One of the best Jajangmyeon I've ever had!Jajangmyeon is a Korean-Chinese dish of thick noodles covered in a rich, fermented black bean sauce and served with vegetables and pork. The savory, salty, and slightly sweet dish is a cultural icon in Korea, often associated with childhood memories and special occasions. The noodles are made fresh which makes it extra special. The Chicken in Spicy Garlic sauce is a perfect accompaniment with it's tangy crunchy chewy spicy taste! This is the type of place that will be your go to for Korean Chinese dishes! Nothing fancy on inside but super clean and super friendly staff!

Extra plus was they came with directions on how to prepare them should they get cold- I had several stops before I got them home so this extra plug was highly appreciated! I tossed some broccolini and shrimp in them- I Probably could've ordered them like that but I didn't think about it till I got home.

This restaurant has the best jajangmyun “Black Bean Noodle” in the area. You will not be disappointed if you’re craving for jajangmyun. The foods were very authentic and were absolutely delicious! This is a family-owned by Korean husband and wife which I appreciate for Mom-and-Pop small restaurant. The owners were super nice and provided excellent service there. This place just got remodeled few years ago. It looks bright and clean now. You must try their sweet & sour pork and shrimp! Quick tips: Make sure you get the “Special” Black Bean Noodle for additional cost and thanks me later! It is totally worth the extra. There are many parking spots available as well as under ground parking.

Place was small but not that busy. Went in for a lunch around noon. Food came relativity quick. Got the black bean noodle combo with sweet and sour pork and it fed two people. Not bad, recommend for others to try.

This small cozy restaurant has a friendly feel. Their jjampong or seafood noodle actually has crab in it which gives it the true flavor. They are a Korean Chinese restaurant and has most of the typical dishes. They also have size choices on entrees which not every place does. For example you usually have to order a family sized tangsuyuk but here they allow for a smaller portion. They are in a shopping center and at some hours parking might be tight but there's also an underground parking conveniently right below. The owner seems nice so help a small business.

Came here because this restaurant had good reviews and I was craving black bean noodles, and it did not disappoint! We were seated immediately and the service was super quick. We got the Sweet and Sour Pork and the Black Bean Noodles. Sweet and Sour Pork - HUGE portion!!! We got the large and it was so much food. As people who eat a LOT, we could not finish it. There was a lot of breading on the pork, but also a good amount of pork too. The sauce was delicious. The hint of sour cut the fat from the fried pork. Special Black Bean Noodle - My husband loved the texture of these noodles. They were very light and delicious. I just wish there was more seafood since there wasn't a lot at all. Overall, definitely would come back here!! So delicious and BIG portions!

Delicious, unassuming gem, with wonderfully warm and hospitable service. The noodles were fresh and soft in both the spicy seafood soup and jiang jiang noodles. Flavors were fantastic, and portion sizes were very large and hearty. The dishes are certainly more carb heavy with a smaller amount of protein. Very reasonable and fair prices. Overall there is a somewhat more limited menu without too many standalone protein dishes (I believe there is a fried chicken dish that seems popular that is often paired with the noodles). Service was fantastic with the kindest servers and workers. Very clean restaurant interior, though it seemed that there were many more take out orders during the evening that we dined in.

Such a humble, simple, brightly lit little spot with the best janjangmyeon I've ever had. It wasn't crowded at 6pm on a Thursday, we were greeted immediately, the friendly lady answered all questions we had. The special janjangmyeon was amazing! I can't stop thinking about it. Noodles are chewy, sauce, veggies, pork are so flavorful, fresh and overall plentiful. The regular janjangmyeon was a bit too sweet for me. Crispy sweet and sour pork was so good and paired so well with the janjangmyeon. I liked how the sauce was on the side because I really didn't need the sauce, but was good to have with every so many bites. Steamed Dumplings were also great, as well as the pickled radish and fresh onions. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back!

Excellent quality food. Actually tasted the "fire" in the black bean sauce and the fried rice. We read and also saw in Korean style Chinese cooking that getting the wok to perfect temperature to give off the taste of the flame/smoke without burning any ingredients is difficult. They have combo menu items with noodle and 1/2 serving of Sweet&sour pork or other entree items which is perfect for single or double diners. Noodle was chewy, not over cooked and mushy. We'll be driving to Gardena instead of to slowest. Yum! Gentleman who was taking orders was very nice and attentive. We prefer him over the lady we dealt with on our first visit. Recommending!

It was my first time here and was very happy with my visit! My mom and I shared the black bean noodle, sweet and sour pork, and chicken fried rice. Our favorite was the sweet and sour pork. It was lightly fried and the sauce was separate so it could stay crispy! The fried rice was also delicious, but the portion was a little small. The lady working was super sweet and came to check in on us often. Parking was easy as it's located in a plaza with both above ground and underground parking. Would definitely recommend this place if you're in the mood for some yummy Korean/Chinese food!

I've heard so many great things about Jin JJa Roo as the best Chinese food in Orange County, and it definitely lives up to the hype! This is one of the cleanest and friendliest restaurants I've ever been to. You can tell the owners put so much effort into both the service and the food. Everything I tried was solid, and I can't wait to come back to try everything on the menu!

I can't believe I haven't left a review for this restaurant yet! I've been going here for so long because their Korean/Chinese food is the BEST! I like to order the jjampong (spicy seafood noodle soup) , jjajamyeon (black bean noodle), and tang suyuk (sweet and sour pork) - it's SO hard to pick only 1 to order because they're equally delicious. You can order to go or dine-in to enjoy the comfy, authentic vibes. The ladies that work here are so friendly and welcoming , it feels like eating at home . I would highly recommend because it is my favorite Korean/Chinese food for the best taste and great value!

Great food (not overly seasoned just right) and great service here. The noodle texture was just perfect and chewy. Didn't have to wait long for the food either. This place was recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. Heard man next to me devouring the black bean noodle as well lol!

I really enjoyed their black bean noodles! The noodles in particular were perfectly cooked. They were the highlight of the meal for me. The sauce is not overpowering (i.e. too salty), but has good flavor. I also ordered the beef chow mein, which again has a more subtle and less greasy taste than other places. Finally, the dumplings were crispy, hot, and delicious. It was a great lunch.

I'm gonna be completely honest with my review. The service, amazing, the older gentleman working the front was so kind and attentive. There was barely anyone at the restaurant when I went but tables filled up fast. You can tell this is a beloved spot. The only reason this place got 3 stars is because I don't think I like jjangmyeon which is mainly what they serve here. I just came back from a trip to Korea and regret not trying the jjangmyeon. I was in the area so I thought I'd try this place out. The noodles were hard to grab and eat, the sauce felt too thick and I couldn't understand the flavor profile. Was it sweet? Salty? And all the onions and other items inside sunk to the bottom so you had to keep moving the noodles to get the good stuff which was an arm workout in and of itself. Overall, I prolly won't be trying jjangmyeon after this. Once was enough.

I got the stir-fried spicy seafood noodles and they were so good. The noodles had a nice chew, and there was a good amount of shrimp and squid mixed in. It's got some real heat, so if you like spicy, you'll love this. They give you a little black sauce on the side that adds this smoky flavor... definitely use it. Super tasty and really hit the spot.

Jin Jan Roo has the best jjajangmyun in LA!!! They have great service and great prices too. Highly recommend!!!

I wanna say the best chinese korean restaurant in south bay, the server lady is very fast and kind. their food is always good.

I haven't been to this restaurant for a long time because I totally forgot about it. But my husband and I wanted to eat some jjajjangmyun and jjampong and we decided to go to jinjaroo in Gardena. The restaurant expanded in size, it was a welcoming surprise. The lady working there was nice and recommened what was popular there. We tried couple of combo meals. Jjajjangmyun with dumplings and jjampong with tangsooyuk. They serve large portions and we were not able to finish all and we both eat a lot. The jjajjangmyun tasted divine! Lots of onions and meat in the sauce, the noodles were the right consistency, not too soft and not too hard. The jjampong soup was delicious as well. You can choose the spicy level for the soup. Lots of seafood inside as well. The atmosphere was bright and open. I will be going back soon for some more noodles.

Ordered the Black Bean noodles to go. There are tables and seating for about 20-30 people. Food was ready quite quickly and served in a box with noodles, black bean sauce, onions, pickled radish and little bit of hot sauce all in separate containers. Portions for both the noodles and black sauce was more than expected, so be hungry unless you're sharing the noodles and other stuff with someone. Restaurant is in a strip mall, so more like a Korean fast food restaurant. Probably a good place for a quick casual meal.

Ordered jjajangmeoyn and jjangbbong. The jjajangmeoyn was good. Noodles had great consistency. The sauce was slightly too watery in my opinion. Pork was minimal. The jjangbbong was solid. Soup was very tasty. Also ordered deep fried pork mandoo, (dumplings). It was 3/5. Cozy dining area, not too many tables. Service was good. Parking is also available underground. Lots of stores in this little strip mall.

TL/DR: good Chinese style Korean food. Would try again. My first time at a Chinese-Korean restaurant. It was a great experience, trying to find other countries version of Chinese food. My Korean friend took me here. The noodles were good. And the spicy seafood style soup was great. The sweet and sour pork thing didn't really vibe with me, but the dumplings were great. I would go back to try some other dishes, it's interesting to see your own food with different interpretations.

Food was very clean and exactly what I wanted. One of us got the jjajangmyun, and I got the jjampong/ tangsuyuk combo and it was great portions for the price. I think the owner was the one taking orders but she was friendly and super nice. Chill ambiance, service was fast, waiter doesn't bother you, smallish space so very chill vibe.

This is a great hole-in-the-wall spot with authentic food, not too busy, and decent parking. We ordered the black bean noodles, spicy seafood noodle soup, and fried pork. The noodles in both dishes had a great texture, just the right elasticity, and a good mouthful. The black bean noodles weren't too salty, with a meaty, savory sauce that had nice umami. The spicy seafood noodle soup was flavorful with a good kick of spice. Some seafood bits were a little chewy, but the broth was solid. The fried pork was lightly fried, sweet, and paired well with the sauce. The sides (pickled daikon and onion) were fine and worked with the meal. Service was good, nothing to complain about. You pay at the counter. Value-wise, we'd give it a 4/5. Portions were big, but it was a bit much for two people, and we couldn't finish everything. Total was around $50, tax and tip included.

A go-to family owned location with traditional Korean food. It does feel like a hole in the wall type place. The jjangmyun is a must paired with the crispy pork is my go-to. We also go to orders here a lot, and they are very calculating when packing the food. They separate the noodles out and add instructions to the lids so the food is still like the restaurant when you eat it :) The service is always kind and attentive. My husband is korean, so they always talk a bit and have good conversations. I'll definitely be adding pics later as I always forget to take any because I'm hungry and I know this food is delicious haha

Clean, old school, Korean restaurant in Gardena that specializes in ja jang myun, Tangsuyuk, champong, and othe Chinese Korean dishes. We got here a little before noon and we're seated quickly. We ordered one large Tangsuyuk, 3 ja jang myun, and one champong. The food was enough to feed 6 to 8 people and there were only 4 of us. We finished the jajang myun, but there was plenty of champong and Tangsuyuk to take home. The food was tasty, and we all left stuffed. The large Tangsuyuk was 4x the size of other restaurants. By the time we left, there was a line of locals waiting to be seated.

When half of the menu is written in Korean, you know you're at an authentic restaurant. One slurp of the zha jiang mian, you know you've come to the right place. The specialty of this restaurant is clearly the zha jiang mian, as every single patron who came in ordered it, myself included. Even as I wrapped up my morning clinic from across the street at Kaiser Permanente, I heard the noodle calling my name. The noodle did not let me down, and the sauce was as tasty as I dreamed. The large bowl of noodle was served with pickled daikon and raw onion, and both condiments complemented the richness of the sauce well. I had to go easy on the onion, for the sake of my patients in the afternoon. Service was efficient if not overly friendly. Parking was not an issue in this shopping center, at least not around noon on a weekday. Get your JJM fix here. You'll only regret it if you don't come.

Arrived around 1pm. The front parking lot is for 20-30min parking. They also have underground garage parking but if you don't like going underground then there is a parking lot in the back as well that would fit 10+ cars. There were plenty of spots there so we parked in the back. We wanted to eat the Jjajangmyun (black bean noodle), Jjamppong (spicy sea food noodle soup) and the tangsuyook (sweet and sour pork). So we got 2 combos: #47 and #58. That way between the two of us, we could try 4 different items. The lady was super kind and split our noodles into two smaller bowls so we both had our own! It was a full table. The Jjajangmyun is on the sweet side and not the salty side. Jjamppong was spicy but not salty. Tangsuyook was crispy but didn't have too much batter (which I like) and the dipping sauce was sweet as they usually are. The sides they give are the raw onions which you could pour over some vinegar that is on the table and dip it in the black dipping sauce (this is really salty so you only dip a tip), and the pickled yellow radish. The radish goes really well with the Jjajangmyun so top it on your noodles and enjoy! Overall, I liked how the food here were not salty and didn't leave me with any weird after taste. The restaurant was on the small side but had a homey feeling and enough tables even for a larger group (8 at the same table maybe). They had a clean bathroom as well in the back. Very nice staff! ** they do charge $0.50 per togo box. So if you are taking your left over just keep that in mind. We didn't know until after we left but maybe it is an LA thing?

Black bean noodles: delicious, saucy, stellar with a bite of raw onion or radish Spicy seafood soup: A nice burn at the back of your throat, the sip is perfect after a bite of the black bean noodles and sweet and sour pork Sweet and sour pork: thinly smashed fried strips of pork with deliciously tangy sauce The combo of these three dishes is the holy trifecta and Jin Jja Roo is killing it! Service: Food was served in less than 10 minutes and the sweet ahjumma in the front was welcoming. Parking: Easy as there is a lot upstairs and downstairs, had no issues on Thursday night at 6:50 pm. Bathroom: Cute af with the decorations and had a pleasant smell. Make sure you wear a shirt you're not afraid of staining and get to slurping!

If you're looking for delicious, authentic Korean food, look no further. My bf and I have been on the hunt for the best black bean noodles (jajjangmyun) for a while, and Jin Jja Roo is a winner. It is an unassuming restaurant located in a Korean shopping plaza with no-frills type service. We ordered the black bean noodles and spicy seafood soup with noodles (jjamppong). Both dishes were delicious. The black bean noodles came with a rich and hearty black bean sauce. The zucchini and onions were generously coated in the sauce. The jjampong broth was full of seafood flavor and had the perfect kick to it. It also came with a generous amount of mussels, squid, and veggies. Both dishes tasted so comforting and satisfied our Korean food cravings.

Korean friends took me here, I cannot describe how amazing their Jian jiang mian is as well as their tong sui, an extremely low key hole in the wall. The service is quick and efficient. The food is beyond delicious and extremely well priced for what it is. Will be coming back.

This place has been a hit or miss for me the last 8 - 9 years. The togo service is always packed nicely, and its solid chinese korean food. However this latest time we got our sweet and spicy chicken with black bean noodles, and it felt rushed and the sauce tasted like it was 90% oil. They said this is the way the sauce has always been, although we order this dish all the time. For now they are one of the lower tiered options in the area.

I always opt for special Black bean noodles. That's the deluxe version and worth paying a couple of bucks more. Delicious and fast service. Parking can be a nightmare during lunch hours.

Craving the classic flavors of Jjajangmyun (black bean noodles) and tangsooyook (sweet and sour pork), I opted for a combo meal, perfect for solo dining. And I appreciated that they had combo meals available even on weekends. The place was pretty empty and service was prompt. Tangsooyook was good, albeit with sauce a tad thicker than my preference. Jjajangmyun was a disappointment. It wasn't bad, but they overcooked the noodles, detracting from the dish's overall appeal.

Delicious Korean/ Mandarin Chinese cuisine made fresh and owned by actual Koreans. Very good and nice size portions. I love how they have combo meals so you can try more dishes. Definitely sharable do bring a friend or 2 or more.

Was in the area and craving jjajiamyeon yesterday, so I stopped by Jin Jja Roo for lunch. I ordered the jjajiamyeon (#1), which came out in a HUGE bowl. The flavor of the black bean sauce was great, though I felt like the noodles were a bit too soft for my liking and were stuck together making them hard to grab with the chopsticks. The dish came with onions and radishes which added a delightful crunch, lightness, and tartness to the meal. I also appreciated the warm tea they immediately served me on arrival. Parking was easy since the restaurant is located in a little plaza with a parking lot. Prices were very fair, especially because they give such large portions. My server was quick and very attentive. Overall this was a great experience, and I would definitely like to come back to try some of their other dishes!

I keep going back to this place when I'm in LA... can't stop craving the fried pork or chicken dipped in sweet sour sauce and their Jajamyeon something different about their food! As soon as my plane lands I'm already craving their food. And the service is amazing

We wanted Korean Chinese food. This was open....and 45 min to closing! The staff were kind enough to let us order and dine-in. The place is clean but small. We usually order the same items when we go to a Korean Chinese restaurant. OMG! This place blew me away. The food was well-seasoned and came out relatively quickly. We ordered: Shrimp Fried Rice Chicken in Hot Garlic Sauce Spicy Seafood Noodle soup Their tea is really good! Piping hot! Pairs well with the food. Try it! Enjoy! Afterwards, you can walk to the nearby stores to get a boba, a coffee or dessert.
