the jetway, but to be completely honest, I don't even think we saw one airplane take off LOL. The food was super subpar, we ordered the blackened mahi mahi, which I was actually surprised about, great flavor! The jet cafe special which was eggs, bacon and potatoes and this dish was bad, no flavor. They don't even put salt or pepper in the eggs, the potatoes had zero flavor, not worth it. We also got the French toast, NO FLAVOR. We also ordered the bread pudding which was pretty good, it reminded me EXACTLY of the French toast sticks I used to get in elementary school, it was super nostalgic. It was fine but we def won't be coming back!
google avatar

Rifa C.

Yelp
I Placed my order with Jets runway through DoorDash. I ordered a First class breakfast classic and my STEAK was no where to be found. I also had the option to choose a toast and I chose rye bread and they gave me a croissant instead. I also ordered the triple stack pancakes and got blueberry pancakes. I spoke to the manager about the discrepancies with my order and she said to me there is no way I'm missing the steak , she was rude and inconsiderate. Horrible experience.
google avatar

Tim S.

Yelp
It's hard not to love a good stop in at Jet Runway. I jut went for my third time the other day and I'm officially three for three. They don't really take reservations so we walked in and crossed our fingers. We grabbed a window table which was fantastic. Right outside the window was a beautiful medical chopper. While we were still taking in the good vibes of the place the waitress already came by and brought waters. we got some coffees too. The best part was... They have V8! I grew up in New Mexico where every restaurant had it on the menu so that was a treat. we got a few different dishes. I got the classic breakfast sandwich with sausage and some potato's an grits. They always have had good grits. Everything was tasty really. The potatoes were grilled perfectly. It really is one of the top spots to hit for a bite in Fort Lauderdale.

Dorhee J.

Yelp
This is my second time coming to this restaurant and the service is very hit or miss. We sat down for 15 minutes and no one even looked at us. We weren't even given water. Needless to say we eventually left.
google avatar

Greshka P.

Yelp
Since my last review I{ve come back and this place is still 5 stars to me. It has become very popular, there have been times there wait is a bit long but always worth it. This last weekend we got lucky and got a table right away. We brought a friend, it was her first time and just like us, she loved it. Got window seat, to see the planes come and go. Service was quick and efficient. Got our coffees and waters almost immediately and the food did not take long either. She had the tater tot casserole breakfast, and being a vegetarian, asked the sausage and bacon on the side for other at the table to enjoy. This was no issue for the server or the kitchen and she really enjoyed her dish. I got the make your own omelette with home potatoes and toast. Not only delicious but generous portions as well. And the coffee keeps coming if you want refills. If you haven't been yet, you are missing out.
google avatar

Briana N.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places to go when im in the area! Not only can you eat, but you can watch the planes fly out through a huge window right by where the planes can park. And you can request to sit by the window if there are open seats available. The food itself is also delicious. Service is quick but the quality still delivers. Can't wait to come back again!
google avatar

Stacey G.

Yelp
Love JRC! It was a hidden gem for a lil bit but not anymore. If you're hungry for breakton the weekend, make sute ylu get there by 9-9:30 am. Food is always delicious and the service has alwajs been impeccable!
google avatar

Brittney S.

Yelp
Met a couple friends for breakfast at Jet Runway Cafe and had a nice time ! The view is nice, as the restaurant is literally on the runway, so you get to see small planes and helicopters landing and taking off. The service was great, everyone was friendly and attentive and although it was busy, we sidnt have to wait to be helped. The food was pretty good. The only thing I absolutely did not like were the breakfast potatoes. Even with ketchup, salt, pepper ...something was not right. Overall, it didn't take away from the experience as a whole , so if you're in the area, check it out!
google avatar

Saidy G.

Yelp
Had an amazing breakfast experience here. Food was delicious and had a direct view of the runway where all the jets take off! Unique experience and family friendly for those with littles who like aircraft.

Stephanie D.

Yelp
Let me first say the staff was pleasant, the food was was exactly as pictured and we will definitely be back. That being said, the parking is scare and the wait was definitely a wait (spent about an hour waiting for a table). My advice would be to come early to beat the brunch crowd and find parking.
