"Just a few seatings remain for dinner by candlelight on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at the St. Julien hotel — better act fast to reserve a spot for a multi-course feast of pan-seared crab cakes with guajillo mayo and cucumber relish; roasted beet salad with goat cheese, candied walnuts, and balsamic peaches in Sherry-maple vinaigrette; turkey breast and stuffed-leg roulade with potato puree and cranberry relish; and more (dinner runs $99 for adults and $49 for children ages 5 through 12)." - Ruth Tobias, Eater Staff

Wagyu burger n fries hit the spot. Tasty. The jam stuff spread was bomb! Beef cooked the way I wanted. Fresh and crispy fries. Very friendly staff. Quiet enough inside to complete a bit of work. Inside and outside tables. Decent parking at hotel plus paid and free options a couple blocks away. The hotel is near Pearl St so there are loads of things to do nearby within a hop skip and a jump.

I expected more of this restaurant. The best dishes are the appetizers. The tater tots and cinnamon rolls were delicious. Unfortunately, the eggs Benedict were served with hard-boiled eggs instead of runny eggs. The burgers were burned and dry as a bone. Not just one burger but all the burgers in our party (6 burgers) were all burned and unedible. Some us sent the burgers back to the kitchen asking to re-make them medium and not charred. 30 minutes later we got them in the same way. And the waiters did not even bother asking of they got it right this time. Our kids could not eat them and were so hungry (see picture). If the cheff can't cook something as simple as a burger and if they destroy it again after the burgers were sent back to the kitchen, they should not be trusted with anything. I would not go there again.

While staying at the St. Julien Hotel in Boulder , CO. My husband and I decided to try the hotel restaurants Jill’s breakfast . The hostess who sat us was not friendly , didn’t greet us. The initial experience didn’t feel good . It took 15 minutes before a waitress came by our table . When the runner delivered our food I was insulted as he commented on how much we ordered . In addition to bringing out the wrong item . Then had an attitude about bringing out the correct item which was waffle . The waffle was awful and tasted like bad bisque , dense and grainy . The eggs in the eggs Benedict were overcooked . The ham was burnt . The staff were not friendly and seemed to have a bad attitude . This is not a restaurant I would recommend .

I am a wedding planner and helped my clients do a buyout for their welcome dinner for all of their guests (60 people) this past weekend and was amazed by Jill's! Their service was amazing through the planning process, their tasting experience was amazing and the food and service on the day of the event was absolutely perfect! I was highly impressed by them and their attention to detail! All guests raved about the delicious food and I have happy clients! Jill's is amazing and you won't go wrong by booking them for your event!

A famous place with parking and what not. We got a nice section for a group. Hostess was good and a great collection of wine. Meats were done to perfection according to folks on my table. What I loved was the Brussels sprouts and the hummus plate. The latter had some character and some crunch. Pizza was a surprise (my east coast presumptuous behavior that you may not get good pizza anywhere else) and thin crust with toppings were delicious. Carrot cake was well made and garnished. My suggestion is if the restaurant could offer some kind of bread on the house with olive oil. Next thing, when we parked the car, no one was around when we looked around with no signs. But when we were driving out, two valets swooped up on us to tell us that car was about to be towed if we didn’t pay up parking. My question is why would nt we - they could easily find out it would be some customer. We paid and drove out.

As a local I think I've gone here once over 10 years ago. I'm going to change that. Had an amazing time having drinks and appetizers in the lobby. Atmosphere was great. Service, food and wine top notch. We were having such a great time qe stayed for dinner and went into the restaurant. Had a fabulous server and delicious food. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Came for a second time for lunch/brunch with the family on Christmas Eve. It was lovely and my dad declared that the chicken sandwich was "the best chicken sandwich" he's ever had. Can't wait to come back for dinner with my husband!

Yelp
We had a really nice dinner here before the CU/OSU game back in November. It's a great spot inside a lovely hotel and worth a stop. We had quick drinks at the bar before our table was ready (the pearl martini and negroni were great) We shared the brussel sprouts which were the best we have had in a long while. My wife enjoyed the steak and I had some beef special that was quite nice. Overall, this is a really good spot in downtown Boulder

Yelp
If you are looking for a memorable, upscale setting and wonderful dining experience for your visit to Boulder, Jill's is the place. Located at the St. Julien, hotel, the ambience swathes one in Rocky Mountain majesty. Before dinner, consider a cocktail and appetizer on the lovely shaded patio just across from the restaurant. It's more mellow than the more boisterous bar of the hotel - which also has a great vibe. (We visited in August, and they change the menu often, so some items may not be offered). For dinner at Jill's - we arrived at open, which showed a minor hiccup as they got their ovens up to operating temp and servers on the floor. However, the brief wait was more than rewarded with a crostini appetizer featuring asparagus and pepper on an aioli bed. For the main course, one of us had scallop sushi which was actually pan fried scallops with asparagus delivered on a bed of whipped mascarpone potato - the operative word here is "hedonistic"! My partner favored the fire-grilled shrimp on a polenta bed. Excellent taste there as well. Pair your entre with one of their excellent wine choices. That evening we went with a Malbec. Dessert, of course is a must. The indulgent choice for us was a black raspberry cheesecake. We are looking forward to our next Denver trip where a drive to Boulder and Jill's is clearly in the cards.

Yelp
During our stay at the St. Julien Hotel, we dined at their restaurant Jill's Restaurant & Bistro for dinner. We arrived and were seated at a private table in the back dining room. The aesthetic of Jill's was upscale and inviting characterized by warm lighting, unique artwork, and colorful vases. We loved how our table was separated from the others by partitions which added a touch of intimacy & romance. One of the highlights of our dining experience was the impeccable service provided by our waitress, Jennifer. Her genuine warmth and attentiveness made us feel right at home. Jennifer's knowledge of the menu, her willingness to make recommendations, and her dedication to ensuring our satisfaction added an extra layer of enjoyment to our evening For cocktails I had the Paloma made with Herradura Blanco tequila, Giffard pamplemousse liquor, lime, & grapefruit soda. The Paloma was a refreshing grapefruit drink with tart grapefruit & lime accents. For Zero Proof Cocktails we tried the Canyon made with Pineapple, Orange & Cranberry Juice, and Raspberry. This was a fabulous rich bodied fruit mocktail that was pineapple forward. For Salad we split the Grilled Pesto Caesar made with toasted pine nuts, pecorino, piquillo peppers & crostini. "This is the best Ceasar I have ever had" was the first thing Ross said after his first bite. The creamy pesto Caesar dressing generously coated the salad which was deliciously cheesy, garlicky & herbaceous, brimming with pine nuts and zingy piquillo peppers. A must order at Jill's (make sure to ask for extra dressing, cheese, and piquillo peppers)! For Starters we had the Camaron Frito, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, and the Garlic Fries. The Camaron Frito was made with crispy fried shrimp, corn relish, pickled red chili mayo, lime & cilantro. The shrimp had crunchy golden exteriors and hearty, juicy interiors. The corn relish & pickled red chili mayo added acidity and a spicy kick to the shrimp. The Crispy Brussels Sprouts were tossed in Beesquared local honey, sea salt & chili flake. The brussels sprouts were amazing - they were light and had perfectly crisped leaves. The Beesquared honey coated the sprouts in sticky sweetness and the chili flake added subtle heat. For Main Courses we had the Pan Seared Verlasso Salmon & the Wagyu Top Sirloin special. The Pan Seared Verlasso Salmon was made with teriyaki glaze, sesame pea shoots & yuzu aioli. The salmon was piping hot and had a flaky texture that fell into succulent bites. The teriyaki glaze added a savory and slightly sweet component to the fish. I loved dipping the salmon in the creamy & tangy yuzu aioli. The Wagyu Top Sirloin special was paired with diver scallops, local jalapeño & Tillamook cheddar elk sausage, and grilled German potato salad. The sirloin had a supremely tender and juicy bite with intense red meat flavor. The elk sausage had a savory and robust taste that brought additional depth and complexity to the special. To finish our dinner, I enjoyed a glass of Chardonnay & Ross had hot tea. What a meal! We loved dinner so much, we went back to Jill's another two times during our stay at the St Julien.

Yelp
We were very disappointed in this high end hotel restaurant. The pros were that their champagne was great as was the tomato soup/ grilled cheese sandwich. I got the Caesar Salad and it was so close to being good but it was just too clumpy with dressing. We got a dessert and I swear the whipped cream on top of the sundae was either very old or not real whipped cream, and it should be very good and very real in a place like this! And the ice cream all tasted cheap. For breakfast, the toast was actually very good But nothing else was worth the price. Our service for both meals was extremely slow. It was not ambience, it was slow. I hope they improve bc their space is gorgeous and they've got the clientele.

Yelp
What can I say? We both got food poisoning. It was awful. Also, the menu is NOTHING like what they posted. I went expecting the vegan options I see here - no, the only vegan options are salad. Maybe at night they offer something different. This was expensive and got food poisoning. Ugh.

Yelp
I went to the $110 per person Christmas buffet yesterday expecting ( and certainly hoping) to fine a wide variety of food and maybe a beverage or two What I found was probably the most boring and uneventful dining experience I've ever had. First of all the only adult beverage they had were mimosa and bloody Mary's. Neither of which I like at all. I asked if I could go to the bar and get a beverage and I was told "no" They didn't even have espresso although I passed by a delicious smelling coffee bar on my way to the table. But it wasn't available nor was I allowed to go to the bar to purchase one myself. (That's what I was told when I asked) Second, the buffet ad stated prime rib and king crab legs. The prime rib was the size of a loaf of bread and they had NO rare pieces The "king" crab were just 2-3inch pieces ( mostly the knuckles) and were very fishy. No giant crab legs like you would expect when they advertise king crab legs They had 2 "salad" options neither of which had anything except lettuce. Literally just kale or field greens. No veggies no croutons. Nothing. They had NO bread. None. ( croissants at the omelet station). Yet they had a bruschetta, no bread under it, no bread near it. Nothing. No cheeses, 1 soup ( seafood chowder) also very fishy. They offered one seafood pasta ( shrimp and crab) it was mushy, cold and again, fishy. They had 1 potato option - cold mashed potatoes and on that note everything was cold, including the service!! We had no interaction with anyone, got water refilled once and that was it. They had 1 vegetable option. Just 1. A ratatouille sorts. Dessert came straight from SYSCO box of assorted small cakes and cookies. The ambiance was just a hotel convention room with tacky table numbers on a metal stand in the middle of the table. For a 4 star hotel that charges $400 per night minimum. This was a joke and waste of my money.

Yelp
While staying at the St. Julian Hotel, we had 3 meals at Jill's. Each was excellent, with great service. We ordered the homemade corned beef hash, a breakfast burrito, avocado toast, a wood fired pizza, French Onions soup, Parker house rolls, and a wonderful chopped salad topped with Salmon. Each dish was exceptional! It is a very popular spot, with bustling night time crowds! I suggest reservations.

Yelp
We had a family gathering for brunch at Jill's and were delighted with the quality of the food, the service, and the ambience. Philippe, the general manager made sure that everything exceeded our expectations. I had the corned beef hash, which was some of the best I have ever eaten. Other family members had pancakes, French toast, egg dishes, flatbread, and biscuits and gravy. All were excellent. Located in the best hotel in Boulder, I expected the prices to be high, and was pleasantly surprised when they were average with other restaurants.

Yelp
Food had flavor but did not come out hot. Service was slow. There was food splattered on the wall we were sitting against. Eggs Benedict t came out and the eggs slid off the Benedict. We sat down and the setting with cups and cutlery was incomplete and was never really taken care of. We ordered a latte and it never came. Service was not good at all. Then while we were wrapping up someone came in and started taking down decorations?

Yelp
Outstanding food and service. It's so good we go a couple of times a month. We have never had any issues with the food and service.
google avatar

Tammy S.

Yelp
While we only had late night drinks, they were beautiful, balanced, and interesting. I had the blood orange paloma which was a refreshing change from the regular grapefruit juice. The service was friendly, and we weren't rushed even at the last call. I will remember this place for a quiet yet nice place to bring a friend for a drink.

Yelp
Pretty darn delicious. Great attentive service and a lot of good menu choices. Nice atmosphere inside, but, I have gone in the past and sat outside in the patio. We had the tots, which were mashed potato cubes with a light breading and a lovely cream sauce. The brussel sprouts were charred and seasoned with balsamic and granola. Warm olives - what can I say? Always tasty. Steak frites and a small salad, was a perfect entree. Also, had the Moroccan vegetables with lamb. Lots of veggies that had a slightly spicy tang to them. Caramelized and served with lentils, would have been super good alone without the lamb too.

Yelp
Food & service at this establishment was impeccable. Thank you to Anna for making our evening even more memorable.

Yelp
Very posh relaxed elegant space. The food is superb, fresh creative. I ordered too much and wanted to taste everything on the menu. The wine list is diverse and well-priced. Jennifer provided excellent and gracious service! Many great places to eat in the area, and this is one of them!

Amelia P.

Yelp
I set up a last-minute business lunch for 25 people, and the General Manager and Sr Catering Manager both went out of their way to make sure the reservation was booked and all of my questions were answered promptly. The lunch went off without a hitch, and the food was incredible.

Yelp
The review is strictly on the vegan buffet now every first Friday of the month since reopening after Covid. I won't compare to the earlier vegan buffet because that was a 10 out of 5 stars. The salads were good but it vinegary dressing is not your thing, you might be disappointed. The only soup, a bean soup was good but if beans are not your thing, you're out of luck. The entrees of falafel, baked tofu and creamy pasta dish were good. Two desserts, one a mousse was good but the mini cup cakes were dry. I think over all the buffet was okay, but the $28 price tag would lead me to believe it should have been more in tune with the old buffet. Perhaps it will evolve over time? Maybe. Time will tell. Until then one can only hope.

Yelp
I think my expectations may have been too high. I made certain assumptions based on the location and previous ratings, and I was disappointed. I wanted to take my Mom to a special dinner near shopping and picked Jill's. The hostess seemed like she was very inconvenienced by our arrival, asking if we had a reservation like she assumed we couldn't possibly have one (we did). There were only two other parties in the entire restaurant, so it wasn't like it was a stressful, busy time. The table service was only slightly better. We were sitting for almost 10 min in a basically empty restaurant before a server, who wasn't even our server, came over to check on us. It was several minutes before our assigned server came over, and he was pretty good for the rest of the meal. The food was hit or miss. The appetizer was tasty and my Mom loved her meal, but mine was underwhelming. I see there have been other recent reviews that concur the experience is hit-or-miss. Set your expectations accordingly, and hopefully your experience will be a "hit".

Yelp
A group of us came here on a Saturday night to celebrate a couple of birthdays. The ambience was nice and we had what was kind of a semi private area with a long table which was nice. They surprised us with birthday desserts which is always appreciated.
google avatar

Tova B.

Yelp
great experience here tonight! some rude vibes from the hostess but other than that our waiter was awesome. we had the jill's tots which are a classic. i could eat the aioli sauce by the bucket. also had some crispy brussels sprouts - i personally wish they were a bit more crispy but i just like them burnt . still a delicious sauce on it! for my entree i had the salmon and it had a really nice crispy edge to it. the fried rice was good too, nothing out standing but still yummy. i really loved the salmon though. also had the beet salad which was super refreshing!

Scott S.

Yelp
Waiter wouldn't separate checks like we wanted for our group. Wanted to order dessert, waited another half an hour after our dinner plates were picked up and gave up. Then they wanted to add a 20% gratuity because our group was larger than 6. Refused to pay the gratuity because the service did not deserve it.

Michael K.

Yelp
bruhhhh goofy ahhhhh rest er aunt, i shitted in the bathroom and stunk it up. could smell that shit from my table. the food was like 30 bucks and i would have rather eaten at taco smell instead. service was good tho.
google avatar

Heidi F.

Yelp
Jill's gets five stars from me for service, atmosphere, food, food quality, menu choices, and seat spacing. It was on the high end of expensive and I did not even have alcohol. Be prepared to put out some money here. It's worth it. My food was excellent.
google avatar

Ellen M.

Yelp
We enjoyed brunch very much. Corned beef hash and eggs over easy with crispy bacon were both yummy. Very friendly staff. There's a bistro room and a quieter, more upscale dining room--so two different vibes to choose from. I highly recommend it!
google avatar

Steve A.

Yelp
The service here is abhorrent. I placed an order online one night for dinner, was told I'd receive a followup email when my dinner was ready. Email never came, so when I called Jill's they said their "systems" were down, no apology or anything. I asked if I could place the order over the phone instead and they said "no, our kitchen is pretty slammed right now". lol what? I had already paid too lol. Unfortunately, this is another occurrence in a long line of horrible service there. I was staying at the St. Julien a few months back, went down for breakfast one morning and was told the kitchen closed in 25 minutes so they couldn't seat me, despite the restaurant being 85% full?? Are the other 50 ppl sitting there eating not allow to ask for a little morsel of bacon or a cup of OJ once the clock strikes 11? this is a logistics nightmare. The next morning I went back an hour earlier and asked to sit outside, they told me to find a seat out there myself, so I did. I left 15 mins later after multiple waitstaff walked by me without even acknowledging me.
google avatar

Lily S.

Yelp
We were a group of 10 visiting from Florida. We had no reservations and were accommodated very quickly. Our dinner and dessert were excellent. Located in the Julien Hotel. Steps from Pearl street.
google avatar

James R.

Yelp
Quality of vegan and vegetarian good choices feel comfortable to eat. General of these foods is impressive on a special day weekly. It was very special for us on Valentine Day. Love these foods very satisfying
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
Medicore all around. They renovated it but still kinda sucks. The bar is 2 stars due to very loud music playing over speakers and loud music coming from lobby which bleeds into bar. The main restaurant is 3.5 stars I guess. Decent burger and okay wine list.
google avatar

Connie S.

Yelp
I just left the restaurant after the nicest dinning experience I could have imagined. I reluctantly went to dinner on my own. My partner travels a lot for his job and he has been out of town the majority of the last five weeks. He encouraged me and I finally went. Talia was my waitress. She looks young but this little lady has the corner on all parts of service. She is friendly, knowledgeable and very conscientious! As a Service Manager for many decades Talia is a prize worth appreciating! Phillipe was excellent also. He had a very comfortable control of his dining area and guests. In my opinion he was perfect in his position. Now for the food! I came tonight to try the Vegan Menu they have on Monday evenings. The first course was full of flavor. I wanted to finish my mango salsa but I still had three course to go. I can't wait to have it tomorrow! The second course was a stacked salad with an amazing vinaigrette! Just the right amount of spice. It was so good. The third course was an eggplant roulade. It was good but it was flanked by the salad and the dessert!! It didn't stand a chance. I do not get dessert that often. To be served three churros on a light raspberry purée and a cup of fudge sickle sorbet! Oh my gosh, I was in heaven. Jill's you have an amazing staff. The kitchen who created my dinner and front staff who served it. I applause you for finding these people. Thank you all for a very great evening.
google avatar

Mercy H.

Yelp
The service was awful. We had to ask 4 different people for water. Our server Ciara was on cloud 9. Seriously the worst service ever. The Bloody Mary bar is not worth $22. We will not return to this place. The food was greasy and subpar.
google avatar

Miss J.

Yelp
When it's good here it's really good. However I have had sub par experiences here from time to time so it's hit or miss and I haven't gone here as regularly as I use to. I came in for breakfast one morning and the waiter was in a bad mood his shirt was dirty and he was disheveled. The espresso he tried to serve me was lukewarm and the food took forever and arrived cold when it finally came out. He argued with me that there was nothing wrong with the food or espresso so we cancelled the whole order and left and went to a nearby Starbucks that gave a better presentation on food and coffee than here at Jill's. This is an expensive high end restaurant but sometimes they lack and I feel like I'm in a dive. I've brought my concerns to their snooty manager who just responded with excuses as to how great his waiter is and he will show me next time what they are made of, however offered no resolution to the current visit. I've found that dinner is better than breakfast or lunch and lately the place seems empty so there's obviously some problems here. Maybe get a new manager. This place needs consistency with good service and food.
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
I am a guest in the hotel and was ignored for 10 minutes at the coffee counter. They were obviously busy and it's Covid, but I was being obviously avoided. When I spoke up, I was offer the excuse of "we just got 35 orders at one time". This isn't surprising to me. It's a hotel, it's Sunday morning and it's graduation weekend. If someone had said anything to me within that 10 mins, this would be a much different review. Update: I stopped at the concierge and explained my experience and she went to the coffee bar and brought back a latte.
google avatar

June S.

Yelp
Downtown Boulder has good mount of dining options, and if you are looking for an upscale dining, you can find one inside St. Julien Hotel & Spa. The restaurant had 3 sections or rooms, the first one was the bar and high tables, the middle middle room was the largest, with kitchen and large tables, and the last room had booth seating with some more table seating as well. We sat in the middle room, the largest, at the around table by the window. It was quite a beautiful room. The drink selection was great, I had one of their special cocktails which was amazing, and a bottle of wine which was very high quality. The food was pretty good also, not large portion but good, solid dishes. Our server was extremely nice, friendly, accommodating and polite. But, it was a very slow service. We were not in rush, but still, it was slow. And the fact that we didn't get any tea spoon or sugar for our coffee was a no-no. Since we couldn't locate her or any staff, we used left over fork or knife to stir our coffee/cappuccino...

Amy R.

Yelp
Here on a Friday night with 6 at 7pm, we were seated immediately without a reservation. We had left another restaurant because of the sound level, and this was much better! I would not call it quiet, but not too difficult to hear the conversation, either. My husband and I split a dinner Caesar salad which they made a cute production of making the dressing at the table; we also split the steak which came with hand cut fries and roasted vegetables. (They brought everything out already divided which was a nice surprise!) The steak was perfect! Everyone's choices looked great. Although not hungry, we got a really nice chocolate torte. PS the hotel lobby was totally packed and hopping! It had music and was quite loud! I hear they have a good happy hour- but the nice thing was that the restaurant was separate! I'd say to try this pretty place for a nice night out.
google avatar

Jessica A.

Yelp
Amazing service and food. End of story. We had the Bloody Mary bar, shrimp and grits, and tots. I love that they have a separate kids menu and it offers a lot for kids!

J K.

Yelp
Mother's Day 2022... The Hotel was beautiful and I was anticipating a very nice meal with my family - however instead of checking with me on my reservation they just assumed I wanted the buffet and sat us in the ballroom which looked like any convention center - it was not an intimate dining experience at all - not what I wanted. The service wasn't horrible, but the attitude from the staff was one of 'I can't believe I'm working a buffet'! We were apparently the first seating of the second seating service and the food was a remainder from the previous service - the taste was ok but nothing was hot and the Eggs Benedict was so hard you couldn't cut through it even with a knife! When we decided to revisit the food stations the staff took our used place setting (good) but we had to wait and ask for replacement cutlery - and then they only gave a fork! We had to ask again for knives. It felt like they kept trying to push us out - taking our coffee cups and not bringing fresh, barely a refill on water. For $85/plate this felt more violating to me than paying taxes! I would have - I will not do this again at this restaurant.

Yelp
Vegan Monday here is unbeatable. The best vegan premium meal in Colorado and it is only $30. Don't believe me, look at the pictures. We will be back.

Yelp
Went for Sunday brunch on a recommendation. Some Of the food was good, but nothing was great. The big issue, however, was that the service was awful. We were at the table for 5 full minutes before getting water. I had one bottomless mimosa since they never offered refills. We had to ask for water for the kids 3 times before we got it. Plates from the buffet piled up on the table before I finally asked them to send a busser. Finally, no one ever asked how anything was. If I was the St. Julien hotel, I would look to replace this restaurant before it damages their brand.

Yelp
The food, the atmosphere and the waiter, JT, was fantastic! We would definitely recommend this restaurant. We also arrived a bit lit in the evening, but they still accommodated us and did not rush us whatsoever. 5 stars for this restaurant

Yelp
Tonight half of the restaurant was booked and our reservation put us in the bistro side of the restaurant. The table top was way too small for any partly larger than 2 even though they have 4 chairs. The service was solid, 4 stars. The food was was nothing special especially based on the price. $27 for salmon over a bed of organic quinoa (which tasted like water) and seasonal veg. The side Cesar salad was good, probably the best thing that I ate. There are so many great places to eat in Boulder. I think that Jill's is just average especially at this price point. What did I learn today? Escargot tastes of grass and notes of compost and dirt. Not my fav.

Yelp
Went here as recommended by sweet simple vegan and the happy cow app. Ordered a salad with candied brazil nuts and crispy brussels and some hummus with pita bread. My daughter ordered the black bean burger. Everything tasted fine and was served hot. Service was friendly and helpful. It was okay food for a non vegan restaurant. I waa a littlw confused about why some of the menu items that contained cheese were labeled as vegan but i just asked for them to be without cheese. I probably wouldnt go back here since it cost us $75 for a lunch for 3 people.

Yelp
This was a few years ago but the chef needs to teach their staff how to saute shrimp. Cooked and served table side, it was under cooked and bland. Jill's being in such a beautiful hotel, I had hope it's restaurant would be exceptional. I was with six other diners, nothing stood out as being beyond average. I don't plan to go back, truly disappointing.

Yelp
Was at Jill's tonight for Thanksgiving dinner. Food was excellent and the people that work at Jills were so nice. And not the typical stiff, cold, all business, type staff that one may assume works there. So attentive and genuinely wanted you to enjoy your time. The young woman seating us at the host stand, our server Marta, and all the support staff, service was great. Was our first time in 20 years not to host dinner at our home so the family feel was important. Dinner was fantastic and for once a nice restaurant had a really good beer list ( how hard is that?) My one suggestion would be to provide some rolls/bread with dinner. Seemed odd that a Thanksgiving dinner would not have that. Otherwise it was great. One last note, a had 3 people in my pArty with dietary restrictions. Gluten and dairy. Marta was completely on top of that. Greatly appreciated.

Yelp
We dined here over Valentines weekend and I was excited as their prefix menu looked delicious. Unfortunately food was mediocre at best. Nothing we ate in the restaurant seemed very fresh and flavors were bland. We got two different mixed drinks from the bar and both were drinkable, but far from good. The server was kind, but spread way too thin. It took 20 minutes to get more water sitting there with empty water and drink glasses. I understand they just opened back up to 50% capacity, which is why I was shocked to see only 2 servers trying to hold it down alone over valentines weekend. I would have given Jills 1 star based on the food and drink quality, but had to give them 2 stars for the server team effort.

Yelp
I realize I am way overdue for an update, after visiting Jill's for brunch and Happy hour a few times over the last few years. And especially since I had a very nice experience during my last visit with a few friends. We decided to have Happy hour on a Friday night, and noticed that the menu had changed. We shared a few small plates, all of them very good: Pesto Roasted Cauliflower (came in a big chunk to cut, very flavorful), Steamed Prince Edward Island Mussels, Mushroom Pizza and Poutine. The portions were reasonable and even the Poutine (which can be a big mess of soggy fries swimming in watery gravy) was yummy with the right amount of cheese (not sure it was the real curds though) and thick gravy. We ended with a Tiramisu (not on the Happy hour menu, as expected), pretty and delicious. The $7 cocktails are definitively worth it and you even get a selection of 5 different ones. On Fridays, the lobby can be very loud with the band and dancers. It makes for a lively and fun atmosphere, but not quite the place to go to if you want to talk and relax with friends. Now, I'd love to try Jill's lunch buffet!

Yelp
Overall, it was ok. Service was fair, wine list is great, food was ok. Food was plain tasting. Coffee machine was broken. With a wine list like that the servers need to be better trained in serving the wine. Spent $350 for 4 people and walked away with just a fair experience.

Yelp
Food was great, service is very friendly but slow in the morning & evening. If you aren't in a hurry to eat I recommend this restaurant. It's very clean and has a great atmosphere.

Yelp
Jill's is an amazing place to grab dinner and drinks in Boulder. JT was an amazing server who is super accommodating and kind. The food is amazing - especially the Brussels sprouts! Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options as well!!

Yelp
After researching many brunch spots in Boulder for Mother's Day, I finally decided on Jill's Restaurant, which is located in the beautiful St. Julien hotel. Things have just started opening back up, and I'm thinking they may have been short-staffed as we were told they're running behind schedule. That didn't seem the case as the service was great, the food delicious, and the company even better. Would love to make this a yearly tradition with me mom.
