Jetwing Jaffna

My visit to Jetwing Jaffna was truly satisfying. The restaurant staff were exceptionally friendly, caring, and attentive. They took wonderful care of my 3year old child and thoughtfully arranged food according to our specific needs. What made our stay even more special was the early check-in at 5 a.m., which they kindly arranged upon my request. Everything was well organized, and the team ensured we were comfortable from the moment we arrived. I also had the chance to enjoy my favorite Odiyal soup and Panangai paniyaram there ,it was absolutely awesome and brought such an authentic Jaffna taste to our experience. Thank you for the excellent hospitality ,we truly appreciated it!

My husband and I stayed at Jetwing Jaffna for two nights starting on 2 Feb 2026. We were greeted and welcomed warmly by the staff. We were taken to our rooms, which were cosy and comfortable. While holidaying in our homeland, we looked forward to typical Sri Lankan cuisine, and we were not disappointed. The dinner menu had a variety of dishes to satisfy all palates. The staff ( One name I remember as Shiraz) were very attentive and looked into our needs. All in all we had a very satisfactory stay at Jetwing Jaffna

The staff at Jetwing Jaffna were excellent—very welcoming, professional, and always willing to help. The food was also great and definitely one of the highlights of the stay. However, the room design and washrooms were quite disappointing. The bathrooms felt very compact and impractical, and the shower area was not very clean, with visible mold. Some basic details were missing as well, such as a chair for the desk, which is important for a city hotel catering to business travelers. Overall, this property feels more suitable for business stays rather than leisure. Given the Jetwing brand and reputation, I expected better attention to room design, cleanliness, and small but important details. There is definitely room for improvement.

We visited the rooftop where they have a bar, and had a great experience. The atmosphere is very nice and relaxed, making it a great place to enjoy a drink. On the second day, we went to the hotel’s restaurant and the experience was excellent. We were treated very well, with great kindness and attention from the staff. The food was outstanding, excellent quality and very well prepared. Overall, a very pleasant experience and definitely a place we would recommend.

Overall, I had a pleasant experience and enjoyed my time at the hotel. The location of the hotel is very convenient, making it easy to travel around Jaffna. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I appreciated their support whenever I needed assistance. The food was good, especially breakfast, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was comfortable and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable, which made my stay relaxing. I also liked the general cleanliness and calm environment of the hotel. There are a few small areas that could be improved, such as housekeeping consistency and adding a few more facilities for guests, but these did not greatly affect my stay. Thank you to the management and staff for the service provided. I enjoyed staying at Jetwing Jaffna and would recommend it to others visiting Jaffna

Staff and service are lovely and helpful. Check-in was very smooth and convenient. Rooms overall are ok however we found there were a lot of pigeon droppings on the balcony which did not feel very clean. Good location however to explore beautiful Jaffna from!

⭐ 3/5 – Friendly staff and great location, but management attention needed I stayed at Jetwing Jaffna recently. The staff were extremely friendly, polite, and always smiling, their warmth really made my stay pleasant. The location is also excellent and very convenient for exploring Jaffna. However, the rooms feel quite outdated and a bit crowded with furniture. There are also some health and safety concerns the rugs on the tiled floors are very slippery, and during my stay, there was a small incident (fortunately no harm done). Housekeeping standards could be improved. When I checked in, the bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned and the bedding had marks. The team tried to fix it but mentioned they were having ongoing issues with the laundry service. I was even advised to check the bedding myself when checking in, which shouldn’t be the guest’s responsibility. I completely understand the importance of giving opportunities to trainee staff, and I have nothing against that. However, the number of trainees across departments, including the restaurant, housekeeping, and front office, seems too high compared to experienced staff. This imbalance affected service quality and efficiency despite everyone’s best efforts. Overall, the staff’s friendliness and hospitality were good, but management needs to focus more on cleanliness, safety, and maintaining a better trainee-to-staff ratio to uphold Jetwing’s usual high standards.

During my stay, I experienced several highly concerning issues. First, I had two geckos in my room and had to request staff assistance to remove them. Regarding breakfast, I had initially booked a stay for five nights with breakfast included. This means that breakfast was covered on the morning of the sixth day (my checkout day). However, when I went for breakfast that morning, the staff insisted that it was not included and made me pay for it. I tried explaining that it was covered under my five-day booking, but they were adamant. To avoid further confrontation, I paid and then went to reception. The receptionist had to contact the restaurant to void the bill and correct the mistake. After that, I ended up extending my stay for an additional four days. On Monday afternoon, after a long day of work, I returned to my room to rest. While I was taking a nap, a man suddenly climbed onto my balcony to carry out painting work. I was given no prior notice. I informed the staff that I needed to rest, but instead of addressing the issue, they asked me to change rooms. Please keep in mind that I had already unpacked my belongings since I was staying for several days. I declined to move because I did not want to repack and relocate all my things again. Later, when I came out of the shower, another man was hanging outside the wall, painting right next to the sliding door.... this was after I had already informed the staff that the earlier incident was a nuisance. This situation made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. If I cannot have privacy, rest, and basic security in a hotel room that I booked and paid for, then what is the point?
