"A third metro Atlanta location of Jinya Ramen Bar opens Monday, November 11, at Alpharetta City Center. To celebrate its debut, the restaurant plans to give away free ramen to the first 50 people in the door at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. that day. Jinya-Alpharetta includes a dining room and bar and a patio facing a shared courtyard with neighboring Restaurant Holmes and Citizen Soul. The restaurant is known for taking a few liberties with traditional ramen broth recipes, like the tonkotsu black with pork chashu, fried onions, and garlic oil, the garlic tonkotsu broth ramen “cha cha cha” seasoned with fish powder, and a spicy creamy vegan ramen with tofu. In addition to ramen, Jinya also serves baos, edamame, rice bowls and curries, and poke tacos. The LA-based ramen chain opened its first Georgia location in Sandy Springs in 2016, followed by a Buckhead restaurant at the Powers Ferry Square complex on Roswell Road one year later. A fourth location opens at Plaza on Ponce in Poncey-Highland soon. Jinya takes over suites 3 A, B, and C along North Highland Avenue in the back of the Plaza complex. Open Sunday - Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m." - Beth McKibben

This is now my favorite ramen in Atlanta. Even though I was upset with the service here, the food is very good. For me, this is the best ramen in Atlanta. New review october 2024 : I was upset again with the service. The young Chinese girl was very rude. I asked for the menu, and she threw it at me. Also, the taste of the tonkotsu ramen was different than usual. I’m just confused by the service—I always tip more than 20%, but the service is still bad. Maybe this is the last time I will came back here..byebye

On a chilly day, I stumbled upon this cozy and inviting little ramen bar. From the moment we stepped in, the hosts made us feel welcome and seated us right away. The waitress was prompt and very friendly, quickly taking our orders. I ordered the Tonkotsu Black, and let me just say—the broth was absolutely incredible! I haven’t found anything like it anywhere else. We also tried the shrimp wonton and the Spicy Chicken ramen, both of which were equally delicious. The portions were generous and just right to leave us fully satisfied. I would definitely go back anytime!

Always one of my top choices to go for Ramen! Greeted by welcoming staffs every time we were here. I really like the unique Japanese decor, feels very homey.

Google
Drove 30 minutes from the Kennesaw location, because the wait to even get seated at the Kennesaw location was 45 minute wait. This restaurant is much bigger, has outdoor setting also!

Google
We ordered from Jinya through Uber Eats, and I've never had ramen with so little meat, especially for $20. The egg, noodles, and broth all tasted great, but this is terrible value for the price. Definitely something we would have asked about if we were in person. Photo is from when we put the noodles and meat into one of our own bowls at home, straight from the delivery container.

Google
Great food and great exprience, the ramen was amazing and it comes with big portions. 10/10 recommend if you want some delicious ramen.

Google
We have a Jinya back home in Louisiana, and we were super excited to see it in Georgia! It was the best service we have ever had at Jinya! We were seated immediately. We had the five piece crispy chicken as an appetizer. Their chicken is my absolute favorite fried chicken!! I always order the Jinya chicken ramen. My husband gets the tobkotsu black ramen. Our food was out in less than 15 minutes. Everything was super fresh. We love Jinya!!

Google
Been here a few times now. Food has been consistently good. Pork belly boa was a stand out for me, but the gyoza and salmon tacos were delicious also. We had the Tonkotsu and the black Tonkotsu ramens both broths were tasty and balanced.

Yelp
I have been to Jinya a few times and each time the food has been very good! The Ramen bowls are ample & flavorful with plenty of noodles. I would say the rating of 4.3 stars is accurate for the complete experience. The atmosphere, food & staff are cool, again food flavorful and staff very attentive. The only dig I have and not fault of the restaurant is parents letting kids run around unsupervised. I'll leave it at that. I had the Red Garnet bowl with mushrooms this time with a side of seaweed salad. The bowl was excellent and the seaweed salad was tasty but you didn't get much as it's presented well but most of the bowl was lettuce. My wife had the Spicy Creamy Vegan Bowl with chili sauce on the side to help control the spice. She said it was the bomb and enjoyed the entire entree'. They too have a very cool bar to hang with friends or significant other or if alone and in town on business and looking for an adult beverage & good meal. Located in the downtown Alpharetta square along with lots of shops and other places to hang but recommend JINYA if looking for a Ramen experience that can change your perception on Ramen. It's not your college experience, I guarantee! Enjoy!

Yelp
Went for the second time and it was as delicious as the first time. I loved what I ordered the first time so why change it up. I added a better pic of the pork bun in the photos. Both times it was crowded which screams "super yummy food". Great ambiance, lively and great service. Free parking garage. I suggest getting on the waitlist as soon as you decide you want to go especially on the weekend evenings. There were other Ramen restaurant choices but I really love the choices here and I know I love the food.

Yesenia B.

Yelp
Great Ramen!!!! Their fried chicken is tasty. Great location. Decent service - I would highly recommend

Candace M.

Yelp
The decor is great, the location in downtown Alpharetta is perfect. The spicy chicken ramen bowl is delicious!

Russell S.

Yelp
Food delicious service great clean and reasonably priced, a great variety of Asian cuisine, very good cocktails

Yelp
I could eat ramen every single day, I truly love it that much (even in summer). Jinya is located right in the heart of downtown Alpharetta. Although parking can be limited, I've learned it's usually best to just park in the parking deck behind (near the library). The spicy chicken is my all time favorite, but all of their menu items are delicious! They even have some summer specials including cold ramen and refreshing drinks like the watermelon delight or the cucumber chiller. They have a long list of toppings you can add to your ramen such as seasoned egg, spicy bean sprouts, or bok choy, etc., and their seaweed salad is a great starter! The tempura Brussels sprouts are another favorite of mine. I'm sure it won't be long until I visit again!

Georgia K.

Yelp
The broth for the original tonkatsu ramen was very flavorful, a rich and porky broth that coats thick perfectly cooked noodles. While I enjoy the flavor of the ramen here, there are limited toppings without an extra charge. If you choose to dine in, be warned that it can get crowded and sometimes too loud from the combination of a crowded small space and loud music. I enjoy the ramen here but I think there's other places that I would pick over Jinya if I want a less overstimulating experience with equally good flavors and quality.

Jane P.

Yelp
Consistent and delicious! JINYA is a great place to grab ramen in downtown Alpharetta! It's located in a bustling area that's really walkable and right in the heart of downtown, with lots of things to do. The ambiance is super chill and trendy, and the staff are friendly! My favorite dish there has got to be one of their appetizers, the JINYA bun! The pork inside simply melts in your mouth with the delicious aioli and crisp lettuce, and the bao is just so soft and pillowy. Their ramen is top notch as well and portions are great! I got the chicken chashu bowl for the first time when I visited recently and it was delicious! Highly recommend!

Jessica G.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious ramen! Great service, loved the ambiance, and it was just what we were looking for that day. Definitely need to check out more ramen places, but Jinya will continue to be on the list. Loved that you could order more broth or noodles. We didn't on this visit, but loved that you could really customize the dishes. Overall great and would definitely come back!

Blake Z.

Yelp
A solid chain ramen spot with friendly service and a surprisingly great atmosphere for a chain. It's a reliable choice and perfect for a laid-back date night.

Lakwan H.

Yelp
While in Georgia, I went to this Ramen restaurant and tried this ramen. I dont always eat professionally made Ramen, however, this was very delicious. I enjoyed every item in this Ramen and they all paired together very well. The restaurant was nice and the staff was attentive. I would love to try other items on the menu as well.

Tunicia W.

Yelp
Soooo. God forbid that my friend that actually used the Yelp waitlist app got quoted a different wait time from our other friend that just went and put her name on the waitlist. Yes, we know how amazing the waitlist can be. But to be told the waitlist time doesn't matter and that it was wrong, for it to actually work the way it's supposed to? Wow! Zanid (sp) the hostess was very snotty about this and was very surprised that we were able to sit down before she thought we were going to. Mind you there were several open tables in the restaurant at the time. What saved this visit is the food and service after we were sat. Our dishes were delicious-I had the tempura Brussel sprouts and chicken ramen (as it is on the menu). I also had a lycheetini which was okay but sweeter than I am used to.

Mom S.

Yelp
Pros: Bar service was good Food was was good Cons: Hostess was rude upon entering. I have no name because she wore no take. She was older and had a rounder face. Bathroom disgusting

Tia K.

Yelp
So so good! We walked in for lunch on a Sunday and we were seated immediately. The food came out pretty quick. We ordered the edamame, JINYA bun, spicy miso ramen, chicken chashu bowl, house salad, and lycheetini. Everything was delicious and flavorful! The restaurant can be a little crowded and noisy when busy, but we had a lovely experience!

Madhavi S.

Yelp
Alpharetta downtown has a nice ramen place and heaven for vegan people. The spicy levels are asked before ordering ramen for non vegan dishes and they are really spicy so think about it before saying 6 The vegan appetizer are just yum. Kids menu is also available and our kids enjoyed it. Service is really good and took care of us well. Ambiance is pleasant and lights up the mood.

Reg G.

Yelp
Pretty disappointed with our experience last night. Service was not good. Ramen wasn't great. We got 3 different Ramen's and they all looked very similar. No sauce with the gyoza. It felt like we were being hurried out the door as soon as we sat down at 6:30 pm.

Glenn S.

Yelp
Never disappoints!! Our favorite Ramen in the area. Friendly service. Quick delivery, comfortable surroundings

B. L. M.

Yelp
Bad experience. Dumplings were bland. And Luke warm. Daniel the bartender was chatting up at the bar so much with the staff my food was cold before he could bring the requested utensils out. Nope.

Tiffany L.

Yelp
If my mom didn't absolutely love Jinya's ramen I would never go back to this location. The one in Sandy springs is more forgiving. The server practically ignored us. Our food constantly sat at the service window. A couple dishes actually came out cold, and when I complained the manager just said to be patient. Seriously y'all get a 0 in service! Honestly the day we went my table was the only table of color. I hate to make it a race thing, but our server actually smiled at all her other tables and even though we were ahead the other tables. The other tables got served their food first. I swear if it weren't for my mom's birthday I'd left. Lets talk about the food now. 1) The jalapeño corn came so freaking late, that the hot plate the corn was on lost its sizzle. I didn't enjoy it. It was so bad cold greasy, and tasteless. I didn't even want a picture. 2) The vegan ramen was great & packed with flavor. The chili oil was the piece de resistance! Vegan ramen came luke warm & Kae Dama noodles sat at the window by the time it came the broth and noodles turned cold 3) The chicken wonton ramen came luke warm. It needed more spice, the broth was your standard shoyu broth. The ramen came so late the wontons did start to get soggy. 4) The kids meal Karage was great, nice and juicy. Would be better if it came warm. The kids ramen was again cold, but your standard shoyu broth. The kids chasu rice bowl was wet soggy and not warm. But it had a nice flavor. 5) the only I wont complain about is the tako yaki, maybe because it was the only thing that came warm. The flavors were there, the generous amount of sauce. The outer ball shell was nice and crispy. Honestly if this came cold it would've gotten soggy and straight up nasty. The best part of this was the cream on the bottom of the Tako Yaki. 6) Carmel Pana cotta, this came via manager so the ice cream didn't melt thankfully. The toffee sponge pieces were quite peculiar, but I enjoyed the flavor with the caramel and ice cream. I'd like to clarify, that the taste of the food was purely an solely affected by the terrible server, who brought it to us late and cold. I am sure the chefs at Jinya are very skilled and talented. However, I will not be coming back to this location

Adithya A.

Yelp
Jinya always provides excellent service and food. Excellent location with excellent choices

Jessica D.

Yelp
I was craving noodle soup and decided to try Jinya in downtown Alpharetta square. The creamy shrimp tempura was a pass- nothing special, the tonkotsu original was decent (I'm a thin noodle girl), and the spicy chicken ramen was a huge pass- super bland and underwhelming. In a pinch, I would go back for the tonkotsu if I was really craving ramen, but knowing it is pretty average in quality.

Daiane D.

Yelp
I used to love this place, going several times a month but my recent visit was disappointing. The broth tasted completely different, and several items were missing ( even the vegan meat ) from my order. I hope they can return to their previous quality

Victoria D.

Yelp
This ramen shop is an absolute gem waiting to be discovered by noodle enthusiasts far and wide. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the comforting aroma of simmering broth and the lively chatter of satisfied diners. The menu boasts a tantalizing array of ramen varieties, each crafted with precision and care. Whether you're a fan of the classic tonkotsu or adventurous enough to try their spicy miso, there's something here to satisfy every palate. The noodles are a work of art in themselves. Perfectly cooked to perfection, they soak up the rich flavors of the broth without ever becoming soggy. The chashu pork and runny soft-boiled eggs are perfected as well. The egg is runny and flavorful. The ambiance of the shop is cozy and inviting, with warm lighting. This location is in the heart of downtown Alpharetta so there are plenty of opportunities for shopping and dessert afterwards. Thamu, our server, was very friendly and attentive to our needs the entire visit. She was very inviting and quick to ensure our visit was pleasant and smooth.

Kandus J.

Yelp
Yummy place, especially if you love ramen! I'm a vegetarian so it's hard sometimes to find good ramen I can actually eat. This place hits the spot every single time! I love getting the vegan harvest and adding broccolini and Brussels to it! The service is always fast and sincere. The prices are reasonable too! The locations always have some fun decor as well. Lovely place to checkout and highly recommended!

Yelp
Food is fantastic ..but the SERVICE.. complete garbage. To start off with we ordered simple water and sprite. Took the girl 15 min and we had to ask for her to bring it. Then here comes the first episode - the water glass is cracked and I feel water dripping on my shoes.. my valentinos are soaked and I asked a different server to bring our server so I can ask for napkins..and she comes and takes the glass of water and her braided hair fell INTO my sprite and I asked her to get me a new one as well. And SHE HAD THE AUDICTY TO TELL ME THAT THE NEW sprite is ON HER. As if she's doing me a FAVOR?? HER HAIR WENT INSIDE it. And no for those of you who think she meant take it off our tab- I fully paid for my drink. AND NO she did NOT bring any napkins. Next we get our appitizer and waited for the sauce to come and lo and behold our server is disappeared yet again..had to ask another sever..she came and threw to go sauce cups on our table. Excuse me? We are here to DINE in on Valentine's Day not take out. What's with the nasty attitude?? Horrible service.

Paul P.

Yelp
Overall... quite impressive for a multi-location brand. Service certainly sets this place apart. Most food hits the mark for me. Edamame (3/5), jalapeño butter corn (3/5), spicy chicken ramen(4/5), tonkotsu(4/5), Tokyo curry chicken(4/5), umami miso ramen(3/5). Green tea mochi (3/5)... just go to Whole food down the street for better mochi Service - 5/5 Food - 4/5 Ambience - 4/5

Lindsay E.

Yelp
If I'm honest, visiting JINYA was an accident - I was trying to find Okiboru, but I'm glad that we came here instead! First, and this is really important to me, my party included myself and my two 3-year-olds and we were treated so, so well by the staff. Second, the parking and restaurant access was SO much easier, which is really important when you have exhausted toddlers in tow. Third, okay woah, how did I not know about the delicious food y'all have here sooner?! Here's what the three of us got to split: * the tonkatsu ramen *broth only* * Jinya bun (pork belly bao) * salmon poke tacos (well, these were *not* to split...) * mochi Those salmon tacos were so, so dreamy. Writing about them now makes me want to rush back for more! Everything else was excellent, too, and my kiddos thoroughly enjoyed themselves (except the mochi - they're not fans of mochi yet). While they don't have dipping ramen, Jinya has so many other delicious options, they're now my preferred ramen shop in Alpharetta!

Jordan M.

Yelp
If you like ramen, this is the place for you! My son and I have been here twice. He's the real ramen fan. But I'm always game for good food. The second time my son and I came, we were joined by my wife and daughter. We were sat at one end of a very large table more suited for large parties. Another family with five or six people were sat at the other end of the table. I ordered the Tonkotsu red with gluten-free noodles. Disclaimer is that although they offer gluten-free noodles, they cook them in the same water with gluten noodles. I ordered 5 out of 10 spiciness, and it was very very spicy, and I like spicy food. If you order a level six or above spiciness they charge you extra. Although ramen is good any time of the year, when it's colder outside, a large bowl of noodles really hits the spot. Both my son and I highly recommend!

Omar F.

Yelp
We came in about 45 mins before close with my little son in the stroller and they happily accommodated us and were very attentive. I had several questions and our server answered them all, and who appears to be the manager checked in to see how it went. Overall service was amazing! The food is as always , delicious and up to standard. Can't ever go wrong . The pictures don't do it justice ! Also the playlist they had playing made us want to dance hahaha. Def recommend for either date night or just a quick night out. I will say parking is something you have to plan for and it's a little ducked off the location BUT they have signs that really help guide you.

Lala C.

Yelp
Good place for quick soup, not very authentic. Annoying that they charge $15 for broth, dried noodles and then extra for veggies, spices, etc. that are typically included. That being said, the staff were accommodating to allow me to modify my order to use chicken broth instead of the vegan broth to enjoy more veggies offered in one of the latter options. Would not return, it seems to be busy as there were stanchions outside for crowd control. Seems like they are capitalizing on their motto "ramen is the craze". Not here for me, disappointing indeed, all hype.

Briana E.

Yelp
We came here about 4 days ago as a family. We got sat down pretty quickly considering it was packed inside. The service was excellent, they took the time to explain the menu to us. The food comes out pretty fast. I was craving ramen for the longest time and this was the perfect spot to fulfill it. It was so delicious. I'm not even kidding when I say we had it the next day ! It keeps you wanting more! I tried the spicy tofu ramen and it was just as good and the chicken ramen!! Ugh. The only reason why I don't go back for the third time is because I'm trying to be a mature grown up who watches what they spend lol the impossible taco took us by surprise of how flavorful it was. My husband actually ordered another one as soon as we finished it. We are not fully vegan but we do try what's out there. And I recommend you guys do the same if not already. Vibes were super chill and there were a lot of families and kids so please feel welcomed to bring them!

Laura S.

Yelp
Best Ramen hands down. Great service, nice bar too. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Perfect lunch spot on a chilly day. I like the ramen bar , for when you are eating solo. Personally I love the spicy vegan , my kid loves the wonton ramen. Jinya is the best in my book!

Deven B.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, fantastic food, and friendly service. Everything here is so good. The gyoza sauce is the best I've ever had, and the buns are a really great appetizer.

Jen S.

Yelp
There's NOTHING gluten free, can't go there. Too bad they haven't come up with a few offerings for the many many people that are gluten intolerant. Guess they don't need our business.

Todd C.

Yelp
Super restaurant for really great food and service. Very creative and authentic food served by a very attentive staff. Good attention to details by the kitchen staff and chefs. Menu has a variety of food to satisfy almost every ramen craving. Their small plates are delicious with quite a few options.

Arleen J.

Yelp
We have had way better ramen. This place was highly recommended online and the high ratings did not meet our expectations. The ramen broth for both our orders were more like a porridge consistency, which threw us both off. The noodles were different, in our opinion almost tastes like it was not fully cooked. We got the JINYA bun and fried chicken for appetizers; that was delicious!!! Service was amazing and vibes were great! Just honestly lacking quality of the ramen, in our opinion.

Miriam J.

Yelp
For a vegan, this is the place to go. They have a couple options and you can get them gluten free as well.

Shelly S.

Yelp
Delicious and fresh, always! One of our monthly favorites. If you're in downtown Alpharetta check them out!

Candiace S.

Yelp
The Food is fantastic! From the moment you walk in, you are greeted like you walked into Moes. It's a quaint restaurant setting that brings everyone together. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about everything and recommended a few items. We started with the house Bao buns that were incredible. The dough was soft and the pork was so tender. Add a little of the seasoning sauce and they were by far my favorite appetizer. My husband and I both ordered ramen. Mine was the black ramen and I added bamboo shoots. It was so flavorful and the marinated egg was great. The manager came by and told us the broth is cooked for hours on end, you can definitely taste it. My husband ordered the original ramen with an extra egg. I thought my flavor was excellent, until I tasted his. You can't go wrong with anything at this restaurant. We ate half of our ramen and we're getting take home containers. The waiter suggested, that next time we order double noodle for $3 and that way we have two full meals. I ate the rest of my ramen the next day and the flavor was still intense and yummy. Can't wait to go back with friends. We will be driving from N. Canton very soon. Thanks for an awesome lunch!

Jon C.

Yelp
Hearty bowl of ramen with great flavors. Service was fast and servers were efficient. Good vibe for families or couples out on quick lunch date.

Vatsal S.

Yelp
Average ramen, not spicy, ok flavors. Little overpriced as well compared to other better spots. Ambiance is really nice and authentic and service is prompt as well. Ok if you must have ramen in Alpharetta but with a short drive to Duluth, you have many better options

MikeAndTey V.

Yelp
We went there earlier tonight and asked for a table for 7 - 5 adults and 2 kids specifying that the kids are 4 yr old and a baby. The rudest, most condescending hostess we have encountered in any restaurant we've been to was here. We asked to be seated inside because of the baby but she insisted on sitting us on a high top table or outside. So I explained that we have a baby and we would prefer inside and not on a high chair to which she responded they do not seat guests inside for party of 6 or 7. This does not make sense because there's a group of 8 dining inside with 2 tables pushed together. She has this very condescending, rude demeanor. We decided to leave and go somewhere else instead. As we were leaving, the hostess again in a rude condescending tone said "You have a good evening!" Wow! We were floored! Your host/hostess is your front liine. It makes or break your business. You have just lost ours, our families, friends and future guests visiting from out of town.

Aja A.

Yelp
Everything is always so delicious!! Aaron was our server tonight and he was such a gem! Such a great personality and A+ service! I love coming here to eat after a long day at work in DTA!

Anna J.

Yelp
I'll preface that this place was super hyped and I'm picky about ramen so I had high expectations. Man, Jinya did not disappoint! First of all, LOVE that they have chicken ramen that is spicy! Big win for me. Second, love that they have calories! It's nice for people who are trying to be conscious of what they eat and I appreciate that touch. Either way, we ordered so fast and our food came out soon after which is the best! And let me tell you, this has to be by far my favorite restaurant ramen. I got the spicy level and if you like heat, you could definitely get the most spicy level because I had! This was such a big bowl of ramen and it was absolutely amazing. Can't wait to come here again! If you have never had ramen, try Jinya first!

Mike H.

Yelp
First time here and thoroughly impressed... the ramen broth was full of flavor, the bun was perfectly steamed, and the dumplings were excellent. Highly recommend!

Delaney W.

Yelp
Great a prompt service, waitress was attentive even though she had 4 other full tables. Great ramen & waitlist wasn't too crazy for a Saturday night.

Kristan H.

Yelp
We come here every Saturday after we go get our fresh vegetables and other specialty items. We have been coming here over 2 years. Each time we come to the market we have the same routine and that includes Jinya! Jen always greets us with a smile and knows our order. It is just delicious and when we try new things we are never disappointed! Highly recommend!

Ash G.

Yelp
I'm not sure why the hostesses here are so hostile but everytime we come you're guaranteed X amount of minutes before you get seated and then that turns into an hour. The server also doesn't come back and check on you so if you need anything additional forget it because it isn't happening. Overall the experience here is pretty awful every single time.
