Where To Eat And Drink In Foggy Bottom - Washington DC - The Infatuation

"Jetties is only open from 11am to 3pm, but it still deserves a plaque for the service it’s done for lunch in Foggy. You’ll find both the GW and lobbyist crowd here during the week for excellent sandwiches, salads, soups. There are a few tables to eat at here, but we suggest taking your sandwich to-go (preferably to a nearby bench, not your fluorescent cubicle). We love them most for the Nobadeer, their year-round Thanksgiving sandwich featuring roast turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce on sourdough." - Sandra Rubinchik

If you’re looking for a sandwich that looks “exactly” like it’s picture, here’s Jetties! OMG, these sandwiches are massive, and the ingredients are delicious. Fresh vegetables and quality break along with generous portions size of meats on your sandwich will have you full. Friendly staff will get your order processed and get you out the door in not time. They’re available via most delivery apps (door dash, uber) take your pick. Enjoy the Tom Never which I had today, it was great from beginning to end. The only downside, is that this restaurant only takes credit cards. It’s completely cashless, so if you’re looking for a great fast casual dining look no farther.

Google
A great sandwich, soup and salad spot with thoughtful workers. Ingredients were fresh and the gluten free bread was VERY good in my hot sandwich. Got the turkey fig hot sandwich and there was a tad too much fig for my taste but I enjoyed it nevertheless. The turkey chili was very fresh and tomato-heavy too. Also My hot food was wrapped in foil to keep it warm. I’m excited to come back to try more!

Google
The salads and sandwiches are good. The problem is that twice now, on 2 separate occasions myself and a friend have had bugs in our salad. When it happened to me and I called and asked for a refund and the person didn’t seem to really know how to do it. I’m not sure if I ever got the refund. Today when it happened to my friend, we went back and showed them in person and got her a refund. It’s just concerning that this is clearly not a 1 off and now I worry that they don’t properly wash their produce before serving.

Google
Nice location and atmosphere. I got the Monomoy sandwich which was roast beef on toasted Italian sub roll with provolone and au jus dip. Came out hot and was a good value.

Eve Harclerode

Google
Got the Sconset sandwich, a hummus veggie sandwich with Muenster cheese. Wish it had some more flavor but it was a solid sandwich, could've been a little more exciting for 12.95 I fear but still solid.

Hilda Kroll

Google
Nothing fancy. Just good, fresh food at a reasonable price. I like to come here when I'm in the mood for a turkey sandwich. I usually get the Surfside ($15.45) with turkey breast, bacon, avocado, and mustard on fresh sourdough bread. I added honey mustard, cucumbers, and red onion at no additional cost. Orange cream soda was $2.95. It gets crowded at lunchtime, so I went a little before noon when there was no line.

Google
Good sandwiches and salads. Avocados not quite right. Turkey was good. Would order again.

Google
Said toasted, is not toasted. Said melted brie, it’s not melted. Said fig spread, there’s non. Overall a catastrophe

Yelp
Jetties is getting 5 stars from me! I ordered the Alter Rock salad which was delicious! It the perfect place for a quick lunch downtown. I can't wait to go back to try something different!

Yelp
Today, I ordered a Nobadeer and a side of meatballs. The online ordering was very easy-to-use, easy to customize a sandwich. I ordered my items for pickup. It was ready within a matter of minutes. The NoBadDeer sandwich is delicious. It's the sandwich you would make with Thanksgiving leftovers. It's got stuffing, mounds of turkey, cranberry sauce, and mayo. It's delicious! My only negative comment, and it's a minor one, is that I'd like a little more of that cranberry sauce on my sandwich. I did order a side of meatballs instead of chips. They were very tasty, and the sauce was decent. I would have liked a piece of garlic bread to dip in the sauce. Overall, it was a very tasty lunch.

Yelp
Great sandwiches. Fresh ingredients in interesting combinations. Have never been in the restaurant so can't speak to in-person service or ambiance. Have tried several sandwiches. The Still Dock chicken sandwich is one of my favorites. Always enjoy the pepper relish also. Cole slaw is some of the best around.

Yelp
A quick bite to eat and lots of options. My mom got a wrap and it was massive! I got a salad and it was well dressed and hearty. I appreciate the quick service and clean place. Apparently a staple in the GW area so glad we tried while visiting the hospital. Thanks for the comfort!

Yelp
Now I have never been inside this restaurant but I have ordered from DoorDash a few times. The steaks and cheese sub is everything!!!

Yelp
Looking for a quick lunch? Stop into Jetties! There were quite a few people waiting when I arrived. Several tables were filled and lots of work conversations going on. Not too loud though. One could easily carry on a conversation. I approached the kiosk and browsed the menu, found a sandwich, added it to my order, and paid, all through the kiosk! Super fast and efficient. About a minute later my sandwich was ready. I walked back to my office and dove into my surfside sandwich. The bread was soft with a nice bite on the crust. The grainy mustard added a nice zing. Great sandwich that came out significantly faster than anticipated. A new regular stop when I'm in town.

Yelp
I was at this Jettie's location yesterday and placed an order via the kiosks in the dining room. The computer malfunctioned and my order was not visible to the kitchen nor was I given a receipt confirming my order. Instead, the staff finally took my order at the main terminal at the counter and I asked for a printed receipt to confirm only one order was processed. All was good until I look at my bank account to find that my original order was debited from my account after-all. I now have no receipt or method of seeking reimbursement from the duplicate charge. The store also does not have a functioning phone number. I can inly email a general "info" mailbox. Pretty bummed that my already pricey $20 chicken salad & a drink (w/taxesactually cost me $40+. Learn from my hard lesson: don't use the kiosks in the dining room. go straight to the counter and wait, even when they try to ignore you're there and point to the kiosk.

Yelp
Did lunch here today. Had the clam chowder and the toast beef sandwich with au jus. Both were tasty and excellent choices. I highly recommend this restaurant for lunch. Quick, well staffed and excellent food
google avatar

Yelp
We got delivery from Jetties for an office lunch. The box lunches are great because they come with so much in them for a good price. The one thing is that I always order a vegetarian option and the only vegetarian option of their box lunches is the worst vegetarian sandwich there is. Please offer a different vegetarian option it is literally so bad.

Yelp
Great food but extremely understaffed for the crowd they get. It doesn't look busy but they are beyond overwhelmed with catering orders and candle handle any walk ins at all.

An B.

Yelp
Giving one star due to poor customer service and underwhelming food. Mind you the restaurant was empty except for one other customer when I was waiting for my sandwich. The other customer had a sandwich and soup, and I watched as the person behind the counter bagged/wrapped up their order before sending them on their way. When my sandwich was ready, the person asked if I also wanted a bag. I said yes and was surprised when the person threw a bag on top of my sandwich, then turned to talk to a person who had just entered the place (note: there are self-service kiosks so the new customer wasn't completely helpless). As for the food, I had ordered the Dreamland, thinking roasted turkey, brie and arugula would be really good with a fig spread. Instead, the fig was the only thing I could really taste as it overwhelmed all other flavors. Instead of a potentially sweet and savory combo, I was left with super sweet. Not a good sandwich and at that price, I should've gone with Potbelly or other nearby options instead.

Yelp
This is a fantastic lunch spot! Great sandwiches , hot or cold options, as well as salads. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Yelp
I can't wait to try more of the menu at this place.  I got the Surfside and added lettuce and tomato to it.  This place lives up to the hype.  The sandwiches are huge and every part of the sandwich is really flavorful.  One sandwich is easily two meals!
google avatar

Dani S.

Yelp
This Jetties never. gets. it. wrong. Every sandwich is to die for, but the Nobadeer is probably my favorite sandwich ever. It's never not in season LOL. The salads here are also supreme!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for lunch and it is a nice space with a lot of seating. They only accept card, no cash. it is also easy to order on the papers and they will prepare your order while you wait in line to be rung up. the clam chowder was fine. it was very oily but it had a lot of meat bits. you can also grab your own bags of oyster crackers, so i was super stuffed after a small.

Michelle N.

Yelp
Meh. Sandwich was lackluster and they forget to include a sandwich in our large order.
google avatar

Dana M.

Yelp
Their thanksgiving sandwich is AMAZING. Whenever I came to DC to visit my sister, I always made her take me here. You write your order on a little piece of paper and hand it in. You can customize anything your way! I have had bites of other sandwiches as well (one with roast beef that you dipped into an au jus sauce.. the name completely slipping my mind) and it was just delicious. There isn't much seating so be prepared to take out or wait for a spot. But either way you'll enjoy a nice fresh sandwhich!

Yelp
Best cold sandwich I've had in a really long time. On an Instagrammer's recommendation, I got the Sconset (hummus, muenster cheese, sprouts, tomato, carrots, cucumbers and avocado on multigrain) with turkey salad added to it. It came out to $13.70, which is obviously kind of a lot for a sandwich, but this thing was huge. I mean 1.5 pounds of food huge - I had to make two meals out of it. And it wasn't just quantity, but quality too - it was very tasty, lots of fresh vegetables and the turkey salad and fresh hummus were both great (and worked well together). I've read some complaints about the service - yeah, they're not overly nice, but they aren't hostile either. Just kinda aloof. I don't mind that if the food's good, and it's good here.
google avatar

Yvonne J.

Yelp
Small place offering up sandwiches hot or cold, and salads with a high level of customization if desired. You order by marking what you want on a sheet of paper and handing it to the person at the register so it's easy enough. They will take your paper and once your food is ready it will be placed on the pickup counter with yoir paper under. They dont call you so you have to look out for it. I usually prefer the premade options instead of making my own and I wanted something really light so I just went with the coatue salad (avocado and mozarella balls atop some greens). The salad tasted and looked very fresh and the dressing was not overwhelming or overly saturated. It was a great basic salad but a bit overpriced (per usual with DC places). I didn't try the sandwiches but my friend loves their sandwiches and frequents this place often. It was super packed at peak lunch time which my local friend tells me is the norm.

Yelp
I absolutely love Jetties. It is in my humble opinion, the best place to get a sandwich in Washington, D.C. The atmosphere is pretty casual and for the amount of customers they get, they do a great job of moving the line and getting people their food fast! My one and only complaint about Jetties is the price. I understand that they are located in a major U.S. city, but the prices are pretty inflated, especially for a casual sandwich shop. Depending on what you order, sandwich prices range from about $9-$13. The sandwiches are a good sized portion and are definitely very filling, however when you compare it to the cost of making the same sandwich at home, it hardly seems worth it. In the end, Jetties is just too good to resist. The quality of the bread matched with their perfect sandwich combinations and high quality produce is what has people coming back for more, no matter what the price. If you are visiting for the first time, my favorite vegetarian options are the 'Sconset' and the 'Pocomo.' My meat eating friends like the 'Nobadeer' and the 'Cisco.'

Yelp
I wasn't too crazy about my first jetties experience. I didn't care for any of the suggested sandwiches so I built my own: turkey, swiss, tomato, lettuce, red onion, and avocado spread on multigrain. Although it sounds delicious, it really wasn't. And somehow, the thing cost me $12! It was quite a hefty and filling sandwich but it left no memorable impression. The turkey wasn't dry but it was uber bland. I was hoping for it to have some kind of meaningful flavor. Sadly, the three things I could taste most in the sandwich were the lettuce, tomato and bread. It wasn't awful but for $12, I'll find my sandwiches elsewhere.

Yelp
This is turning out to be one of my new favorite places. I have started eating here regularly since my office relocation. I stopped in here on 12-8-2017 for lunch. The set up is interesting. Fill out a paper with your order, hand it to the guy and then pay....wait and they call you when your order is ready. The other thing: they have a frequent eater program. I love that. :) So, my favorite sandwich is the Tom Nevers ($12.45). Yes, that's the price. I add cucumber. The sandwich is BIG. Lots of meat - ham, turkey and bacon - on triple decker toasted bread, It is good and BIG. Easily enough to share with someone and you will still be filled. Fresh ingredients. Firm tomatoes. I will definitely be back, probably at least once a week. The service is quick too. Keep up the great service and food!! I will start branching out on the menu items too.

Yelp
This place gets expensive very fast. In line with many lunch places around it of course advertises "make your own" sandwich/salad options, but those easily fall into the $13-15 category even if you add just one premium item and cheese. I made the mistake twice which caused me quite a surprise at the check out. So I think it is better to stick to their offered options, which are also expensive, but not quite as much. But you will also need to study the menu quite a bit to figure out the best options for your money that taste good. Some swaps are for free - for example types of bread. In summary - I probably go here once or twice per month, I know the menu by heart and I come already knowing what I will order in advance. The quality is good and I usually have leftovers for a mid-afternoon hunger attack, but I still consider the place costly to lunch here more often.

Yelp
We checked online for hours of operation. We call to validate. Sooooooo We get to front door. It's locked Lights on. People are behind the counter. But when we try to open the door it's locked. The people behind the counter looked up but then looked back down. We knocked to the same treatment. I have to day. Very disappointed. If you say you are open. Be open. Or at least have customer service respect and acknowledge the patron. Bad customer service.

Yelp
Jetties makes good sandwiches, but really, how good can a sandwich really be? Jetties is basically a make-your-own sandwich place - you walk in, pick up a bit of paper, mark what you want from a list of either custom recipes or ingredients, hand it to a preparer behind a bar, and wait for your sandwich. To my knowledge, this isn't a Quiznos/Potbelly/Firehouse-style toasted sandwich place - this is just literally a bread-and-ingredients sort of place. I enjoyed my "Surfside," a sandwich with turkey, havarti, bacon, avocado, and whole grain mustard on sourdough. The price for it ($10) was exorbitant, but the ingredients were fresh and rather tasty, so I couldn't complain too much. I've also had their "Monomoy," which is roast beef and provolone on a sub roll with au jus dip. It was decent, but not amazing, for $9. Honestly, given the high price and the expectedness of the sandwiches, one could do just as well making equivalent sandwiches at home and packing them for lunch. There really is no magic mojo here, beyond decent recipes and fresh ingredients.
google avatar

Erica L.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and get double your value in sandwiches at Washington Deli around the corner (and no I don't work for them or even order from them that often -- it's just so much more reliable). It'll be fresher and better, and will support a local business. Jettie's is always a disappointment. Most of their sandwiches just have deli meat. The price point is high at $11-14 for a fairly standard deli sandwich. The hummus avocado carrot sandwich quickly turns to mush, the bread inseparable from the fairly tasteless hummus and avocado, and an overwhelming flavor of carrot. It's not a good sandwich. The egg salad sandwich is OK but I've had better at neighborhood delis, which add more zing to the egg salad with pepper and mustard or some other flavor. And the salads aren't mixed and impossible to mix with your chosen salad dressing so it's really just a pile of sad, sad leaves. I am not a fan. Jetties never disappoints in being disappointing for lunch.
google avatar

Miss C.

Yelp
When not f'ing up your order, their food is pretty good. But I've had to go back at least three times when they have made a mistake. Not really worth the hassle, TBH.

Liza C.

Yelp
I rarely order from the same sandwich shop twice, but I've ordered from Jettie's three times now! Love their sandwiches!
google avatar

Stephnie J.

Yelp
Just waited 20 minutes for a sandwich that was so over toasted the bread was falling apart.
google avatar

Caitlin O.

Yelp
I'm admittedly not a sandwich person (not because of diet reasons, believe me, i just dont crave sandwiches!), but I will admit that Jetties is DELICIOUS! The service was a little sassy at this location, but it was towards the end of the shift so I guess people just wanted to go home for the day. I ordered the turkey salad sandwich, which had raisins and apples i think, and it was awesome! Pro-tip: If you have the level up app you get $2 off your first visit, and if you go after 2pm there is another $2 off for 'happy hour'!
google avatar

Jacob T.

Yelp
I went here with my brother, his wife, and our parents this past weekend, and it was fantastic. There were a bunch of great salad options, but I opted for the shaved roast beef sandwich which came with au jus, and was delicious. The pricing was reasonable, it was about 60 bucks for the 5 of us with a few (non-alcoholic) drinks. It's a great place for a quick healthy lunch. There is outdoor seating with umbrellas. We got our food quickly. They also have soup and oyster crackers!
google avatar

Lisette O.

Yelp
Don't really understand why this place has such bad reviews! Probably because some people care more about service than food which is crazy to me. The food here is great! Great quality and great combinations, you can also make your own. It costs more than a few other places (like sandwich shop, pot belly) because it has better ingredients and more of a selection. If you don't like their service, than order in advance with the app and call it a day.
google avatar

Ally T.

Yelp
Great sandwich/salad place by the same folks who own Surfside, so naturally Jettie's is delicious! I'm a sucker for an Italian sub so the Quidnet is always my choice here! It's huge with a great amount of meats and veggies!! It's quickly becoming my lunch favorite in the Farragut area! The music is always good at the shop and the vibe chill, so it's a pleasant time waiting for your meal. Plus the beaches and bright colors on the wall make me feel like I'm in an island far away!
google avatar

Eduardo S.

Yelp
It's basically a fake me out Potbelly's. I can't describe how excited I was when I discovered my sandwich costs over $10 because they apparently charge $1 for cheese and a $1 for tomatoes. That was really cool. I mean, tomatoes are clearly an exotic item that should cost more. Next time I will just go to Potbelly's and get the same sandwich for half the price.
google avatar

Sharon X C.

Yelp
Sandwiches - mediocre, soup - mediocre, service - mediocre, price - wtf. Once upon a time there was this delicious Thanksgiving sub I would always get at this deli when I was in Connecticut. I was hoping the Nobadeer would be my Virginia replacement. Sadly it will not be....The turkey in this place is pretty out of this world and there was a mountain of it in my sandwich, but they ruined this by slathering on wayyy too much cranberry sauce and tasteless stuffing. To top it all off, the cashier man notified me that they were out of sourdough after I had ordered. SO SAD. I settled for multigrain, but I think it made it taste healthier aka not as good. The clam chowder was not too creamy and had nice big pieces of clam in it, but I was just not feeling it. They really need to work on their ordering system. The forms are just thrown to the side like a bunch of useless ads so the cashier man made me fill one out at the register even though I ordered a pre-ingredientized sandwich. CONFUSING. They also never notify you that your shit is ready so you end up sitting, wishing, waiting forever until you realize your sandwich has been ready for like the last 20 minutes. The cashier man also never gave me a soup cup so I wandered around by the giant soup cauldrons for a good 10 minutes trying to figure out if I should just eat it straight out of the ladle. He seemed confused when I finally asked him how to obtain soup and went through all the receipts to make sure that I did indeed order soup before giving me the damn soup cup. OKAYYY. Also, I paid like $15 for sandwich and soup which seems pretty pricey for an overall mediocre place...

Yelp
There are pros and cons to Jetties, but mostly cons. Pro: The food is hefty and edible. Though you'd expect so for their prices. Cons: Service hours? It's anybody's guess. I went over today at 6:15. They're supposed to be open until 8:30 yet they were closed. Additionally, they sometimes host fundraisers for the GW sororities and frats. On these days they will have customers wait a half hour in line and when they get to the cash register inform them the restaurant is out of turkey/white bread/etc. It's ridiculous and this happened to me multiple times. I once found a dead bug in my soda. The whole establishment has questionable cleanliness. Customer service is nil. Summary: avoid.

Yelp
OMG!!!! I loveeeee the Chicken tortilla soup. It is so flavorful and is a great price. Also the portion sizes are generous. I have not tried any of the sandwiches or salads but if they are as good a s this soup ill be in heaven. The butternut squash soup is Amazing too!!! The salad portions are uber generous too.

Yelp
Frankly, I was disappointed by Jetties downtown. I had the Steps Beach sandwich (turkey salad with golden raisins, apples, tarragon, tomato and arugula on toasted multigrain), which was okay. It didn't wow me, and the flavors were somewhat muted. For an $8 sandwich, I didn't think it was worth it. More disappointing was the seating area. There were not too many tables, and those that were there were very close together. Patrons were hovering in wait for a table to open, which doesn't make for a great dining experience. I felt like I had to rush through my meal to let others sit down. Potbelly is literally in the same block, there's more seating and the sandwiches are cheaper. Afraid I won't be back to Jetties.

Yelp
Food = delicious Service = awful! I had guests in town, so I thought I'd treat them Jetties, which I had just discovered the week before. I ordered online and went in to pick up my order. Got the bag, counted the items, and noticed they forgot the au jus for one of the sandwiches. I went back to ask, and they gave it to me but didn't apologize for forgetting it. That's okay -- pretty minor. I get home and then discover the sandwiches had missing toppings (some of which I paid extra for), and the kicker -- both salads were missing turkey! For the record, I really like their turkey, so this was sad. I emailed them to let them know and expected them to do something to make it right. Even a little extra turkey next time? Instead, weeks later (yes, weeks) they wrote me simply saying "thanks for the feedback!" Huh? Guess I should've called. What a shame. I really miss that turkey but with that service, I'm staying away.
google avatar

Scott M.

Yelp
Rude service. Place is run by college kids that could care less. Cranberry turkey sandwich was served on plain white bread slices, which fell apart because of the sloopy cranberry sauce. I could make better at home with food out of cans. The whole sandwich tasted terrible, and wasn't worth the price given how rude the employees were. The soup was broccoli cheddar, which was obviously the bottom of the Campbell's can left over from the day before. Take note- Adding water to your soup may increase its profit/$ but makes it taste like garbage. Avoid this place at all costs. Potbelly is next door and puts more care into their product than this dive.
google avatar

Yelp
This place has me sold, especially as a GW student. Some of their sandwiches are massive like a twerk team ass cheek, but all are very filling. I love creating my own too, since they offer a lot to mix up and create. Workers there are bright and peppy, and I like the Nantucket beach feel of the inside, it's something small that you can appreciate, as the theme is definitely something you won't find in other eateries in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood. I do agree their prices are a little steep, but you're paying for a quality sandwich that are consistently fresh and flavors distinguishable. If you're a GW student, you get a free fountain soda if you flash them your Gworld (don't even have to pay with it) HOLLAAAAA They're also open until 8:30 PM, so a good alternative to grabbing a dinner.

Yelp
After a long weekend, we were looking for a light-lunch before a 2.5-hour road trip back to philly. What better than a popular (and cute-looking) sandwich place? I was pretty impressed by the size of the sandwiches (I got the surfside, which was really delicious and fresh). It was ready pretty quickly, but I imagine that was because we were there at an off-hour on a Sunday afternoon... The only true downside I had with Jetties was the prices, which are a little bit steep for a sandwich. Yes, they were huge and yes, we are are in DC...but no, I do not want to pay $12 for a quick-order sandwich (or at least, throw in a drink and some chips). The service was ok -- I mean I didn't have high expectations based on the type of restaurant Jetties is, but it would be nice customer service to give a "hello" or "thank you." The sandwiches' taste and quality were great (I had a bite of my friend's thanksgiving turkey sandwich too and it was tasty). It's great that you can choose from their menu selections or make your own. Overall, Jetties is a decent place for a good sandwich (but by no means, super special), if you are willing to dish out quite a few bucks.
google avatar

Emily T.

Yelp
Best item to get here is the Nobadeer. Comes packed with ingredients and tastes like Thanksgiving awesomeness in your mouth.

Yelp
Searching down town DC for lunch is never easy task, so many choices and options. Today we stopped outside two sandwich stops split by an Indian restaurant. We decided to join a queue at Jetties, having never been here before. The queue seemed a good sign, presuming a discernible crowd of DC luncher's would appreciate a good sandwich a queue for it in their busy work lives. Sadly not. The Service was poor, if not a little rude. Prime time lunch hour, they could not offer hot sandwiches, so half the menu was not available. I ordered a beef sandwich, which was quick to come. Unfortunately it lacked any flavour at all. No seasoning at all. Granted the portions are large, which will suffice for some customers, but simply this sandwich was awful. I disposed of the second half as it did not deliver in any regard, Subway, pottbelly .. any standard chain deliver a better sandwich at a much cheaper price, usually with better service too.
google avatar

Christine S.

Yelp
Great sandwiches and salads, speedy service, one star off for the high prices. That said, they're no more expensive than everything else around here. I've had the Long Pond salad and the Smith Point sandwich - both were generously sized and their ticket order system makes it easy to ask for substitutions and additions. Definitely a solid place for lunch.

Anne K.

Yelp
This is my favorite lunch spot. The lobster rolls are delicious and fresh! Their summer veggie sandwiches are over the top sweet! Together with a friendly staff and awesome manager Roz really makes it worth the wait.

Yelp
This ish is good... Had their version of the Caesar salad which has a name I can't recall - and it was darn good-fresh sliced turkey, lots of tomatoes and generous on the croutons. The names of things are not intuitive to what things are - so take a look at the online menu before going in! I'm glad I only ordered the salad because it was huge. (like 2 people could split it and have soup on the side) I want to come back for the soups and sandwiches, all looked amazing. The bread gets toasted and they have options if you don't want this or that in your sandwich - picky eaters rejoice! Yes, its $10ish - hello DC prices, but its good. Recommend.

Yelp
Interesting, this makes the fourth review of this place and the fourth different "number of stars" review as well. I've never been to the other two Jetties locations, so this is a new experience to me. That said, I think this place rocks. Maybe it's because I tend to visit for an early dinner instead of lunch hour, but so far, I've been impressed. I've tried two different sandwiches on my two visits, and both were wonderful. The Nobadeer is my favorite to date (Thanksgiving on a sandwich: stuffing, cranberry relish, and roasted turkey on sourdough). The Surfside is also very tasty with turkey, Havarti, perfectly crisped bacon, whole grain mustard, and avocado on sourdough. The ingredients are top-notch, and why I'll continue to return. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the sandwiches are prepared quickly, but not sloppily. I will have to respectfully disagree with Eduardo S. on Jetties being a "fake me out Potbelly's." Jetties' ingredients are far superior. I'm willing to pay a few more dollars for carved meats versus cold cuts. The bread, condiments, and vegetable fix-ins at Jetties are better as well (and this is coming from a Potbelly's fan). Jetties also offers a very appealing selection of salads. I haven't tried any yet, but am looking forward to giving them due consideration. They also have cupcakes from Something Sweet available for purchase. I enjoyed the red velvet cupcake on a recent visit and plan to try the full array of flavors. I'm thrilled with this new addition to the Foggy Bottom food scene. With so many high-end restaurants, it's nice to welcome a classic, no fuss, quick service, delicious sandwich option to the neighborhood.

Yelp
I had a coworker tell me to check out Jetties for lunch because I was in the mood to get out of the same old lunch spots. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. When I walked up and saw it was a Nantucket themed sandwich shop I was estatic! It was my home away from home. Being from Massachusetts it was nice to see something to remind me of home. I was also happy to see that had a breakfast sandwich available all day as well! Of course I can eat break all day, every day. When I went outside to eat I had three people come up to me asking me what I got and said it looked good, and it was good. It was the Sankaty (scrambled eggs, bacon, muenster cheese on toasted multigrain bread). My coworker got the Nobadeer (roasted turkey, stuff, with cranberry sauce). The turkey was fresh sliced turkey and they were thick cuts. No deli turkey here! It would be 5 stars but I had to knock it down one star due to the prices and the wicked long lines! Although this will be a weekly go to lunch spot!
